I came to parlour 3 because no other salon in the area had given me what I wanted. I wanted to cut my hair way shorter than it originally was because I play sports and it was getting a lot to deal with. When I got there, everyone was so welcoming and kind, and I really felt respected for what I was saying and what I was asking for unlike other salons that treat me different or worse because I'm a teen. This salon has given me what i asked for every time I've gone and is always open to feedback and changing things for what you want. It's a very good environment here. My stylist is Abbie Lynn Chandler, I love her and recommend her for anyone in a similar situation as I was in or even if you just want to try it out. She's very talkative and asks you if what she is doing looks okay often so if you don't like something you get the chance to say. read more

Terrible, terrible experience here. I should have listened to the bad reviews. Over two appts, I had my hair highlighted by Savannah. Both times I was unhappy with the results and the issue in both cases really came down her skills (or lack of) with toner. Based on my experience, I would say that Savannah's skills do not match her pricing. At the end of my second appointment, when I expressed my concerns about my hair looking yellow, instead of addressing my concerns, Savannah rushed me through the rest of the appointment while avoiding eye contact with me. She was not interested in my feedback. At checkout I was charged $300, which seemed high for the partial highlight I was booked for. I was not given a bill, a receipt, or a breakdown of my services. At this point I decided not to leave a tip and to call salon management from the car. Unfortunately that's where things got worse. After sending photos of my hair to Caitlin, the salon manager, she said she thought my hair looked beautiful and I was overreacting. When I showed her photos of where my hair had broken off at the hairline, she told me it wasn't broken. I'm pretty sure this is what they call gaslighting. Caitlin basically devolved the situation into a she said/she said between Savannah and myself and it was clear I was the odd man out. She was on Savannah's side. After repeatedly belittling me, negating my experience and arguing with me over her differing opinion of my hair, I (the customer) had to steer Caitlin (the manager) away from the conflict and toward a resolution. I asked if another stylist could tone my hair. Caitlin begrudgingly agreed and said she would "reach out to me in the coming days with options." I could practically hear her rolling her eyes at me. At that point I didn't feel comfortable going back to the salon. I'd now spent over $700 in total at Parlour 3 over two appointments, still wasn't happy and was being spoken to like I was the problem. I called the salon receptionist and asked if she could clarify what I had been charged for. She said it was a "full highlight and a blow dry" - not a partial highlight as I'd been booked for. First of all, I was never told by my stylist that there was an additional charge for the blow dry - I would have declined it. Also, if my stylist decided to do a full highlight instead of the partial - she needed to communicate that to me, not just surprise me at checkout. I told the receptionist that I would not be coming back to the salon and intended to write an honest review of my experience. I then received a text message from Caitlin who told me she heard I'd threatened to "blast the stylist on Twitter" and she doesn't "stand for bullying" so I was not welcome back at the salon. Friends, I think that response alone speaks volumes. Caitlin has a very high school way of doing business. She escalates things to a koo-koo place pretty quickly, then seems to want to keep the battle going as if she's enjoying the conflict. Hardly what one would expect at an upscale salon. For the record, I'm not on Twitter. And it is perfectly within my rights to leave an honest review of my experience at any business I go to. Treating someone badly because you think they are a "nobody" and then trying to silence them is the very definition of bullying. Don't you find it ironic how the bullies are always the first ones to call someone else a bully? I ended up going to another salon for color correction on my yellow hair and had a great experience. However, it's ridiculous and unacceptable that I had to spend another $85 to have my hair toned after I'd just spent over $700 at Parlour 3 for (supposedly) 2 full highlights over the course of 2 months. Btw, my new stylist took photos of the back of my hair so she could show me that I did not receive the full highlight I was charged for. There were also bleed marks on my crown from the highlights I received from Savannah, which is an issue with technique. I've decided to dispute the $300 charge from Parlour 3 with my bank. As of this writing, Parlour 3 has a 3-star rating on Yelp. There's a reason for that. Stylist techniques are not current to what you find in bigger markets and stylist's skills do not match their pricing. The manager Caitlin is also clearly out of her depth in her role. I've worn extensions for 10 years. I've spent a LOT of money on my hair in the past and consider it an investment. I'm not foreign to spending 4-figures on my hair at any given time and felt as though I was treated most recently at Parlour 3 as though I couldn't afford to spend what was needed to achieve the look I wanted (after the fact). While getting my hair colored on 1/6 my stylist mentioned to me that she does the sewn in wefts by Kasey Welch. I had never heard of these as I'm accustomed to Bellamy hair and have always had K-Tips or tape ins. She showed me a weft and I was really impressed and told her I wanted to learn more. I explained to her that I really wanted length over volume and having a ton of hair was not important to me. I like the thickness of my hair and really just wanted to extend the length as I've done previously with extensions. I asked her what her recommendation was for what I needed as I've never had this brand or type of extension before. She said if I just wanted a little length that I could get away with 1 weft of hair and that "once it was sewn in, it would blend more with my hair than I could tell by her just holding it up to my head". I trusted her since she's the "expert" in this space and said ok. I bought the 1 weft of hair that Parlour 3 had available for sale and we scheduled time to put it in this week. I was VERY clear I wanted to achieve length and was not interested in extensions for thickness. She put the extension in and curled my hair. We all know anything can blend in if it's curled enough and I left thinking my hair was fine - though I was never shown the back. When I got home, I couldn't believe any stylist would let me leave the salon looking the way I did. It was embarrassing when I looked in the mirror at the back of my hair. For the price I paid for the extensions ($800 for the hair, service and tip), for a premium service at a premium salon, I was in shock at how obvious the shelf was between my natural hair and the extensions. She NEVER told me I'd need 2 wefts of hair to achieve length without a "shelf" being obvious. She knew I wanted length and knowingly installed 1 weft. My previous stylist would have NEVER done this and would have told me on the front end what I needed to achieve the look I wanted. That's the stylist's job and that's what I'm paying someone for. I'm not the stylist and I wasn't educated on these extensions, the install or how much is needed to achieve a certain look. That's what I relied on her for. When I met with Caitlin on Wednesday morning, she provided the solution to be I return the hair (which I can only assume they will resell to someone, which is against the law) but would not refund the service. She said the hair was sewn in properly and the service was performed and then proceeded to tell me that this was MY FAULT and my stylist assumed I wanted my hair to look like this.... I'm extremely disappointed and just wanted my money returned to me for the extension service. I had to go and have them taken out on Wednesday evening before my Thursday meetings as I couldn't go to work looking the way I did. I'm a Director in a sales organization and my outward image is extremely important. This was truly embarrassing. It's EVIDENT to me now I needed another weft of hair to achieve length and this was never mentioned to me. It was clear they had an extra weft of hair on hand and it was passed off to me - it didn't matter what it looked like and it's my fault somehow this happened according to Caitlin. I requested an appointment through their website and heard back via text after a week that they could not accommodate the appointment request, as what I was asking for would take "a very long time." I wasn't offered time with another stylist, or given appointment options for the future. If you don't have the capacity to accept new clients, state that on the website. But, after reading the reviews, I'm glad I didn't get the appointment. As a Chief Customer Experience Officer the lack customer service and support seems to be lacking and is extremely impersonal. read more

Update: I found another salon that helped me achieve my goals and even went above and beyond. They were understanding, knew what they were doing and made me feel relaxed and at ease. I not only reached a level I was hoping for, but I also added in some extensions. My hair did not break off or turn into a green pixie cut like Parlour 3 said would happen! I went to Gabby and paid for a full highlight. I told her that I am a nurse and that pull my hair back frequently. I also said that I hate for it to look streaky when I do. She was dismissive when I complained about my roots. This job took almost 4 hours and I spent almost an hour and half sitting with foils on my head... while she put foils on someone else's hair. This is one month of growth (done 1/23) and I paid over $300 for it. I feel ripped off of my time and money. I told her I wanted my hair to look "natural." Gaby is now claiming that although I made an appoint for a full highlight, she and I agreed "verbally" to change that to a partial color correction. Of course this agreement never took place and I never would have agreed to that... Regardless, I'm not sure this even qualifies as a partial. More accurate would be to say a few highlights. Caitlin (the manager) and Gaby are now claiming that Gaby told me it would take multiple treatments when actually told me she thought it would be two to get where I want to be, but that it could just be one... Caitlin then suggested that I was frustrated because I was waiting for my "goal" hair and not because I didn't get the full highlight I scheduled and paid for. So ultimately Gaby did a lazy job on my full highlight and the salon is now claiming it was actually and partial color correction that I verbally agreed to without realizing it. I literally feel like they are gaslighting me. So just know that for a $300 color job at Parlor 3, this is what you're hair can look like in a month. These are not before photos, they're after photos! Caitlyn has no business working in a high end salon with educated, professional women. Her management style more closely resembles that of someone running a bar or strip club. I don't know her background but it seems impossible to believe she has any higher education or professional management training. Update: I got my hair fixed. I was talking with two colorists at a much better salon. They both said they had never heard of doing a 'partial' color correction before and they wouldn't qualify what I had done as a partial anyway. That is was basically just brightening around the face. They also said that typically you have to sign a waiver when doing color correction, something I certainly did not do. Parlour 3's story is just nonsensical. read more

I've had nothing but great experiences at Parlour 3. I moved from Chicago to a small town in West TN in 2020 and trust no one in my town to do my hair well. After a ton of searching, I found my stylist, Savannah and she's been great. My hair looks and feels amazing after every cut and color she does. She's sweet, personable, and talented. She always works with me to schedule an appointment quickly and can usually make me an appt for when I'll be in town. Yes - I drive 2 hours to go to this salon! Upon arriving I entered upstairs, the girls brought me down to the salon, told me to take a seat and would let them know I was here. After waiting 10 minutes I asked the girl at the front desk if they knew I was here for my appointment and was informed they did not know. So first off no one told them. Second, my appointment was at 4:15pm, I wasn't called back till 5:05pm. I waited 50 minutes!! This is unheard of! I was expecting quality service given the reviews and quality of the salon. Third, who they paired me with to do my hair was so upsetting. Didn't talk much, found other things and people to talk to and cater to (hello I already waited 50 minutes for u not wanting to wait any longer). He acted as if he could care less if he earned me as a new client. I have never in all my years of hair stylist felt more uncomfortable and unwanted in a salon! Oh, to top it all off...it was $100 for a root touch up only. Didn't cut it, just colored my roots. So after waiting almost a hour, I pay even more then what I was told on the phone. Nice! Another week until someone replied to that email. Customer service is terrible. When I first went to her it was in terrible condition from having waited so long (covid) and she somehow got it better than it ever was before! She is also very kind and helpful with appointments. She even helped me find a place to take my very young kids. The reason I decided to write a review after this latest appointment is b/c of how compassionate she was when I got a pretty bad phone call right after I got the foils in my hair. She was so sweet, and even offered to go with me so she could help rinse them out if I needed to leave early! I don't know anyone who would do that! I booked an appointment here a few months ago for my birthday. I won't mention any names and I hardly ever write bad reviews, don't give tips at restaurants etc. overall I am a very nice person even to those that treat me bad. But man oh man I felt the lowest I've ever felt about myself going to this place. Basically I was sat in the chair and immediately told my hair would be hard to work on because it was naturally curly. I then asked if it would be easier to cut my hair wet (so maybe they could use the hair sinks or something?) Every salon I've ever been to has done this and it's been no problem but noooo apparently they'd never even heard of doing this yeah right ok. Now I am not of color and do not have super extreme curls just more of a wave really so I was shocked I was being shamed for this. I am the paying customer seriously? I read on here that other people were made to feel belittled and also told that they couldn't have what they came in for and wanted. I see people say they were made to feel like they didn't belong (i.e. Weren't good enough to be there.) WELL THATS EXACTLY HOW I FELT! Then came time for the color, and man that was a total disaster too! I said I wanted to go blonder. I had previously gotten highlights all my life but had always stayed at a golden brown. Now I i wanted to be blonder is that such a crime? They said they couldn't go much blonder because it would take multiple visits..... yada yada yada etc. Ok I understand that and even said that was fine. But when I walked out of this place that day guess what? My hair was exactly the same color just about as it was when I last got my hair done. Really? Also my last salon (I'm from out of state originally just moved here,) it was about $150 for a cut and highlight. Here? Almost double that. I get it's Nashville and I was prepared for this but when I pay almost $350 for a service I expect to get what I came in for and asked for very nicely for. Or at least to get treated like a basic human being with feelings! Then on the way out tried to make another appointment with someone else maybe? Nope. They just kept acting and saying anything they could to make it sound like they were booked solid till next Christmas basically. I will never be coming back here. Worst experience EVER in an upscale salon!! Scheduling is a nightmare! I was not completely satisfied with the color service I got and was told that another stylist could fix it.....at my expense! I moved from Metro-Atlanta and am used to going to upscale salons and paying a little more for a good stylist and receiving premium service. Leslie did my hair and she did an amazing job. Not quite what I envisioned but I think it came out even better than what I asked for. It was clean, everyone was friendly, and it wasn't crazy expensive. My favorite part was that i wasn't sitting in a chair for hours on end, i was there for only 2 hours! A friend of mine referred me here and she got lucky, but in my case I did not. Being new to Nashville and needing to find a good salon, I had high hopes in this one. Caitlyn did a beautiful job on my friends hair and I surely needed some work done. I had been growing out my hair for a year and was tired of the length and wanted a new look. I was told I needed to have a consult being a new color client, so I drove an hour in traffic after work to get there. I got there 15 minutes early and surely waited those 15 minutes for Tyler to greet me. I explained to him what I wanted and showed him pictures to go by. He gave me the whole line about cutting long hair to short basically trying to steer me away from what I want. Being as I am an adult and finally getting to the point of telling him if I don't like the cut or the length it's not your fault this is what I asked for. Now I am going to post before and after pictures to show everyone what another salon did for me. I also showed up in gym clothes and felt as if I wasn't treated as if I was not "good enough" to be there. He made every excuse not to do my hair, gave me no suggestions and just all around made me feel uncomfortable. Then suddenly being "booked for the next few weeks" after I had already stated in an email I wanted my hair appointment on a Saturday after my consult. Then he proceeded to try to push other girls into doing my hair. I have never felt so uncomfortable at a hair salon. Then even got to the point of everyone telling me they are booked until SEPTEMBER. So why did my friend get an appointment immediately? Hm. Quite odd if you ask me. Tyler and the coworkers even tried sending me to another salon! Completely absurd. I have never in my life felt so uncomfortable or as if I was "not meeting their standard" to have service there. Needless to say I went to love salon, got an appointment the day I wanted and had amazing service and got exactly the hair I wanted. So I have officially lived in nashville a year. I have been struggling to find a good hair stylist ever since I moved here. I like to be a very bright blonde with full coverage. I was reffered to Tyler by a mutual friend and I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS. Tyler not only did my hair better than anyone ever has, including the lady who did my hair back home for 8 years, but he was so funny! I truthfully have never had a better experience and I have been to ALOT of salons over the past 12 years of getting my hair done. I have been to Parlour 3 quite a few times, and in short I'm impressed! The salon is so fashionable and swanky, and I always feel like a total diva with the services I get there. So here it is. My girl Sarah M is LOVELY. She has washed, colored, and styled my hair multiple times and I always look GREAT! Sarah is professional and personable, and I would recommend her to anyone I know. She is a terrific listener, and takes time to fully understand the look I want. And she executes your vision like a total pro. I have also gotten a spray tan at Parlour 3 for my wedding. Terry helped me pick my perfect shade and was so professional, making me feel comfortable during the application. I was so happy with the glow of my skin, and got so many compliments!! I took a point off because Parlour 3 is a bit pricey, it can take a while to get an appointment for a haircut, and sometimes I get the feel that the receptionists are a bit snooty. All in all, Parlour 3 is great. Prepare to pay a bit for your service, but it will be worth it. read more

Very frustrating booking process. I was so excited to get into this salon and have a great hair cut, as most of them seem very talented from what I could see. I was also interested in extensions. It seemed like an easy booking process through the app, to be able to see who is available, when and what day, their fees, etc. I was also able to select that I wanted a haircut from the services offered by those specific stylists. I didn't realize that my appointment had been denied by the stylist and waited 2 weeks for the appointment only to learn the day of that I wasn't getting my hair cut. I was disappointed by that, but okay, things happen. I called the salon to ask about why I didn't receive a notification. They confirmed everything was correct in their system. So off to booking another appointment I go. I picked a different stylist, selected from their available schedule, made sure to check their profile to see if they were accepting new clients or had any other instructions. Booked the appointment. Denied. Almost immediately. Okay. Let's try a different person. Denied. Again, almost immediately. Tried a 3rd person. Denied again. What on Earth? I called the salon back, because surely there is a glitch in the app. Was told a lot of them won't cut your hair, unless you are getting color. I don't do color right now, so it was recommended to me that I go across the street to the sister location. I've never had so much trouble to try to get a haircut. read more

I scheduled my third appointment with Kat at Parlour 3 for color, specifically highlights and lowlights. First complaint is that she was not the only one doing my color, while she was applying my foils, her assistant was applying the foils to the back of my head. As an experienced stylist for 25 years, I only would have an assistant apply base color. You/the client are paying for a service and it's part of the stylists artistic process for her to do this herself. Needless to say, I usually wear my hair in beach waves and did not notice a problem right away with my color. When I got home, I was not 100 percent pleased, as the color was darker than I liked and appeared different to me than what we had discussed. It was two weeks later that when I tried wearing my hair straight and down it was not possible. My hair was extremely blotchy and looks as if I had a very poor quality color service or color service from someone that was not qualified. It took several calls to the salon to receive a call back and their process is to set up a meeting with the operations manager for a consultation to see how to proceed. This is the most absurd thing I've ever heard of. As a stylist, I would call the client directly, apologize and ask them to come in at their earliest convenience. Then I would do my best to try to remedy the situation and make the client 100% happy. I'm not one to post reviews but, the way in which Parlour 3 handles legitimate customer dissatisfaction issues is not the way I would expect a respectable business to do so. I was not even contacted by Kat, my stylist that was responsible for the mishap. I would advise seeking another salon. It is my personal feeling that this salon gets by with having a few celebrity clients and their stylist from what I had been told, does not even take clients in the salon. Haircut was 2 stars for the price of a 5 star location. Atmosphere and awesome shampoo almost pull this up to 3 star. When I made my appt they said there are "no junior stylists here, everyone is good". But I have visible lines cut into the side of my head (choppy and not faded), back looks like it wasn't cut at all, and the top is a poor length and can't be styled well. I can handle paying 45 for a men's haircut but I expect it to be better then supercuts. read more

I have never in my life left a bad review because being in the service industry, I get it...people can be unbearably rude, with unreal expectations. But it took over 5 calls in 1 week before I even got one person to answer the phone. I scheduled my hair appt and proceeded with my day. An hour later I realized I had something going on that day, so called back immediately to reschedule. Took two days to get another answer. The day of my appt (Monday), I drive 30 minutes to be greeted with a locked front door and Salon hours stating they are open Tuesday-Saturday. I proceed to call the salon 3 times with no answer (again) and assume they had made a mistake and scheduled me on a closed day. I leave and message my stylist on Instagram who responds that there was an entrance in the back alley and she had been there all day??? But seems totally unapologetic for there being no clear entrance signs or conflicting hours on their FRONT door...and then proceeds to ghost my messages. Today I get an automated text that I was supposed to have an appt today and was considered a "no show". Today was the original hair appt that I had to reschedule. So instead of canceling it in their system, I now have to pay a "no show fee" if I ever want to come to the salon in the future. Yea no thanks! Local Honey Salon was able to rescue the day though and take perfectly good care of me....for half the price. P.S. Don't bother booking here if you are not a celebrity or have less than 10k Instagram followers. They are all about the status and not the customer service. read more

Overall this is a beautiful salon with an amazing team. However, the girl working downstairs as a receptionist with the pixie hair cut has to be one of the rudest people I have ever met. This past weekend was the second time this has happened. Will stick to weekdays from here on out and will only deal with the receptionist upstairs who is lovely. read more
