I would not recommend living here. If you have the option to pay more for a better place, it's worth considering. I submitted multiple maintenance requests during my time here, and the issues were not handled effectively. Moved here in October--easy, accommodating viewing with good recommendations from Sabra the property manager. Every problem (minimal) has been taken care of easily & quickly. Easy to pay rent online. I lived at hunters Crossing for nearly 4 years. When I originally moved in, Melissa was the Manager and she was amazing. The property was clean and safe and any issues were resolved with kindness and respect. After they pulled her away and had new management come in the property has gone downhill. Anytime there was an issue with Kristie, her response was if you don't like it I'm happy to get you out of your lease. When I ended my lease to move to New York, I made sure I had everything in order and asked lots of questions about the move out process. I was told multiple times by multiple people because of the length I have been in the apartment I would not have to clean the carpets because they would be replacing them. In addition, I made sure the property I was in, from the house, to the garage, to the storage shed were all cleaned. There was no debris left behind, everything was swept, floors were washed, Appliances were clean, Windows were washed, Fans were cleaned, AC filter was changed. Thankfully I took pictures because now I'm receiving a bill for $256. For what they call light cleaning and carpet cleaning. I have absolutely no idea what they had to clean because I left it in better shape than when I had moved in. I even patched any walls from any curtain rods so that when they went in to paint, they would just have to paint over them. I am absolutely disgusted at how this was handled and that I had been lied to and now charged for things I should not be charged for. Pictures are attached and I would say buyer beware if this is the way they treat somebody who kept the property clean and was not an issue, Imagine if you were not as clean as I am. In final I requested someone from the front office to stop over to inspect the apartment before our moving truck left for NY and they declined instead asking me to complete the move out form and leave the keys on the countertop which you can see was done by the photos. **STOLE $950 SECURITY DEPOSIT** I moved in mid March 2019 and lived at Hunters Crossing for a year until my lease ended March 2020. I moved into the apartment March 15, 2019 and the lease ended March 14th, 2020 so for both of those months it was agreed I'd pay half the rent since I was only living there for half of the month. When I moved out I was told I never paid a security deposit which I did. ( I have in writing in the signed contract I paid a security deposit of $950) Chaylin Marta works at the front desk and unfortunately was not who I had worked with in 2019 when I first moved in. She was extremely difficult and unhelpful. At first told me I was wrong and that my lease did not end mid March and insisted I needed to move out by February 28th. I had to bring a hard copy of my lease down to the office to show her in person that was actually my move out date. They charged me full rent for both March rents to make the balance on my account balance zero and look like I never paid a security deposit and Chaylin has refused to let me speak to her manager or anyone for that matter. When I asked her why I have in writing that I paid she responded "all of the leases just say that" which makes no sense to me. I never lived there but looked at a studio once when I was looking for a place to live. They are entirely overpriced for the size of the apartments and they really aren't that nice inside. I found a different apartment not too far away that was bigger, had heat and hot water included and was more than $150 cheaper per month. read more

I lived here for 3 years several years ago. Pros: Nice place. Fantastic location! A beautiful wooded area with ponds, rivers, wildlife, and jogging trails. Lots of nice trees that look gorgeous in the fall. It's tucked back in the woods away from all the other condos, etc. in the area. It's also a very close drive to many great stores, and restaurants, and all the highways. Cons: A little pricey for the size of the apartments, they are small. Electric heat, which is very expensive in the winter. The laundry room was far from our apartment, we often drove there rather than walk 100 yrds. back and forth carrying baskets of laundry. Doing laundry there was also expensive, more than any other place I've seen. Someone also stole our laundry basket once, and someone also stole lots of nice clothes from my wife out of the dryer once. read more

Not a good place too live if you are on first floor. Grounds are almost always saturated. Management does not fix anything. Health department was called in twice that I know of due to mold everywhere. Pipes leak and are not fixed.Office person is a snippy young female who is rude and stupid. Heat is electric and wiring is so old that your electric bill is huge even if you don't turn on the heat. Laundry facility is expensive compared to other places. The potholes were huge. I remember this place 3 years ago it was much much better than now. It was cleaner. But now management let the place run down so bad. The road sucks , holes everywhere like you are driving on a minefield. The complex is dirty, outside windows are so gross, they've never been washed for years, they never vacuum the place. And people smokes inside the hallways. The wood on the decks are rotting getting dangerous because who know when that'll fall. It's moldy on the inside especially on the windows. They never upgrade anything. It's so sad. Now people classified hunters as one of the ghettoest and dirtiest among all the apartments around there. Just had my car towed, they watched us pull in on surveillance camera. They saw that I got out of my vehicle with someone that lives in the complex. They called the towing company minutes after I parked. They towed my car regardless of the fact that there were no signs posted anywhere in the area that I parked. Other visitor parking spaces had signs that said visitor parking, which is what i was. Completely not professional!! Not to mention I had to pay $120 to get my car back. So if you're looking to move there don't plan on having on visitors. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. Do not EVER rent from this hell hole. I lived here for 2 years and I will never look back. Since the day I signed my lease, it's been nothing but problems. And NOW, myself and 7 other tenants have been without a home for 3+ weeks now. Due to negligence of our roof and after all of the snow/rain, we now have no roof/ceiling. The best part? They still expect rent. The second best part? I've had piles of black mold in my apartment for months before my ceiling collapsed into my apartment flooding everything I own, causing me a chronic cough that will not go away. And even after reports of mold, they still installed the ceiling and carpet OVER all of it. Afterwards, we all got texts saying we could move back in. Little did we know, the mayor CONDEMNED our building and it had been condemned without notifying us for at least 2 weeks. They've done nothing to help us, they didn't even assist us in finding a place to stay. All we were told was "if you stay in hotel, save your receipts and we might be able to reimburse you." If anybody follows Fox 61 News, you probably saw our segment. The leasing office does not care about their tenants. The "owner" never showed his face during all of this either. I lived there for a year. DO NOT DO IT! The office staff is very faux-friendly to you until you sign and then it's all downhill from there. The apartments are small, but at least look nice when you first see them and they are all freshly "cleaned". This is just a facade... everything breaks down, and good luck getting them to fix anything, or in any sort of reasonable time frame. The fridge makes sounds, loud enough to wake you... they say you must not have enough in there (it was full like any other fridge, anywhere). Water leaks through the ceilings and through the slider door to the porch if it rains. All the floorboards creak, which you will not notice when simply viewing the apartment if someone is not upstairs, but it is very bad, and staff says they will not fix even though they acknowledge the problem. Everywhere you step creaks after time, but worse is if you are one 1st or 2nd floor because it creaks above you constantly while the people residing there are home. I cannot even explain how bad, I did not sleep for a year pretty much. The grounds are alright, although to get to the laundry is a hike and usually driving over there three times is necessary (to wash it, switch to dryer, and pick it up) and it's expensive. They also lock it up strictly at 10:00pm. They allow pets but you must only walk them around the perimeter of the property and nowhere on the nice paths and grounds, and the fee to have them is high. Also, the speed bumps are a pain and very large and I know of 6 different people who's cars were damaged by going over them very slowly even. Please think twice... no... 10 times before renting here. Trust me, you will regret it. Not worth the price, there is so much better in the area (especially with the 12 other apartment complexes or so on that road). Look elsewhere. read more
