The combination of these really stinks - pay $6.75 for parking only to find the pool is closed. The gym is amazing with dozens of complete weight setups of all types, I can't really imagine a better equipped gym. Basketball, badminton, and lots of other things go on there that I don't know about. I mostly do strength-training and then laps in the pool. The locker rooms are excellent - clean and well equipped. So just because the stated hours are open during the week, doesn't mean there's anything going on and you can't like go behind the fence and there's no digs or anything, or even any place to walk. Sure there's picnic tables if you wanna just sit and eat your lunch with a bunch of corporate office buildings all around but it's definitely not something I would drive 45 minutes to unless you're actively going to one of the scheduled interpretive program.

Justin and Jasmine made sure we stayed hydrated, and regularly brought us into the air conditioning to avoid overheating. They ensured our safety every moment we were there. The rope course was insanely fun, the giant swing and zip line were a blast and our favorite part was honestly the rock climbing! Justin and Jasmine were fantastic - we will definitely come back (preferably not during a heat wave haha) and hope they will be our guides again - every single person today made it memorable for my family! Joined in a few times for public skate. Today's experience was not good given the attitude of the…read moreolder woman (short curly grayish hair) working the main counter. Her attitude was not pleasant. I ordered multiple tickets online well in advance and she seemed to get an attitude about not being able to find them at first. I offered to give her the invoice number or show her my online purchase. Her first immediate response was I purchase them for a different day. The second interaction was this same woman proceeded to charge at the main rink door yelling at kids and parents that they are not allowed to use the red "helper" walker things. She told my kids that she's too big. Then the older child in my group, she proceeded to tell her to give her the red thing. Her attitude was tone was aggressive and inappropriate. Management needs to take note of her terrible customer service. Perhaps if she is having a bad day at work, she should stay home. The food business was friendly. The food was service was quick and the fries were yummy. The young man handing out the skates was friendly.

The paths aren't clearly marked so you end up wandering aimlessly. There are sunken spots and areas where you can't tell if the ground is stable. There were random groups of people chanting right when we entered. The boardwalk toward the far end goes nowhere and there's nothing memorable or worth the walk to see. We saw a few lotus flowers and many lilies and a great blue heron made my day! Apart from that, a flop! I would probably never come back.

Our kids had a blast doing the gem mining, which was a fun bonus after a day of sightseeing. The location is hard to beat if you're visiting Washington, DC. It made getting into the city each day easy and convenient. We didn't get to enjoy many of the campground's amenities because we spent most of our time exploring DC, but based on everything we experienced, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. There's parking along the street. The playground itself is less busy compared to other playgrounds and kept well. There's one high-tech activity for kids and plenty of slides, climbing structures and rest areas for parents. Restrooms are nearby.
