Since I wasn't sure which site to choose he walked the entire park with me, teaching me about the different trees and showing me each site. He spotted a weed and we stopped so he could pull it. He's a treasure. Ps, he built it all himself many years ago, landscaped it and cut all the trails as well! I'd guess him to be near 80.

The…read moreroom also felt smaller than expected, and the overall experience did not feel like a resort. It felt like an RV park with a few manufactured homes. We were asked to leave because our dogs were briefly off leash the night we arrived. My partner had an accident in the cramped quarters and got a black eye. In the commotion, our golden retriever got out while he was going to the car to get ice. When we realized he was missing and opened the front door, he was sitting there waiting. The next morning, we were walking our dogs from the unit to the car on the property, looking for their leashes, when the park manager, Deidre, confronted us about the leash rule and said our dog had been "all over the small park" the night before. We tried to explain what had happened, but she was unnecessarily confrontational and focused on the fact that we had "broken the rules." She also considered it another violation that we had stepped out from our unit to the driveway of our rented home without leashes. After several minutes of being scolded while we were outside trying to leave, she said, "I am not trying to be a hard ass." At that point, we told her she was definitely going overboard. I could not change what had happened the night before; I could only leash the dogs going forward. In frustration, I cussed and asked what the actual penalty was so we could stop having a confrontation on our vacation. She returned within the hour, knocked on our door, and told us, "The penalty is to leave." She added that if we did not leave, she would call the police. We packed up and complied. Frankly, I was not upset about leaving because we did not like the accommodations and had felt stuck with a three-night stay we had already paid for. On our way out, we stopped at the office to discuss the unused nights. Deidre arrived, intercepted the conversation, refused a refund, told us to leave, and said she was calling the police a second time. What shocked us most was that Deidre tried to keep payment for nights we did not stay. We worked through Airbnb and ultimately received the refund against Diedre's wishes. Future guests should know this is an RV park, not the waterfront resort experience the listing suggested to us. We found a real beachfront place down the road for much less money.

The staff is very friendly and the park as well maintained. They have a laundry room and a new dog run area. You can walk down to the ocean from the RV park. The beach goes on for miles in either direction. The beach can get windy at times, but on this particular trip visit, we had outstanding weather. They used to have the Tortuga Mexican food restaurant; however, that went out of business recently. Arch Rock Brewery took over their space. Does it get any better? A brewery and hot tub at the RV park at the ocean. The resort also serves breakfast now, and we took advantage of that. My favorite breakfast items were the sausage breakfast burrito and the French toast. They also make delicious mochas.

After clearly stating five times that we just wanted to rent a spot, the person at the front office was extremely rude and ultimately told us we couldn't stay there. Don't stay here, it's a waste of time and money. If only the owners cared more.

The tent area where we stayed was decent. The fences were replaced due to a rough winter and the sites seemed clean. The bathrooms look repainted and had a sign on them stating daily maintenance. That I can tell you in not true as the bathrooms in the tent area are not routinely checked on. The prices however continue to rise and maintenance and overall comfort goes down. Pack em in and make em pay should be the motto. The family itself is on of the wealthiest in Gold Beach and should be over joyed to represent Gold Beach and welcome visitors with not only open arms but clean and well maintained facilities. The place was just ok. Lots of other options but closest to town and having Indian Creek Cafe so close in easy. Lets step it up Indian Creek.

Known to berate people out on a whim is another deal. Geez, tone it down a bit and give people some space to relax. Pros: *Super quiet *Staff helps guide rigs in to park. *Probably not great for kids. *Beautiful location on the river. *Bathrooms; very clean. *Prices are reasonable. *Decent wifi. *Owner pays attention to keep the riff raff out. Cons: *Gravel spots. *Super small patios that are heaving which could lead to twisted ankles exiting rigs. (Request to owner: Remove some of the lawn and improve patio size, this much needed improvement would also use less water and allow patio furniture more space). *Uptight guy owner. *Many deer hazards on the road to town.

We almost didn't stay the night but the bed was surprisingly decent....and we were tired after a day of adventures. The view is nice, but certainly not worth the filthy interior. The toilet clogged the first time we used it. There is a plunger available, which tells me this is an ongoing problem. The bathtub was absolutely disgusting, with hair in multiple places. We found a fruit pit on the floor, a pile of change, and sand in a lot of places. There was no coffee in the unit. We went to the office, but it was closed. We loved staying at this park, the only reason I deducted a star is no WiFi, from our spot anyway…read more We chose it because it was close to Jerry's Jet Boat rides, only a 5 minute electric scooter ride, and right next to the beach. We didn't seem to have WIFI, but we have excellent 5G Verizon service so we could stream from our phones. The managers are so friendly and helpful, our Motorhome with trailer was too big for the pull through spot I had reserved, so they figured out another spot for us. Then the gentleman even took my husband to see the site, with its new blacktop pad, ahead of time in their cart, to make sure he was happy with it, and helped us back our trailer in and disconnect. The small airport between the campground and town works as a great buffer for any road noise from hwy 101 and only a few planes landed and took off in the 4 days we were there, providing a little extra interest. We purchased ice at their store for a much more reasonable price than local places too. We will choose to stay here again in the future!

My first thought was that it is more remote than I had for some reason assumed. I really appreciated the relatively large spans of almost no civilization and all nature. Second thought, the entire Oregon coast is stunning...the most beautiful coast line in the country in my humble opinion. Rugged, treed, full of wildlife, serene. Third note, the corridor did have the most rock formations as compared to other parts of our coast, very fun to admire, especially from the higher vantage points of the many, many viewpoints along the route. Overall, a stunning area...but let's be real...it's just another jaw-droppingly beautiful piece of a state overflowing with spectacular sights.

I'm a traveling nurse who worked the night shifts at the local hospital. I have been able to sleep during the days without difficulty. The rafting itself was amazing with a variety of rapids and scenery. We saw a lot of wildlife around the lodges and during rafting. Our guides made great lunches which we devoured at gorgeous locations along the river banks. The front desk staff that helped with our reservations as well as pre and post trip lodge accommodation at Morrions lodge were nice. Shout out to Lisa for everything she did to make our experience memorable. Highly recommend the rafting as well as the morrison lodge. We will be back soon

My wife and I, along with my 12 year old son and 10 year old daughter had the BEST TIME EVER. The Rafting was great. The service at the resort was a 10+. The food was even better and we will definitely be back to stay 6 nights next time.
