Nice park, very clean and well kept. Bathrooms and showers are also very clean. Staff is friendly and efficient. One critic: youngsters on E Bikes "fly" through the park with no regard for pedestrians or folks walking their dogs. Speed limit is 10mph, but they exceed 25 . Accident waiting to happen!! We stayed here in 2022, 2023 and had reservations for 2024. We had to cancel due to unforeseen medical issues. The campground kept the $30 cancellation fee which is normal and fair. However they refused to refund over $200 for the cancelled trip. This is the ONLY campground out of 10 on our trip that refused to refund our money. I explained that the medical issue would probably prevent us from coming back again. They said the manager would call me within a week. That never happened. They could care less. BE AWARE! If you have any reason to believe you might have to cancel, you should probably consider staying elsewhere. read more

Tight squeeze @ AtRivers Edge. The sites are not what I would call spacious. You are squeezed in pretty tight not enough room for our awning to fully extend and just enough room for a chair and walkway between RVs. The picnic table had to be in front of our RV so we are inside. There was no fire ring at our site, for obvious reasons. There were several along the River bank mostly used by those RVers right there. It is right above the Chetco River and a short walk to the actual river. The internet is much to be desired, never could get it to work for us. Cant review the restrooms as we are self contained and did not use them. The staff was friendly, I'd give 5 stars for them. read more

Lots of reviews are about reservation concerns. They were VERY accommodating with us and the owner is very polite and friendly. I believe they have a newer reservation system, I imagine still a challenge as this place is large and many situations to deal with. Some people either are new to campground use or like to bitch. Be flexible. Wi-fi is very decent, does have some challenges. Bathrooms are spotless and very new. COIN showers, now you know. Staff are nice and try to keep the riff raf out. The WORST thing about this park is the rock quarry across the river AND right next door! Thank God they stop with all the truck back up horror beeping on weekends. Otherwise 5 star. read more

This is a very nice RV park and very friendly employees. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is that we made reservations well in advance, requesting and paying for a river view space. The space also showed on the map that it was a long pull through. What we found is that they cut the pull through space in half and added another space behind ours, making it a much shorter space and a back-in. We were OK with that except that then our tow vehicle had to be park horizontally in front of our space, making no river view. The only view was of our tow vehicle AND the river-front space across from us which had a vehicle and trailer parked. read more

No TV. They charge for showers. It's only 25 cents for 8 minutes but can be a hassle if you don't have quarters. Why not add 50 cents to The Dailey rate. No one would care. It annoyed everyone I spoke with. Other than that a beautiful park. read more

We had a GREAT experience when we visited AtRivers Edge. Coming from central California, it goes without saying that the summer weather in Brookings beats 110 degree heat, any day of the week. Mary was wonderfully pleasant upon our 6:30 PM arrival and it got better from there. Roger showed us to space 99 and we were SET! The bathrooms are very clean (3 showers per side in the main restrooms - $0.25 per 8 minutes) and even though the campground was effectively full, it seemed like we had the restrooms all to ourselves. The place was VERY clean. We had ZERO non-friendly encounters - couldn't have been happier. Thank YOU to everyone there! read more

Located on the South Bank of the Chetco River. Sites are kept clean. Nice cabins. I don't like there is a charge to use showers, so pack your quarters. Can be a bit of walk to the trash because only one location. Tengo Internet service and they have repeaters locations in park but not that good. I find it more relaxing than staying at beach area. Nice RV Park although you are parked very close to the next camper. The lady that checked us in was not a nice person. She was extremely rude. We went back to the office after we realized we didn't have a WiFi code and the lady basically called us a liar and that they always put it on the paperwork when we asked to just give us another code she made us bring the paperwork she gave us back to prove she did t do her job. So we had to walk back to our campsite get the paperwork a d come back. When I came back she said I'm helping someone else and you have to wait. I killed her with kindness but would never stay here again do to this awful person. We have been RVing for many years over 30 years and never not once been treated so bad. So unfortunate to have unpleasant people ruining your business. read more

This place is so great! A little off the beaten path, but oh so worth it! Up the south bank of the Chetco river 1 1/2 miles (approx.) It sits right on the beautiful river,that you can see all the way to the bottom of. Friendly , and easy check in. We stayed in a cabin for the weekend, 1 queen bed, and a bunk bed. We cooked outside on the fire ring which was pretty cool. I had to buy a little coffee pot for my morning go go juice lol. We seen deer, quail, and osprey. We took nightly walks around the park, there are about 30 permeant residents here. So friendly! They offer the cabins, a few "hideaway huts", yurts, and a teepee!! Oh and of course RV spots. The free wifi worked great a d the restrooms and showers were very clean. Bring quarters for a shower. We used 2 and both of us showered nicely . We will definitely be coming back here when time allows. read more

My sister from California visited me during this time and stayed in "Betty the Airstream", a nicely appointed rental with all the comforts of home, plus an outdoor fire pit next to the Chetco River. Idyllic! It's the most pleasant RV park I've stayed in, and I hope to get back there some day. read more

This place has so much potential, and is poorly run. I booked my site 3 weeks prior to arrival, requesting and reserving a deluxe spot. A week before arrival I called to add an additional night, and it was made very clear we HAD to be there before dark, they DO NOT park people after dark. Enroute to the campground, I was called 3 times! Twice to ask where I was, and once to ask where my family members were that we were camping with. We traveled from 5 hours out, leaving our home at 1:30. I was scolded for being there almost too late and that I COULD NOT park my trailer without the afterhours crew. I asked for my site number, I was hesitantly given it, but not without being reminded that "I COULD NOT park my trailer alone, so it didn't matter what site I was in". I was not in the deluxe site I had paid for and reserved, the reply I received was " yeah, that happens a lot, we move people around all the time". Upon arrival, the gentleman that parked us was so helpful and kind. The park is a two sided park. The side with the cabins, yurts and pull through sites is very clean and well managed. The other side of the park is a mix of long term campers, storage sheds, boat/rv storage and weekend campers. Maintenance on this side of the park is not a priority, clearly. The weeds are over grown with glass in the camp site divider. The long term people are questionable and the gentleman parked behind us had cameras on his trailer that faced our campsite! You pay 50 dollars a night to camp here and have to pay to use their showers. There are 2 ways to the water, the first is straight down a steep cliff and the second is behind a gate. So, if you have kayaks, rafts or anything of that nature you have to lug it to the river, never is the gate unlocked. The icing on the cake was when we went to pay the bill! My husband was told if he used his credit card he would receive a 3% service fee and that our "late fee" for arriving at 7:30pm had been removed. I will never visit this park again. read more

We had to cancel reservations due to my husband having prostate cancer and treatment was going to be taking place during the time we had reserved. Of course, none of this was planned. God forbid, he should have to be treated for cancer. My down payment was $120 (should have been $70) and I was refunded $70. $30 is being held for a year and we or someone else can use it. $20 is taken away from us for writing our name down. WOW! I asked them for consideration because we can use all extra money now, but no dice!!! I just lost $50 and am not happy about it. They deserve a bad review !!! read more

SO glad we found this gem of a place! We had our Travel Trailer in space 201 for all 5 nights of our stay. Perfect view of the Chetco and easy walk to the "beach"/river access below the park to fish, launch the kayaks, take the dog for a swim/ walk, or just chill and take it all in! AND because this park does not allow tents or have a space for tents we set up our recent HS graduates in the on-site tee-pee, but they ended up spending 1 night in the tee-pee (a little too rough, not completely enclosed like a tent), then 3 nights in a single cabin (which was perfect), and our last night in one of the Yurts (all cabins had been pre-booked) which ended up being really freaking cool! We unintentionally played musical RV park during our stay but the ladies in the office were extremely accommodating.....100%!! read more

The camp ground hosts were very accommodating and pleasant. The owner/manager was terrible! Very poor customer service and took her (Connie Law) 10 days to respond to my multiple requests for a one night refund ($50.00!). We used no hook ups and were in the smallest site on the property. I just spent 4 days here. This was our 4th time staying there. Unfortunately it will be our last. We made reservations months in advance and asked for a river view site. We were put between to residents with no river view. When we asked why we couldn't get a different site the woman at the desk got an attitude and said they were full. We walked twice a day and every day we noticed 4 river view sites that were never occupied. There were also other non river view sites that were not occupied. Instead we were forced to look at residents run down rigs and all their stuff stored outside everywhere. One of the 3 days we went and checked out other nearby RV parks. We will definitely being staying at one of them next time. read more

I made reservations a few weeks in advance to our trip and requested a "yellow" spot. The lady confirmed over the phone she had a yellow spot reserved for our arrival when I put down our $50 deposit. We drove the 5 hours, to find out they didn't have a yellow spot available for us as promised. Very upsetting. We were told next time to tell them specifically if we want a certain spot, I have the email that specifically says we wanted a yellow spot. Not sure how much more clear I needed to be, especially when the lady confirmed it with me. Day 2, its 90+ degrees out and we had left to run an errand and came back an hour later to the power being out in the entire park, our dogs were inside our trailer with the AC on when we left, we received no phone call to let us know this had happened, even when they have records of each visitor that has dogs staying with them, and our contact information. No, they don't have to go out of their way to do this, but it would have been nice. We also have a 10 month old baby, so no electricity in this heat was a nightmare. Power came back on around 12am after it being out for 5 hours! Day 3, we get a letter delivered to our door stating they want everyone to cut back on using power, and not to run our AC's as much, are you kidding? I know it's not their fault that the power went out, but if you don't have enough power to run the park, even when it gets warm, then don't run the park. We shouldn't have to sacrifice our paid for luxury, because the park can't handle the overload of electricity usage. The WIFI barely worked the entire time we were there, and sadly we were actually excited to leave and go to a different park on day 4. The park was nicely located on the river, and the spots were decent, most of the staff were friendly too, that's why I gave it 3 stars instead of 1. read more

NOT PET FRIENDLY SURROUNDED BY DOGS WHERE I WAS "placed". One owner of the park heard the symphony of dogs barking as dogs do and quiet 10 minutes later. I received a hand written eviction notice giving me 7 days for barking. After being there for 2 months. Found out she was charging me more than other renters too. Go where your pets won't be threatened. Not here. Bad people bad business practice. Never again read more

Okay, I always hesitate to provide 5 stars, but I had to go with this for the cabin deals. The cabins are $40, and there is no sale tax in Oregon. The cabins are newer, and well-kept up. I noticed that the landscaping is a big deal here, and I saw several people working on it in early May while I was there. It's a mile or so up Chetco from the coast, so it's not as windy and wet as it would be closer down by the ocean. Why 5 stars for price on cabins? Well, the KOA in Crescent City, which is in the redwoods but has older cabins, charges $65 for the same deal. So this is definitely the more affordable choice for the same accomodations. And, frankly, Brookings is much sunnier and warmer, in general. Yup, it's the "Banana Belt' of Oregon. I've seen Brookings balmy and sunny in the middle of December, when it was in the low 20's inland. And Crescent City is way foggier, and Gold Beach (30 minutes north) is ALWAYS windy. There are several nice beaches in Brookings, including Lone Ranch, just north of town, Harris Beach (state park with yurts), and Clifford Kamph County Park (Del Norte County). There are dozens of coves and other nice spots all along the coast in this area. Now that my BFF has moved to Brookings, I'll be checking out more of the campgrounds around Brookings, and I'll get back w'itcha on them, okay? PS - remember, no cooking inside, bring your own sleeping bags..... read more

Thanks Cindy "the office manager" for letting us know that we could not enter the park after dark due to policies and liabilities that come with working in a private RV park. We were really looking forward to being able to pull right in, perhaps stay a few more nights, meet our friends that live in Brookings and take it from there. Cindy, due to your lack great customer service skills there is no way we would feel welcome anyways and are choosing to stay somewhere else, and that goes for our fab RV Club too. read more
