I have been a regular patient here for over 10 years, so this review is long overdue…read more Dr. Alan Philips is an incredible eye doctor, but what really earns the 5-star rating is the entire support staff. I feel like everyone at the receptionist desk, the assistants who run the various exams prior to seeing Dr. Philips, and the folks running the glasses fitting room all truly care about their patients and also enjoy working here. Every follow-up phone call is pleasant, every conversation shows that they care. I am a customer for life with this team.

From check in to eye exam to check out, it took 30 minutes. They have a machine they can use in lieu of dilating your eyes. It cost $35 and is definitely worth it. I've seen Dr. Stacy Phillips and Dr.Kirk during my annual visits. Both women are friendly and listen to you. If you're looking for a new eye doctor, highly recommend checking this place out. They also have an optical shop with a wide, variety selection of glasses for men, women & kids. On a personal note, Dr. Stacy Phillips was able to help me solve an on going issue with my left cornea by referring to another specialist doctor. I'm truly grateful for her for helping me resolve with what I thought was an "issue I just had to deal with" for the rest of my life.

I searched for a long time to try to find a place that could make amber tinted prescription lenses…read more I found a place online in Europe that was going to charge a ton of money, but then I came across Eye Style Optics, who was able to get me exactly what I wanted for a much better price! I'm so happy with my purchase from here and would highly recommend this place to anyone! I love wearing my glasses at night while I'm getting ready for bed so that I can fall asleep easier. The glasses do a fantastic job at blocking blue light. And they look great too! I now have a regular pair of glasses for everyday use and an amber-tinted pair that I wear before bed every night. Spencer was very helpful in helping me decide on the exact color that I wanted.

It is kind of understood with these eye glass places that they are going to hit you with at 150% to…read more600% markup, and in return they will manage all the details and headaches (of which there can be a LOT of ) and generally make it painless for you. So it was alarming up front how uncomfortable they were answering questions. They seemed surprised I wanted to know more than someone should call me at some time in the future, to let me know they would some day do something for some unknown amount of money. Knowing the markups in question I insisted on at least knowing how much we were talking about for a set of replacement lenses. They begrudgingly came up with a price of $600 dollars. When I asked to confirm that was just for replacement lenses they again wouldn't answer and just dropped the price by $150. Their markup was that high they could cut that much off and still be fine. Which they were apparently more comfortable with than just answering my question, or really any questions. I opted to go else where.

Dr.Pachy is great! She is very professional, knowledgeable, thorough, and really hears what you are…read moresaying. She has helped me find some great options that work best for me. Ruth was great! She made me feel comfortable to take my time when looking at different frames and she helped to tell me not only which ones she liked from the ones I had selected, but why they worked on my face and for my needs as well. The waiting area is very nice, even though I rarely spend more than a few minutes waiting, it is very pleasant. I look forward to my annual eye appointment every year because I feel like they help me (checking the prescription on my old glasses to see if they still work for me, for example) and hear me out and I leave seeing better with a fun new pair of glasses. It's an annual treat!

I can no longer recommend this practice to anyone. The ophthalmologists are very friendly and…read morereally good, but over the last year I have experienced what I consider to be questionable business practices. I was a patient for over 12 years, but I am probably not going to be anymore. Let me disclose somethings that they do NOT disclose until you are already done: 1. If you bring in an outside pair of glasses, because you don't like what they have in stock - they will charge you at least $20 - even if they are filling the script and you are their patient. You brought in a pair of glasses that was not purchased through their store. 2. If you get cataract surgery, and you later need a pair of readers, they sold my father an (81 year old man) readers that cost over $700 which could have been purchased OTC for less than $50. 3. Also, if you wear contacts - they will charge you $85 - not covered by most insurance. Doesn't matter that your prescription hasn't changed, they just want the additional $85 - as "there are materials involved," so I was told. I don't recall anything different from any other eye exam. It ended with, "we have to renew your prescription." So there it is - $85 to renew prescriptions.

My mom and I are from out of state, so it was a shot in the dark bringing him here, but wow, I'd recommend this eye center to anyone! I didn't think it was a stye, but hey, I'm not a doctor, so I just went with what he said. He referred me to another facility. Once I got to that facility weeks later, turns out, he was incorrect and should have never sent me to the other facility. The facility that he sent me to works very closely with him so they were very surprised when I showed up and everything that he had sent was incorrect. The other office apologized to me for making me wait and go through all of this hassle for nothing. They were pretty shocked about what happened. He wasted my time and my money, and I ended up having to go for a third appointment somewhere else. That also postponed my treatment. Dr. Schwerdtfeger (Dr. Joe) would not recommend. If you are a doctor and you were unsure of the next steps a patient needs to take, tell them that. I would have more respect for a doctor if they told me the truth, instead of sending me somewhere that couldn't help.
