Dr. Hurtado is amazing! I was diagnosed with Nystagmus and couldn't see clearly for one month. I was having a terrible time and miserable and had an optometrist recommend for me to see a chiropractor to get an epley maneuver. I had it done on Wednesday, the next day my vision came back! I saw a bunch of bone cracking ASMR videos on YouTube and really wanted to try it out. I don't have any back problems or any health issues, but if you are a student, officer worker, athlete, an adjustment can really help your posture and reduce any stress and strain in your body. It can also be preventative for future issues as well. I called office to schedule an appointment and the receptionist was very friendly. When I went in, he put a heat blanket on my back to loosen my back before he worked on it. He also put electrode pads to loosen up the area on my upper back. 10-15 minutes later, he came back into start working on my upper back and neck. He noticed my leg length was uneven starting the session and by the end, my leg length was nearly equal. My favorite part was when he cracked my neck. I spend my whole day staring at my phone and down at a computer screen. While I never had problems with my neck, after he adjusted it, I think I now feel how my neck is supposed to feel if that makes sense? The Thoracic Spine adjustment also felt very pleasing as well. I highly recommend every, especially students to stop by Dr. Hurtado's office to get adjusted - even if you don't have problems. Stop by during finals week to destress for about 40 minutes. I look for whatever I need based on proximity and reviews. I found this chiropractor nearby and with five 5-star reviews, figured I'd give it a try. This is my first time seeing a chiropractor regularly and I really enjoy it. (Also, I just really love cracking my body & even more so when someone else does it for me lol). The visits are short but the results are lasting. I like that you don't have to set an appointment. Just walk in when you have time and you're seen very quickly. My lower back had been hurting from my exercising and Mr. Hurtado fixed that pain. Dr. Hurtado is the BEST chiropractor I have ever experienced. I hurt my back while on Air Force duty here at March ARB in 2017 and he treated my back. I was in so much pain, and he gently adjusted my back, and treated me with e-stimulation TENS unit. I went back again and walked out of there feeling fabulous! I came to Dr. Hurtado the day after I had bad muscle spasms in my neck and a migraine headache. After taking down pain history... He applied muscle stim and heat for about 5-10 min... he then pressed on my back to realign/crack and then massaged my neck out to find the point that was in pain and readjusted my neck. Found out I had 2 vertebras out of place on the left side of my neck. It is now 2 days after my painful migraine, I still have a slight headache but almost no pain in my neck! The process was quick and easy and was $40 flat for my first visit. I highly recommend Dr. Hurtado if you have back/neck pain and bad headaches! Dr. Hurtado was able to get me in within the hour because i woke up in extreme pain in my lower back. Place was clen and the receptionist was so friendly. She helped me into a room and got me set up with heating pad and muscle stimulation machine. As soon as the machine was done Dr. Hurtado came in and did the adjustments, I was able to feel the relief immediately. He took the time to explain what he had done and what had caused my problem and showed what he did to fix it. It was nice to have him take the time to explain everything. Very awesome chiropractor. I looked up chiropractors on Yelp and found him, only 4 reviews..but all 5 star, so I decided to give him a try.. I had called him yesterday asking if I could come in, it was too close to closing time so he said he would be in on Sunday(his day off) for an hour or so and could get me in if I was willing to come at that time..I said yes, and he asked me what my chief complaint was and I told him I was suffering from vertigo..he then continued to ask if I have seen my primary care provider recently and said I might have an ear infection or fluid in my ears.. I said I don't have an ear infection and he said to try looking up the epley maneuver on youtube before I come in the next day and see if maybe that helps.. I looked it up, tried it..and thankfully it completely cured it!!! I was able to continue on with my day without dizziness or nausea, it completely resolved my vertigo. I still went to my appointment due to neck and shoulder pain and he is one of the best I have been to.. I've been to 4 chiropractors, including Dr. Hurtado. He really pinpoints where your pain is rather than just adjusting everything. He takes his time to ask you questions and assess your problems rather than just generalize your pain. He has good bed side manner, makes you feel really comfortable talking with him. He applied heat and muscle stim..and also told me what other chiropractors hadn't.. which was what was causing my neck and shoulder issues! He told me I have a loss of curvature in my spine and told me a way to re-train my spine/combat that issue. I'm so, so grateful that he did that because I'm sick of feeling like this so often! I'm very happy to have Dr. Hurtado as my chiropractor. I'm an active dog walker, soccer player and bicycle rider and these activities occasionally result in an "episode" of sudden and severe lower back pain. I've been visiting Dr Hurtado for around 6 years. Two or three weeks, and four or five visits, have me up and running again. Last year, Kaiser sent me to a different chiropractor and the results just weren't the same. The difference, in my opinion, is experience. There's no substitute for experience, and Dr. Hurtado has been doing this for a while now. A visit to his office is a relaxed affair and he takes time to understand your injury/pain before deciding on a course of treatment. In my case, that treatment isn't just an adjustment, but also includes stimulating the spinal column and massaging the surrounding muscles. I'll take this over the muscle relaxant/painkiller alternative that my medical doctor has to offer! Price of treatment is also excellent and now it's covered by my Kaiser benefits too. read more
