I've had the most terrible care at this place. There was never any follow through. There was one time I had an uti was writhing in pain and they didn't get back on my urine culture result until a month later when it went away on its own. Always an hours long wait even with an appointment. I've had different pcps since then and this place is just so shockingly horrible in comparison. Calling to make an appointment is extremely difficult . It takes multiple tries even when calling during their office hours as it constantly goes to an automated system. Been waiting for over 45 min (with an appointment). This has happened for all my visits. Came in an hour earlier thinking it would make a difference... it did NOT! It just adds on to the 45 min wait! She is always late to my morning appointments, which is probably why it's so backed up here. In addition, the waiting area is always extremely stuffy and smelly. When I do get to see her, she rushes me through the appointment. Overall would not recommend! read more

Dr Hussain is very thorough with her medical assessments and is an excellent care provider. Would highly recommend.

She does not work in a timely manner because she is the only doctor there. Her staff is very disorganized. The clerk in the front desk will let other patients inn to see Dr. Rizwana even though another patient is scheduled before them and other walk in patients who are not scheduled for an appointment. This place is RIDICULOUS. We haven't seen Dr. Hussain yet but the receptionists were rude and condescending to my mother, who is Asian but speaks perfectly fine English. Our usual doctor was Dr. Kim but due to distance, we decided on trying a new doctor that was closer to us. We found Dr. Hussain as one of the doctors closer to our area through Medi-Cal. I called the office in at 2:30 but was answered by the answering machine that told us that they were at lunch from 2-4 instead, so I called in two hours later for a possible walk-in, but they told us that they were completely booked. That's perfectly understandable - so we scheduled an appointment on 230 the following day. We called in the next day at 130 to try to confirm our appointment. No answer. We figured that maybe they were too busy, but that they hadn't called us to cancel so it was probably fine. My mother and I came in the hour later for our appointment but was met with an immediate 'Can we schedule this appointment for next time, Dr. Hussain isn't in right now' by a rude receptionist. She didn't even greet us or give us a sorry for the inconvenience but instead looked annoyed when we asked her what the reason was. We also asked why there was no one to pick up our calls earlier on the day. She crossed her arms, rolled her eyes, raised her poorly plucked eyebrows, gave us major attitude and told us that they were at lunch and that the doc was stuck in traffic and that she couldn't do anything about it. She told us to go to urgent care in West Covina because it was 'better than the 10-12 hour wait in an ER.' We were shocked, weren't they at lunch from 2-4 yesterday? And why was she acting like we were pests by asking REASONABLE questions? Horrible. The lady working next to her wasn't any better, she gave us attitude as well when we asked if the Dr. Hussain was going to be in at all, as my mother was feeling particularly sick that day. Also, why would a doctor not come in at ALL if they were only stuck in traffic? What if a patient had called in for a sick day at work to only be told to reschedule? I understand that your time is important, but it makes it seem like you don't care about your patients' time at all. I don't know if Dr. Hussain is a good doctor or not, but if he is, he might want to replace the people at the front desk if he wants to keep or gain anymore of her customers. Lol. read more

I really like Dr. Rizwana. I agree that the staff is super disorganized with lack of training and do not take care of the referrals. You have to constantly nag them. Cant get through on the phone most of the time. The Dr. is super sweet and takes time with you. I can trust her opinion. I have never once felt like she was lying or wanted to do tests I didnt need just to get my insurance money. Honesty is number 1. I only changed dr. because she didnt accept the other medical group that has specialists here locally. I had to drive super far and most of the specialists were other East Indian dr.'s like her, that treated me poorly. It finally got to be more stress than it was worth, I really do miss her. The only thing I didnt like was the constant nagging to do breast exams and pap smears. I would run back if she would accept the other med group and work with the locals. When I asked her to please consider it, she told me it was really bad politics involved and she apologized. I hope someday she can get that straightened out and train the office staff better so I can come back : ) Some days you get right in and hardly anyone ehtere and some days the wait is over an hour. They will squeeze you in if its really bad. She woulnt turn you away. read more

Absolutely horrible! I had an appt at 10:45 I was there until 12:30 trying to justify the wait. I had enough and told them I had no more time to wait just ended up leaving. Doctor Hussein is good doctor , and her staff are okay, But my only complain is she's always LATE!

I came in with an appointment at 4:15ish. I waited for nearly two hours for her to only take my blood pressure and rudely ask what I was in for. I told her that I already called to say I needed specific vaccinations. She then told me she doesn't have it and that they need to order it or I can go elsewhere to get them done. I was out of the clinic in 5 minutes. I literally wasted two hours for her to say I can't even do the vaccines.... read more

This is the WORST MD office. Elaine Hays the office manager lies and doesn't return phone calls. They take over a month to fill out paperwork pertaining to FMLA and multiple deadlines were missed in my personal experience...also waited over 45 mind w/ appt. The whole in office staff is inept!! In a world of automation, I find myself to be lucky to have Dr. Hussein as my primary doctor. Her knowledge in the field of medicine is unparalleled. She has the caring touch which is often lacking with most doctors. One thing that distinguishes Dr. Hussein from many others is her attention to details and her desire to want to listen to her patients. She's never in a hurry to want to diagnose you upon meeting you. She is deliberate in her assessment of your concerns and methodically engages you to want to understand more about you. I have known Dr. Hussein for a little over a year and on almost every concern she has been able to diagnose whatever ails me. With diligence, she recently guided me to see a specialist for my early stage of prostate cancer. With her gentle hands, I gained the courage to consult with a specialist and as a result under went a prostate cancer surgery a little over two weeks ago. Her persistence and genuine caring nature has benefited me immensely in my cure for the cancer. I continue to see Dr. Hussein for a host of other medical issues and I have grown more confident in handling any medical issues because of her medical expertise. My family and I couldn't be happier for choosing her as our family doctor and will continue to see her for as long we live in California. Dr. Rizwana is not punctual and is disorganized. The waiting time to see her is too long. Recently, I was scheduled as the first patient, and I was only there that day to get a TB reading. That only takes 5 mins to do. I arrived at 10:15 am and did not see her until 11:20 am. Also, she did not inform her staff that she placed referrals in my file for them to submit. I informed her about her punctuality and how her staff was unaware that I had referrals in my file, and her response was not polite nor empathetic. read more

I have been under the care of Dr. Rizwana Hussain for the past 25 years and also my three sons since they've turned 18 years old. My sons now are all adults and they continue and feel comfortable to still seek Dr. Hussain for her professional treatment and care when they are sick. Dr. Hussain have given me and my family a very professional, and respectful care. Anytime we need an immediate care and attention, her office had been very accommodating and able to give us an appointment without any problem. I am a registered nurse and I should be able to make a professional judgement of Dr. Husain professional knowledge and efficiency in her professional care of me and my family. Referrals such as Orthopedic,Cardiology,Ophthalmology, and OB GYN consultations were always timely obtained when I needed to see these specialists. There was an instant when during the middle of the night, my blood pressure was so high that I called her and left a message on her answering service. She called me within 10 minutes and gave me medication instruction to increase my B/P doses. My blood pressure stabilized after following her treatment instruction. I was able to make an appointment the next day and I saw her that afternoon for follow-up. I saw this doctor twice and twice was enough. She is one rude doctor. Speaks to you like a child . She did not let me complete a sentence when she's was interrupting me with the next question in a non polite way. she is one scary doctor I feel bad for her employees. very rude very unprofessional. I was in her office twice and those two times she's raising her voice . she needs to learn how to speak in a professional way . The way she talks to her patients and employees make the office look very unprofessional . Dr yelling from inside the room giving orders to her employees made me very anxious.
