Seriously amazing pizza! Yummy and highly recommended. We had the Hot Honey, Portobello Mushroom, and the Kale and fennel pizzas. For an appetizer we had the Brussel sprouts which were delicious. FYI, the ease of ordering was nice. You use the barcode on the table, order from your phone and the service is spot on. Very nice!!! Great food if in the area.

This is a seat yourself and order via the QR code spot. Drinks and food came out fast. If you order a fountain drink or want water you just go up and grab that yourself. The Brussels sprouts and pizza Bianca were great. We had both of those between 2 people and had 1 slice leftover. We enjoyed looking at all the photographs on the walls and trying to figure out who all the celebrities are were! It was a Sunday evening so we were able to find some free street parking a few blocks away, but parking has become harder in that area with all the new things.

Fun pizza spot our friends discovered on recently moving to Durham! Cocktails were excellent, and pizzas were delicious! We got fried eggplant, grandmas (thicker crust), margarita, and pepperoni. Huge outdoor patio area, easy QR code ordering, and really quick service! The perfect neighborhood hangout!

What I recommend: The spicy vodka pizza or the brisket pizza Hutchins Garage is one of my favorite pizza spots in Durham. They serve up some of the most unique and creative pizzas in town, and the flavors never miss. The spicy vodka pizza and brisket pizza are both incredible and easily two of the best things on the menu. The beer is always cold, the prices are very reasonable, and the staff is some of the friendliest you'll meet. This is the kind of place you go when you want something a little different that still feels familiar. The pizzas are wacky in the best way and will absolutely blow your taste buds away. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it perfect for any night out. Always a 10 out of 10 for me.

Really not sure HOW this pizza place has such high ratings on Yelp- huge letdown for me. Ordered the spicy vodka pizza (with bacon instead of ham), and thought the entire pizza was a mess. Dripping in grease, with a pie crust SO thin you couldn't hold a slice without folding it in half. The dough was so thin it was actually see-through. Definitely would not return back, threw out 75% of the pizza. Wanted to like the place more than I did because they have a really cool outdoor area (and they're close to my apartment). $50 is too much for 2 pizzas that aren't incredible.

A first for us scan the QR code and order, but we had a very helpful young lady show us the ropes . They bring your food and adult beverages they have a good selection of beers and cocktails while you can help yourself to the unleaded station . We choose the: Broiled Pimento Cheese a must so tasty ! Portabello & Shiitake he added sausage Pizza Bianca With House Burrata not a thing needed changed . Both of these were atop a great crust , flavors were well balanced and the ingredients fresh. This is a casual spot that has seat yourself indoor and outdoor options . We will definitely visit again when in the area .

Had another great lunch at Hutchins! I will always order the brisket pizza because it's so delicious. Casual ambiance with GREAT music playing (all 80s). It's an order from a QR code place now so you don't interact with the staff much at all. Great lunch!

This is a great place to grab a beer or a cocktail before heading to a show at Motorco!! Park once and head to dinner followed by a concert. They always have an interesting mix of beers on draft and if that's not for you they have a full bar and an interesting list of cocktails to choose from. Their pizza is always bomb! Get the Grandma's pizza and top it however you like! We always sit at the bar and get the best service!

Pizza served out a garage with both indoor and outdoor seating. It was also pretty packed so I'm glad we ordered our pies online and picked up. It took around 22 minutes to be ready. They have a bar too to sip while you wait. You do have to find parking on the street which may be hard around that area with all the bars but the walk isn't too bad. Sadly the grandma pie wasn't available and that's what we really came for. Instead we got a the vodka pie, hot honey pie, and margherita with half sausage and pepperoni. The vodka pie is not vodka at all. It tasted like there was no vodka sauce on it. Just more of a spicy cheese pizza because the peppers on it definitely had some heat to it. I also said no ham and sausage when ordering because it comes on that pie. If you can't take spicy food you might want to remove the fresno chilli. It was good but wish it had more vodka sauce. My boyfriend loved the hot honey pie and said it was great. He modified it as well and took off the ham but kept the pepperoni. He enjoyed it thoroughly. Unfortunately, they made the margherita half sausage and half pepperoni, instead of half sausage and pepperoni and half cheese like we asked so I wasn't able to eat it. My boyfriend wasn't a fan of this pie though. I would come back to try the brisket and hopefully have the grandma pie!

This spot was such a fun, good vibe with bistro lights (sucker for the lights!). We sat on the picnic table outside which fit a family of 7 perfectly. I love the inventive take on pizzas with cool toppings like fried chicken and brisket. I wish the fried chicken was crispier, but overall a solid slice of pizza. We ordered the Pilsner which was the perfect refreshing sip with the pizza. As my 8 year old niece, Bella says: Good food!Good employees!good vibes!good everything! Bathroom pretty!

Came in without a reservation on a Saturday night and was promptly seated. Pizza was pretty good and came out quickly! Very small parking lot so may have to walk a little.

Ordered a pepperoni pizza for takeout - delicious crispy thin crust that worked well with the sauce and toppings. Loved the fresh basil. Service was excellent and pizza was as ready a few minutes before promised! Would definitely recommend and next time I'll try one of their unique flavors.

Hubby and I were visiting his brother and our sister in law in Durham. On a Saturday night, we were all craving pizza. We decided to check out Hutchins Garage. Yelp reviews and photos looked strong but it was even better than we expected! Ordering was easy using a QR code on the table. Our food and drinks came out very fast. We ordered a grandma's pie with sausage and a classic pepperoni. The grandma's pie was thinner than expected, good amount of crust without being bready. The sausage was so fresh and flavorful. The large slices of fresh mozzarella were delicious! The crust on the classic pepperoni was so thin and crispy without being crunchy and cracker like. The sauce was tangy and delicious. The cheese was absolute perfection. Good amount of pepperoni slices and tasty fresh basil. Both pizzas were phenomenal! I foresee us stopping in next time we're in Durham.

Are dogs allowed in the outdoor seating (or inside)?

Dogs are allowed outdoors, but definitely not indoors. I was holding a puppy by the door and asked to leave per health code.

I really enjoy Detroit style pizza and it's not something you see a lot of around NC so that's nice. They also have a very good Gluten Free option which is nearly the same as the traditional crust - and if you ask they can mock up the cheesy sticks using the GF crust as well. The service is always super friendly at any location I've been to. As I mentioned, it's pretty pricey for pizza but it's also something you can't quite get around here otherwise and it's a nice place to go for something like date night.

Sweet with a little bit of tang and you can definitely taste the seasoning. The crust has the right thickness the right crunch and the right give. The crust could stand to have a little more flavor but overall it was a solid crust. My issue with the food was for $25 on a 8x10 pizza, there should be enough cheese in the mix to cover more than 60% of the pizza. They have a "signature cheese blend" but then 40% of the pizza doesn't get any of it. A bit disappointing. Which gives the value a 2/5 at best. In addition to these two factors I was asked my name for the order when I arrived. The young lady walked off and then I spotted her on her phone in the corner, followed by folding pizza boxes in a different corner. Eventually a gentleman approached with the same question. Wouldn't you know it, my order was sitting right there next to the host stand. Not impressive. The ambiance is a bit pretentious for a place serving pizza which I found to be pretty greasy. The ambiance definitely matches the price so I guess that's what they are going for. The only lot for parking is paid but I suppose that may be the norm for "downtown" Durham. The flavor again was very good, but the value and the competency of the staff are a miss. As a frequent traveler I think I'd explore the other options next time rather than return.
