I was seen by Dr. Judy Chen, who did a good job assessing my retina issues, as far as I can tell. For that I'm most grateful and this is not a negative review of her. The staff at West Coast Retina have treated me the worst way possible when it comes to my records. First, they insisted I could easily access all my records (both images and doctors' notes) through their portal shortly after my visit. That turned out to be completely false - and nobody had the slightest issue with the fact that I had been lied to. Second, they told me the doctor's notes (which do not include images) would be in the portal by the end of last week. When they didn't arrive, a few days ago I again followed up. They said they'd get them soon, like maybe that same day. They would call me. They didn't. Third, for the images they said they'd have to mail them and charge me $30, so I paid that amount. When the images arrived, they did not include the ultrasound image, even though I specifically asked for that image and they specifically said they would send it. Fourth, when I last called to follow up again, they told me I could keep on contacting them. When I asked why they said that (because all I need is my records) they simply said "Ok, you'll get your records." Well, West Coast Retina, here I am AGAIN asking you for my records. I have serious issues with my retina and need expert medical help. I do not need a new medical records problem when other places easily get me this information very quickly with no problems. In the digital age, not only is there no reason for this, this is a deliberate effort to create a problem for me. AGAIN, please promptly send me the records and I will most certainly update this review if/when this issue gets fully resolved.

He is personable, patient, knowledgeable-I love that he personally called me back, gave eye contact and a genuine smile when introducing himself. Bay Retina Center has been treating me for the past six months. I had to go for a follow up check up today. Wow I was super impressed. They are taking utmost precautions and following very strict protocols for their patients' safety. There is very very very limited close contact. The outside doors are propped open, and there was no one in the waiting room. Every employee/doctor is careful. You are required to wear a mask in order to be admitted. They take your temperature upon arrival and limit talking . Dr. Lee only talks when he's 6 feet apart from the patient. They constantly sanitize the examination rooms and are being ultra cautious. I haven't felt that safe in a long time. If you are a patient here do not delay seeing them for important follow ups. You will be well taken care of in super sanitized surroundings!

Dr. Alexander Dillon has been treating me for the past several months and the improvements, especially to my night vision are remarkable. I used to not drive at night over the years because it was harder and harder to see. He has brought my eyes close to 20/20 and improved my night vision substantially. I was out and very hesitant last night riving home, but my vision has improved so much its a pleasure. I can see through the gloom.

I have been wearing glasses since the third grade and I am extremely near-sighted. One of my biggest fears is losing my sight. Dr. Lim made me feel extremely confident about getting the surgery. She explained the surgery in detail and she offered excellent advice about the right type of cataract lenses for me. The surgery itself was extremely quick and painless. I felt like I was at a Laserium show at a planetarium and not in an operating room. There are a number of follow-up appointments scheduled for the day and week after surgery. Both Dr. Chan and Dr. Zhang were caring, knowledgeable, and friendly at these follow-up appointments. The Walnut Creek office staff is also wonderful, friendly, and efficient. Being the nervous Nelly that I am, I did call them more than a few times with my worries. I am now seeing 20/15 out of my distance eye. I can read 4 point type out of my reading eye. I feel I should be on a lecture tour, wearing a Super Hero cape to match my new bionic eyes, touting the wonders of cataract surgery with Dr. Lim. The only regret I have is enduring blurry and dimming vision for a year because I put off my cataract surgery because I was so scared. If you need cataract surgery, make an appointment with Dr. Mira Lim!!! You will be so happy you did. It was the BEST DECISION I have ever made in my life.

Dr.Tsai is my mother-in-law's eye doctor for almost 6 years. She had another eye doctor before we…read moretransferred here as it's too far and she can't understand English. Dr. Tsai is bilingual and the staff are always helpful. If I and my husband were too busy to drop her off, the office even helped with a ride for the visit. In the past six years,Dr. Tsai gave her routine eye exam on time and cataract and glaucoma surgeries. He did great work! Dr. Tsai is very professional and patient to the senior, my mother-in-law is 90 years this year. She once had a blurred eye and felt very upset. We called the office, and Dr. Tsai arranged the appointment for the quick eye exam in an eye center close to our home before we checked with him the next day. My mother-in-law loves Ipad and can't stop screen time less than 6 hours every day. Luckily, we have Dr. Tsao takes care of her very well, recommends the right eye vitamin and keeps tracking her visit every 3 months. Highly recommended! Note: You need to be a little bit earlier for your visit, as least not late, there are always so many patients in the lobby. It is a very busy office, but the staff are very nice.

Dr. Prasad has kept all of these in outstanding condition for over a decade. He is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic technology and, more importantly, he is incredibly thorough and genuinely caring. I never feel rushed during my visits -- he always takes the time to listen and provide thoughtful care, never treating me like just another patient. Not sure how to word this appropriately. The office is clean and the staff is efficient. However,…read moremy last appt. with Dr. Prasad was "interesting". I commented to Dr. P that I had to wait 2 hours. At this, Dr. P, not only got defensive, but I felt, personally insulted. I did not make an untrue statement. He was 2 hours late. I did have my eyes dilated, but had waited prior to this and after until I was seen. At this, he told me I was"Mean". I wasn't mean, I was honest as I pointed out, but he couldn't let it go. I apologized again as I realized he was taking this so personally, even telling me he has told his children not to become doctors due to people like me. Weird. At this, I apologized again for my statement of saying he was late and he went off on a tangent of "having done good surgery on me", yes he did. Cataract surgery. However this had nothing to do with being late. He said I couldn't say something like this and expect an apology was acceptable. He looked at my chart and said I had been coming to him since 2021. He could not drop this. He is a good doctor, however has run late consistently. I will be changing opthomologist as It was if I was at that point speaking to a spoiled child, not a professional doctor.
