I called the Brentwood location and a lady answered and said this location was closed but the yelp still says open they have the Alameda location open now. The weird thing is that I made an appt 3 months ago and no one told me they were going to close. They were trying to schedule me with someone else in Alameda but I will not go with anyone else but Lisa. Very disappointed with how this closure was handled. I am going to update this review as Dr Rex Barrett reached out to me as he told his staff to reach out to let us know the location was closing unfortunately I never received a call from the staff which is disappointing and the blame of the staff for not doing their job. The fact that Dr Barrett reached out with explanation shows a lot of dignity and respect so I'm updating this review as I was so happy while this location in Brentwood was open. Doctor Rex Moulton Barrett and the medical staff here took really good care of me. I had a skin growth on my face that was worrying and I did not want to wait; since it is Christmas Eve all other medical offices would not take anyone in, but doctor fit me into his busy schedule and quickly saw me. I was assured that the growth did not appear malignant, but getting a biopsy was the way to go to make sure. His experience was apparent, the attention to detail was on point, plus Jessica & Elva were there with me every step of the way making me feel at home. I can't say enough good things about this office and Dr.Moulton Barrett. I had a tummy tuck, upper abdominal repair, and breast reduction . My husband drove me to San Leandro Surgery center, the nurse drove me home and stayed with me for the first 24 hours. What a blessing! She showed my husband and friends how to do my wound care, drains and medications. I'm currently 10 weeks post op and incredibly happy with my results. My only wish was I had done it sooner. A year ago I had a mini facelift and I can tell you my results are amazing, recently I was in the market to get a breast augmentation and a breast lift and of course, the first doctor I called Rex. Every time I am seen in this office I am treated like royalty! Dr. Barrett is amazingly gentle and talks in a language I can understand, what really impressed me is the LVN, Alma. She was so very patient, loving and kind. My blood pressure was slightly elevated at my visits and she always calmed me down. Botox time! My favorite nurse Lisa Derita has been working on my face for 8 years. I trust her! Take one good luck at her face and you'll know why! You can't tell how old she is or if she's had any work done! So many times I walk into Dr offices and see faces that don't move or plumped full of fillers! I don't want to look like that! I usually just get my forehead and in between my eyes done. This time I decided to let her be the judge. I told her I wanted to look like my Facetune picture app but she said that wasn't going to happen! She decided to do very little on the side of my eyes to fill in the wrinkles when I smile. I've noticed lines above my lips. I use straws when I drink coffee! I showed those to her and her reply, "Jennifer, baby steps." I guess that means I'm going to be seeing her often. Let's talk about pain. I always jerk when the needle goes in and it stings a little but nothing like above your lip!! OUCH! She only did one line! I can tell this will be a long summer! I have to go back in 4 weeks for a little more. Enough about me! If you have never gotten Botox before I definitely suggest you see Lisa. If you have gotten Botox and it turned out horribly I definitely suggest you go see Lisa. Just make the call! read more

Dislike having to write a negative review but had such a horrible experience with the care received at this office for TMJ. The treatment I received ended up making things much worse to the point where my jaw now clicks, pops and crunches when eating and even afterwards. I didn't have this issue before and now it has become such an ordeal to live on a day to day basis as it causes so much pain and discomfort. I was told to take Aleve and get a splint (which costs too much at this time and cannot afford it). How does any of this help in any way! Whole heartedly wish I never found this office or walked through those doors because I have no idea how I'm going to remedy this and go back to normal. The issue I had before was nothing to what I'm dealing with now after receiving such negligent care. I hope I can find another doctor that takes my insurance and can correct this as soon as possible! On another note I spoke to various specialists and they were floored on the care I received for this issue. They were baffled on why this doctor didn't order an MRI first prior to any interventions. On top of that they said my TMJ isn't severe enough for injections and a splint would likely suffice. Even if I needed the injections the other doctor said it didn't make sense to have injections only on one side (typically done on both sides). Such a shame I had to go through this and hope no one else will have to! read more

If you get some items from the office, make sure you check the exp date before you leave, because they will provide you the short exp date items. I order a face cream and check the exp date at night , well, exp date: 12/10/2021 not even 2 months left, and I still have left over cream. So I contact the office they told me "even if it is expired you can still use it also once you got it, you can't return or exchange. " So I call the pharmacy they told me once it pass the exp date it still can work but won't work *that well.* I don't have any problem with physician assistant who work there. they are incredible. specially the assistant who help me do Botox that day , she was kind and knowledgably. read more

If I could give more stars I would. In 2018 I got a tummy tuck muscle repair and LIPo in two years later my stomach still looks amazing. This year I recently did lipo to my chin because I had a double chin and I am one week postop and you can already tell the difference i'm so excited to see the final results in about 4 to 5 more weeks but I'm pretty sure I will love them. Dr Moulten Barrett did my panniculectomy on the 22nd of October. I joined a lot of Facebook groups and read a lot of stories from people who had the same surgery. Especially after reading what so many people have experienced, I really feel blessed for my experience! I feel that he did such an amazing job and did absolutely everything to make this whole process as smooth as possible. I went in to a consultation and the two girls were extremely rude that helped me. They handed me a stack of papers asking for social security number and so forth. At the end of this paper it asks me to sign if I have discussed everything with the doctor and understand. I told her I cannot sign yet due to I haven't even been in to see anyone. She rudely looks at me and says " do you need to discuss this with someone" ummm yes, that's why I am here. Very rude and unprofessional. I walked out they definitely lost my business. read more

I would give you zero stars if it were an option! Coming from a background of medical practice do's and don'ts this place is on my dont list. I saw an ad in the grapevine for some products I wanted to try out. Called a d had to try 5 times before someone finally answered. I got the answering service 3x during regular business hours and they didnt know why the phone was forwarded? Anyways after finally getting through on the third day I got an appointment with a nurse, Lisa. I felt confident that she would be great as all the reviews rave about her. Wrong. They ran 40 min late and no one bothered to tell me. I then could hear the front staff gossiping about other clients. Their office is outdated and the waiting room is covered in dust. I ended up leaving and no one cared. Honestly these rave reviews must be from her friends or patients who were badgered for positive reviews. From my car, I called to let them know I walked out and the receptionist said I wasnt on the schedule? Yet I was checked in and did new patient paperwork?? Train your staff and stop getting fake/biased reviews posted. If anyone suggests a real medispa please message me. No doctor on site either, was in surgery in another city? I had a Neck-lift and an upper lid Blepharoplasty done under local anesthesia by Dr. Moulton Barrett. My surgery went extremely well and without pain. I honestly feel that I would not have done it under general anesthesia, since there are more complications related to being intubated and deeply sedated. My recovery was also quick and I was back to work in 2.5 weeks. I am now 2 months post- op and healing well. I am so happy with my results and now I have a more youthful neck a heart shaped face without having jowls and a sagging lower face. My eyes look refreshed and people definitely give me compliments but can't tell I had plastic surgery. Dr. Moulton Barrett is a professional, kind and friendly surgeon who listened to my concerns and explained the procedure and what to expect pre and post op. I would give a negative number of stars if possible. I went in for a consultation they had me fill out a pamphlet asking my social security number, personal information ect. Then they wanted me to sign saying I receive medical advice and understand the risk.... I advised the two staff members up front both brunette young girls that I can't sign until I actually have my consultation and they said with attitudes they had the entire time I showed up there. "do I really need it"?!?!? I couldn't believe it. This place is so unprofessional and want you to sign before explaining the procedure and the pros and cons. I had two procedures at once -- otoplasty and a genioplasty. It was a big deal, but I chose Dr. Barrett after meeting him as he came across as direct, very competent/intelligent, and he listened well. His knowledge and communication style made me comfortable enough to go through with the surgery which is a really big deal (can't emphasize enough!). His prices seem really fair too. I'm not sure whether to do five or four stars because I don't have a reference for the experience, though I did consult other doctors before deciding to go with him. I initially went to this office for a blethroplasty because my eyelids were so heavy they interfered with my vision. Dr. Moulton-Barrett provided that surgery and I had a complication- one eyelid became very irritated and swollen maybe 4-5 days post op. He did not see me in his office for this, rather gave instructions for placing ice packs on the swelling. He removed the sutures approximately a week after surgery and while the procedure was a success for lightening my eyelids, the incision line where the swelling took place healed unevenly on my eyelid and the resultant scarring is not appreciated. Perhaps if he took the time to see me in his office, and maybe remove one stitch to reduce the swelling I might not have the uneven scarring. But this brings another point of consideration- he is in this office only one day a week- Wednesdays. Between his less than congenial mannerism, one day a week office time -you have to accommodate his schedule rather than having any options to match your schedule, and higher fees for services than another plastic surgeon locally, I would rate him a one out of five stars. The only reason I am going with 3 stars is his staff- his nurses and receptionist are lovely ladies, they go out of their way to accommodate your needs, they provide excellent esthetician services which I have participated in over the years, and if there was a separate rating for just them- they would get five out of five stars. Hence the 1/5 stars for the MD and the 5/5 stars for the staff averages out to a 3/5 for RMB. read more

Hadn't realized that people in our area get plastic surgery too so when I saw their ad in a local publication I thought to myself it wouldn't hurt to check them out. No, I wasn't going in for a boob job but wanted to see what they'd charge for a tummy tuck and maybe some lipo since I've been struggling with this damn weight rollercoaster almost all of my life. I arrive at the office and ask my questions. Pretty impressed with the whole process and the staff I ask to see their clauses and paperwork related to those procedures. SLAM THE BREAKS!!! After reading over everything, my inner poultry kicked in and I decided I should just love myself for who I am not how I look. I was new to the area and needed to see someone who can help with my skins overall apperence. I located this office by using google. They every so often have special events on saturdays and give you 15% services and I thought this would be the perfect time to get in there and meet the nurses if the Doctor wasnt available. I saw Paula and she is great! Great sense of humor and easy to talk to. I only gave them 4 starts because when I scheduled my appt the girl said I had 40 min of time to myself... well that wasnt true. I was seen on time but was there for 3 hours because Paula was over booked. She would come in and out of the room because she was so busy. She was very polite about it but I wish I had her to myself, maybe I wouldnt have been there so long. read more

Billing Rant recently I checked my Experian credit score I was surprised to see the doctor Moulton's medical office had a charge for unpaid balance for services rendered $189. I telephoned the office to see what it was about saved formed me that back in 2017 that I came in it was only charged for 4 units of Botox and and that I had received eight so they stated that they couldn't get ahold of me so they added it to my credit report. My phone number has never changed and neither has my mailing address I actually don't even believe this is a legitimate charge read more
