This market is small, but it has a quaint feel to it. I was having gelato and sorbetto and sat down, so I wasn't ready for lunch. However, there was Mike's BBQ next to me. The smell of burgers and sausage being grilled made me so happy. I will need to come back just for a yummy burger. I walked some more and saw some fresh produce. The beets and carrots looked good. Everything was organic. There was another vendor that sold baked goods. I nearly lost my mind. The cheese biscuits looked delicious. Every stand made me so happy. I need to return. I was there just before 2 pm, when this market closes. One stand was packing up. I will come back next time and visit this market earlier in the day. Mind you, this one is set up in the middle of the parking lot and made up of lots of fruits and veg stands. There are the odd soap stand and a bakery stand...or even a sausage stand. But it's just not enough to make this a regular Tuesday shopping destination due to lack of variety. It was a good idea that needed more support from the local farmers. I have purchased my occasional baked goods and vegetables but they were all just ok. Remember, just because the produce is local and bought straight from the farms doesn't necessarily mean it's better. I've often wondered the value of buying local vs buying imported organic produce but that's a discussion for another time, I guess. This market just needs more vendors and a different setting.
