I loved their cinnamon rolls in the self help case, due to COVID I've only seen them a couple times out with the other bakery items. What is with the drizzle of white frosting, eeew. Ate here tonight for the first and last time. Had the ribeye that was ordered med. It came med rare and baked potato was very small and wasn't quite done. I ordered it loaded. 3 bacon bits and no more sour cream and butter to satisfy anyone. Ordered more butter and sour cream. Never came! My waitress was also bar tending and had friends at the end of the bar that had her attention the entire time I was there. Glass was empty 3 times and it took longer to get the check than it did to get my food. Had to wait 15 mins to be seated when there were at least 7 empty tables. I will not be going back ever! Oh yea, wasn't a good steak either and they charge 25 dollars for it! Had to give them 1 star just to post otherwise they wouldn't have gotten one from me. read more

The jalapeño bacon maple wontons are so good that I can't rank it any less. The service though is beyond subpar. The hostess looked miserable, the bartender was busy chatting with the manager seated at the bar (super tacky) while we were waiting for our drinks from the bar. Our appetizer was delivered without any side plates and we were questioned whether we even needed them. Water was brought to the table upon 2nd request, salad came out lacking a requested dressing. Overall the food is decent but the front of the house is totally lacking in good service practices. Nobody wants to hear the manager chatting about working 10 hours as she scrolls through her phone whilst sitting at the bar. The bartender/server didn't apply the "special" which is a free appetizer with $20 purchase to the bill then passed the blame to someone else. There is a restroom in the back of the restaurant and it's awkward watching the line of deli employees and shoppers pass by on their way to the shitter. The whole atmosphere was unprofessional. This Hy-Vee created and supplied the flowers for our wedding several years ago. Did a great job then. In fact, my wife's absolute favorite flower arrangement to this day is her bouquet. When I asked them to recreate it, the declined because it's too close to Valentine's Day. They're only taking orders advertised I in their catalog. Had lunch with my beautiful wife today at the Market Grill and had a very pleasant experience. Food was great, however our server forgot my wife's Bloody Mary. The drink arrived after the food and unfortunately it was not a good Bloody Mary, very bland. Timing was a bit off with our app but since it was delicious we let it slide. Overall, I believe some training is needed on "how" to give great service. Fix that aspect and it would be a great experience instead of a mediocre one. read more

Over the past year customer service has dropped to an all time new low. I guess the new has worn off. Employees are not service oriented and don't care about the customer. Examples: Two days ago I am driving by the front entrance and an employee who was heading out to get carts or do whatever in the lot walked out, and spit a huge spit wad right next to my car. I looked at the employee and he just gave me a look of "whatever." Go into the store to get a salad, it's 6pm - peak dinner time. The salad bar is empty, dirty, not cared for at all. I ask two different employees if someone is going to come out and do something about the salad bar and restock. Both employees would not answer me. I went to the so called customer service desk and was ignored and when asked what I wanted I told the clerk and she said someone would be out. I waited, and waited..... Finally, the employee responsible for the salad bar showed up. She asked if I needed something and told her I would like to get a salad but there are no containers and the bar is in horrible condition. She didn't' respond to me at all. Turned and slowly started to take care of the salad bar. Then a friend showed up (non-employee) and she carried on a conversation with her friend. I left and went to Price Chopper across the street on 7 Hwy in Blue Springs. This particular Price Chopper has a salad bar that equals the one at this Hyvee and have been satisfied with the quality I have received there. BUT! I don't want to go to this Price Chopper. I work out at Planet Fitness in the same parking lot as this HyVee and it's just easier to go to this HyVee to get what I need. The company I work for in Blue Springs caters in lunches and dinners several times a year. We used to use pretty much HyVee for all our catering needs. NOT ANYMORE. The food used to be good with a lot of quality. Not now, the food is horrible. The service used to be good, not anymore. It's like no one cares anymore. This HyVee has employees who are horrible with customer service and do not have helpful people with a smile like their add says. It's too bad too because I used to like this store a lot. I hope someone from management see's this because you have lost a customer and I know several other people who are just as upset with your service as I am. There are numerous grocery stores in Blue Springs and numerous catering companies. We have a selection and don't have to use HyVee. Why pay more for less quality and less service. Just moved to Blue Springs. Love having this grocery store nearby, if only for the beer selection! The groceries are a little pricey, but there is an Aldi nearby I'm looking forward to checking out. read more

The store has changed a lot in the recent past. It hasn't been for the better. Since they opened up the market grill they've hiked up there prices in the kitchen. Furthermore, They've stopped preparing food in the kitchen. It's all processed bagged food that they reheat. Also, the service is very SLOW in the market grill, I waited for my food for at least 45 minutes in the market grill! And to top it all off, they are very rude! I'll never be coming back. read more

Hy Vee is a solid grocery etc store. It's more expensive then your normal grocery compared to walmart or price chopper but the quality is far superior. The store and amenities are superior I general. New building, good location. Basically a full food court which is great and varied. best salad bar ever! Also they have Chinese which is nice, bakery is top notch and have ordered good cakes from here. The staff is hit or miss. There will be some nice attentive employees then you'll run across some grumpy uninterested teenagers but that's normal I suppose. I'm very happy hy vee got a new store up and running here in Blue Springs because it's a great addition !! read more

So I was tired of driving to Lee's Summit for on line grocery pick up so I decided to try HyVee. First be prepared to wait 48 to 72 hours for delivery. So I went with pick up. When I went to pick up today at HyVee and I had to call three times because no one would answer the phone!! The man that finally answered was curt and said "We have seven orders ahead of you so it will be awhile." Never thought I would say this but back to WalMart for better customer service. Why pay more for groceries worse customer service? Can't wait for Amazon to start delivery in my area. read more

This store has great selection. I love that theu have an all you can eat salad bar as well as several dining options. I particularly love the meatloaf dinner. I have never had any problems with the groceries. The gas rewards are fantastic. I use their pharmacy regarly and their prices are fair and they give gas rewards for every prescription. And refill. i can always find everything i need there! I am one satisfied customer. read more

I took my daughter out to lunch at this restaurant and it was really good. She had the Macaroni and Cheese Burger with fries,band I had a Reuben Sandwich with sweet potato fries. The burger was cooked properly. My sandwich was done well, with the bread being crisp on the outside. They used local marble rye bread that they sell for it. The french fries and sweet potato fries were cooked fresh, and cooked properly, with a crunchy exterior and a soft interior. Overall an excellent experience and we will return read more

If I could give no stars I would. I do door dash, but I also always shop at this Hy-Vee. I have never been assaulted at a grocery store, so this is a first. Not only was the worker unprofessional but he threw a lit cigarette into my car while I was trying to pick up an order, which I didn't get, all because I had finished my cigarette and thrown it out my window. He almost hit me in the face with it and did hit my husband in the leg with it. He also tried to fight my husband over it and was cussing at us the entire time. I feel extremely unsafe at this Hy-Vee now, even though it has been my regular Hy-Vee. People like that shouldn't be employed at a place where they regularly have to interact with people. This worker insulted my job and my car because he was mad that a cigarette butt was in the parking lot. I do not recommend going to the grocery pick up at this Hy-Vee. Maybe their other workers are alright but this one ruined it for me. read more

Hy-Vee in Blue Springs is my favorite grocery store, and that's saying a lot because I absolutely dread grocery shopping. The layout of the store is very convenient and all the employees are friendly. They have an extensive organic food section, which has a ton of gluten-free & vegan foods. Even an organic section in produce. Great seafood selection & deli. You can even order hot food and there is a cafeteria to eat. They have an entirely separate section for wine & liquor, and a great wine selection! Another thing I love about this location is that the parking lot is well lit, unlike some other grocery stores in Blue Springs, and they are also open 24 hours. All in all, it's a great and well-organized store. The employees are very friendly and are always willing to help you find something you're looking for. The only issue I have with shopping late at night here is that there's usually only one cashier, and sometimes I feel like they find the slowest person EVER to ring people up. I understand being tired or whatever, but you should have at least SOME sense of urgency whenever you're ringing up a customer. The last time I was there, the cashier was so slow, I felt like jumping behind the counter and ringing up everything myself, but if that's really the only bad thing about a grocery store, I'd have to say they're doing pretty good! I will definitely be coming back here, it just might be a little earlier than usual. It'd be really nice if they added a self checkout though! read more

Big shout out to Wanda and the catering team at Blue Springs HyVee!! They did a wonderful job catering our 100 person wedding on August 8th. We had so many great comments from guests on how good the food was. We went with the Mediterranean Chicken and the Roast Beef with Party Potatoes, garden salad and fresh fruit. They also catered our small rosette cake (for bride and groom cutting) and made 7 dozen cupcakes in varying flavors. Superb attention to detail! Contact Wanda if you want the best in Kansas City. Wanda in the catering department at HyVee is as good as it gets! She is an asset to this store. People know her by first name all over the city. She is top notch. She sets up the tables beautifully with 100% attention to detail. Has a great staff that clears tables of debris, and the food is excellent. So was the cake!! Wanda is amazing! Hyvee pharmacy - really wanted to switch from Walgreens and love Hyvee... They are constantly out of medications and tonight, my Dr called in 2 prescriptions for me, both prepackaged, no mixing or pill counting, and when I got there over an hour later, they only had one ready. Asked if I could come back in 30 min. My 6 month trial with Hyvee pharmacy is officially over. Big thumbs down. read more

Wow! Just came from HyVee in Blue Springs, but won't be back for a long while. Very rude cashier and customer service rep. When the cashier didn't take the sale price of .99 for my Prego pasta sauce I reminded him that it was on sale (with coupon). He told me the "register" would take it off at the "end." When I received the receipt, I noticed that I paid the regular price and nothing was taken off for the sale price. I informed the cashier again that the Prego is on sale for .99, he told me that he already closed out my transaction and that I would have to carry my 5 bags over to the customer service desk and wait in the line to receive my refund for the sale item. When I told him, that's why I told you before you rang up the Prego that it was on sale with the coupon, he just stared at me and said the customer service desk could help me, and began ringing up the next customer in line. So I packed up my 5 bags of groceries and trekked to the customer service desk, and waited in line for my 1 dollar and change refund. All around lousy service and high prices. In this HyVee, there's "A rude, unknowledgeable frown in every isle." It's back to the new Price Chopper across the street for good. read more
