Fast forward to last month or so and we tasted a birthday cake that a couple from our church got for their daughter. It was amazing. I felt duped and don't know if it's because there are different bakers and decorators now, but I really do hope it's better.

I personally do not use it but my mother did before her death in 2011 and my father has used it recently and they have not gotten any better. Hospice sent script to them yesterday afternoon for my father. I went to get it, wasn't ready said be about half hour so I left and went back an hour later still not ready, excuse this time was no amount to dispense listed and to late to contact provider, would have been great to have known that the first time rather than come back 30 minutes. Explained again that this was medication for my father who just started hospice and we need the medication for pain and that hospice has staffing 24 hours. Contacted hospice and they got it straight. This isn't a one time issue with this pharmacy it's an every time my parents used it. We moved my mothers from there before she passed away and I've instructed hospice to move my father's scripts from there. Incompetence is the word best to describe this pharmacy, staff apparently do not communicate with each other and standard response for customers must be "not ready give us 30 minutes."

First and foremost, the deli here is nothing short of amazing. I always get the BLT, and it never disappoints. The bacon tastes incredibly fresh, and the produce on it is just as fresh. I also love to add their jalapeño cheddar cheese--so flavorful! A few jalapeños for an extra kick, and it's perfect. Another highlight for me is the bakery. The service is great and their banana bread is one of my absolute favorites--moist, tasty, and often fresh out of the oven. Peanut butter pie was so good! The peanut butter part was light and creamy and the crust is always good in their pies! They're all always very nice, friendly and helpful, and I just love going in there. I wasn't sure if the deli would be open when I got there at 8:30, but they open at 8 with the store, so I was very happy about that.

I don't support self-checkout because I am strongly in favor of humans having jobs. If I had not needed the items I had, I would have just left. I can do the tech but I'm sure the owners of Walmart are not going broke and are quite capable of hiring and scheduling cashiers. I am also confident that any savings they make on wages go right into corporate profits and pockets. They are not doing this to make things cheaper for customers, although I'm positive that is the story they tell to justify the self-checkout lanes. The more the self-checkout trend grows, if it does, the fewer people there will be who will have that paycheck to spend. I have also heard they lose more money at some of the stores than they paid out in wages because the "attendants" can't watch everyone, and a lot of unpaid merchandise walks out the doors. I only shop at Walmart if I'm desperate already, and now I know not to go there at night if I don't want to compromise my principles.
