Picked up 2 CFS Monday Meals to Go specials at 6pm today, The mashed potatoes and gravy were very good as was the corn. However the Cficken Fried Steak was totally unacceptable. It was so overcooked and hard we had to get steak knifes to cut it. Totally tasteless, almost impossible to chew, and way too hard to eat. We trashed them and ate the sides which were very good. In all the years we have been coming here this is the worst meal we have had. Also possibly the first bad meal we've had here. We felt like it possibly was warmed up way too many times or possibly kept warm way too long. Whatever the reason it was seriously bad. read more

This Location used to be the Number 1 store in Omaha for many years. That was several years ago when the manager (Brent) ran this store like a well-oiled machine. His personality and leadership qualities kept employees happy and always striving to give the very best customer service. He had regular meetings with the employees to make them feel important, respected and pumped up to do their very best every minute of their workday. Back then, customer service was top of the line, the store was always spotless, bright and cheery, the shelves were always fully stocked, and the sale items were always readily available, even on the last day of the sale. Employees greeted customers with a smile and spoke to them by asking how their day was going or asked if they needed help with anything. If you couldn't find an item, there were always plenty of employees around to ask and they jumped to it with urgency and a smile to make sure customers were accommodated. The baggers automatically carried the groceries to the customers vehicles, even when the store was extremely busy, The employees were trained to never asked a customer, "Do you want them carried out?" which could make customers feel like they were being too much of a bother if they said yes. They were trained to say, "Which way are we going?" This store wanted customers to know they were always going to have their groceries carried out and put in their vehicle for them no matter how busy the store was. The days of exceptional customer service in this store is long gone! You now have to ask if they will take your groceries to the car and then you have to wait awhile for them to find someone to do it. I guess maybe they don't want the baggers to leave their stations so they call someone over the intercom to come to the front of the store for a carry out and that could take several minutes. By then, a customer feels like they're asking for something nearly impossible and bothering the flow of the store. It's difficult to get the good sale items today unless you get to the store early on the first day of the sale before the items are gone. They don't order enough of those items any longer or they only put a limited amount of those items on the shelves and when its empty, they won't put anymore out until the sale is over. They used automatically offer a raincheck or give you another brand for the sale price. I know a lot of businesses went downhill after the pandemic due to lack of help and supply chain issues and economy, but this stores downward spiral started long before covid. It's always been said that any business is only as good as its management. This has been proved here. read more

When you enter the store the first thing you see is a Starbucks if that's your thing your in luck. Today was my first visit this location and I was a little less than impressed. Like some of my previous post on grocery stores the lay out and flow really helps customers. The layout and flow was a struggle for me as a new shopper to this location. I spent about 10 minutes in the produce section trying to find the 5 items I needed. Moving on to the meat department the seafood is separated quite a bit from pork, beef and chicken which caused my wait time to be longer at the counter trying to get the attention of the butchers to come help me. This location is older and has fewer staff members than other locations in the area. I personally love Hy Vee and the selections and helpful staff. But I will take the extra drive no matter what to get back to the 180th and Pacific location over any other around the area. The management, staff and flow of that location fits together more with what I expect and hope for as a customer. read more

This location is almost always busy, yet it always seems clean and well stocked. Their prices are a bit higher than the National chains such as Walmart. You pay a bit of a premium for the cleanliness And friendliness for the employees. For this visit we picked up their sushi for a quick dinner. The sushi is made fresh each day and rivals some sushi restaurants in town. It's an excellent no hassle dinner for those looking for something a bit fancier than drive thru. read more

My husband came with the worst chicken from the deli at Stoneybrook we have ever had, looks like it set under warming lights all day. The driest hardest chicken ever. My grandkids asked " What's wrong with this chicken?" Will say potatoes and gravy were okay. read more

This Hy-Vee is very poorly ran. It is impossible to simply go in, get groceries, pay, and leave at this location. Every time I go there, it is a disaster. It is a baseball throw from my house, but I do everything in my power to shop elsewhere despite the proximity of it. I will drive a ways to the Pacific location just to not have to incur the major inconveniences associated with the 180th and Q location. read more

This Millard/West Omaha location is awesome. Beside the gas pump and car wash, they also have a Starbucks! I love this neighborhood and the staff that works inside. They are all smiles and "how can I help you?" I think this is the stuffs that grocery stores should be made of. Hyvee is a reputable brand and chain and I enjoy supporting them as they continue to expand in Omaha and beyond. read more

When we moved to Omaha back in June 2015, I had never stepped foot into a Hy-Vee in my life. Now, I could never go back to a world where I didn't know Hy-Vee exists. I'm forever changed. I love Hy-Vee. I live smack dab in the middle between two Hy-Vee stores, this one and the one on Stony Brook. The one on Stony Brook has a better beer selection but this overall store is my favorite of the two. Not sure why, maybe its the nostalgia that this was the first one I found. The meat selection is great, as is the produce. The prices may be a little higher but the service and selection make up for that. The fuel saver is a nice perk, if you can remember to use it! Overall, definitely worth a stop if you live in the area and want your grocery shopping needs met. read more

My husband and I came in for a quick dash of cookies and he snagged a Pokémon box during a snow storm. we came home to find out the Pokemon box was empty, as someone stole the cards prior to our purchase. I called the store, they validated which register it came from and said to come in tonight and they would "sort" it out. Upon driving back to the shop with inclement weather, they refused to refund it as they didn't know if we stole it or not. Please learn proper customer service and do not have a customer waste their time, gas money, if you are going to refuse to sort the issue. Save us time and energy and be honest and educate your employees on proper customer service. read more

We love our local Hy-Vee. The folks working there are so friendly, and extremely helpful. Samples are often available throughout the store, and on occasion there's a sampling extravaganza that becomes a must-attend event on our calendars. I can order or reserve special items in the Wine & Spirits section, and the employees there are very knowledgeable when it comes to their products. read more

This store is a one stop shop. It is one of my family's favorite things about moving to Omaha. The staff is extremely helpful and professional. Their monthly/seasonal mailing flyers are helpful with tons of recipes and coupons. Fuel saver points are a bonus. The store has great lighting, a good layout, a great deli/restaurant and the best donuts!!! I love this store! We just moved to Gretna a couple of weeks ago. Wide aisles, clean, open, great lighting. It just feels welcoming. Tons of stuff in stock. Even my husband likes it!! I'm hooked on grocery shopping online because of Hyvee's Aisles Online sevice. Spend over $100 and the delivery charge is waived. Instead of adding items to my shopping list, I just pop onto the app and add the item to my cart. I find that I spend less on impulse buys and it has lowered my overall budget for groceries. This location provides this service despite it being further away from my home. The delivery consistently arrives on time. The produce and meats that they deliver are great quality. The app is adequate and only occasionally has gliches. I still do some shopping in person at the Hyvee store since alcohol can not be delivered. Also, our family eats the deli foods on occasion when evening activities make cooking at home a challenge. read more

Keep giving this place a chance, messed up on my daughter birthday and played it off, and THEN I order stuff 4 DAYS IN ADVANCE, and had the audacity to call me and tell me that my order was canceled tell me they didn't have any product to give me. Even though I ordered four days in advance but I guess they're using the products for At risk people and I get it but I'm tired of giving this place a chance. I'm done. I'd rather go to a different Hy-Vee or even go to Walmart. They seem like they care but if you get them upset they tend to show it buy using attitude or showing absolutely no sympathy or empathy. The grocery store is great, but I'm not impressed by the pharmacy and quick care. Saturday I called in a prescription for pick up. Showed up 15 minutes later and they asked me to dive around to the end of the line. I did. Then I got to the window again. The woman said it'd be just a few more moments, but I was left at the window for 15 minutes. I eventually range the buzzer and another woman showed up and was unaware I was even waiting. She then told me that she didn't know how much longer it would be, so I just told them I'd get it later and left. The other issue is the quick care. I think it's way too slow. They really shouldn't be taking 30-45 minutes per person. It someone shows up with issues like that, they need to go to their primary care giver so that the rest of us can use this place like it was meant to. read more

Don't bother trying to eat breakfast at this Hy-Vee on a Sunday morning. We waited about 45 minutes for our bacon and egg breakfast. One of the workers gabbed with the table next to us for at least 10 minutes. She was complaining about customers who returned goods to the store. Someone should have been in the kitchen fixing food for the 10+ tables that did not order the buffet. The orders came out once every 5 to 10 minutes. We saw a couple of tables went up to request a refund...tired of waiting. Never again. read more

I sell on Ebay. We have been shopping here weekly ever since he store opened in 2003. I was mailing my stuff at their customer service counter with no issues. A few months ago, something changed. Apparently they thought I was abusing their service, started suggesting I take my mail to the post office. I was told that they 'maintain postal services as a convenience to our customers'. I told her we spend over $1000 monthly in the store, apparently that did not impress them. I grew tired of all the attitude I was getting and then started mailing at another Hyvee outlet- they were nice and no issues. I believe this whole thing was due to the Customer service manager there, an older woman who seems like a real control freak. We still buy groceries there but maybe not much longer. read more

Great service from this place. I call to ask questions about inventory, they make an effort to order items for me when I need. Great produce section. Bakery is typical for HyVee. Parking can be tough. Prices also typical for HyVee, more expensive the nother grocery stores, but many times I come here anyways because it's convenient, and the service really is wonderful. They have made some mistakes on my bill in the past, and when I called them on the phone they made it right and went above and beyond to correct their own mistakes. I wish they had more items for the Jewish holidays. They do have a Starbucks and the line is fast! Gas, car wash, and a quick shop available too. read more

I have had multiply problems at this store with their lack of gender training. I am a transgender. And every time I go in there hoping is just 1 or 2 employees who are ignorant. But after 2 complaints and leaving in embarrassed again. From more than just 2 employees in different areas. I have been offend. I am a female. I dress as a female. But yet I am called sir every time. My child works there. Didn't know I had been up there or even called. Came home saying they over heard a few mangers mocking a call from an anger transgender and laughed. My child was not happy about it. That is Very unprofessional and inappropriate. read more

Was in this store doing my weekly shopping for 30 minutes- I was addressed by staff 27 times. I know they have a reputation for friendliness but it seems forced at this store, sometimes you just want to be left alone. I am in my 60's and some 17 year old acting like they are interested in my 'big plans' for the weekend is just way stupid. This is a nice store, location, etc, we like it. But are on the verge of going elsewhere, it is just too obsessively preoccupied with their 'friendly' image. read more

This is the best Hy-Vee store in Omaha. The people who work there are friendly and helpful. They have almost everything you could need in one convenient store, and if they don't they will try to get it for you. Pricing is a bit higher than other near grocery stores, especially for the fruits and vegetables, but the service, cleanliness and specialty food selection make up for it! A couple weekends ago I stopped by late at night after a 14 hour work day. I needed to grab a quick something to make for dinner and a bottle of wine to unwind on the late Friday night. I stopped at the store and as I was parking I noticed a guy running up to everyone's car trying to sell them something out of a box. I was alone, it was late and I didn't feel comfortable getting out of my car. Every time I tried to park he ran up to my car. I called the store and spoke with an over night manager and told him my dilemma. He and another employee came outside and found me. After I quickly shopped the manager walked me to my car (and carried my bag) and waited until I pulled away to go back inside. While I shopped he stayed outside to make sure the guy left. I was so happy to feel safe and be able to get my shopping done. I'm sorry I missed the guys name but he was a African American gentleman with a really beautiful, thick accent. I've always enjoyed visiting this store and this was above and beyond any shopping experience. Thank you! read more
