Went here for a Happy Hour at their bar in the lobby, so I don't know about the rooms or other aspects of the service, but the bar area is basic. Some seating and a fully stocked bar. There was an area for food setup and the atmosphere was cozy. It's a nice place in downtown Evanston to meet for drinks.

I highly recommend this Hyatt House. The staff are warm and welcoming, customer service is great, and the rooms are modern and clean with all the necessary amenities. The free breakfast is also one of the best free hotel breakfasts I've ever had because of the awesome omelet bar. Everyday, they had breakfast meats, scrambled eggs, potatoes, French toast or waffles, a cereal bar with dairy and plant-based milks, coffee, tea, juice, fruit, pastries, bagels, and cottage cheese. The eating area and bar is spacious with lots of natural light - a pleasant place to sit and have breakfast in the morning. The gym here is pretty great - the machines are new and it's clean and spacious with views of the outside. Free weights, machine weights, ellipticals and treadmills. Perfect. the other great thing about this hotel which we didn't really get to take advantage of since it's November, is the outside patio area that features a BBQ grill, tables and chairs and pretty plants. This would be a great place to host a party if you were visiting from out of town. It would also be a perfect place to host a happy hour or work event. I will say that we stayed the night before Thanksgiving - the biggest party night of the year - and there was definitely a loud party next door until 4am. I really wasn't bothered, but I'm a heavy sleeper that travels with earbuds so I can block out unwanted noise. I'd bet that folks on my floor called and complained, but they really weren't quiet until 4am. We will stay here every time we visit Chicago!

    Nice relaxing place to chill

This is our new place to stay when coming to Chicago. Very nice staff, polite valet service. Nice breakfast with many choices. We really liked everything. Great group of people working there. Fast elevators, great lobby for my computer work. Just a nice place where you feel relaxed. Loved the artwork!!

Majority is so far so good! I'm not seeing any recycling bins in the room or breakfast area... :( The roof terrace is lovely! A water feature would be a great addition to help cover the noise of the street and nearby construction. I've had to leave my car on the street to go actively seek a valet attendant each time.. is that how they've planned it?

Deadbolt won't work without pulling up as hard as you can on the door.

Stayed 3 nights - Overall a pleasant experience. Hotel is in a great location with a Whole Foods two blocks up and a Trader Joes 4 blocks down. Plenty of dining options within walking distance and the Elevated Train (Purple Line) is just a short walk away. This is a new Hyatt House with the new concept of a hotel bar and made to order food. This is convenient but if you have stayed at any of the older Hyatt House locations with complimentary beer/wine and light snacks M-Th evenings, you won't find that here. Rooms are well equipped with full kitchen and fullsize fridge. Our suite had two TVs and a pull out sofabed. We paid with points, so I can't comment on value but it's worth checking out as an alternative to downtown Chicago. About 30 minute train ride to Little Saigon and about an hour to the Chicago stop on the Red Line Hotel staff was friendly and personable and Valet parking isn't too bad given Chicago - $29/night. We would definitely stay here again

Delightful neighborhood for a long Spring walk, dinner, relaxing! Great staff, fantastic rooms/suites!!

This suite has a large king sized bed and oversized 2 person shower with his/hers sinks. There is a controlled temperature remote which i thought was nice and the VINTAGE ELEVATOR! OMG! It was sooo cool to find an old school Otis elevator with swing gate. This hotel has gone through significant upgrades with modern amenities and has a new outdoor terrace on the 6th floor. Check out their collection of Ugly Mugs in their Tea Room where they offer complementary breakfasts. We happily munched on ham and cheese crossant sandwiches, eggs, oatmeal and fresh sweet pastries. Absolutely loved this place and look forward to spending future anniversaries here.

I did not have problems hearing through the walls because I didn't hear anybody. It is a very nice place that I highly recommend and the staff are very friendly. It is pet friendly, $25 a night and there is a parking place behind there, a private lot for $10 a night which is very fair. I like all the all natural body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and soaps they provide there.

When I booked the room it said that it included free private parking at the location... less then 24hrs hours before check in I get an email stating ( there are 3 parking spots that's first come first serve and parking on road in front of house) ok well that should be put on the description before u book the hotel cause I would've never booked with them if I'd known u had to park over 2 miles from the hotel... We got their at 3:11pm check in was 3pm - we got there and no parking for over 2 miles away from house on the side of a road in a sketchy area... We had no way of knowing about this until we arrived because their description was a lie and not detailed enough... They didn't say they had 6 rooms but only 3 parking spaces... We had 2 large suitcases, a large duffel bag. And a large cooler that they expected us to walk over 2 miles with to the house to check in...
