I booked the hotel through hotels.com but did not receive warning that the person who booked the hotel has to come to the property with the credit card. I did not know this, was not told it and would not have booked with them if I had -- my child was traveling to Chicago unaccompanied. I tried to contact them by phone, the phone rang once than would cut off. This happened to me, it happened to my spouse than we then had TWO friends call and it happened to them as well. I was frustrated while calling and expressed this to my spouse. Apparently what I said to my husband recorded on their machine. Someone called me back and immediately started screaming at me (while denying that they were screaming but my spouse could hear them through the phone across the room). I apologized and apologized for the mix up and told them that I would do whatever I needed to do to solve the problem. I had received NO information from the hotel except a threatening email my son received while they were in the air flying to Chicago. This was the one and only communication that we received, hours before he was slated to arrive. I wanted to pay them, I wanted to solve the problem but the person on the phone just screamed irrationally at me and insisted that they had tried to contact me. Whoever was talking to me just berated me, condescended to me and kept screaming at me even though I was doing everything I could do to solve the problem. I asked them not to yell at me and told them that I just wanted to solve the problem. Then they simply hung up on me. It was so horrible that I was shaking uncontrollably. I don't care how nice their place is, no one should ever treat anyone this way much less a client who was clearly doing absolutely everything to solve the problem. I will be reporting them to the BBB. Do NOT under any circumstances patronize this business.

And because I rented it out, sight-unseen, from New Mexico and rolled into town the day I was meant to rent it out, I was so impressed at how the business end was tailored to accommodate my situation (I couldn't pay, or even give a deposit to the owner, until the day I arrived - as a dozen girls had to mail me their share of the cost). We arranged the Friday thru Sunday stay for my sister's bachelorette party and it was an incredibly pleasant experience. All the girls thought the house was to die for... It is a no-joke mansion. I suppose if you live in a castle somewhere you might think it's the usual thing, but it was jaw-droppingly beautiful to us. We spent much of our first day and a half there running into each others rooms and shrieking "DID YOU SEE THIS/THAT?" Everyone who has seen the photos is amazed at the place, and my extended family is thinking of renting it out for next year's family reunion since it's super close to Wrigley, and that's kind of our thing. :) *** N - thank you so much for a lovely weekend and all of your help. I appreciated the protected bike parking, the wood floors, the new kitchens, and the air conditioning the most. Oh! And the laundry facility on the first floor is clean and I don't think I ever saw another person there in the three years I lived there.

I live out of state, so I needed a trusted team to sell my tenant occupied condo on the North-side of Chicago. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY.
