Staying here was a last minute decision that turned out to be a bad choice. Things are not what they seem at this brand location. I want to give an honest review and let others know how it really is to stay here. This location operates and presents like family run hotel, not a Hyatt Brand. Everything is cheap or low budget, except for the pool. We needed to take a quick trip to the Bay Area to see a theatre show in Martinez. I checked reviews and rates and this location came up as an option. Price, location to the theatre venue, Yelp Ratings, Yelp Reviews, and the pool is what helped me decide on this place. We called ahead as we were arriving later than planned 12a, because of travel challenges. The person on the phone was assured us that someone would be there. They gave us instructions for very late check in. We arrived and the person at the front desk granted us access inside. He was able to assign us a room and offer additional bedding if the room did not have it for the sofa sleeper. We did end up needing the additional bedding, so we made yet another trip downstairs to get it. We had problems. It was 12:30a and the room keys did not work. We went down to the front desk 3-4 times to try to get it mitigated. The front desk person was only able to get one of the room keys to work so we had to use that one key to get our luggage up, park the car, and navigate at 1:30a to get situated in the room. The next day the hotel staff was able to get us 2 of 3 room keys working, very inconvenient. The room was OK. It was setup ok, but the carpet, TVs, and appliances are dated. The sofa sectional is modern but cheap. The TV remotes never properly worked fully. There is a king bedroom, with french doors to separate the living room sectional seating area; which also includes the kitchenette. Overall, the carpet was aesthetically disappointing. The TVs are also dated. The bathroom is a standup shower no tub, and a toilet, with the vanity as a walkthrough next to the king bed. The bathroom vanity is very dated but clean. There are not enough towel racks or hooks for 3 people to stay here. We were doomed next to the stairwell of the hotel. All hours of the night loud banging noises of people and children walking and screaming and jumping up and down the staircase behind our King bedroom. Pros: Pool is very nice, In and Out across the street, free breakfast daily 6a-9a, kitchenette is decent, lighting is decent in rooms Cons: Dated, needs refresh, hallway carpets are bland and unappealing, breakfast is cheap and not tasty, lots of spider webs in the window corners in room, room key system doesn't work well. If I could rate 4.5 stars, I would. But, since yelp doesn't allow half-star ratings, I'll go ahead and bump this up to a full 5-star. There's absolutely nothing "wrong" with this hotel. Everything is clean and well-maintained. All of the amenities worked as designed and service is friendly. The location is also great -- super close to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. My only criticisms would be trivial things like: minor tearing on carpet and a room that felt a little cramped/generic. read more

My family and other members of the bridal party stayed here last month during my cousin's wedding week and were pleasantly surprised. Although not a large scale hotel, I do like that there was ample parking around the hotel for those with a car. The lobby is intimate, but there are still different areas of seating as well as the dining area which provides more seating! When checking into the hotel, I had a great conversation over nails and DJ's with one of the front desk agents, which was a great start or interactions with the staff. Although my keys didn't work well when getting up to my room, they were very accommodating with getting me a new one. I also made friends with the staff on our floor that saw me coming and going from room to room during the wedding day and pre wedding check list days! The amenities at the hotel are wonderful such as the morning breakfast buffet, fruit water and the front, grab and go snacks for purchase in their convenience store nook, and a water station to fill up. Although we didn't take advantage of the pool or gym, they both looked well-maintained. The breakfast selection changed slightly daily, which was a nice surprise. The rooms itself are well furnished, have all amenities to enjoy your stay, and I enjoyed that the suites non-suite rooms had kitchens and living areas. I do think that a family of 4 adults may be very comfortable in the space with the pullout sofa bed as that bed is not comfortable in any sense. The springs can be felt throughout the night and obviously the restroom is in the bedroom area so doors are kept open to allow for all of us to use them. We ended up just sleeping on the couch the second night. We did request extra pillows, blankets, and towels, which were brought in a very timely manner with friendly service on the end of the phone and at our door. Although the TV streaming didn't work in our room, we were able to utilize the TV channels, which was nice for my family on their off-time while I was busy with wedding duties. I often stay here for work when traveling to San Ramon. The rooms are decent sized with a small kitchen, couch, desk, and bed area. They have a small gym and outdoor pool. Free hot breakfast is always good. They also have a shuttle to some local areas that is complimentary, you just have to schedule in advance with them. read more

I checked in on Saturday, March 28th, 2026, for a three-night stay in three rooms. I immediately checked out because the experience was nothing like the pictures. The rooms had an overwhelming musty and cigarette smell, and there were spiders present. The hotel bathroom tiles were covered in mildew, which was very unpleasant. This was our second time staying at the Hyatt House San Ramon. Overall, we love the hotel. The staff is super friendly, they let us check in an hour early both times, the complimentary breakfast is delicious, the one bedroom suites are very comfortable and the parking price/lot is great. The reason for our two star review is because of the pool. We have two young kids so the biggest draw when we stay anywhere is a nice pool. They have a great pool but it's small in size as well as the limited seating surrounding it. I didn't know this the previous time I stayed but they offer resort passes. This means that people can come use the pool for the day and not be a guest at the hotel. This seriously impacts the ability for the guests to use the pool due to overcrowding. Almost all the people we ran into at the pool were using these passes and taking up all the tables and lounge chairs for the entire day. There was even a birthday party being hosted out there on Saturday night and the music level/crowd were very loud. Lots of drinking and obnoxious behavior in front of young families. Also something to note, both times we stayed they had to close the pool from the afternoon until the next morning due to an incident happening in the pool. The first time someone threw up in the pool, this last time there was poop in it. Understandably not their fault for those incidents but it does affect our stay every time it happens since we are mostly there to utilize the pool. Sadly despite everything else we love about the hotel, we probably won't stay again due to the poor management of the pool area. read more

I have had it with the dirtiness of the rooms! My husband and I lodge here every other week or every month because we are visiting my aging mum. We always stay in the studio king room which we usually end up santizing and cleaning (this is a usual practice since covid) and figured if we stayed in a one bedroom, it would give us more space and be cleaner, how wrong we were! The room was filthy! We had to clean it up, like the fridge, cooker, counter tops, chairs, light switches, the window sills, dirty and sticky light fixtures and the entire bathroom was stinking like mold, broken pipes and dirt! After cleaning up the entire room, we sanitized as usual and had to then go to safeway to purchase febreeze for the bathroom (we had to hang it from a hanger) and the vanity area and scrubbing bubbles toilet cleaner to clean the stinking toilet!!! They seem to also have a very bad drainage problem as both the sink pipes and shower drainage were stinking! It was so ridiculous and our room couldn't be changed because the hotel was fully booked (we were told at check in and honestly, the entire parking lot on the West wing was full) Now the front desk guys were amazing as usual (both men working on Saturday August 2nd evening- 10pm), however, we can't keep having our stay ruined due to totally, nasty uncleaniness, bye! read more

Ya know? A good front desk staff can make a big difference in one's stay and this was a good example. Kindness , helpfulness and expediency are all values I hold as important and the staff here was 5 stars across the board. The suite was large and everything was spotless. The bed was as comfortable as any I've slept on and the breakfast was, while unspectacular, as fresh as could be expected and the coffee was of a high quality. My room was overlooking the pool, and there were people in and near the pool all night long. I had to get sleep as I had an important meeting the following day. Therefore, around 1:00 am, realizing the intense noise was not going to stop, I had to leave and stay at the BestWestern hotel down the road. It is extremely inconsiderate that the hotel does not implement and/or enforce pool hours. It is utterly ridiculous to allow guests to make an extreme amount of noise in the pool at 1:00 am to the point where I was forced to leave and stay at another hotel for an additional fee. read more

We had an exceptional stay here at Hyatt House San Ramon. We did a 3 night stay here and booked early in advance on their website to get a small discount. Check-in was super easy. Since we came here on a Friday evening, they had plenty of rooms available and gave us options to pick out which floor we wanted to stay on. We ended up getting the first floor. We also paid a $75 pet fee and daily parking fee in advance upon checking in. You can then park behind the hotel or towards the side to get quicker access to your room. The parking lot here is small, but there's enough spaces to accommodate everyone. As for the room, it was quite spacious. The kitchen was a decent size and it was fully stocked. We love the extra pillows and blanket the room came with. We also had a couch that pulls out into a bed, but we didn't use it. The bathroom was good. The shower had good pressure and they gave us plenty of towels to use. We love the convenience of staying on the first floor, as it gave us quick access to our car, laundry room, and dining area. There is complimentary breakfast served every morning so we took advantage of that. Our favorite is the bacon. It's super crispy and we always grab a little extra to fill us up for the day. Some complaints we do have is the noise level. The walls are paper thin and we can hear every conversation outside our room as well as next door. The refrigerator in our room took over a day to become cold because it felt like room temperature the first day. As for the bed, one side of our bed was dented so it felt really uneven. Not quite sure why, but we sank into one side because of the gaping dent. Our final complaint is the laundry room. DO NOT DO YOUR LAUNDRY HERE. It takes hours for our wet laundry to dry and you will find yourself spending more money than you need to trying to do your laundry here. Overall, the staff here is very friendly and accommodating. They are always greeting us and making sure that we get what we need. We honestly enjoyed our stay here despite the small setbacks. The hotel itself is very clean and we love how pet-friendly it is here. Our little guy had a really good stay here and loved going around the hotel saying hi to the hotel staff and guests here. read more

The 1 bedroom suite is set up nicely however having a bathroom where you wouldn't have to go thru the bedroom would be nice especially for Those sleeping in the living room area. The breakfast was pretty decent and filling. The flavored water at the front desk is a nice touch and refreshing. The only down side is that the key card system desperately needs to be updated. Daily as in every time I left my room I had to request new keys because my card would not work. Insanely frustrating. Getting locked outside my own room and continually having to go downstairs to the front desk was irritating. I called in the front desk to have someone bring me a key card but NO I had to go down. Checked in and was just taking luggage to room with my small dog on a leash. Front desk male clerk stopped me and literally lied to me about not having a dog because of others allergies. My dog is staying in town at my daughters. However, pay $100 pet fee and no one says anything. She wasn't staying here. I just needed to drop off my bags in the room. My daughter and I stayed at Hyatt House in San Ramon for my niece's wedding as she had booked a block of rooms. Making reservations was super easy and VERY reasonable especially being on New Years weekend. The staff was friendly and I really liked how they requested vaccination cards for anyone eating in their dining room. I always saw people wearing masks. Parking was plentiful and they even had charging stations for electric vehicles. While we didn't bring a pet, we saw many people who had their dogs with them which made us very happy. The rooms were pretty spacious with a pullout sofa that was actually comfortable (I did not sleep on it, but my daughter decided to so we could have separate spaces). I would say my only negative and it wasn't a huge deal, was that we parked in back because it was closest to our room, but we needed our key card every time we had to come through that door (I think it would be nice if it was unlocked during the day to make it easier to get in, although I do understand the reasoning). I think this might have been my first time staying at a Hyatt and I was very impressed. I will be adding them to my memberships. read more

I am doing a staycation. I live in Downtown Walnut Creek, but for various reasons, I needed to just concentrate on me for a bit and rest. I work two crazy careers. I was fried and had no idea. I stayed at the Marriott for one night and it was okay, but felt I could do better. I then moved to the Hyatt House. Was only going to stay for a night, but kept extending it to 4 nights. I'm loving it here! My room is like a luxury studio apartment. Bed so comfy. Shower so hot and great products. Kitchen is everything that you need. Living area is so comfy and I'm doing a Halloween movie marathon with wine and fun food. The pool area/hot tub are amazing and right out my door, as I requested. Staff is so nice and accommodating. I truly don't want to leave, but my real life calls me back. I did not realize how much I needed this and will be back!!! read more

We booked 2 nights stay for 1 Bedroom Suite:1 King Bed. It worked out perfectly for the night before my wedding and all the preparations the morning before the wedding ceremony. The room was clean & spacious, and the hotel was just 15 mins away from our wedding venue. There's plenty of parking & so convenient to have In & Out right across the way. We also enjoyed the nice continental breakfast they have out every morning. There is just 1 elevator, but that wasn't much of an issue for us. This is a hotel I have recommended when friends were visiting the area but have never stayed her myself. Since moving away and coming back for a visit I naturally thought I would book here. I made a reservation through Southwest not realizing it is really Booking.com. When our dates changed I cancelled the reservation with in 30 minutes of booking, have a cancellation confirmation stating this was a no fee cancellation but my American Express card had already been charged. I called the property and both Southwest and Booking.com and all accuse the other of having the funds! I'm so disappointed in the Hyatt House business practices and have been forced to open a dispute with American Express in an attempt to get my $1049.08 back! DO NOT STAY HERE! We were in San Ramon for a wedding and got a really great deal at the Hyatt House. The Hyatt House brand is designed with extended stay travelers in mind.... meaning, each room is a suite, similar to an apartment, and stocked with all the amenities needed to make you feel quite at home. All rooms include a full kitchen, living room, and all the utensils, dishware, cups, etc. which is amazing if you're staying for more than a few days and would like to eat a home-cooked meal. We didn't do that, but I like having the option to ;) The lobby area is cute, clean, & I loved the design. Check-in was a breeze and we were situated in our room in less than 15 minutes. Our room was big and provided tons of space to move around and spread out. There was a TV in each room and the bed was oh so comfy. It was really nice and cozy. In the morning they serve a full breakfast which comes free with each booking and they extend their hours during the weekend for those of us who need a little more time to wake up. Hehe. I missed it on the first day, but luckily the got in on breakfast our 2nd day. They serve the usual cereal, bread, fruits, yogurt, etc. They also have an omelette bar where you can get a custom omelette, which was delicious by the way. There's also a bar, a 24 hour little mini market which is stocked with the essentials (cup o noodles, candy, drinks, medicine, etc.), pool, 24 hour gym. This is basically your home away from home which is nice! My only complaint is that our hair dryer was broken, but other than that we enjoyed our stay and the location was so convenient to everywhere else we needed to be that weekend. read more

Hairs on the bed blanket and bed sheets. I called to the front desk and told them I have found hairs in the bed. I was told it was new bed sheets?? Really.... So they offer me the new room. Until now customer service was good. When I got in the new room found more hair on the pillow. Now I'm really upset so called front desk again. I asked if they change to new bed sheets and pillow covers and they said yes. I told them how Upset I am but I was told if I'm not happy with the cleanness they can just cancel the room or offer me another room. So disappointed!!! read more

We stayed for a night because we were attending a wedding near by. Let me just say, check in was a true nightmare. We got there at 3:30pm (check in is at 3 pm) and we were told that our room wasn't ready yet. SHOULD be 30 minutes. My boyfriend and I weren't worried so we went to Chili's near by for a drink. Spent 40 minutes there came back, waited more time before we were given a key to a room that was ALREADY RESERVED. Thankfully the guests staying there weren't inside! That would've been so awkward. Stayed here the night before our wedding 8 years ago and decided to bring the kids back recently. Stayed in a Studio King this time and it felt a tad smaller than before having two kids with us but the room was fine. The toilet had some stains on the seat which was pretty gross and the air blew in our face all night long which really dried out our throats but otherwise the space was fine. What we loved the most was the heated pool! It was a cooler weekend -temps in the high 60s to low 70 and the pool was heated to 86 so it was perfect! The kids had a blast and so did we! Oh Hyatt House, we wanted to like you. We loved the room. The girls at the breakfast check in were great. The elevator situation was absolutely horrendous, there's only 1 & it's suuuuuper slow. And when we woke up today on our anniversary to our car broken into in your parking lot (which we had to pay for a parking spot here mind you) you basically told us "oh well". I stayed at this location this past weekend after spending two nights at the Hyatt House Pleasanton. I love the Hyatt's but their service has been going downhill for some time now. My friend and I checked in without any issues and when I check out I just leave the keys in the room and leave because I never have issues. This time, after having breakfast at a spot not far from the hotel I checked my email and saw that the Assistant GM - Alicia Aceves had emailed regarding a smoking charge. Knowing that is a $250.00 charge from being a Hyatt member I definitely would not nor would I allow my friend to smoke inside. I immediately emailed her back disputing the charge. Especially since the email stated that the decision was made due to tobacco shavings being left in the trash can. I let her know that I was on my way back to the hotel. I wanted someone to accompany me to the room so we could both smell it...because they are lying. Michael was at the front desk and stated Alicia had left for the day and I could call tomorrow. I didn't want to call!! I wanted the issue resolved right then! If you're saying I did something prove it! They couldn't and declined to. The next day I called the hotel and spoke with Alicia who stated she had went an "inspected" the room for smoke and had smelled it. I let her know she may have smelled marijuana from it being rolled but she most definitely did NOT smell smoke. I also let her know my intention of returning to the property and she told me that housekeeping had already cleaned the room. Yeah fucking right!! Lying ass!! She also stated that customers don't normally return once notified about a smoking charge. I told her about my money...I'm definitely pulling up! I am not about giving up anything for free!! I'm tempted to rent a room again just to throw more shavings in the trash just to prove that they are some fucking liars. I have receipts so they definitely should have shown me there's. I stayed here for nearly two weeks and it felt like home when it was time to leave. The room had a nice king size bed, dish washer, full sink, full size fridge, a hot plate, and cabinets silverware/dishware. It was super roomy and comfortable. Robert at the H Bar is amazing. He's the bartender and the cook. Even when it got a tad busy he continued to engage with everyone. He seems to have a lot of work and handles it great. Sangita (I'm sorry if I misspelled her name) at the front is awesome, Jeff is super nice. I believe Janet is one of the other managers as well. She's very friendly as well. The hotel has a great breakfast every morning, much better than any of the other hotels I've stayed at. They have cereal, all kinds, bagels, muffins, fresh eggs, potatoes, sausage or bacon, pancakes and even an omelet bar! They also have a pool and hot tub with a decent amount of outdoor seating and complimentary parking. Awesome spot! I will definitely stay here again. read more

Been here about 3 times and haven't reviewed it and wanted to. The hotel is very clean, it's huge, the breakfast restaurant was delicious and amazing, there staff was awesome as well, very attentive to me. This hotel is close by everything, it's very homey and i really appreciate the staff here, they are all so amazing. The rooms was beautiful, I had a suite every time i have came and it's always been so nice and clean and spacious. The room service is a bit expensive but it's a hotel, get me.
