Desk to write- check Tv if needed-check
    Maureen C.

I had a class over the weekend that started from 9-530pm and the thought of having to wake up early, get ready and drive back and forth left me weary so I decided to search for a place to crash for a couple of days until the class was over. So after much searching and consideration I chose this place as it was close to where my class was. Sad to read the reviews other people had, I'm glad I didn't share those experiences. Again, my needs were rather simple so this is what I based on my review on. 1-Cleanliness: I do check sheets and floor for bed bugs and random hair that's not mine. Found none 2-Room functionality : tv, coffee maker/coffee/tea, couch that pulls out to accommodate another body, blow dryer, bathroom, clean towels, desk, king sized bed...check 3-Toiletries: glad I brought my own. While they did stock on the usual bars of soap, the conditioner dispenser mounted on the bathroom wall was empty/not working. 0.5 off -overall it would be a 4.5 experience

Way overpriced place to stay. Needs updates...... Badly. Charged me $339 a night for a room with nasty.... Stained carpet and dead insects inside the picture frame in the bathroom {see photos}. Hotel offered me 1000 marriott points.... Which was a nice gesture.... But still charged me full pop on the room. I contacted the hotel manager and was promptly broomed. The reason for this review is.... If this was a Motel 6, it would be OK. But.... This is a $339 a night hotel room! A Marriott Chain!!!Don't be fooled by the lobby. It is all newly renovated. Room Decor is over 20 year old!!!!

Any hotel that charges 2.30 for coffee that is usually free at other places, has rooms that directly overlook and share an odor from the garbage dumpster, and that has cleaning folks who miss random garbage in the room gets no more than two stars. Checked in here for work. Show up late in the evening and parking is a nightmare. Your room will be somewhat outdated, with modest furnishings and a small flat screen tv. The bathrooms area is very small, with your small sink area outside the door to the tub and toilet. The toilet/tub room is very small. I opened the curtains to find that my room directly overlooked the dumpsters. I also noticed used paper cups on the window sill that the cleaning folks missed. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you run out of options with the other area hotels.

No surprises accommodation (which is what you want) but here is a tip. The hotel is near capacity almost year around and if you do get a room facing highway, please ensure that double-glass French-doors leading to the balcony are BOTH shut (see picture) First night, the maid had left only one closed and the highway hum was unbearable.

A perfect place to stay for family or sports team gatherings. I don't always sleep well in very many hotels, The Westin I love because of their heavenly beds and nice hotels. In this Courtyard San Ramon it had to be the beds and just the relaxing clean inviting communal areas. Use your HiltonHHonors membership ask for breakfast bundle. We had a great deal with a convenient full breakfast included. Ideal since we were busy at a local soccer tourney and needed to be at the field early. Friendly, spotless, relaxing, with lots of areas to gather with friends both inside and outside. The pool area and patio sitting area is nice. Just inside from the pool area they have a large family style room equipped with board games, fireplace and a large FlatScreen TV. There is also a place to print out your boarding pass while you sip on fruit infused ice tea. Make sure you have a Friday night dinner at Clementine's within walking distance next door. Their fried chicken is yum. One negative is that for the 3 nights we stayed, their breakfast service was very slow. So try to get to breakfast early if you have to be somewhere. We had to take it to go because they were so slow

Staying here was a last minute decision that turned out to be a bad choice. Things are not what…read morethey seem at this brand location. I want to give an honest review and let others know how it really is to stay here. This location operates and presents like family run hotel, not a Hyatt Brand. Everything is cheap or low budget, except for the pool. We needed to take a quick trip to the Bay Area to see a theatre show in Martinez. I checked reviews and rates and this location came up as an option. Price, location to the theatre venue, Yelp Ratings, Yelp Reviews, and the pool is what helped me decide on this place. We called ahead as we were arriving later than planned 12a, because of travel challenges. The person on the phone was assured us that someone would be there. They gave us instructions for very late check in. We arrived and the person at the front desk granted us access inside. He was able to assign us a room and offer additional bedding if the room did not have it for the sofa sleeper. We did end up needing the additional bedding, so we made yet another trip downstairs to get it. We had problems. It was 12:30a and the room keys did not work. We went down to the front desk 3-4 times to try to get it mitigated. The front desk person was only able to get one of the room keys to work so we had to use that one key to get our luggage up, park the car, and navigate at 1:30a to get situated in the room. The next day the hotel staff was able to get us 2 of 3 room keys working, very inconvenient. The room was OK. It was setup ok, but the carpet, TVs, and appliances are dated. The sofa sectional is modern but cheap. The TV remotes never properly worked fully. There is a king bedroom, with french doors to separate the living room sectional seating area; which also includes the kitchenette. Overall, the carpet was aesthetically disappointing. The TVs are also dated. The bathroom is a standup shower no tub, and a toilet, with the vanity as a walkthrough next to the king bed. The bathroom vanity is very dated but clean. There are not enough towel racks or hooks for 3 people to stay here. We were doomed next to the stairwell of the hotel. All hours of the night loud banging noises of people and children walking and screaming and jumping up and down the staircase behind our King bedroom. Pros: Pool is very nice, In and Out across the street, free breakfast daily 6a-9a, kitchenette is decent, lighting is decent in rooms Cons: Dated, needs refresh, hallway carpets are bland and unappealing, breakfast is cheap and not tasty, lots of spider webs in the window corners in room, room key system doesn't work well. Parking is packed.

Everything is clean and well-maintained. All of the amenities worked as designed and service is friendly. The location is also great -- super close to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. My only criticisms would be trivial things like: minor tearing on carpet and a room that felt a little cramped/generic.

First, the quality of sleep here was amazeballs. The bed was comfortable but those pillows. ALL FOUR of the pillows in my room were supportive throughout the night. That's a rarity in these days, even across the Marriott brand. I had one for my head, one to hug, and two to put my hands between (I think). I was here for a conference and the staff and amenities at the conference were superb. The food in the conference area was good. I had a tofu pad Thai that was so flavorful! I don't know if it's on the restaurant menu, but I'd consider it if it was. The Executive Lounge (or whatever they call it) was always well stocked with either a carafe of coffee at breakfast or an on-demand coffee machine throughout the day. They also had some snacks and a pretty good breakfast for platinum and above members. It's near a plaza that has a Target and a Whole Foods and some other stuff too that's walkable. There's also a "City Center" type place a little further (still walkable) with a variety of spots (brewery, mediterranean restaurant, etc.) This is what every Marriott Hotel should strive to be like. I'm not talking about Courtyards and Fairfield and such, I know they're different. But for a Marriott proper, this is it! I'd stay here again in a titmouse's heartbeat.

Here's the cons: Horrible cell reception and they charge $14.95 per day or something like that. Worst part: I booked a double queen room but they gave us a single king bed room. Thankfully I'm traveling with a good friend so I don't mind being cozy but I don't think that'll fly with the rest of the group that's traveling here for a conference. I know it's happening to a lot of people in my group (I heard them in passing). They told us there's nothing else available. Shady in my opinion to not provide what I paid for. They have coffee in the lobby but promptly takes it away at 9am and tell you that you'll have to purchase it after 9. Ooooh get this... there's a Fiji water with a price tag of $9. Wow. The room wasn't cleaned till past 3pm and we went back downstairs to give them time to finish cleaning. So overall, great looking and good location for shopping and for an event but the amenity is not up to par. That's too bad.

Residence Inn by Marriott San Ramon - No weight bench or free weights. But at least there is a filtered water machine. But it is in need of filter changes.

This is an older model Residence Inn with multiple buildings and apartment-style layouts. I stayed in a second-floor room, which required climbing a flight of stairs--something to keep in mind. The room was just okay. The bed wasn't as comfortable as the one at another Residence Inn I stayed at the night before. The room had a noticeable smell, the bathroom vent didn't seem to work, and the TV remote was very slow and unresponsive. Cleanliness was good, and breakfast was average--nothing special, but enough to start the day. The real standout here was the staff: everyone was friendly, helpful, and professional. Overall, decent for a short stay, but not my top choice.

Bathroom plumbing in one bathroom was in need of some serious repair, so we were moved to a different unit. Our kitchen was overrun with ants one evening. Thankfully it was our last night. The fitness room was a huge disappointment. Not even a dismal set of mismatched garage sale free weights. Just three huge cardio machines in a tiny room Breakfast selections were average. Nothing gluten free if that's your jam. Coffee was decent. Our expectations were higher since we usually stay at the Residence Inn in Pleasant Hill which is a much better experience for fitness and breakfast.
