Had a 3 day stay this week at Hyatt Place and there's some good, some bad, and some really bad. The good is that the hotel is nice and was a steal at 5,000 points/night. Sadly, they just changed their pricing and moving forward it will be 8,000 points. The room was great, very spacious and had a coffeemaker and a fridge, which I always appreciate. Staff was nice... shoutout to Naylah from the front desk overnight shift. The bad is that they advertise 24/7 coffee in the lobby and it wasn't hot every time I tried. On the last day one of the staff offered to make me a fresh coffee from the machine behind the bar. Wish I'd have known they would do that, or maybe she was just being particularly nice? The really bad is that they did not respect my late check-out. As a Hyatt Explorist I get 2pm late check-out, which they let me select on the app when I checked in and confirmed the night before. Well, housekeeping knocked on my door hours before this and woke me up when I had an especially late night working. I had a long day planned the day I checked out and as a result, I was unrested and performed poorly and now my sleep schedule 2 days later is all out of whack. The entire point of a hotel stay is to get a good night sleep, and I didn't get it on the most important night of my stay.

I was very happy with this hotel. One thing that always is very important to me is a cold AC in a comfortable bed and these guys knock it out the park. I'll explain below. Hotel room: like I said above the bed is extremely comfortable here. You can tell they spent the extra dollars to get better bed for their clients. When hotels do this I am a huge fan and I will definitely come back here. Comfortable beds or make it or break it for me. I have checked out of hotels for uncomfortable beds. Well you won't have to do that here because these guys spent the money and they purchased comfortable beds.l for their clients. So thank you for that. The AC was ice cold and I slept like a baby. The shower was nice and fully stocked with all the toiletries that you need. They even have a really good workspace if you need to hook up your laptop and get some stuff done. Like all hotels they don't have much for breakfast but that's understandable as were dealing with this COVID-19. The people working at the breakfast station were extremely nice and made sure we had everything we needed to get back on the road. I will definitely keep this on my go to for hotels in the area. Once you find a good hotel it's always good to remember them because the hassle of having to leave at that hotel is a pain. Thanks again for doing a good job and I will be back soon.

Okay, let's get into it! Location- such a convenient location right of I-35 near cedar park and north Austin. So much shopping and dining nearby. Plenty of parking too. Service- Shout Out to Victoria she was so sweet and nice and had breakfast ready every morning. Taste- breakfast was great for a hotel. The waffles were my absolute favorite they were so good! Pets- the pet area is small for them to do their business. Cons- I paid via Priceline and they tried to charge me for the full stay. Also, they tried to charge me a stay "fee" in the middle of my stay for 2 days, taking some of my birthday money. Thankfully USAA is amazing and their staff was willing to speak with them directly so they could provide them with the refund ID# so I got my money back right away with no delay. They also didn't know how the bar charges show up on your bill so I started to dispute the charges as they don't come up as the hotel name and they couldn't identify the name charging me. However, I did some digging because the bartender was great and I wanted to make sure he got his tip. Found my ticket and was able to confirm all the changes matched the bill. They also were under construction which was only a minor inconvenience for the 1st 2 days. Overall- I enjoyed my stay I stayed for about 5 days. The only hiccups I had was with billing. But the staff was kind and accommodating and resolved the issues quickly. So I didn't deduct any stars.

Given Covid, been about a year since my last stay in a hotel & first time staying at a Hyatt Place. This one is located close to stores/restaurants & about a 20 minute drive to Austin (without traffic) We got the 2 queen beds with sleeper sofa room-high floor. Our room was a decent size & had a mini fridge. Beds were comfortable & bathroom had a sliding door shower vs curtain which was a plus. Room was clean with extra measures still in place (I.e. TV remote in sealed bag) Work spaces in the lobby area which was a nice touch. Fitness room was ok with a couple of Treadmills, bike & elliptical for cardio & dumbbells for weights. Outdoor pool was a decent size but not heated. Full breakfast is back with eggs, bacon, potatoes & French Toast sticks. Check in and check out was seamless with friendly and service minded people throughout. Great value for money and would definitely come back!

With Covid, the menu is MUCH more limited sadly, theres ripe bananas and muffins too that I did not take a picture of. the front desk was friendly.

It is really pretty, beat and clean; the food is really nice!! The room I was in was 515 ! So the beds are soft the bathrooms have lots of stuff for you to use. There is a mini fridge. The cleaners, front desk people, staff were nice and worked efficiently. The pool is clean and cool! 4.7/5.0

Stayed at this hotel over the weekend, coming in for a wedding. This place is conveniently located to I-35, multiple shopping area and restaurants. Place is super clean and the rooms are spacious. Hotel staff are personable and friendly. Great bartender for late-night libations. The only "off-note" was the breakfast. The eggs taste like an egg cake & I tried 4 times to get a piece of toast through the toaster. Wait staff for morning breakfast was slow & didn't pay a lot of attention to when food was running out or keeping it picked up.

The hotel only cleans every other day to cut costs, so you must request a cleaning if you want more often than that. That is exactly what we did. Unfortunately, this is what we saw when we got back to the hotel, see pic below, when we requested a cleaning. The excuse from the receptionist was the hotel was full so they did not have enough housekeepers to clean our room. Then the manager called the next day after we had to send two texts about what happened. He said it happened because the housekeeper saw a do not disturb sign on the door. Either way it is unacceptable, and the fact that they have conflicting stories about the incident is not good. Certainly, if the housekeeper should have come back to clean the room, knowing we specifically requested a cleaning. Other than that the breakfast was lousy--even by complimentary breakfast standards. The omelette tasted rubbery, the oatmeal was soggy and there were very few selctions. It was so bad that very few people were seen at breakfast the whole stay. Finally, the pool was unusable the whole time we were there. Apparently the pool heater broke which would have cost $5000 to fix, so despite the weather being nice, the pool was closed because a multimillion dollar company did not want to spend five thousand to fix a heater and settle the cost with the warranty company later. Despite the problems we had, the manager who checked us out, did not offer us a penny off the bill, very poor service and we would not recommend anyone to stay here.

SHE THEN THREATENED TO CALL THE POLICE ON ME FOR MAKING A CUSTOMER SERVICE COMPLAINT. Mind you, I did literally nothing but make a normal CUSTOMER SERVICE complaint. I am a licensed attorney and a professional and I never even raised my voice. Who the heck calls the POLICE on a guest for making a customer service complaint? I wasn't even onsite anymore at the time. I was talking to Sonya on the phone after SHE CALLED ME. Once she made the threat, I then called the Round Rock PD myself to find out if she actually did file a complaint on me. I am waiting to hear back. Below, I've detailed more information about what happened. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I travel WEEKLY for business and I have NEVER been treated as horribly as I was treated by SONYA and because of her, I will NEVER stay at a Hilton property ever again. This hotel does not honor its service guarantee. When I checked in, I had already registered and PREPAID on my American Express card. Despite that, I was still made to fill out an archaic PAPER registration form because they said the "owner" thinks people will lie and say they never stayed at the hotel. Then, the elevator was FILTHY. The major issue, though, is the service. I was NEVER informed that they do housekeeping every other day. I also requested IN WRITING that I receive extra towels. Despite my request, when I returned to my room after a long work day, my room had NOT been cleaned and I had NOT received towel service. I had to clean my own room, handle my own dirty towels and trash, and was offered a measly 1500 points, then 2000 which I expressed was NOT SATISFACTORY. I was not offered a CLEAN ROOM. I was NOT OFFERED A REFUND FOR THE NIGHT'S STAY AS LISTED ON THE GUARANTEE, AND I was not offered POINTS to cover a night. Instead, I was treated like CRAP. Sonya, the "manager," brushed me off in my face, then faked like she was going to "look into the matter," and called me about an hour later after I had checked out, and said they weren't going to do anything to assist. When I asked had she talked to the person who checked me in, she then HUNG UP IN MY FACE. After Sonya hung up on me, I called the hotel back and asked for another manager or the owner's contact information. Alyssa, the front desk agent, said that I was "creating a problem" and to "please stop calling." Mind you, this was my FIRST AND ONLY call besides when Sonya called me then hung up in my face. I asked how I was creating a problem by asking for service as a hotel guest? Alyssa then said the only person I could talk to was Sonya. I said, great. Please transfer me to Sonya again. I was transferred to Sonya who THREATENED ME and said said she was going to report me to ROUND ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR HARASSMENT. This is insane. I'm a licensed attorney and I did nothing illegal by asking for customer service at a HOTEL. Mind you, I am a professional woman and I was kind and did not raise my voice or treat them poorly at all. But, they were not only rude, they also threatened me with the POLICE. If you are BLACK OR A PERSON OF COLOR, do NOT stay at this hotel or at any HILTON chain. Even if you are not black, I suggest you look elsewhere. I plan to look into filing an action for discrimination. I will also be contacting Hilton's corporate office. They do not honor their guarantees or assist black customers. In addition to contacting corporate, I will be filing a complaint with the Attorney General of Texas for them not honoring the advertised guarantee and then threatening me with the police. This was the WORST hotel experience I've had in my life. Stay FAR AWAY FROM Hilton and if you must stay at a Hilton chain, I suggest you choose any other location except for this one!!!!!
