Booked a reservation through my (expensive) travel rewards card for a two night stay over graduation weekend 2 months in advance. Our flight was delayed and we ended up arriving at the hotel at 1 am. When we arrived, the lady at the front desk said she couldn't check us in for 10 minutes because she had just kicked off an "audit" and the system was unavailable. 15 minutes later she informed us that the hotel was fully booked and there were no rooms available. She also said that since we had booked through "booking.com" (we didn't) that there was no guarantee of a room. Regardless of whether this was the hotel, my credit card, or the hotels fault - I as a customer thought I had a reservation. They called it a "reservation". Exactly, what was reserved? After a half on hour of my credit card company and the hotel trying to figure out where to put us.... it was 2 am and my family was exhausted. I ended up waking up my relatives in the area and they thankfully allowed us to sleep on the floor. Yay. read more

We called and spoke with the front desk before booking to inquire about their pet policy. The lady said that there was no pet charge. Upon checking in, I was told that there is a $100 fee. My reservation was non-refundable so I had to pay the fee, or deal with calling Priceline, which is a nightmare. Crappy service to tell a customer the wrong thing and then charge an extra $100 on a $140 room! Gross location/ loud and dirty and horrible service. I tried calling, and was told they were going to call me back- they never did. read more

We stayed here last night, checking in around 9 pm. Both of us are disabled and first of all, every single handicap parking was unavailable as painters were there with all of their heavy machinery blocking every last accessible parking spots in the front near the entrance. As soon as I get keys, I go inspect hotel rooms to see if they meet my satisfaction. Upon opening the hotel door to room 215, it felt like a convection oven/sauna. The thermostat displayed 73 degrees Fahrenheit, so I made sure to quickly lower the thermostat as low as it would go which was 64 degrees on high cool continuous speed. I gave it some time and patience, however very little cool air came out of the wall unit intermittently. Plus, the thermostat increased to 73! Just beyond miserable especially considering we both suffer from post Covid with shortness of breath exacerbated in stifling hot conditions. I went to the desk inquiring how long should we expect the thermostat to lower, not increase. The gal behind the reception check in counter could not possibly know. She apologized that she would need to call her painter to look at the situation. They had a painter on premises with plastic sheeting covering the windows and vents. Grant you, I was in tremendous exhaustion and pain as my autoimmune issues were flaring up. So long story short, the thermostat never went lower than 73 degrees despite setting it on high continuous 64 cool. It was terribly miserable for my dogs and us. The consolation from the front desk clerk was to take a snack upon checking out. Really?!? How awful. I do not recommend staying here, nor will we ever return. read more

This was doomed from the start. My digital key wouldn't load so I had to check in at the desk. When I got to my room the toilet was running and wouldn't flush. I went back down and they opted to give me a different room instead of calling maintenance. Everything was good with the second room. My first morning I went down for coffee and there wasn't any and there was nobody at the front desk for about 10 minutes. There were a handful of us needing assistance. He eventually came back and offered to fill our cups directly from the brewer. That was a terrible idea. When I came back down for breakfast a bit later there was again no coffee and most of the food was almost gone and it was only 7:30. The second day I had the same issues with the coffee. 4 different times I went down and there was no coffee and hardly and food left. I asked the front desk lady about the coffee and she said that they only had one coffee container and the brewer only brews at half capacity. No wonder there was no coffee! I think this needs to be addressed. The front desk clerks were nice enough and what you could get for breakfast was decent. The location is great though. read more

No complaints. This hotel was just a couple of blocks from where I needed to be early in the morning so very handy for my needs. The room was amazing especially considering the rate. I did request a complimentary upgrade when I booked the room and I'm a rewards member so perhaps that's the reason. Or maybe all the rooms are this nice. It was really more than a room. More like a suite. Every amenity except that the cable only had a few channels and nothing any normal person would want to watch. The room was very comfortable and very well appointed. Staff was ok. No ice machines on the lower floor so you had to go to the front desk to get ice if you are on the 1st or 2nd floor. Breakfast was disappointing. They have a contract to feed kids b'fast who work some place locally. 5:30-6 or so. The b'fast for guests starts at 06:30. It's the same food, left over from 05:30 when I showed up at 06:30. As you can imagine, the food was unimpressive. Lukewarm. They had sausage patties, some kind of an egg frisbee, hash browns and the usual juice, toast and so on. The coffee was absolutely horrid! The b'fast was so disappointing that I just had to knock off a star for that. Hyatts are usually pretty good and this one was fine except as noted. read more

Booked the room through a third party, I booked a double room with two double beds, when I got there all they gave me was a queen room with one queen bed and a pullout sofa. When I went down to ask them why I didn't get the room that I booked through the third party they said it's not a guarantee of the room you get. I had already paid for the room there at the desk and I couldn't get a refund because it would take a couple days to go back on my card. We travel a lot to Boise for sports and we will never be staying at the Hyatt again. My other complaint is they charge you $50 a night for incidentals, most of the hotels we stay at they charge us one fee for the entire stay not per night. Extremely not happy with this Hyatt hotel. My room smelled a bit like cigarettes. The shower feels cramped in the same area as the toilet but the sink is outside and the ceiling seems lower than usual. The shower door has water marks and pink bacteria still left near the edges of the door. There was a small stain on the couch in my room but otherwise the room seemed clean. Since it's next to a major street, the street noise can be pretty loud. The ice machine was near my room so the noise of it was pretty annoying. Nice that they have complimentary coffee and tea at the front. read more

Although the stay itself was fine, I was very disappointed to see a $100 pet fee charged to my account the next day. I only asked if the hotel was pet friendly--I was never informed of any fee, let alone how much it would be. Charging that amount without clear communication feels dishonest and unfair. Guests deserve transparency, especially when it comes to unexpected charges. read more

We booked three rooms at this hotel for a few nights to stay with family, and I had screwed up the reservation when I booked it, so I had the wrong types of rooms and even the wrong checkout date, but the Manager Michael, and the Front Desk clerk Sandi were absolutely wonderful and helped to turn what would have been a disaster into a very pleasant stay. the went above and beyond the call of duty to help us out, and it was very much appreciated. the rooms were all great. it was a very clean and nice hotel, and they make you fell very much at home with their lobby and happy hour area. it's also in a nice area of town and close to lots of restaurants and shopping. so I would highly recommend this hotel and staff! read more

I've stayed here a few times and have not experienced any issues. Close to shopping and fitness centers. Cool little coffee shop right next door and plenty of food options in the area. Have local made snacks for free if you have status with the chain. No hot tub. read more

We stayed here for our visit to the Boise area. We usually stay at Hyatt Place properties because they are affordable, clean and we usually have a nice experience. The Hyatt Place Boise Town Square was a disappointing experience for us. Upon getting to our room we discovered a leak in the drain pipe of our sink that soaked the carpet floor. Staff was prompt to fix the issue which was nice. We have 5 in our family and usually one of the kids will sleep on the sofa sleeper without any complaints. The sofa sleeper here was stained, the mattress was very thin and one of the springs was broken and it was not usable. Instead, they just slept on the sofa. A pillow case had a blood stain on it and a couple of our sheets were also stained. Not a deal breaker, but not what we've come to expect from Hyatt Place. The breakfast bar was OK. Often times, the coffee area was out of creamer or something was empty at the breakfast bar. The staff was friendly and would quickly address the issue. The public bathroom by the lobby was my biggest complaint. It was usually dirty and missing toilet paper or tissue. The trash cans were always full and overflowing. Overall, I would probably recommend staying somewhere else because this location seems old, tired and in need of an update. I would not recommend staying here. read more

The room itself is clean and cute. I was happy when I first walked in. But... I searched everywhere for a tv remote and couldn't find it. So, I picked up the bedside wireless phone and it was dead. So then went to the landline telephone on the desk and it wasn't even connected to anything, just a phone sitting on the desk with no wires. so I called from my personal cell phone to the front desk and was told it would be at least 15 minutes for someone to come up. So glad it wasn't an emergency!! So, over all cute hotel but lacking in follow through. read more

Hotel staff is friendly for the most part. The hotel could be a nice hotel but my room smelt like cigarettes. I was originally told that i had to stay there and they would "fix it." How do you fix the horrible smell??? They put so much air freshner i couldn't even breathe. When I was moved, it took almost an hour to move into another room that had an even more horrible smell. But i was over it. I was hoping to move on. I woke up the next morning to shower, and when I got out, I realized there was a DIRTY TOWEL HANGING ON THE BACK OF THE BATHROOM DOOR! How gross is that! I'm sure people make mistakes and it was obviously missed. The hotel also allows pets. Which are fine when the owners are responsible. However, the very first day, there was urine in the elevator. The breakfast was okay. The employees were definitely friendly. My third night there, a smoke alarm, woke me up at 1130 pm. Everyone eventually found their way out of the room. Until 1am. I was told the next morning that the alarm was set off by a "hot spot." Firefighters really didn't know what triggered it. I was also told the alarm was broken and ended up being shut off manually until they could figure out how to fix it. That's a little scary. I travel every weekend and by far the most horrible luck at this hotel. I also am waiting for the charge of a room upgrade to be removed , but the manager hasnt removed it. I hate to leave negative feedback, but this was a case where I felt it was necessary. I LOVE HIATT and usually have great experiences. read more

If I had written this review when we first arrived it would have been less than favorable. Had a friendly check-in. Was given a first-floor king room...fine, but having traveled for hours, we were ready for a drink and some food. Went to the "bar". We soon learned that the gallery bar really is a place where food and drinks are dispensed only if necessary. The young gals acted like they wanted nothing to do with it. Glasses were less than clean. Husband grabbed bottled water because tap water didn't seem to be an option until someone else achieved some. The wine I wanted was fairly awful. Chicken Caesar salad took at least a half an hour and it was okay. Teeny tiny pieces of chicken that could be uncovered with a little digging. Then the really weird part was they never gave us a check. (had asked our room number though). So there was no way to add a tip or to see if they had charged us the right amount. (yes the charge did get added to our credit card later...but all-in-all a weird way to do business). Fast forward: Nice three-night stay in a very comfortable room. Seriously the most comfy bed of our trip and we had three of them in different cities. We had a fridge, couch...everything was very clean. Decent fitness center. This was just the 3rd place we've ever stayed where housekeeping thanked us for our tips. Breakfast was very much a highlight of our stay (and we're not breakfast people). There were different hot options each day, plus fruit, cereal, etc. I had a different hot egg dish each day and loved that tabasco was available for kicking it up. Husband was happy with his breakfast choices. Checkout was also friendly. So, don't expect the usual hotel bar-type atmosphere, and enjoy this hotel for what it is. Clean, comfortable, and user friendly. TIP: There's a World Market next door for all your wine needs. Much better than the lobby options. read more

Very pleased with our 2 night stay at this Hyatt Place Hotel. Convenient location within walking distance of the Towne Center Mall and many restaurants. The room ( 1 King, 1st floor) was large and comfy. The shower had strong water pressure with a rain shower type shower head. There is a mini fridge, coffee maker and work area with a desk and lamp. A breakfast is available every morning with your basic items. The food area was clean and up to date. There is an airport shuttle free of charge, just give them advanced notice. read more

The only thing I will recommend this hotel is they have spacious room with two queens and sofa bed. Here is what I think they need impreove, the bed is awful that sinks in the middle, you will hear noise all night long from old AC units. They have tiny bath towels and front desk doesn't have tooth paste, there is no drinking water to provide in the room as well. Overall you paying 250 $ for a 100 value hotel. read more

The service here is absolutely amazing with several receptionists being really kind people. The hotel also has a free shuttle that can take you to the downtown area. Hotel also has a wide righty of breakfast options with various fruit juices drinks and fruits and oatmeal and others. The room I stayed in was also pretty nice with a couch that accompanied the king bed. Restroom was also really clean. I also utilized the gym and there was a set of dumbbells, treadmills and other leg machines. Plus a bench. read more

Exceptional customer service... The staff, even those in training were competent and more than helpful. Samantha & Bree at the front desk, Brittany on room service all to be commended. Of special mention, the assistant general manager, Mr. Micky Sullivan; is at the top of his game. Proficient in all aspects and requests, he made me feel like I was staying at a friends house as opposed to a hotel stay. I was there for a full week on business and noticed much of their daily operation. Simply put, when you see a member of their staff stop and take the time to pick up a piece of litter off the outside area or hallway floor; you know they take pride in their work. I travel to Bosie often on business and have stayed at several hotels throughout the Treasure Valley. Hilton Spectrum, Marriott and up in Eagle. Stayed here this past weekend while visiting family. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful with no wait to check-in. Everything was clean and my room was very spacious. I wish I would've taken pics! There was a small sectional, large tv, a desk for working, a small refrigerator and a great walk-in shower. I was very happy with both the bed and the shower. Also, there was no noise! None. It was wonderfully quiet. I slept peaceful! The free breakfast included eggs, potatoes, toast, bagels, cereal and fruit. Breakfast is served from 6-9am in the lobby. Plus 24-hour room services! Being from Vegas that was a nice amenity to have! It's also located right next to the mall so there's plenty of restaurants and fast food nearby. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. read more

However I was in so much pain that I literally went to the chiropractor at 9 am in the morning. They definitely need new pillows and a new mattress, this has never happened to me before. Whenever I travel to Boise, I always stay at the Hyatt Place. The staff is friendly as can be, it's clean, they have self check-in/check-out, they offer a great free breakfast, free wireless, and always accommodate me with where I want my room located, which is usually on the first floor. I think the only possible downside is that it's not walking distance to downtown Boise if you're looking for bars or restaurants. Although it's a very short drive, so if you have a car this shouldn't pose a problem. The upside is that it's in a very quiet street with no traffic. read more

BE WARNED! Booked thru Capital One travel for 2 double rooms. Upon check-in we were given one double room and one king room. We were told since we booked thru a third party site that our choice of room type could not be guaranteed and they could not accommodate our reservation since the hotel was full. I have never in my life encountered this, our confirmation clearly stated 2 double rooms, to accommodate 5 people each. Was told we would be contacted by a manager, but of course this never happened. I'm just going to start out by saying this. I'm still mad 2 weeks later my room didn't have a bathtub!!!! I think this is something that should he mentioned when booking the room. Traveling with a toddler and no bathtub, not fun. Now that is out of the way. The beds are comfortable, headboard was annoying as can be though. Every single time either my husband or myself moved it was loud and woke one or both of us up. The room itself was very large and had lots of room. I very much appreciated the hook ups for the TV so my toddler could watch his movies from the laptop. Shower sucked. Breakfast was awesome. Pool was okay. Love the happy hour at the bar and the fact they have a good selection of wines including local ones. The best thing about this hotel, is the location. Had to stay here overnight to pick up a car the next morning from a dealership nearby. Guy that checked us in was very friendly and lobby was decent. Room was alright, a little mold in the shower and room felt a bit dated, but bed was super clean and I could tell the sheets had been washed. Toilet wouldn't flush properly, even after serviced by maintenance twice. Maintenance left standing water all over floor both times, after literally showing us how much paper to use. (3 squares.) We were finally moved to another room after requesting and coincidentally another party was on the phone requesting another room as well. Our new room smelled like someone had smoked in it earlier and the a/c unit made an odd sound. Three people with one bed and no wash cloths. No coffee maker or do not disturb sign. read more

I wanted to give five stars but just can't. The hotel is nice and clean. I absolutely loved that. However, the first night I realized my AC unit howled with the wind outside. It was loud and annoying. It was even worse when I turned the unit off. The second night after a long day, I made it back the room and the cleaning staff decided that 1800 was a good time to scrub the carpet in the hallway in front of my room. This went on for an hour or so... I could not concentrate while writing reports because of the noise. Other than those two issues which I encountered this place is great! The staff are all friendly. We stayed here for over a week, (since we were waiting for our house to close). We have 6 people. I liked this hotel because we can stay in one room, (definitely saves on the cost if we had to book 2 rooms per day). The staff are incredibly helpful! Super nice and accommodating and easy to talk to. The food in the morning was terrific! It helped on our expenses since we were there for quite a few days. The pool was pleasant and clean, (too bad it didn't have a jacuzzi but you can't win them all). I would stay here again. I also look for other Hyatt Places if we travel because I don't have to book 2 rooms. When you're staying for days and days, it certainly helps. The snacks, (for your convenience in the lobby), are ridiculously over priced however. In my opinion, just go to Target and get snacks. read more

My family stays at hyatt hotels whenever possible, this location is as good as any hyatt hotels. The staff is more than nice and accommodating, the rooms are clean and comfortable. I like that each king room has a hide away bed in it. This makes it great for my family. They also serve a nice breakfast, you have the option of some good warm food and juices it adds to the value of the room. We will continue to stay at the hyatt because we feel it is a good value and a great room read more

Excellent Customer Service!!! I have stayed at this location a few times in the past, and have always been satisfied with the hotel and service received. Very clean, nice amenities, friendly staff, good location (close to local shopping and dining). During my last stay, I filled out a survey and had a few 'suggestions' for improvement. I didn't expect any response, or at best I expected an automated return email. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a personal response from the properties GM! The response not only addressed my specific feedback, but they actually thanked me for providing the input so that they could improve their customer's experience. This 'extra mile' type of service will definitely keep me coming back to their property in the future. read more
