Meh. It was a relatively comfortable bed near a convention center event that was booked by someone coordinating the event. Not impressed. Small. No parking except some very expensive slots in property. Conveniently located near a men's club and bars and billiards if you are into that kind of thing. :( People were nice enough, but cannot recommend. This one is essentially located right by the convention center and walking distance of everywhere you need to go, but at a fraction of the price of the bougie and high-end Hyatt and other Marriotts. Great people working in the lobby and of course the WYZ bar is always on point. People always complain about the size of the room- look at the pic- all that you need is a decent size mirror, a bed, and a nice hot shower! Will stay here again! read more

This hotel for most of our Denver stay was good but not outstanding to deserve 5 stars. Location wise it was great with plenty to do around and even more within reasonable walking distance. Great location for those with events at the convention center! Also the staff we dealt with were excellent especially the women who was able to get us checked in earlier than expected. The room is similar to other aloft properties we have stayed at. Not anything fancy or awful in anyway just middle of the road. Two reasons for the knocking down of a star would have to be as follows. First being the noise from the road almost every night (yes I get it happens with being in a massive city but other similar places have not been as bad). Then second being the fire alarm that went off during part of our stay. I get that things happen and the staff was nice in apologizing for the mistake (not sure exactly what happened), but still annoying as we were just getting ready for some extra sleep. Overall solid choice for a hotel in downtown Denver, but you may find a better option. read more

We always stay at Marriott properties and this is the first time we were disappointed. We had two rooms both located I corners of the building. The internet did not work in either room,the phone did not work and the TV received limited channels. Although we left early , maid service had not cleaned our room when we returned. She finally showed up when the kids were napping so we told her to just change the towels. The manager offered to change rooms but it would have been too much of a hassle. The kids went down to the lobby to watch tv and use the internet Also the breakfast is usually really good at other Alofts not so here. The cinnamon bun wasn't good nor the Chorizo wrap. The wrap was like cardboard and hardly any filling and I think it was $9.95. We come to Denver twice a year and we will be using a different hotel for sure. Of course when you are at the start of your vacation, you don't want to start it out like this! read more

I wish I could give this place a higher star review because I was actually really looking forward to staying there in the future. I unfortunately made a reservation and canceled literally not even 12 hours later due to unfortunate circumstances. So I called the front desk for assistance and just reassurance that I would be reimbursed and to get a confirmation email. I spoke with the front desk receptionist Ashley, who was very short and rude and hung up on me twice. Very unfortunate customer service which left a bad impression and made me not to want to book here in the future. read more

To start - the hotel is clean and directly across the street from the convention center. The front desk folks were all really great and helpful even with changing an accommodation for us. Benji was especially sweet and super helpful. The problem is, I left my nice headphones (Beats Studio Pros) in the room after check out and the cleaning staff did not report them being left in the room. They have an online portal system for lost items and it was still not reported. This is very disappointing. I would have loved to stay there again for the next conference for my team and I, but that will not be the case. Very sad that the cleaning staff would think left items means it's their's now. I stayed two nights. It's a smaller boutique type hotel. Nice staff. Not a full on menu of amenities but enough to get by. Staff is super friendly and efficient. Room was comfortable spotless not necessarily large but fine for my needs. I do like the aloft brand because they are progressive. For example, there are no plastic water bottles provided. Instead they give you a glass carafe and you can go to a water dispenser on each floor to get your water. That works for me fine. I did not drive, prices for parking on sites are pretty much in line with all of the other hotels in the area. The location is good. There are a number of Marriott properties on 15th Street. All in all I was happy with my staying would definitely be there again. One thing I loved was that my room was very very quiet. read more

First off, the staff here is super friendly, the lobby is inviting, and the property is clean. They have a hip vibe and a fun bar that stays open pretty late, lobby games and great gathering/working spaces, and the rooms themselves are very spacious, but I think the good things kind of end there. The decor in the rooms is dark and drab. Natural light is ok in the early morning but you lose a lot as the day passes due to the other high rises and the lighting in the room is not very bright, making the space feel closed in. I was on the 4th floor and the windows did nothing to mitigate the road noise, and in the early hours of the morning it sounded like a series of drag races were happening both nights, and in the morning I awoke to the construction sounds. The shower felt old and had no pressure to speak of, even when adjusting the head to the massage setting, so showering wasn't very enjoyable. The sink area was adequate and had the best light in the whole room. The AC cooled well, but it was set so it would go on and off in close cycles as the temp changed and it was very loud. I probably should've set the fan to on so only the cooling would kick on and off to avoid this situation. The breakfast offered by the hotel was disappointing. I know this brand isn't known for that but when you have pretty pictures of your items on display, I'd hope they'd at least be correct. Each morning when I ordered it felt like a slight inconvenience. The person preparing the food didn't take any pride in what they served. My breakfast sandwich was missing all of the toppings and the burrito I ordered was filled with mushy eggs, while it was supposed to have chorizo and a few other ingredients that I couldn't detect. All in all, this hotel is ok. I don't think I'd choose to stay again, as there are several other with similar rates nearby that are better. read more

We were greeted with warm smiles, complimentary drinks and home baked cookies. No other property has ever gone to that length to make us feel so comfortable and at home. This was my first time in Denver for a conference, and staying at Aloft Downtown Denver did not disappoint! From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff impressed me with their helpful, down-to-earth, and "roll with it" attitude. Despite a couple of technical hiccups--like a non-functioning credit card machine and misplaced luggage tags--their spirit of service and quick improvisation made me feel well taken care of. The downtown lobby was a highlight--hip, vibrant, and always buzzing with energy. It set a great tone for my stay. The room itself was compact but thoughtfully designed, with a modern, intentional setup that I really appreciated. The DRYBAR products were a luxurious touch, and they smelled fantastic! Although the hotel is city center, they go the extra mile to ensure comfort with complimentary earplugs, eye masks, and a special "Dream On" tea in their 24-hour store. These little details, combined with an incredibly comfortable bed, made it surprisingly easy to fall asleep--even far from home. Stayed here while in town for work, it was a short overnight stay, I chose this place mainly because of the location near the convention center. It's like a block or so from the convention center so you may want to look into this place as well. Check-in was easy, gave them my particulars and they checked me in. They didn't have the room type I originally booked but no big deal. Upon entering the room, it looked nice, clean, tidy and it was good for one night. I got the 2 queen beds kind of room. View was of the alley, decent work desk to work from, tv was fine, shower was hot & nice, sink area had good room, a closet to hang your stuff and dresser to put your stuff. All in all, the room was fine. Bed was comfy, pillows were ok, Wi-Fi was working well, I was good to go. Decor was fine, kind of like IKEA furniture with making good use of space, didn't hear any amorous tourist next door so I slept pretty good. Down stairs lobby has the WXYZ Bar, I did get a drink there and the bartender gal was nice. There's also an area where they sell snacks etc. I didn't partake in the complimentary continental breakfast but it looked pretty basic and ok I guess. Good sized lobby area to work from or meeting your group. Staff was ok, not much interaction with front desk except check-in/check-out. Not sure of their regular prices as my rate was through the convention/trade show I was a part of. A lot of hotels in downtown, this worked out well for me when going back & forth to convention center, meeting at restaurants for meetings, near 16th St mall to catch the free bus, easy to meet me coworkers that were staying in other hotels, my overnight stay was uneventful which is totally fine with me. read more

My stay at the aLoft Denver Downtown was generally uneventful but for two moments of significant sensory shock and discomfort. First, in the middle of the night I walked into the bathroom and holy crap the stone tile was cold. It was 20 degrees outside and I swear this floor felt even colder. Like an ice pan at a Thai ice cream place or a rink fit for ice dancing or hockey. Yikes. Maybe the zoo had extra tile from the polar bear enclosure. Tread carefully with bare feet. Second, it could have been a prior guest or maybe the hotel housekeeping service heard I was coming, but in the early morning I stumbled back over the cold tiles to the shower with my PJs still on, leaned in to the shower to turn on the water and promptly got sprayed right in the face. The ample-sized fixture was pointed directly at the shower door - exactly where I was standing. I tried to evade the spray but despite my stretching to reach the handle I eventually had to jump all the way in to turn it off. The jokester landed a direct hit! My jammies were soaked, water was everywhere and it took multiple towels to clean up the wet. I was seriously pist. On my way out I reported the travesty to the front desk but the clerk and the maintenance guy he was talking to just laughed. "Bet that woke you up quick"! Yeah, a big sarcastic ha ha to you guys too. Otherwise the hotel is fine but unexceptional. read more

Arrived at 1 am for them to tell me they overbooked and were sending me to a different hotel. They said they would cover the cost of the Lyft ride to the other hotel because again, it was 1 am downtown in a city i don't know and then they argued with me about that later. The location is awful, all the construction makes getting around very difficult. Room was ok, they didn't come clean it a few times while I was there. read more

Easy check in, late checkout given to members with status without delay (unlike Marriott properties who ask you to "ask again the morning of check out"). Clean and great location. Got exceptional service from Dan who works the valet. The uber arrived at the wrong location and he went out to the cold and looked for the car on the side streets. He then directed the car to the garage - the correct uber pick up spot. He noted he did not like guests walking around in the cold looking for their uber pickups. Highly recommended. read more

My room had black out curtains for a restful day when I was a little under the weather and rated in to rest. Location was excellent. Walking distance to plenty of shops and restaurants. One of my favorite hotels in the whole-wide-world! The Aloft in Downtown Denver is absolutely beautiful! It's one of the new hotels in Downtown Denver and is definitely hip and stylish! Located a block away from all the different must-see landmarks such as the Convention Center and the 16th Street Mall, this hotel is a wonderful walking location. 15-20 min train ride from the Airport. I was able to get here with no problem. I stayed here during my weekend trip for Cinco de Mayo and it was fabulous! I checked in around 12 PM and was extremely tired as I took a 5 AM flight that morning. I was greeted by the lovely Tiffany and Katie and they were absolutely phenomenal with the customer service. I had remembered Tiffany as I booked my reservations a couple of months previously through a 3rd party and called to ensure that I would have 2 beds, so it was amazing to be able to put a name to a face, and it was so refreshing to see that Tiffany provided the same welcoming services in person just as on the phone. I was able to check in to my room early from the young ladies and I was so appreciative of this! 5 stars for just being accommodating during my stay. The layout of the rooms was fantastic! As stated previously, the hotel has a funky, hip vibe to it. It offers a trendy décor and eclectic ambiance. The rooms were very clean and spacious for two people. We had a back view looking over to the parking garage, but that didn't bother us much as we were only in our room to sleep. I enjoyed looking at all the floor murals that are painted by a local artist! Very cool layout. Honestly, I am very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and the rooms. They have a bar and have a happy hour, but we didn't take advantage of the bar as we spent most of the day hanging outside and being a tourist. I did notice that most of the visitors resembled a young hip crowd! Let me also inform visitors that this hotel also gives complimentary water bottles. This hotel is a fabulous addition to the City! I had a great experience staying 3-4 nights at this hotel a few months back in the midst of single-digit weather. Good thing there were double doors at each entrance. My experience from checking in to checking out was fantastic. The staff members I encountered were not only nice, but they were upbeat and funny. The room itself isn't big, but I found it just right for me since I was attending a conference nearby. One of the features I enjoyed was the efficiency of space. A mini fridge was tucked under the sink. Small shelf and storage were tucked behind the sink. A sliding door separated the sink and shower/toilet. The king size bed was very comfortable. Not sure if this is a feature of all Aloft Hotels, but I liked the option of not having housekeeping come and in exchange, you can get a $5 voucher to use in their small pantry store next to the lobby. Environmentally friendly and I enjoyed the snacks. I'd happily stay at this Aloft Hotel next time I'm visiting Denver. read more

Can you call a hotel adorable? Because Aloft is just that. I was headed to Denver for a work thingy, but wanted to explore the city first so booked Aloft for a one night stay, before the craziness of the week started. Unfortunately the scene in DT Denver is pretty bland and touristy, but Aloft keeps the imagination going with bright colors, cozy rooms, and that sleek modern look that seems to popping up everywhere. The location is great with awesome walk-ability to food, drinks and some of that sweet Denver cheeba. The rooms aren't huge, but they offer a lot of character with 8-bit design pillows and a lot of graphic art on the walls and hallways. My room didn't have much of a view as it faced a courtyard that looked into other rooms, but the windows are super tinted so the creep factor is greatly reduced, which is good because the huge comfy bed is right next to the window. The only real complaint here is how dark the room is, I only had a desk light and three soft bed lights, so in order to brighten up the place I had to turn on the bathroom light, but if the light in the bathroom was on this meant the fan was on too. Pretty annoying after the first 10 minutes of mildly loud humming. The lobby's has a full bar and breakfast nook for hungry travelers, along with a pool table to pass the time while waiting for your Uber to arrive. The people who work here are also super bubbly and inviting, so you feel more like you're staying at friends large "hip" house than hotel. Casual customer service and big smiles as you walk-in or check out, Aloft I think I'm in A-like with you. read more

Location: good spot about equal distance from Larimer Square and Civic Center Park and very close to 16th St Mall. Pricing: very reasonable Lobby: fun/trendy vibe with a wxyz bar that's open really late :) Also, with a basic store to pick up essentials. Pool table and games to check out are a super nice touch. Room: basic but clean and comfortable. Small bathroom and shower. Bed is good size and flat screen TV is wall mounted in front of bed. Small desk to get work done if there on business, etc. Staff: overall very helpful and friendly. Definitely a place to stay again in Denver. read more

I stay in hotels about 100 nights a year, maybe a bit more. I definitely favor Marriott properties, and have reached their Platinum level consistently for the past five or six years. In fact, I believe I requalified for Platinum at this stay. I have "status" at multiple hotel chains, but steer business Marriott's way whenever I can. I used Marriott's mobile app to check in the day before my arrival. I showed up at the time I projected only to find my room wasn't ready. After a long flight,I had to cool my heels in the lobby for about 40 minutes before I could check into my room. I really, really like to check in upon arrival to unpack, decompress, and rest if I can, or change clothes and head off to my meeting or whatever brought me to town. I was told "it wouldn't be long, there are only three people ahead of you." I absolutely understand that having Platinum status doesn't make me any better or more important than any other traveler or guest, but it does demonstrate my loyalty towards Marriott, and part of that bilateral loyalty typically means getting expedited service, and that's part of why I choose Marriott first. Here, it didn't seem to help. I wasn't given the option of a points bonus or breakfast, and I didn't even receive the perfunctory, "Thank you for your loyalty as a Platinum member." When I logged into the internet in my room, I was asked some survey questions. I conveyed my disappointment in the check in process, and to the property's credit, someone came to my room with a nice card, some snacks, and other tidbits as an apology. I felt that was an unnecessary but much appreciated gesture that achieved a nice customer save. Then came my second night. The City of Denver apparently thought it'd be a great idea to run a truck back and forth on the street in front of the hotel with the seeming intent to shave about a quarter inch of concrete off the street. This took from about 9PM until approaching 5 or 6AM. As a result, I got literally no sleep. Not happening. The incessant noise of this road work made sleep impossible. As a frequent - almost constant - business traveler, I sleep heavily, and can sleep in almost any conditions. But my sleeping skills weren't up to the task here. No sleep. Nothing. Nada. The street work was not the fault of the hotel. Not warning incoming guests in advance, though, was inexcusable. I would have stayed elsewhere, but returned to the Aloft on other trips. Instead, they've lost my future business. read more

I was set up here through the conference I attended. I probably would have loved this place about 10 years ago, with its dorm-like vibe. Bright colors everywhere, mainstream pop played in the elevators. But the shower had a sulfuric like smell to it, i think it was the water (which might not have been helped) and the ventilation in the room was really suboptimal as well. They also had soap dispensers in the shower for shampoo/body soap, which is a personal pet peeve of mine. The housekeeping staff did a great job and even went to the length of wrapping up my hair straightener and putting it away for me. Which I did not expect. Everything was clean and tidy upon returning to the room at night. The staff were all younger and provided good service. The overall vibe of this hotel is geared toward a younger/different crowd, in my opinion. As a traveling adult looking for an oasis after a long and busy day, I wouldn't stay here again. read more

This is literally the definition of "meh" as far as hotels go. Stayed here while attending a company Christmas party nearby. Checked in via the Marriott app since I am a Bonvoy member. Was sent a mobile key, but no other information so stopped at the front desk. The person working was just a "meh" worker. Clearly no hospitality training at all. Nice, but "meh". Said that he didn't know why they even sent mobile keys because they didn't work most of the time anyway - told him I'd pass that along to Marriott. Gave me keys and I made my way to the room. Walked in. Fairly standard room. Walk right into what is part of the bathroom area, that's a little odd. Spacious bedroom area. But every area is poorly laid out even though they are laid out the best way based on the room design. Sounds odd, I know, but whoever designed the wall layouts for these rooms did a really bad job. TV remote on/off button didn't work. No biggie, just there for one night. TV seemed pretty small based on the distance from the bed. The towels were all located in the water closet, including the hand towels one needs when they wash their hands at the sink outside the water closet. Makes for some awkwardness when one is not staying in the room alone and someone else is in the WC. Walls are paper thin, as are the windows. All outside sounds basically sound like you are on a balcony and you can hear everything in adjacent rooms. Will likely never stay here again unless there is some odd reason I need to stay in that specific area again and there are no other options. Not bad. Not good. Just "meh". read more

It's a good location, but I can't say I'm too impressed with the hotel. It's safe to say I won't ever stay here again upon my return to Denver. The only reason why we booked at aloft was because it was a late reservation and this was the only place with an availability near where we wanted to stay. The room size was tiny, perhaps one of the smallest hotel rooms I've seen, and the pool was even smaller. To top it off, we were given the wheel chair accessible room, which is fine, but whoever designed the bathroom, didn't account for the flooding bathroom anytime someone took a shower. It was quite an inconvenience for us to mop up the flood in our bathroom. read more

Cute, modern boutique hotel in DT Denver. We stayed the weekend here on our trip last weekend. Centrally located and walkable to many great restaurants and bars. The front desk staff is lovely and the amenities are divine. They have free flavored water 24/7 and a cute little snack area you can buy for cheap anytime. I went down for a bag of chips and a Pellegrino at 2am! :) The bar is also nice and have happy hour with food choices. Best part - they keep it open until one! The rooms were clean and nice, but on the small side (we stayed in a standard King). There also was no tub, only a shower. Those cold Denver nights call for a hot bubble bath!! They did however provide above and beyond amenities like earplugs, makeup wipes and seriously delectable smelling soaps and lotion. We would stay again! read more

The hotel location was convenient to walking or Uber-ing to Larimer Square and a million other places downtown. Rooms were adequate, clean and had great water pressure, the downside was that we were placed in a room right across the street from a major construction site. Housekeeping left ear plugs which made sense given that jackhammering and pylon drilling started shortly before 7:00am. The other gripe was a super bright wall thermostat, sounds trivial but given that is was a really dark room with blackout shades, we had to drape a sock over it. read more

It's never a good sign when you open the door to your room and find three sets of disposable ear plugs. The Broncos won tonight so those ladies are dancing harder than ever and there's no sign of this ending-we can even Shazam the songs through the walls. Ugh. read more

I really loved the feel of this modern hotel in the heart of Downtown Denver. It's within walking distance of many great restaurants and places to visit if you're on vacation. The room we stayed in was set with the bed facing an open window looking out to downtown. It was a very beautiful but urban view. They provide ear plugs in the room to cancel out any city sounds but I honestly didn't have any problem with noise. I could barely here any outside noise from the room so I didn't find it necessary. Plan ahead for parking. There are parking lots surrounding the building that you can pay to park in. They didn't feel very secure though so my friend opted to valet the car through the hotel, which cost over $30 per night. read more

Hotel was great! Attended a Trade Show and the hotel is conveniently located 1 block away from Convention Center where everything is walking distance!! Restaurants, Target, and CVS. The guys that work here from the front desk to the Valet, very polite helpful and accommodating. This hotel strives to make your stay a great one!!! BUT, Unfortunately they have a young lady named Alexis that really needs to find another job, she's accomodating (or rather she thinks she is) but her attitude is just alarming and uncalled for. She's the type that if you ask her something, she has an answer before you even speak that seems so negative. After my Trade Show I needed to send a box UPS, the front desk said UPS delivers all the time and that they would gladly accept my box and assured me it would go out. (This was early Tuesday morning). I fly home and track my package on Wednesday to find out it hadn't been picked up from the hotel yet and call the hotel and get Alexis!! She sarcastically advised me that If I wanted a package sent out I should have called for a pick up. I had to explain to her that I would have if the front desk would not have been so gracious in accommodating me. Her attitude ruins it for the whole Front Desk Experience!! I hated only giving 2 Stars because other than that I would have given 5 stars UPDATE: MY PACKAGE WAS NEVER SENT OUT A WEEK LATER AND I HAD TO WAIT AND FIND THAT OUT AFTER LABOR DAY WEEKEND!! I ENDED UP CALLING UPS MY SELF TO HAVE THEM PICK UP MY BOX. VERY DISAPPOINTED, DISCOURAGING AND ESPECIALLY UNPROFESSIONAL! Once I left this Hotel and checked out any professionalism and accommodation was totally thrown out the window. Not a great way to treat your guest!! EVEN IF ALEXIS IS/WAS THE MANAGER!! I had an excellent stay at the aloft. Convenient to the Denver convention center they offer nice size rooms that are modern. The hotel itself is everything you would expect at an aloft. The staff was friendly and attentive. The rooms were kept clean and they offer a safe and mini refrigerator. The nice flat screen TV and firm bed was also very nice to have once I returned to rest. I have no problem staying here again if I'm ever attending a convention. read more

Checked in about 10 pm. The room and hotel was super clean. Love the aesthetics. Bed was super comfy. Nice staff. Forgot to take pics! No vending machines to grab late night snacks, but receptionist recommended GoPuff app for delivery. They provide ear plugs because downtown tends to be loud, but i slept perfectly fine without them. Doesn't smell like animals at all! Loved the big mirror the size of the bathroom door. Very mod. read more

Upon checking we were greeted by Stephanie at the front desk! Most of the time the check in is a hassle but Stephanie made it so easy! She was super nice and told us about a bunch of things to do in the area! It was really a pleasure checking into the hotel with her! It's not to often you find people with a smile on their face and take the time to explain things to you about the city your visiting! Who ever reads this you have a great employee who takes pride in her job and it shows! We will be defiantly staying at the aloft only just because of how amazing she was checking in!! read more

The room itself is fine- nothing fancy; however the walls were extremely thin. You could hear every conversation and movement of the person in the occupying room. Beware of the parking associates. When we arrived, we were told that valet was our only parking option and cost was $22. Upon receiving our credit card charge, it ended up being $44. Apparently this is my fault according to the associate I spoke to who mentioned I should have read it online. My apologizes for believing the parking attendant and missing it online. Great service from Marriott- a brand I thought I could trust. It's not the money, but rather the principle. read more
