This spot has turned out to be a great location to attend a convention nearby at the Sheraton. Our room is on the 14th floor and has a BIG picture window with a great view of the city and the mountains. The room is also large and comfortable. There is a smallish "living room", a great TV, two comfortable beds and the bathroom is large and there is plenty of hot water. This hotel has a small pool, which is bathtub warm and a small laundry room for guests, which has already come in handy. This hotel also offers a complimentary breakfast which had been consistently solid, with eggs, sausage, waffles and nice fresh fruit in the morning (watermelon and pineapple), plus coffee, cereal and all kinds of beverages. Overall great spot, I would DEFINITELY recommend. read more

My stay at the Hyatt place was as expected. Staff were engaging, attentive, professional and responsive. The facility however requires more cleanliness. The entry doors was smeared with finger prints as was the glass coffee table in the sitting area. The windowsills had dead moth carvasses and candy wrappers. Upon entering the hotel in the evening, the curtains were drawn but nobody took the time to remove these items. Additionally every piece of furniture (lounging chairs, couches and office chairs) are tattered and worn. Tables are chipped and in need of repair/replacement. The fabric upholstered sofas and rug/carpeted areas were dirty and stained. I know in today's market every industry is short on staff but this is unacceptable and unsanitary. We stayed at the Hyatt after attending a Christmas party at the Bronco Stadium for the oilfield and gas industry, and it ended up being a great choice. It was only about a seven-minute Uber ride from the event, which was super convenient. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff were incredibly friendly from the moment we arrived. We used valet, and that process was smooth as well. Our room was on the 17th floor (1710), and wow--the views were amazing! We could see both the mountains and the city, and it made the stay feel extra special. The room itself was spacious and spotless when we walked in. The bed and pillows were super comfy--we slept like babies. The shower was great too, though I do wish the bathroom were a little bit bigger, but it wasn't a dealbreaker. Breakfast the next morning was better than expected for a buffet style. They had eggs, potatoes, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, fresh fruit, and plenty of juice and drink options. The dining area and hotel overall were clean and well taken care of. All in all, we had a really good stay and would definitely stay here again! read more

Had a great stay. Had a last minute check in needing a rest on a long road trip with my dog. Easy to check in, $35 late check-out, complimentary breakfast, extremely clean rooms, and friendly, helpful staff. No charge for emotional support pets, I had his ID card. I had a king suite with a mountain view. King suite had a pull out L-shaped sofa bed. I'm not familiar with downtown Denver at all but the area seemed very clean and safe as well. Spent two nights here with my husband and several friends to attend the Broncos versus Packers game. Hotel is conveniently located 1 mile from the stadium and walking distance to shops. The hotel is very clean, modern with great maid service. Bar food is just OK and unfortunately understaffed. Valet parking is an additional $65 a night, so park elsewhere! The snack bar is expensive, one small bottle of apple juice and two small packs of Reese's were $14! read more

We stayed 3 days for a basketball tournament. Overall the staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable, However, early check-in of $35 wasn't needed and a money grab. If the room is available why charge the guest? Parking charge of $64 per day was excessive for guests. Breakfast was basically the same all 3 days for us. Seeking a hotel close to the Convention Center for my annual GABF downtown stay-cation Hyatt Place checked all the boxes and then some this year. Location, location, location. This was clearly a very high priority for me. I was seeking a place to rest my head, it was a must to be in walking distance from the Convention Center. Hyatt Place fit the bill and then some. My room even had a view of the convention center! Lovely. It's also super centrally located to take in tons of other downtown attractions. After a long four hours spent pouring beer, you really need a soft bed. Dare I say, this was the best hotel bed I think I've ever slept in? I know it's a bold statement, but it's true! In all honestly, the whole room was plush and cozy. It was well broken up into a sleeping and living/hangout area. Everything was well-thought-out. All the space was used well and maximized both the room and the view. I could easily see myself staying here for an extended stay. They offer up a bar in the lobby, a wonderful continental breakfast that varies entrées daily, pool, workout room, and so much more! They even offered to hold my bags while I wrapped up my last shift over at the convention center. Hyatt Place nailed it! I'll gladly be looking into booking next year's downtown stay-cation here. **Pro Tip: They do offer an onsite valet, but it's a little pricey. I'm a Marriott girl but dang, Hyatt pulling out all the stops at this location! Not only do they have a free breakfast buffet but they have a spread that will make anyone happy with a rotating entree selection. When I dined they have chorizo, chilaquiles along with more standard American fare plus the drip coffee was flowing endlessly! The room was surprisingly quiet for being right by the convention center and denver hijinx and the blackout curtains were a life saver. Maybe it was me working GABF right before, maybe it was the blackout curtains, we will never know. But I do know I got one of the best nights of hotel sleep I've had in awhile. They have a room you can check your bags in to if you need to check out but want to meander around downtown. Staff was courteous and happy to help plus in true Denver fashion, pups are allowed! I'm not sure if I'm ready to turn into a Hyatt girl but seriously considering it after my stay here! read more

This place is fine enough. It wasn't my favorite but I didn't hate it either. The staff was cordial. There is no room service. It's not necessarily about using it but I really like the option of it. Sometimes I'm willing to pay the 18% mark up & the 8% delivery fee just to not have to leave my room. Yes, Uber eats & more deliver but they aren't supposed to go past the lobby. I will say one night one of my deliveries made it up to the room next door to mine, obviously a simple wrong room mistake, but knowing they weren't even supposed to be up there & were supposed to stop in the lobby was concerning to me. A room key is needed to access floors going up. Obviously, someone let the delivery person in, up, & off at my floor. I was really bothered by this. There was a sense of violation here & not necessarily feeling as safe as I had prior to that breech. The grab & go is a diabetics worst nightmare. Prices are as expected. The rotating buffet/continental breakfast was OK. They had some pretty decent sausage patties one morning but never saw them again. They had chicken sausage patties that were so dry I thought they might be a coaster. The scrambled eggs were hard scrambled and not hot. I felt a bit like Goldilocks in my two beds. It was just me but I did sleep in both beds over my week here. Sometimes I even slept in both beds in the same night. The pillows were either hard or too flat so that when you stacked them to get the proper height it wasn't comfortable. The tv sitch was a bit weird but I did appreciate not having it always start on the "hotel channel." I couldn't check out via the tv, not sure if it was a quirk, broken, or my impatience. The ice machine on my floor was broken but no one seemed to realize this which makes me wonder how frequently staff actually checks these things. One day, someone randomly left a bell cart in the middle of the elevator bay on the 18th floor & it absolutely smelled of marijuana. I had higher expectations from Hyatt House. It was loud in the room and I got the worst two nights sleep I've had in a long time unfortunately. There was a loud clicking noise in the bathroom every morning (pipes maybe?) but there is no sleeping through this noise. We also didn't get and service to our room, so we quickly ran out of toilet paper, tissue and towels and had to call to ask for more. Our trash bins are also overflowing since we didn't get cleaning service. I mean, it's a place to stay and it's conveniently located by the convention center... but.. there are other place to stay that are quieter! read more

This one truly one of the nicest places I've stayed as I've traveled around the U.S. From the start, staff members were very friendly and helpful. The premises was very clean, modern and secure. It created a very inviting environment. I had a room on a high floor and it was just spectacular. A great view of the city skyline, equipped with a fully stocked kitchen, lounge space, comfortable bed and a modern shower. Parking on the street was surprisingly easy on a Friday night. You could even pay for parking from your phone, so you didn't have to get up early to throw quarters in. Given the quality of the stay, including a great view from the room, the cost was very reasonable. Rooms in Denver on a Friday night can be very expensive, but it wasn't too bad here. I was overall disappointed with the Hyatt House. That said it is in a great location if you want to be downtown. It has a 1980s vibe and my mattress sagged and felt like it was an 80s baby. The housekeeping was unusually "lite." They did not pick up old towels and did not bother to vacuum between nights (I know this because my spilled broken chips remained on the rug throughout my stay). Fix the elevators! Wait times of over 10 min just to get up and down. Breakfast was like a wild west and food was bland when you could get to it. Mandatory overpriced valet to park and overcharged for 'large vehicle'. Parking in the area is easily $20-30 max. The only thing this hotel has to bump up review is location and availability. Decent hotel in the downtown area. We were able to walk around downtown for dinner and it wasn't too bad of a walking distance. Room was decent with a sitting area. You do need your room key to enter the hotel entrance. There are two elevators, since they were practicing Covid protocols they only allowed each parties to enter the elevators. There were sometimes a line to get to your room. One of the elevators did have hand sanitizer inside the elevator, which was a nice touch. The first room we got we notice it was a bit dirty, so we told the front desk receptionist and they offered us another room. We did have to wait a while for our new room to be check by a manger. Bed and pillow are decent and comfortable for the night. There was no view from our window which was disappointing. There is overnight parking in there parking garage for a price. Parking is tight and limited amount of spots available. read more

Highlights: * reasonable nightly rate can be found on their website or through a third party. * microwave, stove, and refrigerator were in a good function. * corner room ( we were in room 1000) was quiet and we could play music at higher volumes without bothering neighbors. * staff were friendly and were quick to act on any housekeeping related requests. * seamless check in and check out process. Cons: * parking is horrible. There is a nightly rate of $25 but one could barely find parking in their garage and if one did, the stalls were way too small. Very challenging to have to squeeze so tightly in between other vehicles * rooms have no balcony. Would've been nice to enjoy some fresh air in the AM or PM without having to go downstairs. * walls are thin and we could hear everything as we passed by other rooms. * elevators are slow. Probably not a good idea in an event of an emergency. We found ourselves using the stairs quite a few times. * the area is very sketch. Regardless of the time of the day, there were people hanging outside of the hotel doing all sorts of weird things (drugs, selling, panhandling, etc.) * lots of high and drunk people hanging out around the hotel. read more

BEWARE! DO NOT USE VALET!! Valet damaged my rental car and gave me ZERO notice of damage. Luckily we took picture of our car the night before at dinner so we could remember our parking spot- shows no damage. Next morning we found rear-driver side damage to car. See pictures. Went straight to Hyatt front desk and they say they cannot help me since valet is a 3rd party- ******Hyatt, valet is charged at YOUR front desk, they are at YOUR entrance. They are YOUR 3rd party. Front desk points me to valet staff to figure it out ******* 2 pm: no answer from off site valet manager. I sent text and left a voice mail. I explain to front desk this is highly inconvenient, there is nobody on site that can help me- Hyatt or valet. I'm told by front desk I will be contacted either by valet manager or their team. I go on with my day. 9 pm: No returned calls or texts. I go back to front desk. I'm told that the valet manager let their team know that I will be contacted & that his shift starts at 11 pm. Front desk won't help me, says over and over again valet is a 3rd party and Hyatt can't help me figure this out, Go chase the valet manager on your own he told me he would get to you. Valet says their investigation will take weeks. Rental t&c says unauthorized driver will void all agreements. Lesson learned. read more

The Hyatt Place brand in the Hyatt family of hotels is pretty streamlined. You can always expect a couch, a table that doubles as a foot rest, a bed or two, a mini fridge, tv and desk... bathroom may be more or less modern depending on which one you go to. This Hyatt Place is one of the more modern ones on the spectrum. It is arguably one of the more innovative ones, from a real estate perspective, as the 20-story building is a combination Hyatt Place and Hyatt House, which surely saved them on building/rennovation costs. The bottom half is Hyatt House, which is set up to feel like you're at home, with a kitchen area. And the upper level is the Hyatt Place, which is your mid-entry hotel room. The combination means the lobby to this "super hotel" is larger than usual, with more seating area and communal space. There are two breakfast areas, although on the day I went only one was used for guests of both hotels. Breakfast was pretty standard. Coffee, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, cereal on offer... My room was on the 17th floor and there was a decent view of the Rocky Mountains along with the city. The bed was not the greatest, but I am overall pretty happy with the room. I'm not sure about the parking situation but there are pay meters right out front. I lucked out and stayed on a Sunday into a Monday that was a city holiday so I did not have to pay for parking. I parked literally right across from the entrance. Compared to most other Hyatt Places, I would say this one is a cut above. I'd give it four stars, except for one thing that happened that I was uhappy with. I'm a Gloabalist member, their highest tier of loyalty. This usually grants me access to suite upgrades where available. At Hyatt Place, where suites aren't offered, I should be given the best available room. Yet when I asked about the best room I could get, I was asked to pay $5 more for a room on the 20th floor. I wasn't willing pay for a few floors higher, but the fact that I was asked to pay felt like it was a breach of protocol. It was a one night stay and the room was open when I checked in at like 7p. I spend plenty of money at Hyatt to earn the top status. Trying to milk $5 more out of me felt annoying. Lastly, they ask you to fill out a survey in exchange for 500 Hyatt points. I filled mine out but did not get my points. read more

*COVID Update* Coming from LA where masks are mandated, this place surprised me when I saw absolutely no one wearing masks. There were hand sanitizer stations by the door and elevators thankfully. I booked directly on their website, but I wasn't charged for the reservation right away. I was told that they will charge the credit card after check-out, which is exactly what they did. I had a late check-in past midnight, and it went smoothly. My hotel room was clean and spacious. The hotel is in a great location. I was able to walk to 16th Street Mall. The complimentary breakfast in the morning is chaotic, but the servers are all smiles. I never heard them once complain or give attitude. Obviously there are several Hyatt locations in Denver, and it's hard to choose one. This location had the best reviews on TripAdvisor, which is why I decided to go with them. Side note: they do not have airport shuttles here, so they recommend Uber or Lyft. I'm not sure if this is standard, but Uber was charging $83 for a ride from the airport! I've heard it can go higher than $100! read more

I was visiting Denver for the weekend and I was looking for a place to stay that wasn't too far from the airport . But however had a central location . I found Hyatt House / Hyatt Place in Downtown Denver . This hotel is conveniently located a block down from the convention center . It is also located a block down from the famous 16th St. mall that's full of restaurants and shopping. I like the hotel because it was walking distance and we are practically on the 16th St. mall day. It's also located not too far from other famous Denver attractions like the money museum and the Denver Art Museum. We got there at nine in the morning so we weren't able to check in right away but they were able to hold our bags. Once we checked in our room I was pleased with what I saw. The rooms were very spacious and clean the next day we got up at around 830 to catch their continental breakfast. Which was a plus they have breakfast items for almost any type of eater. You also have a choice of housekeeping coming to your room or not which we chose just to have housekeeping so we can have fresh linen and towels. All right I have no complaints I love Hyatt House / Hyatt Place. There I have to go back to Denver that's where I'll be staying. I highly recommend staying at the Hyatt house/Hyatt Place downtown Denver. The staff was friendly the breakfast was delicious and the hotel is conveniently located in the downtown area. read more

Stayed here 3 nights for a business trip at the convention center. Check in was fast and friendly. The hotel employee even walked me to the elevator which was unnecessary but so kind! No room service at this hotel but there is some food available in the lobby/bar area and it's really easy to door dash food if you don't want to leave the hotel. Room was quite large and I enjoyed having a big corner couch to stretch out on. Bed was comfortable. 14th floor view of the mountains was stunning! Quick walk to the convention center. The hotel was packed due to my conference and I never had to wait long for the elevator. The gym was kind of small and not adequate for a bunch of type A finance people. I'd imagine under normal circumstances you could get a machine at 5:30am. Noise level at night was low. Breakfast in the AM was nothing fancy but hit the spot. Eggs, potatoes, toast, cereal, yogurt, etc. would stay at this location again! read more

This hotel fell far below my expectations. I expect a certain level of style, comfort, amenities, etc. from Hyatt Hotels. This one did not reach the bar for me. Let's start with the lobby. The furniture is showing wear and was not the best first impression. The check in desk is actually 3 or so small standing desks which are very close to each other and awkward to get in and out of. They sit on a thick carpet, which makes it terribly hard to roll your luggage on, so this makes Checking in even more awkward. I do like that for added security you must use your door key to move the elevator from the lobby. But once off the elevator, there is again thick carpet making it difficult to roll your luggage. After a long day of travel, this is really a pain. Once to our room we realized that one key wasn't programmed correctly, so only one key worked. That we could forgive. But what I couldn't forgive is that the bolt lock on our room door did not work. I am a stickler for all safety measures when in hotels, so for me this was major! There was a small half swing catch in the door, but still we should have been able yo use the deadbolt. The window shades were automated, which would have been a cool feature but they were apparently old and could use some maintenance. It took FOREVER standing and holding a tiny button down on the wall to get the sheer then the shade down. It was completely frustrating! The room itself was also showing wear. Big brown wood open spaces in the tv stand and an oversized L desk were connected and loomed large in the room. Very outdated and unattractive. Even the lamps and the pictures on the walls were dated and in need of updating. The bathroom was quite basic and could use updating. As if they were did appreciate the large shower with waterfall shower head. I also appreciated the designer toiletries. That was a nice touch. The bed was comfortable at first, but after laying in it a while, both my husband and I became very uncomfortable. It was as if the pillow top pad or mattress top began to sink in. It lead to a restless night. At least once the a/c kicked in the temp was good. Overall for the price, and the name, this hotel was a disappointment. At this price point, I'd recommend you pick another hotel that would more probably meet your expectations. read more

Bed bugs in room 1029. Do not stay here. It's been 48 hours since the sighting and they still have not contacted about our bags in the room. They said they were going to fumigate the room and our bags and it has still not been done. Professionalism is not something they know of at this location. When I called down to tell them about the bed bugs they asked me to bring it down to show them. Bring the bugs down??? Seriously? I have bites all over my body. The staff allowed me to check in early. Hallelujah! Super friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. 2. I LOVED (yes, in all caps) the layout of the room. Hyatt House lives up to the name, boasting a living space comparable to a studio apartment. A full couch, kitchen with new appliances, a big counter for eating (working for me), and the best hotel shower I've had in ages. Mad props! 3. Location, location, location. Staying here allowed me to venture in any direction without hassle. Uptown, Capitol Hill, Five Points, 16th Street Mall, I walked erry'where! Would 100% stay here again. The room and lobby looked nice. But there were a few problems: 1. No guest parking so we had to valet ($50 a night). 2. They charged us for an extra day of valet on our bill. We had to call and have them correct it. Make sure you double check your bill at checkout. 3. The pillows were terrible. Flat and hard. 4. The breakfast situation was a disaster. Tons of people trying to grab food from one small area and multiple tables had not been bussed. I'd suggest having multiple breakfast areas so everyone isn't crammed into one section and have more people working to help clear tables as fast as possible. WOW. This spot was awesome. We got the one bedroom suite and paid around 120 a night and it was well worth it. The suite came with a full-size fridge and range and all the cabinets stocked with anything you would need to cook a meal. The room was clean and well maintained. When we arrived Rebecca at the front desk helped us out and she was AMAZING and informed us of the area and things to check out. She even pulled out a map to help orient us. She was beyond welcoming and helpful. The hotel is in a prime location and only a few minutes away from the free mall ride that goes up and down 16th street for FREE so you can go to all the happening areas (Lodo, lohi, Capitol Hill, downtown, five points) . We felt safe walking around at night. The hotel is also only accessible by key card which was an added security bonus. They had free breakfast to go (a fruit, croissant, granola bar and orange or apple juice) every morning in a sealed bag until 9am. They also have a water fountain in the lobby which sounds small but I have found is pretty rare in hotels. The lobby is huge and also has some food and drinks for purchase. The hotel also held our luggage at the front desk during check out so we could explore before our evening flight which I appreciated. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here and will be recommending to any friends visiting Denver. read more

Hyatt Places are consistent. You know the light and friendly service you'll get, at all of them, all over the U.S. They offer a decent breakfast and are super good about refilling the items. Parking is always around $40~something, each nite. There's always a fitness center and small pool. Normally, they're placed in the middle of cities, with lack of views, but it doesn't matter because the city offers plenty of stuff to do for yah. The rooms are large and comfortable and provide a lot of relaxation, that we all need. Hope you enjoy your stay, as much as we do! xx read more

We were really happy we booked with the Hyatt place for our short trip to Denver. We thought the location was perfect! Just a block from the pavilion shopping center and the surrounding restaurants and shops, we had a lot of options for dining and entertainment without having to go very far. The staff was really friendly and helpful from the bellman to the housekeepers and front desk staff. The only disappointment was that although our stay had breakfast included we never saw any breakfast and the restaurant was closed. The hotel next door had their restaurant and bar open and we were a little envious. Other than that we were very happy with our choice and I would stay here again next time we come through Denver! read more

This is a beautiful, quiet, clean lodging with a wonderful free breakfast. The young people staffing the hotel are friendly and energetic, but with a confidence and laid-back attitude that immediately put me at ease. One valet named Joey went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. I think Joey has an instinct and gift for hospitality. One engineering problem, however. There appeared to be no cold water in the bathroom. Taking a shower would have injured me, so I ran a bathtub and waited for the water to cool. Please fix this soon to avoid guest injury hazards. read more

We enjoy staying at Hyatt House because of the kitchen/kitchenette that they have in most of the rooms. This location shares the property with Hyatt Place so it was very busy. Here are the pros and cons of our three night experience here: Pro: --Free bottle of water at check in as a Discoverist Hyatt member (apparently you get a free bottle every day but we did not--maybe because we did not utilize daily housekeeping?--not sure) --Free breakfast (limited variety of choices but tasted good) --close to 16th street mall --friendly, hard working staff --clean room Con: --No designated area to pull in your car while you check in and bring your bags to the room. The valet wanted us to check in w/o bringing our bags to the room because most people forget to move their car after they go straight to their room. Really? --No self parking; valet only. There are many parking lots close to this hotel (within a few blocks) charging $11 to $16 per day (24 hour period) that allow ins and outs if you don't want to utilize the hotel valet. Of course, items left in car are at your own risk. --Our room by the elevator was very noisy. We could hear the elevator cables (through the walls) making noise all through the day and night. read more

Zero rating. We arrived around 3 am. The room had no cold water. My 13 year old was scorched with the shower on cold. The toilet also had hot water. Manager said he knew about this issue. He said he would upgrade us to a better room. Instead, he gave us another similar room but the bed was very uncomfortable. We asked to switch again and they kicked us out. They told us we had 30 minutes to leave or the police would escort us out. No refund we have to pay for another hotel. Will be filing a public safety report with the City of Denver. What a great post COVID business model. Kick out guests for complaining about public safety and comfort issues, keep money and keep renting rooms. Nice creative way to generate revenue and lose customers permanently. The front desk receptionist Mercedes, and the hotel manager Damon Montgomery were responsible for this fiasco. In fact, they wouldn't let us speak to Damon, per policy. read more

A good solid hotel in vertical part of downtown Denver. Tall buildings all around, a mall, convention center (where the Great American Beer Festival is held every year) and even the State capital building are only a few minutes walk away. Breakfast is good, especially the omelet of the day. Valet parking only, which costs just a smidge under $40 a day with enter exit privileges all day. Loved the staff. From the breakfast staff to the wonderful folks at the front lobby. read more

Had a convention here and it was great! The lobby is one of the best I've been in, I love how big and open it is; the decor is modern but still warm and inviting. The bar area was big yet intimate with a good happy hour. The staff is awesome and incredibly nice and helpful. The banquet room are amazing in the sense that you didn't hear the other speakers through the walls and we didn't catch pneumonia at the end of the day. My favorite odd feature were the toilets...it was a wave instead of the auto flush! Very genius! read more

Upset is an understatement. I specifically called this hotel and asked when i called if Valet parking was available. "Yes sir, $46 a night." As we would be traveling all day, I did not wish to have to deal with finding parking downtown Denver at the end of a long day and worrying about my vehicle. When we arrived the Valet informed us they were full and the front desk would provide us with a map for overnight parking. What? Where is the valet I was told was available? I found parking a block away...$10 overnight...but you have to renew it at 5:59AM. So long day, now added in with an extremely early wake up just to renew my parking or move the vehicle. I will not be staying here again, front desk staff was very unhelpful and said valet was first come first serve. Nowhere on their website was this stated. If you do not intend to honor your Valet, do not offer it in the first place, or buy more spots at local parking locations for your guests. For a Hyatt I am very disappointed. read more

This hotel has bed bugs!!!! The stay was fine, but I started noticing bites on my body after the first night. I thought maybe mosquitos but they are all over my back and stomach! There is no way a mosquito could repeatedly bite me when I don't expose those parts of my body other than when I am sleeping. I literally got eaten alive. I don't care how nice the staff is or how close everything is to the hotel, not worth getting bit in your sleep. I pray I did not transfer any home with me or I will have to take action with this hotel. Not worth an $800 stay. They even bit my face and neck. read more
