We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando and came away with mixed feelings. The property is nice overall, but it's definitely showing its age in places. It was also extremely busy during our stay, although the staff did a great job and were consistently friendly and helpful. We were "upgraded" to a pool view room which gives you a view of the fireworks at Magic Kingdom and Epoct. The biggest frustration was the elevators. They were slow, crowded, and there just didn't seem to be enough of them for the number of guests. We spent a lot of time waiting. The free shuttle to the parks was a nice perk and made getting around easy. The pool area is also very nice, but the best lounge chairs are reserved, and many guests claim chairs early in the morning by leaving towels or personal items on them, even when they're gone for hours. The bar overserves people. As a Hyatt Globalist, breakfast was included each morning. You can choose either the buffet or one entrée from the menu. We opted for the buffet, and while it wasn't anything exceptional, it had a good variety and was satisfying. The Wi-Fi was unreliable throughout our stay, which was disappointing. Room service was reasonably priced, but the food was just average and nothing memorable. One thing that could definitely be improved is the entrance gate. If one car is checking in, everyone behind them has to wait, even if they're already registered. It creates unnecessary backups. The resort fee felt high for what was actually included, especially considering the internet issues and some of the property's shortcomings. We got a good room rate, which helped offset the cost, but the added fees made the overall value less impressive. Overall, it's a decent place with excellent employees and some nice amenities, but there are enough operational issues that I'd probably look at other options before staying here again. read more

Background: Wedding venue was this location so for convenience I booked a reservation here. 1. When calling to schedule a shuttle to take me from the airport to the hotel, the person on the line gave me information and a number to call to make the arrangements. After inquiring how much it would cost she checked with the front desk only to find the shuttle service is no longer provided. Either way, regardless of the services offered--they should probably all know what is offered before giving clients information that won't work. 2. We were given the wrong keys to our valeted car (push to start). When we reached our destination we could not lock the car, come to find out we were given Honda keys for the infinity we were driving. We called our friend at the hotel who went downstairs to the valet to explain that we were stranded in a thunderstorm miles away because valet gave us the wrong keys. The valet guy found the correct keys for the car we needed and did not offer a solution. So our friend had to go find a family member who is also staying to get another car to drive to bring us the correct key. Wild af but what did I expect for Florida, I guess. read more

Complete incompetence at 4 to 6 am fire alarm goes off and there's no fire. The staff had no idea what happened or how to fix it and to make it worst they didn't care. The security and maintenance staff was useless and didn't care. Very poor leadership on Hyatt. This hotel is a hidden gem. The outside looks basic but the inside is stunning! Lots of windows to bring in the natural light. High floors. Nice size room. A list long of amenities and restaurants/bars on the property. They also have Sixth rental company on site. Now it's about 25-30 from the airport, but Lake Buena Vista is a nice area. My room was spacious. It was very quiet, even though they have joining rooms. Most rooms have a balcony that you can walk out on. But the pool is definitely the highlight of the show. It's like 3 pools in one and they have a slide. I truly enjoy staying at this property. read more

I didn't stay at the hotel however I bought resort passes for my children and I. I really enjoyed the lazy river and the heated pool. Adults can also enjoy a tucked away hot tub. We stayed from May 20-23 and loved the hotel! We didn't look into the hotel well enough to notice how many cool amenities they had there! We visited theme parks and restaurants outside of the hotel so we got to enjoy only a few perks. The pool, hot tub, arcade, convenient STARBUCKS, Friday family movie night, and indoor aesthetics was such a win. We missed out on the restaurants in the hotel, rock climbing, kayaking, pickleball court, bsb court, biking, mini golf, etc. no worries, we're definitely returning. read more

I stayed here recently for a conference in August and when checking in, I was informed that due to a weather incident, there was a boil water notice across the area. I stayed 4 days and it wasn't lifted until a few days after I checked out, but the staff were great in getting around this. Every day that they cleaned the room they brought plenty of water bottles, and it was easy to call housekeeping for more if needed. The restaurants and pool took precautions to make sure everyone was safe. The staff was great, from the valets to front desk, to housekeeping. Everyone had a pleasant attitude which was comforting. The room was fine, although I had an ant issue the last night. They suddenly started coming out of the bathroom vent, but when I called the front desk, they sent someone up immediately who got rid of them. I didn't see any more the rest of the night. The grounds were clean and though not completely new, looked like everything held up well. My only complaint would be the insanely cold smaller conference rooms. I didn't use the pool but my fellow conference goers sure did, spending as much time there as they could. The market was convenient and though pricy, the food that I had purchased there was good, especially the cookies. I even used the FedEx service which I appreciated being open on Sunday. Though I felt I was overcharged, my package arrived home on time and it was packed well. Parking is expensive as well, without enough designated close handicapped parking spaces, but the valets were helpful in making sure I had a spot when I needed it. 5th time staying at the Grand Cypress and I am always pleased with my stay. I usually go in the summer but this past visit was in December and I am so glad I got to experience so many of the resort amenities. The weather was perfect so we got to use the pool, (wish it were heated a tad warmer) we rode the trails on bicycles which was super fun, kayaked on the lake, and golfed. We spent 4 nights here and made it a point to spend 2 solid days at the resort. It was lovely. Such a great time to utilize all it has to offer. read more

This stay in Orlando was a self-proclaimed "no theme park" Orlando visit. This Hyatt Resort filled the requirement, as there is plenty to do without leaving the property. There is a grand pool and a lake on the property with almost unlimited activity possibilities. You can kayak, rock climb, play basketball, golf, swim, and bike if you desire. The service was outstanding with daily room cleaning. In addition to the outdoor activities, there are three on-site restaurants to fulfill all your culinary needs. If you are lucky and select the right rooms, you will be able to view the nightly fireworks coming from Disney World. If you are not a guest of the resort you can purchase a day pass and enjoy the resort. If you are a registered guest, all of the above-mentioned activities are free. Be advised that the elevators have longer than usual wait times during resort room check-ins, check-outs, and pool closings, which is 10:00 p.m. We had a great stay at this Hyatt resort and we will be back soon. read more

A really nice place to stay at if you are going to Disney World. It was close to the park and the pool was really nice. There was a nice walking path. Make sure you do not take a stroller on it because it does turn into a dirt road. The rooms were clean and the pool service was great too! I liked how the pool was so big and there were different sections with waterfalls that made the pool seem like an adventure every turn you took! I would go back to this place! Also, check out the parrot in the front of the hotel. My daughter was excited to see if Merlot the parrot was out to greet her everyday. read more

I actually love the location of the hotel, it's conveniently in the airport after a long flight. Has lots of stores you can shop Disney and universal swag from, food court close by in the terminal BUT they refused to give me two cribs for my twins after multiple back and forth with the front desk saying they will and the folks who deliver the cribs saying they won't. Even after they said they'll make an exception, they still never delivered the second crib. Now I can't sleep because I'm worried one of my boys will fall off the bed at night. Do not recommend if you need multiple cribs. read more

I attended a conference at this Hyatt location and was very impressed by the spacious meeting rooms and wide hallways, which made it perfect for large events. This one had around 500 attendees. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the main dining room, which was massive. The staff were punctual, professional, and excellent at hosting the conference. The food was another highlight, with plenty of variety suit to every preference, from healthy to indulgent, and vegan, vegetarian, and non-vegan options that pleased all tastes and palates. My sisters adnd I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress and it was amazing! When we arrived the valet took care of our car and the bellhop took care of our luggage. It was a great way to get the weekend started. The lobby was so beautiful and relaxing. Upon checking in we were greeted with champagne. They really know how to get your vacation started. Our room was very comfortable and the four of us had quite a bit of room for all of our belongings. For me, the shower can make or break a stay for me. I don't drink coffee, for me it's a hot shower in the morning. The shower did not disappoint. It had great water pressure and the water gets really hot. The view out our balcony window was spectacular and we could even see the fireworks from both Epcot and the Magic Kingdom in the evening. The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress is more than just a hotel. It is a vacation destination. While there's so much close by (Disney, Universal Studios, and more) you could actually stay at the hotel and have a full vacation with out leaving the property. There are multiple pools and hot tubs with the option to rent cabanas complete with TV's and a fridge. They also have their own beach where you can take advantage of their paddle boards, kayaks, and more. They even have their own golf course. There's a splash pad and two different rock walls. They even have a camp program that you can drop your kids off if you want a kid free day. They don't just babysit, but actually have a full program to keep your kids active and having fun. One of my favorite amenities is the Marilyn Monroe Spa. You can get a massage, a pedicure, and more! It's a great place for a wedding! read more

Just stayed overnight at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. Last year, July 2024, we raved about the hotel & service. Unfortunately, this year July 2025, they really dropped the ball in bathroom upkeep. Our room was clean, staff were wonderful, pool was great. But the bathroom was in need of repair. No cold water in the bathroom sink as it was turned off. Turned on the cold water under the sink & water barely trickled out. Turned off the cold under the sink & the hot water flowed strongly. Turned off the hot water under the sink & turned on the cold. The cold flowed strongly. Turned both hot & cold under the sink and water barely trickled out. When you showered with the shower doors closed properly, the water from the shower flooded the floor. We had to cover the floor with bath towels to prevent falling & to soak up the water. The worst was the intake even in the bathroom over the side of the sink. It was covered in dust and most likely unhealthy bacteria. To the credit of the hotel they offered to move us to another room on the same floor even though they told us the hotel was full. It was late at night & DH was already sound asleep so I declined. When checking out the front staff gave us a voucher to 2 drinks to use at their bars. My mother-in-law booked an overnight stay as an anniversary gift to us. She asked how we liked the strawberries & champagne that she had asked to be delivered to our room. We didn't receive it. Again staff were fantastic when I called & asked about it. They couldn't do the strawberries on short notice as we were checking out that morning but immediately brought up a bottle of champagne with 2 glasses. After we checked out we stayed & enjoyed the pool. The pool here is always fun. The temperature was perfect. We ordered the chicken quesadilla. Our favorite & it did not disappoint. For drinks I had the Frozen Caribbean Colada. I highly recommend this one. The gloves were perfect & it was cooling for a typical hot Florida day. DH had the Cypress Rum Runner. He said he was feeling very good with that delicious drink. I would have given 1 star for the bathroom's flaws. Luckily staff were very pleasant & accommodating. If you stay here, make sure (before it's late & you're too tired) to check everything is functioning properly & everything including the vents are clean. read more

This was my pre-cruise hotel for a group cruise. I took the red eyes so that I could go to Disney World for the day however, I got injured the day before I came and was unable to go because I was unable to walk. I got to the hotel far earlier than check-in and I didn't know what I was going to do except check my bags in and hang out in the lobby for several hours.. fortunately when I went to check in and see how long I would have to wait the wonderful person at check-in found a room that I could check into immediately instead of having to wait. It wasn't what I had booked, but I truly did not care. I am more than thankful for being able to have a room. Staff was all very friendly and nice. I did do room service once it was fine no more overpriced than any other Hyatt hotel. Used the market store for a couple of snacks. Unfortunately, wasn't able to use any of their lovely water areas or eaten any of their restaurants (which people I talked to liked). Loved every single thing about this resort. We stayed in the off season, early January, and paid a fraction of the price of a night during normal or high season. Unfortunately it was unseasonably cold so we couldn't truly enjoy the outdoor amenities for as long as usual but we still got a taste of everything. I also appreciated that being a Hyatt rewards member meant complimentary water and an offer of champagne upon check in. We met family in the lobby bar area and enjoyed the appetizers as well as drinks. A happy hour would've been nice though. Rooms were clean, beds were a bit stiff but I would love to plan a trip back when it's a bit warmer. read more

We enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando. We came here for a wedding. All of the wedding activities and events that we attended were on site, so we spent a lot of time here. We had a blast and thought this was a terrific wedding venue. We stayed three nights in a king-bed room for $780.63 total or $260.21 per night. That total includes taxes and fees including a "resort fee." Yes, this place is more than a hotel, it's a resort with restaurants, a full-service spa, a gym with Peloton bikes, a lake (Lake Windsong) with a man-made beach and lake activities (e.g., fishing, kayaking, paddle boating, hydrocycling), a large lagoon-style pool with waterfalls, a grotto, hot tubs, and a splash pad, private cabanas and outdoor lounge spaces, an outdoor rock climbing wall, a game room, an outdoor basketball court, pickleball courts, biking and walking trails (bikes provided), and even a pitch and putt golf course (clubs and balls provided). There's a handsome parrot (macaw) in the lobby, near the front desk, named Merlot. Each day from our room, I saw guests on the lake in kayaks, canoes, etc., walking/jogging and riding on the trails, fishing, etc. My wife and I walked the property and explored most of the resort. Check out the beautiful Oak Terrace, outside near the pool -- they have a bunch of lanterns hanging from the large oak tree there, which makes for some cool photo ops, especially at night. The design, landscaping, and flora in and around the pool area reminded us of the last resort we stayed at in Maui, Hawaii (Marriott). I spent a little bit of time shooting hoops at the basketball court. There, I was surprised to find three inflated basketballs in good condition. The court, backboard, and net were also mostly in good condition. I also checked out the pitch and putt golf course, which I think is a neat feature. I didn't play, but would have if I had more time. I walked on one of the greens and it was in decent shape for a casual "pitch and putt" course that's already included for guests to play. It looked like fun. We stayed in Room 247, which was a corner room with two small balconies overlooking Lake Windsong, a small sliver of the beach, and trails. It was a nice view. To me, our room was updated and modernized enough with a comfy bed and chairs, usable Wi-Fi speeds, a big TV with the sports channels I wanted at the time (even ESPNU, which was a pleasant surprise), and it was spacious. One of our big disappointments with the room was the coffee machine. It had corrosion and mold on it. Yuck. Also, there were no coffee cups. Instead, there were cheap, flimsy, clear plastic cups. I don't think it's safe to drink coffee out of those, especially with no sleeves. For a resort in this tier, what the heck? We ended up going to "Market" downstairs and purchasing Starbucks coffee for our coffee. While the room itself was spacious, it lacked surface space for things like the coffee machine, which was stored away inside the TV console. The only space for the ice bucket was behind the TV. Awkward. So yeah, there's definitely room for improvement inside the room. The bathroom with glass shower was nice and it appeared to be updated relatively recently. However, my wife made the observation that the room was updated/renovated inconsistently. For example, there was an iHome for the nightstand clock and it had an outdated iPod connector. It didn't fit in with the other updates. The elevators were busy and a bottleneck during peak times. There were multiple times during our stay when people didn't want to squeeze into an elevator and waited for the next one. I've stayed at several other similar-sized hotels and resorts and this usually isn't a problem. In general, service was good, but the "Market" on the lobby level seems too small and understaffed for the size of the resort. On more than one occasion, we saw the staff overwhelmed and service slow to a crawl. More room for improvement. As for the wedding, this was an Indian wedding which took place indoors and outdoors over multiple days. For example, we attended a baraat (groom's procession), which occurred outside the hotel in and around the Windsong Porte-Cochere. Most resort guests wouldn't venture to this side of the hotel, where the ballrooms are. It feels a lot more business/convention-like on the ballroom side. However, the aesthetics are contemporary and beautiful as well. The ceremony took place outdoors at sunset on the Windsong Fountain Lawn. It and the black-tie-optional dinner reception occurred inside the adjacent Windsong Ballroom. It was absolutely gorgeous and a lot of fun. The Hyatt's spaces were versatile and functioned well for a variety of wedding activities and events. For example, there was a hospitality suite on the 12th floor, a reception ballroom dedicated to just desserts, and a ballroom just for the afterparty. It's easy to see why this place is popular for big and elaborate weddings. read more

We had a lovely stay at Hyatt Grand Cypress for a family reunion with theme park visits. All 3 rooms were in great condition and we appreciated the care and attention the housekeeping staff provided. Everyone enjoyed the many activities offered - we only wish we had more time to explore everything! Our kids especially loved the waterslide, ping pong tables, poolside Dippin' Dots, and paddle boats. We didn't get to the mini golf, running trails, aqua bikes, or canoes. The location was great - 10-15 min to Disney and 25 minutes to Universal. Self-parking was a convenient 3-5 minute walk from the lobby. We wanted to give special recognition to the staff at the Lakehouse restaurant where we had breakfast for a week, especially Ouissam and the gentleman who made us so many omelets. Also Emily at boat rentals, Yuno at the World of Hyatt front desk, Tim who kindly let the kids meet Merlot the resident macaw, and Chance who took our poolside orders with such genuine friendliness and enthusiasm. There were countless others who made us feel welcome and our stay special. Just came back from Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando. Took advantage of the 2x/night Elite Qualifying Night plus 1k per night promo. We did not rent a car. Airport to hotel was a quick and easy 30min, $40 Uber ride around 8:30pm on a Saturday. Hotel parking is $36/nt, valet is $51/nt. Arrived to the hotel armed with a Guest of Honor from a Globalist however hotel was booked solid so we had zero luck on an upgrade. Our deluxe king room faced the lake and nightly Disney fireworks. Buffet Breakfast is $35/adult, yay for us it is included with our GOH. We were only offered a 1pm checkout citing max capacity (instead of 4pm for Globalists) We enjoyed the pools despite groups of kids running around possessed by the Energizer Bunny. This hotel offers comp use of kayaks, pitch n putt, rock climbing, pickleball, basketball, bikes, hammocks (see photos below). Uber to Animal Kingdom is $15 one way. Free shuttle only goes to Disney world, Epcot, Universal and Disney Springs. There is a Sixt car rental in the lobby but it was cheaper for us to do Turo when we decided last minute to drive to St Augustine and Daytona Beach (hello Buc-ee's!) Cocktails start at $16 (loved watching the Olympics in the lobby bar ). Ordered pork chops ($29) and short ribs ($34) from the Lakehouse restaurant downstairs. Can get pricey eating in and we saw a lot of Uber eats delivery and Instacart. It's a huge resort with no outside food options that's walking distance. Resort fees were waived coz of GOH. Thank you to Chef Jorge and Mike in the Lakehouse breakfast buffet for their friendly service every morning. read more

This was a really beautiful resort. They had a live parrot in the lobby. The staff was really kind and allowed us to store our baked goods in their fridge. The only thing that I didn't like was that the pool wasn't open for longer but that's out of their control. They had a lot of amenities and I wish I could've stayed longer to enjoy. They give a number to text for anything you need and it's pretty cool. I will definitely add this to a list of places to visit again. read more

The Grand Cypress Resort is underrated but so impressive. The expansive, clean pools, adorned with waterfalls, were amazing. They are surrounded by lush greenery creating a rainforest feel. The three restaurants, including one by Richard Blais, offer diverse dinner options. The colossal fitness center, accessible through enchanting grottos, was so unique. I had buffet from the event downstair, it was delicious! You got to try the proscuitto pizza (date, goat cheese, pistachio, arugula, proscuitto) from the Lakehouse restaurant. I had it twice. A Magical Stay at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress This was my third visit to the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, and it just keeps getting better. The grounds are stunningly beautiful--lush, peaceful, and truly a hidden gem in Orlando. The pool is incredible and perfect for families, though this trip I had the joy of visiting with my mom. From the moment we checked in, every staff member we encountered was kind, friendly, and genuinely helpful. A big thank you to Habi, who went above and beyond to accommodate my Globalist late checkout request. Though our original room was needed by 2 PM, she thoughtfully moved us to another room so we could enjoy our time until 4 PM. Such a sweet gesture! I also want to shout out the two lovely ladies at the front desk during check-in--one of whom was from Chicago like me! I believe one of their names was Irie. I, unfortunately, lost the piece of paper they wrote their names on, but I'm still so grateful for their warm welcome and kindness throughout our stay. The breakfast was delicious as always, and the service across the board was top-notch. This hotel is truly one of my favorites--always a 10/10 experience. I cannot say enough about our wonderful stay at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando! This was our third stay and we always have had a fantastic time. This time we spent a few days celebrating my birthday. The hotel is beautiful and the grounds and landscape are absolutely gorgeous, luscious tropical nature with a nice walking trail. The pool area is one of the best we have enjoyed! The breakfast buffet is absolutely delicious. But above all, I must commend the staff for their friendly and kind nature. They really make you feel welcome! From the efficiency and friendliness of the front desk managers, such as Asim and Stephanie, to the assistance of Edmond, to the absolutely warm nature of our wonderful waitress Aicha in the Lakehouse restaurant. She made our breakfast experience absolutely enjoyable. Thank you dear Aicha!! JP was also very warm and helpful. Jessica, one of the pool attendants, kindly helped me find my misplaced purse! Above all, we want to thank Maria Pastrana, the HR director, for making our stay a memorable one. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Looking forward to our fourth stay! read more

After more than five hours of travel, finally landing and making it to the hotel, I was more than ready to unwind and settle in. Unfortunately, just as I got here, I found out the entire hotel has no running water--definitely not the welcome I had in mind for the start of this vacation. That said, I've got to give credit where it's due--the front desk staff is doing their best to handle a tough situation. They've been kind, patient, and as helpful as possible given the circumstances. Still, not exactly the relaxing kickoff I was hoping for... here's hoping things turn around soon. read more

A conference that I attended to from Sunday through Tuesday was hosted at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. I booked a stay at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress from Sunday through Wednesday. I arrived at the hotel around 4:00 P.M, the perfect time for check-in! As soon as the UBER driver drove into the resort, I was in awe at how beautiful it was. The entry way was absolutely stunning, and you'll see all of the grounds with waterfalls as you drive towards the entrance. As soon as you enter the lobby, you'll see a open bar to the left, with the conference areas, further on. Open seating in the middle of the resort, and if you continue further, you'll see their MARKET place and the Lakeside restaurant, open for breakfast to dinner. Check-in and elevators are to the right. You can also access the pool from there as well. Check-in was a breeze, and the team member provided a map of the resort. There are a lot of amenities on-site at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. Free Internet Access On-site Restaurants Room Service Pool Fitness Center Spa Golf Laundry This is a really nice resort. There is a large pool that interconnects with cave like structures that you can swim-through. There is also a large slide as well! There are plenty of seats available to lay at next to the swimming pools. If you walk the resort you'll notice a lot of activities. Pickleball Bicycles Jogging/Nature Trails Putt Putt Golf Rock Climbing The room I had was really nice. The bed was pretty comfortable. Inside the room includes a minifridge, coffee maker, safe, iron board for ironing, and lounge. I didn't stay too long inside the room since I was at the conference most of the time at the Hyatt Regency. The Hyatt Regency does offer complimentary transportation services to Universal Studios and Disney Worlds TTC (Transport & Ticket center). You do need to book a reservation and timeslot though. Since there are pre-set times, it may not necessarily align with your schedule though. Overall, I've been to Orlando plenty of times and even stayed at a few Disney World properties. This is one of my favorite resorts I've stayed at so far in Orlando Florida. I would stay here again if I was booking a family trip to Sea World, Disney World, or Universal Studios! read more

Came here for a conference. I like to be "green" so when I'm only in a hotel for a few days and it's just me, I opt out of housekeeping. Called the front desk and told them that when I got here. So I left my laptop, personal belongings and other stuff out. Came back from dinner and found they cleaned my room. Called down to the front desk, 3 times, and when they finally answer the response I got was "did you have your DND on the door?" No I didn't, didn't think I needed it. Other hotels you don't have to if you make that request. Fast forward to the next morning. I hadn't been sleeping well and finally was sleeping until the alarm clock went off at 4am. I didn't set it, never touched it. Housekeeping must have. Horrible service and will not be back. Stay away. Adding that the walls are paper thin. Party going on downstairs and it sounds like it's in my room. Don't expect to sleep here! read more

Nice hotel with large grounds. The room was clean and everything worked as expected . We had a nice view of the parks and the pool. The pool was unfortunately not warm enough to swim in. We wasted a day trying to enjoy the pool area since we arrived early for our Disney/Univ. Studios vacation. We tried the downstairs restaurant twice and it was just the ok. Not bad, but great. The lobby bar was closed most nights after we came back from the parks. Again, nice hotel to use as a home base if you're visiting the parks. We unfortunately were disappointed with the cold pool and didn't use much more. read more

Hyatt's On the Rocks is situated along Lake Windsong, offering views of the lagoon pool and beach. The location is very convenient, since we were at the pool. On the Rocks features four 60-inch TVs as well as relaxing, shaded seating with full bar and food service. From grab-and-go selections to popular grill station favorites, the pool bar offers convenience and value. We ate here for the first time. I was here with my family of six including three preschool children, while enjoying the kiddy pool area. They have very large umbrellas near the pool to shield you from the sun. The restaurant is mainly outdoors adjacent to the pool area overlooking the lake paddle boats, etc. I started with and enjoyed my Cypress rum runner with Cruzan Rum, DeKuyper Blackberry Brandy, Banana Liqueur, Fruit Juices, Myers's Rum cocktail for $17 at the pool. I also enjoyed my chicken quesadilla with flour Tortilla, Grilled Chicken, Jack and Cheddar Cheese, Cilantro Cream, Salsa, Guacamole for $16. Diniela served our table very well. My total bill including 18% gratuity was $211. We will return here again. read more

We stayed here with Hyatt points and free nights, but I'm reviewing this hotel as if I had paid regular price. This Hyatt isn't much different than many larger Hyatts that I've stayed at. Service at the front desk was good, but nothing exceptional and the hotel room was pretty on par with what you would expect at a Hyatt. However, these are the things where I place this hotel a bit lower. 1) Parking prices here are ridiculous. It's $36 for self parking, $51 for valet, and $62 for premium parking. All these prices are pre-tax, so we paid closer to $38/night for the self parking after tax. We opted for self parking and you still have to walk around 10-15 minutes (if not longer when the elevators are busy) from your room to get to your car, which is ridiculous to have to walk that far to get to your car. Also, everytime we tried to enter or leave the self parking lot, we always experienced some issue getting in and out with your key card. Often times we would have to call the attendent to get us out, which must be a common problem because they wouldn't even talk to us and just open the gate. * Just a note that we stayed at another hotel not too far away and the parking was free 2) In addition to the parking (which probably everyone staying here will pay since most will have a car), there is a daily resort fee of $49 per day. Now, you're paying an additional $90ish dollars for parking and resort fees everyday in addition to whatever you paid for your room. 3) Finally, the elevator situation at this hotel is horrendous. When the hotel is busy, it's not uncommon to not be able to get in a elevator since it would be too full. This would happen going up to your room and also going down to your car. They need to have someone monitor this area to help with the elevator situation since it would often get too crowded. The only plus of this hotel was that the clientele was nicer than the other hotel we stayed at, but otherwise, we probably wouldn't stay here if we paid the regular price. read more
