Amazing resort. Great service, clean rooms, and so much to do on the property! The pools are SO cool. Really recommend this place

I didn't stay at the hotel however I bought resort passes for my children and I. I really enjoyed the lazy river and the heated pool. Adults can also enjoy a tucked away hot tub. The service was so attentive. We were able to order drinks and food where we were lounging. The resort pass also included rock clinging for the kids, bike rentals, canoeing and kayaking.

Sunny FLORIDAAA.-- My first time at a Grand Cyprus! It was a great experience. I was here for a leadership conference I was invited into. And the first thing I noticed was the space.. obviously I guess but it was nooiceee. Expensive but nice. A protip: make sure you have the world of Hyatt app. Check-in was a BREEZE and I got early check in because of that, so take the extra time, sign up, and getcha points and benefits !

I stayed here recently for a conference in August and when checking in, I was informed that due to a weather incident, there was a boil water notice across the area. I stayed 4 days and it wasn't lifted until a few days after I checked out, but the staff were great in getting around this. Every day that they cleaned the room they brought plenty of water bottles, and it was easy to call housekeeping for more if needed. The restaurants and pool took precautions to make sure everyone was safe. The staff was great, from the valets to front desk, to housekeeping. Everyone had a pleasant attitude which was comforting. The room was fine, although I had an ant issue the last night. They suddenly started coming out of the bathroom vent, but when I called the front desk, they sent someone up immediately who got rid of them. I didn't see any more the rest of the night. The grounds were clean and though not completely new, looked like everything held up well. My only complaint would be the insanely cold smaller conference rooms. I didn't use the pool but my fellow conference goers sure did, spending as much time there as they could. The market was convenient and though pricy, the food that I had purchased there was good, especially the cookies. I even used the FedEx service which I appreciated being open on Sunday. Though I felt I was overcharged, my package arrived home on time and it was packed well. Parking is expensive as well, without enough designated close handicapped parking spaces, but the valets were helpful in making sure I had a spot when I needed it. Overall, my stay was enjoyable and Merlot the parrot was the highlight, greeting me every time I walked by!

We love this hotel when we visit Orlando. Their grotto pool is so fun. We love the water fall effects everywhere. They also have many activities like kayak, SUP boards, water bikes, golf, rock climbing, volleyball, gym, rental bikes and arcade. One resort with so many activities for kids to enjoy. All inclusive.... So kids can choose what they want to do without parents. Did I mention pickle ball and basketball, mini golf... and more Great morning food buffet too but that's a charged item. We still enjoyed it!

5th time staying at the Grand Cypress and I am always pleased with my stay. I usually go in the summer but this past visit was in December and I am so glad I got to experience so many of the resort amenities. The weather was perfect so we got to use the pool, (wish it were heated a tad warmer) we rode the trails on bicycles which was super fun, kayaked on the lake, and golfed. We spent 4 nights here and made it a point to spend 2 solid days at the resort. It was lovely. Such a great time to utilize all it has to offer.

This stay in Orlando was a self-proclaimed "no theme park" Orlando visit. This Hyatt Resort filled the requirement, as there is plenty to do without leaving the property. There is a grand pool and a lake on the property with almost unlimited activity possibilities. You can kayak, rock climb, play basketball, golf, swim, and bike if you desire. The service was outstanding with daily room cleaning. In addition to the outdoor activities, there are three on-site restaurants to fulfill all your culinary needs. If you are lucky and select the right rooms, you will be able to view the nightly fireworks coming from Disney World. If you are not a guest of the resort you can purchase a day pass and enjoy the resort. If you are a registered guest, all of the above-mentioned activities are free. Be advised that the elevators have longer than usual wait times during resort room check-ins, check-outs, and pool closings, which is 10:00 p.m. We had a great stay at this Hyatt resort and we will be back soon.

A really nice place to stay at if you are going to Disney World. It was close to the park and the pool was really nice. There was a nice walking path. Make sure you do not take a stroller on it because it does turn into a dirt road. The rooms were clean and the pool service was great too! I liked how the pool was so big and there were different sections with waterfalls that made the pool seem like an adventure every turn you took! I would go back to this place! Also, check out the parrot in the front of the hotel. My daughter was excited to see if Merlot the parrot was out to greet her everyday.

I attended a conference at this Hyatt location and was very impressed by the spacious meeting rooms and wide hallways, which made it perfect for large events. This one had around 500 attendees. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the main dining room, which was massive. The staff were punctual, professional, and excellent at hosting the conference. The food was another highlight, with plenty of variety suit to every preference, from healthy to indulgent, and vegan, vegetarian, and non-vegan options that pleased all tastes and palates. Great job, Hyatt Regency!

Beautiful resort with an amazing pool view! We had a fantastic stay at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. The pool area is absolutely stunning -- so spacious, relaxing, and perfect for families. My kids had the best time swimming, exploring the waterfalls, and playing on the slide. There's plenty of space to lounge and enjoy the sunshine too. The entire resort feels like a tropical getaway, with gorgeous landscaping and a peaceful vibe. Staff were friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out. Definitely a great choice if you're visiting Orlando and want both relaxation and fun for the whole family. Highly recommended -- we'll be back again!

My sisters adnd I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress and it was amazing! When we arrived the valet took care of our car and the bellhop took care of our luggage. It was a great way to get the weekend started. The lobby was so beautiful and relaxing. Upon checking in we were greeted with champagne. They really know how to get your vacation started. Our room was very comfortable and the four of us had quite a bit of room for all of our belongings. For me, the shower can make or break a stay for me. I don't drink coffee, for me it's a hot shower in the morning. The shower did not disappoint. It had great water pressure and the water gets really hot. The view out our balcony window was spectacular and we could even see the fireworks from both Epcot and the Magic Kingdom in the evening. The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress is more than just a hotel. It is a vacation destination. While there's so much close by (Disney, Universal Studios, and more) you could actually stay at the hotel and have a full vacation with out leaving the property. There are multiple pools and hot tubs with the option to rent cabanas complete with TV's and a fridge. They also have their own beach where you can take advantage of their paddle boards, kayaks, and more. They even have their own golf course. There's a splash pad and two different rock walls. They even have a camp program that you can drop your kids off if you want a kid free day. They don't just babysit, but actually have a full program to keep your kids active and having fun. One of my favorite amenities is the Marilyn Monroe Spa. You can get a massage, a pedicure, and more! It's a great place for a wedding!

Just stayed overnight at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. Last year, July 2024, we raved about the hotel & service. Unfortunately, this year July 2025, they really dropped the ball in bathroom upkeep. Our room was clean, staff were wonderful, pool was great. But the bathroom was in need of repair. No cold water in the bathroom sink as it was turned off. Turned on the cold water under the sink & water barely trickled out. Turned off the cold under the sink & the hot water flowed strongly. Turned off the hot water under the sink & turned on the cold. The cold flowed strongly. Turned both hot & cold under the sink and water barely trickled out. When you showered with the shower doors closed properly, the water from the shower flooded the floor. We had to cover the floor with bath towels to prevent falling & to soak up the water. The worst was the intake even in the bathroom over the side of the sink. It was covered in dust and most likely unhealthy bacteria. To the credit of the hotel they offered to move us to another room on the same floor even though they told us the hotel was full. It was late at night & DH was already sound asleep so I declined. When checking out the front staff gave us a voucher to 2 drinks to use at their bars. My mother-in-law booked an overnight stay as an anniversary gift to us. She asked how we liked the strawberries & champagne that she had asked to be delivered to our room. We didn't receive it. Again staff were fantastic when I called & asked about it. They couldn't do the strawberries on short notice as we were checking out that morning but immediately brought up a bottle of champagne with 2 glasses. After we checked out we stayed & enjoyed the pool. The pool here is always fun. The temperature was perfect. We ordered the chicken quesadilla. Our favorite & it did not disappoint. For drinks I had the Frozen Caribbean Colada. I highly recommend this one. The gloves were perfect & it was cooling for a typical hot Florida day. DH had the Cypress Rum Runner. He said he was feeling very good with that delicious drink. I would have given 1 star for the bathroom's flaws. Luckily staff were very pleasant & accommodating. If you stay here, make sure (before it's late & you're too tired) to check everything is functioning properly & everything including the vents are clean.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando. We came here for a wedding. All of the wedding activities and events that we attended were on site, so we spent a lot of time here. We had a blast and thought this was a terrific wedding venue. We stayed three nights in a king-bed room for $780.63 total or $260.21 per night. That total includes taxes and fees including a "resort fee." Yes, this place is more than a hotel, it's a resort with restaurants, a full-service spa, a gym with Peloton bikes, a lake (Lake Windsong) with a man-made beach and lake activities (e.g., fishing, kayaking, paddle boating, hydrocycling), a large lagoon-style pool with waterfalls, a grotto, hot tubs, and a splash pad, private cabanas and outdoor lounge spaces, an outdoor rock climbing wall, a game room, an outdoor basketball court, pickleball courts, biking and walking trails (bikes provided), and even a pitch and putt golf course (clubs and balls provided). There's a handsome parrot (macaw) in the lobby, near the front desk, named Merlot. Each day from our room, I saw guests on the lake in kayaks, canoes, etc., walking/jogging and riding on the trails, fishing, etc. My wife and I walked the property and explored most of the resort. Check out the beautiful Oak Terrace, outside near the pool -- they have a bunch of lanterns hanging from the large oak tree there, which makes for some cool photo ops, especially at night. The design, landscaping, and flora in and around the pool area reminded us of the last resort we stayed at in Maui, Hawaii (Marriott). I spent a little bit of time shooting hoops at the basketball court. There, I was surprised to find three inflated basketballs in good condition. The court, backboard, and net were also mostly in good condition. I also checked out the pitch and putt golf course, which I think is a neat feature. I didn't play, but would have if I had more time. I walked on one of the greens and it was in decent shape for a casual "pitch and putt" course that's already included for guests to play. It looked like fun. We stayed in Room 247, which was a corner room with two small balconies overlooking Lake Windsong, a small sliver of the beach, and trails. It was a nice view. To me, our room was updated and modernized enough with a comfy bed and chairs, usable Wi-Fi speeds, a big TV with the sports channels I wanted at the time (even ESPNU, which was a pleasant surprise), and it was spacious. One of our big disappointments with the room was the coffee machine. It had corrosion and mold on it. Yuck. Also, there were no coffee cups. Instead, there were cheap, flimsy, clear plastic cups. I don't think it's safe to drink coffee out of those, especially with no sleeves. For a resort in this tier, what the heck? We ended up going to "Market" downstairs and purchasing Starbucks coffee for our coffee. While the room itself was spacious, it lacked surface space for things like the coffee machine, which was stored away inside the TV console. The only space for the ice bucket was behind the TV. Awkward. So yeah, there's definitely room for improvement inside the room. The bathroom with glass shower was nice and it appeared to be updated relatively recently. However, my wife made the observation that the room was updated/renovated inconsistently. For example, there was an iHome for the nightstand clock and it had an outdated iPod connector. It didn't fit in with the other updates. The elevators were busy and a bottleneck during peak times. There were multiple times during our stay when people didn't want to squeeze into an elevator and waited for the next one. I've stayed at several other similar-sized hotels and resorts and this usually isn't a problem. In general, service was good, but the "Market" on the lobby level seems too small and understaffed for the size of the resort. On more than one occasion, we saw the staff overwhelmed and service slow to a crawl. More room for improvement. As for the wedding, this was an Indian wedding which took place indoors and outdoors over multiple days. For example, we attended a baraat (groom's procession), which occurred outside the hotel in and around the Windsong Porte-Cochere. Most resort guests wouldn't venture to this side of the hotel, where the ballrooms are. It feels a lot more business/convention-like on the ballroom side. However, the aesthetics are contemporary and beautiful as well. The ceremony took place outdoors at sunset on the Windsong Fountain Lawn. It and the black-tie-optional dinner reception occurred inside the adjacent Windsong Ballroom. It was absolutely gorgeous and a lot of fun. The Hyatt's spaces were versatile and functioned well for a variety of wedding activities and events. For example, there was a hospitality suite on the 12th floor, a reception ballroom dedicated to just desserts, and a ballroom just for the afterparty. It's easy to see why this place is popular for big and elaborate weddings.

They also have a 5:30 Kickback every evening from 5:30 to 7 p.m. to enjoy free dinnertime snacks and drinks; 3 alcoholic beverages are also included but optional. The staff were always nice and helpful. Please make sure to say hello to Miss Vickie in the mornings at the breakfast buffet. Free parking made getting around so much easier; other hotels charged. As a Universal Partner Hotel, they offer a free, scheduled shuttle to Universal Orlando Resort, which we used during our visit. Vacationers, if one's looking for an affordable accommodation with convenient amenities, look no further.

The hotel is beautiful! Every detail is done with care. The rooms, restaurants, pool, lobby, etc are all gorgeous. The staff is friendly and attentive- other than the restaurants. The only issues I ever had were with the wait staff. The service was always very slow. Whether we were at breakfast, or having drinks at the bar late at night. It was consistently very slow service. Not once did the waitstaff ever come by to offer me more coffee at breakfast. So, for service I give 3 stars. However, the bartender at the pool was wonderful! She was very nice and attentive. The valets were all great! The front desk staff were all wonderful. It's really just the waitstaff in the restaurants that need to get better. We loved our room. We had a view of the pool. I did call downstairs to ask for a magnifying mirror and a weight scale. They said they didn't have either. Fortunately they called back and did in fact have a scale and brought it up to my room. I would hope a nice hotel like this would have magnified mirrors for the bathroom. The food and drinks in the restaurants were good. No complaints. The location is great. We walked to dinner and to the nearby lake Eola. There's plenty of things to do within walking distance. I would stay here again.

We were able to go out and about without worrying about driving, which made the trip even more enjoyable. The hotel was easy to find, and parking is conveniently located right across the street with simple in-and-out access (though, of course, there is a parking fee -- which is never fun). Inside, the hotel is very clean, beautifully decorated, and the staff was accommodating throughout our stay. Our room was on the fifth floor, which I actually prefer when staying in a city -- the higher up, the better to avoid street noise. One of my favorite features of Embassy Suites is the room layout. The separation between the living room and bedroom is ideal, especially if someone wants to rest while others are still awake. The rooms have consistently been clean and feel very homey. Everything was great -- until Sunday morning. This is a dog-friendly hotel, which we love since we bring our dog and take her on walks so she's not stuck inside all weekend. However, checkout morning was pure chaos. One of the two elevators was out of service, it was peak checkout time, and there was also a princess pageant event happening, so the hotel was much busier than usual. Trying to get downstairs with my dog was extremely frustrating. I looked for stairs but wasn't sure if they were alarmed. When I asked an employee to confirm, she looked at me like I had five heads, which didn't help my already thin patience (I definitely did not have enough coffee for that situation). I eventually just went downstairs. Coming back up was even worse -- the line for the single working elevator was ridiculous. When I asked the front desk about the stairs, I was told they were accessible from outside. I didn't realize I needed my key card to re-enter through the outdoor stairwell (which makes total sense -- I was just aggravated at that point). After going back inside and trying again, I ended up walking up five flights of stairs with my dog. Thankfully, we had requested a late checkout, so we avoided the absolute peak of the chaos. Our friends on the third floor ended up carrying their luggage down the stairs because waiting for the elevator wasn't worth it. Unfortunately, being on the fifth floor with a lot of luggage, that wasn't really an option for us. Aside from that stressful morning, we really enjoyed our stay. The complimentary evening happy hour with drink tickets and small bites is always a highlight. We also had breakfast on Saturday morning -- and honestly, the breakfast is a major deciding factor whenever we choose to stay at a Hilton. Overall, a great stay with one very frustrating checkout experience.

City Hall is nearby with lots of office buildings and a few residential high rises. I was there for a concert at the Kia Center and it was about a ten minute walk. There is also a publix and a convenience store within a 5 minute walk. It is very convenient to get to from the airport via bus if you dont mind the ride and about 20 minutes (depending on traffic) from the international outlet mall. The complementary breakfast was decent with my highlight being the strawberry waffle that i was not supposed to eat LOL. Highly recommend this location if you dont want to stay in the more touristy part of orlando.

Nice and firm for a get night rest or a nap after being at the pool side for a few hours. Walk in closet big bathroom ,living room was cool as well. The rooms give you that old 1960 vibes with a modern touch. The resort also featured some old vintage 1960 cars similar to the TWA hotel at jfk airport. The resort had some nice places to go to. Me and my wife enjoyed the bowling alley. We had a lot of fun. Don't forget about the shops with all your favorite carton characters t shirts hats slippers you name it Star Wars, the minions the Simpsons fun for kids all ages. We also enjoyed the cabana cafeteria . I had a spicy chicken sandwich with fries my wife had chicken teriyaki lomein full of nice pieces of chicken ,Which she enjoyed .I also had some chicken tenders and fries from the cafeteria on our stay. We also ordered food from door dash while we were in the main lobby. We ordered shake shack which was cheaper ordering from door dash then buying food on the resort, smash burgers well done with cheese fries, for a little vacation cheat because I'm on a diet. By the way the order came really fast. Don The pool was great especially at night the view was amazing. With the lights shining on the pool and the really nice fire pit they had so you can even roast some marshmallows by it. Also the pool features a water slide for kids and adults. The blow up rafts were $9to17. You also could bring your own as well. You also had an ice machine with cold water free. Plus you had the soft drinks and soda all you can drink for $30 . That was the drink packed. Cabana bay resort also had a restaurant right next the pool outside. Where they had some really good chicken quesadillas with fries. My wife enjoyed that. . I went with the chicken wrap with lettuce and some veggies, It was great to eat pool side with the beach chairs equipped with the big umbrella for shade . Then you also had the lazy river at the resort. That featured a bigger water slide and pool . Bigger than the pool outside the main lobby. The staff was courteous and friendly the stay was fun. Just remember it's kinda pricey . But don't forget about all the theme parks you get to visit for $80 each way .

The food: the bowling alley is probably one of the best food options on site (other than the Starbucks) - the salad there was actually quite good and not crazy expensive (though, everything is expensive). We also enjoyed milkshakes from the malt shop. The room was fine - we had a suite with a little kitchenette and it was spacious enough for a few days. **My only real complaint (and the reason for my lower review) was the quality of the furniture. My daughter was leaning against one of the end tables to plug something in on the other side the night before we were hitting Epic Universe early, and it collapsed below her. She fell on top of it and some portion of it punctured her leg (we think a metal pin that was poking out from one of the broken legs). We contacted hotel management, and they came with hotel security who did some basic first aid and took away the broken tables (the other one also broke from her fall). We're grateful she wasn't injured more seriously (at least that we know of yet), but it could have been so much worse if that pin had punctured a more delicate area of her body. It also definitely made the next day at the park a lot harder for her with leg pain, etc. They really need to upgrade/inspect the furniture to make sure it's safe for guests.
