I've stayed here 5-6 times over the last few months. Hyatt Regency Valencia is a decently well-kept hotel and, given the limited options in the area, it's probably one of the nicer places to stay. It's located in a cleaner, more convenient part of Valencia, which is definitely one of its main advantages. That said, there are a few downsides. Breakfast is not included, although there is a restaurant and bar downstairs. Parking is also not included--you'll need to park across the street in a public garage. It would be nice if they offered valet service, but unfortunately, that's not available. The gym area was also pretty depressing and could definitely use some improvement. Overall, it's a clean hotel in a good location, which are really the biggest positives. If you're staying in Valencia, it's a solid option, just don't expect too many extras.

I am basing this review on having frequented this Hyatt Regency multiple times over the past two decades, largely for its former spectacular restaurant, The Vines, and for its Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's buffets and celebratory dinners. Also, it is a lovely place to have an afternoon drink and wander its beautiful park-like grounds. This Hyatt is as close to European luxury elegance as we have in the Santa Clarita Valley. When out of town guests need a place to stay, this is my only recommendation. As far as I am concerned, it is the only good hotel in the SCV and certainly in Valencia. My chief complaint is that they replaced a superb, top quality restaurant with a mediocre sterile place they call Greater Pacific. I will let you look at the pictures and the reviews of Greater Pacific itself and let you draw your own conclusion. As for me, I cannot for the life of me understand what and why they did this. So, the Valencia Hyatt Regency stands on its own, despite this baffling blunder. It is worth visiting, staying, and enjoying, just for the hotel and the grounds themselves. Also, this is a great place to hold a convention in the SCV Convention Center it houses. See my photos for more.

We stayed at this Hyatt again and stayed in the second floor in an upgraded room with a terrace. I guess it's good to have a terrace if you have kids but the view over looks a roof so the view isn't good. We were only here one night so having a terrace wasn't important. The room was plenty large though. Pillows were too soft but the King bed was OK. The clock on the nightstand had charging outlets for phone and watch recharging. The room was pretty clean and the AC was nice and quiet. We bought a breakfast package ahead of time when room was booked. At breakfast, it would only be for the buffet. You could only order one of the omelets instead of the buffet from the main menu. Buffet was pancakes, scrambled eggs, juice, coffee, fruit, country potatoes oatmeal, bacon and sausage links. It's a large hotel with swimming pool and a very small gym on the second floor.

Our stay here is always delightful. The beds are very comfortable and we each got our own last night. It was wonderful watching Trump's State of the Union Address all cuddled up in my bed last night. Probably the best speech ever in the best Hotel in town!

Hmmm...no words for a room I just checked in to. A used bar of soap and a clogged sink. They sent maintenance up right away. But, should not have been like that in the first place. I won't be staying at the Hyatt Regency Valencia when I come up here again.

This has been our to go spot when traveling down south for a couple of years, it's easy to get to, there are various places to eat, good safe parking, great area to walk around and venture out, pool, fire pits, nice rooms. They had it decorated for x-mas when we came this last time and we came in late, and they didn't even blink and eye or get moody with us checking in. Will continue to visit when needed

Pros: - 4 minutes away from the Cube, where my boys' hockey tournament was being held - Many $ and $$ restaurant options nearby - Housekeeping was very nice, we opted to skip service but they asked if we needed anything restocked as well. - Pool is small but the lounge area is very ample. Nice for groups to hang out - Ballrooms are available if you have large groups Cons: - Little dog next door has been barking non-stop since 8:30am and it's now noon. I'm all for a dog friendly hotels but yo - I got a handful of lotion on the side of the kleenex box. (OMG!) Now I'm questioning what gets cleaned. YUCKKKK

The guy that stole my money.

PSA!!!!! There is a ginormous Rat !!!! That works there by the name of Rosendo or "Rosenberg". He says he has connections with the hotel and dose dance choreography at their venue and we believed him so we gave the deposit and he completely ghosted us and took our money. Hyatt Regency is well known and he was in full uniform so unfortunately he was able to deceive us and we are completely disappointed.

Over flowing showers! So disgusting and unsanitary!

The only thing we were a little iffy about was the person wandering in circles around the building with no shoes and yelling. He was going straight through the front desk area across to the other side of the building, out the back door and around the building again. While we were outside, he went around 4 times and then we went to our room. I know theres probably not too much they can do about that, but it made us worry about our car a little. We really enjoyed all of the small things that were accessible in the room. They had all the utensils you need to eat and cook with, pots, pans, cutting board, bowls, plates, cups, toaster....everything. They also already have dishsoap and sponge in the kitchen. They also have Netflix on our TV which we really enjoyed. Overall, even though we havent left yet, we're extremely enjoying our stay and its been a great last HOORAH, coming back from our disneyland trip. We would definitely come back to stay again.

They were booked so, we could not move to another room (we had to tough it out overnight). But, I was told to speak with the manager (I remember being told that his name was George) in the morning. The kids upstairs kept jumping off the beds and crashing on to the floors, people were slamming the doors in the hallway, a couple was arguing in the next room and someone even knocked on our door in the middle of the night! I know it's a family friendly hotel, but wow! This was crazy loud! I called the front desk to see if they had ear plugs and unfortunately they did not. I did request to change rooms the next morning as we were there for 5 days and they were able to accommodate my request. Much quieter on the 4th floor! Also, house keeping does not clean the rooms daily. It was irritating how we had to ask everyday for new towels and linens changed. Lastly, we found out our door was not locking! As we were leaving for the day my husband randomly checked to make sure he closed the door well and you could literally turn the handle and walk right in to the room! The locking mechanism was not working! Very upsetting because our stuff could have been stolen. So make sure you always check the door when you leave because front desk told me the hot weather can do something to the door and locking mechanism? I didn't understand because what is the purpose of a reservation if you can't reserve what you need? They proceeded to explain to me that "because I booked through a third-party (such as Expedia) that there's no guarantee on what room you get." I paid $282.34 and didn't get my reserve room? Well we uncomfortably stayed in the king room with a rollaway one night we requested the second night to be moved if two queens became available, which it did. They offered us free parking and one free breakfast for the four of us but I still would've rather had the two queens to accommodate our family. The breakfast: substandard, and we received a bill and were told it was taken care of, but we had to fill in for a tip. It was buffet style and for four people the breakfast would've been $105.00 for bare basics... you could tell none of the food was made there. It was probably shipped in frozen then thawed, such as pancakes and eggs made from powder and water. Watered down juices. No pastry selection. Just really basic. Not worth $26 a breakfast. And asking for a tip when I serve myself buffet style didn't make sense. McDs would have been comparable but cheaper. Next night we were able to move to the two queen beds, but the room they put us in smelled crazy intensely like cigarette smoke the minute you walked in. We requested to change rooms and that was not a problem at all. We asked for extra towels, but we had to go to the desk to get them ourselves. After checkout on the next morning, one of the receptionists was kind enough to get me a cup of tea even though the breakfast bar was closed, so that was nice. Couple days later $15 charge appeared on my credit card so I called to ask why and they said it was a day parking fee (which was supposed to be waved) After having to call back to speak to a manager and a couple days later, the fee was refunded. While on the phone, I asked why you charge for parking when your website says free parking and the woman told me that "it is because I booked through Expedia". That just seems really weird to me. does your hotel charge for parking or not? The website says not and Expedia said not. So I'm confused. Just leaving this review, so people know what to expect if you book through Expedia or any other third-party like kayak or hot wire. The hotel staff was very nice and I guess did what they could to try to make up for it. Booking through Expedia (adding-I also did check their website and it did say they had two queen beds available at the same time I booked it, but the hotel staff said that doesn't matter because they don't communicate right away!) I would stay there again, but book directly through the hotel. I don't recommend the breakfast. It definitely wasn't worth $26 plus a tip for buffet style low budget food. And NO it is not a quick (or safe-lots of traffic) walk to Six Flags. The website says 0.10 mile but that is INCORRECT. It is 1.0 mile walking and 0.80 driving. Big difference if you were planning to walk.

Hotel Stay Concern:…read more I am disappointed with my experience at this hotel and would like to share some concerns regarding both the service I received and the condition of my room. I arrived at approximately 8:36 PM and initially asked the front desk employee where the restroom was located. A few minutes later, I inquired about room availability and was immediately told that there were no rooms available. Shortly afterward, I had a minor emergency involving my child and left the property to find an urgent care facility. The urgent care I visited was no longer accepting patients, so I returned to the hotel about 20 minutes later. While sitting in the parking lot, I checked the Marriott app and noticed that a room was showing as available for booking. This was confusing because I had just been informed by the front desk that there were no rooms available. I went back inside and told the employee that I saw an available room online. I mentioned that I had previously been told there were no vacancies, and her response was simply, "Oh, that happens sometimes." I was able to check in, but the entire situation left me questioning why I had initially been told there was no availability. After settling into my room, I went back outside briefly to place my parking pass in my vehicle. When I returned, I politely asked the same employee about the welcome gifts I noticed sitting behind the desk. As a Marriott Gold member, I have typically received a welcome gift during previous stays. The employee responded by saying that the items were not gifts and were for guests who checked in, or something to that effect. Since she was standing at the desk with another customer but there was no active conversation taking place, I thought it would be appropriate to ask a quick question before returning to my room. Her response was, "I'll check when I'm done." At that point, I simply said, "Okay, just give me a call in my room and let me know," and walked away. While I understand that misunderstandings can happen, I felt that the employee's overall demeanor toward me was dismissive and unwelcoming. The combination of being told there were no rooms available when one became available shortly afterward, along with the interaction regarding the welcome gift, left me feeling uncomfortable. I cannot say for certain what the reason was, but I left the interaction feeling as though I was treated differently than I should have been. Additionally, the refrigerator in my room is making loud, continuous noises, which is making it difficult to relax and get proper rest. I hope management will review these concerns and address them appropriately to ensure a better experience for future guests.
