I really enjoyed our first time visit. We went on a Sunday afternoon after a performance at the Morrison Center. It was pretty deserted but it was only 5:30 or so. We were looking for a light bite, not a dinner and this filled the bill nicely. The cocktail menu was extensive with very "creative" labeling. Keep in mind, this is an over 21 only. We sat on the upstairs patio, enjoying the late afternoon sun, the flowers and the architecture of this and surrounding buildings. The cheese board/marinated olives and artichokes/baguette with dipping oils to share was just enough along with a "Parcel of Stardust" available with either alcoholic or nonalcoholic gin for each of us. Service was excellent and we enjoyed it very much.

Ohh! Such a wonderful little find in Boise! We could not believe we were still in our hometown. Even with the cooler weather last night, the fireplaces kept us nice & comfortable. Wine selection is amazing!

I started going to Ocho's a couple years back for the salsa lessons and social dancing. The inside was under reconstruction but the potential was magical. Fast forward to 2020 and COVID hit - dancing inside became a fond memory. The people at Ocho's did not give up on the dream or the magic. You have to see this place to believe it. It's gorgeous inside and out. The patio is intimate but you can still maintain social distancing. Masks are required if not at your table/seats, all the servers were wearing masks and sanitizing between guests, and hand sanitizer was available for the patrons. They have a lovely selection of small plates, wine, beer, and cocktails. Looking forward to being on the dance floor getting my bachata on in 2021!

    Great outdoor seating. Very cozy.

Intrigued, was I when I first saw this building empty a few years ago. I wondered to myself, is it for sale? Could I possibly afford to buy or rent this space and make it something special since the building was so unique and beautiful? Well I waited too long, but there are no regrets! What the owners of this establishment have done is extraordinary. First and foremost, I am SO, SO, SO happy that they kept with the integrity of this property and seem to value its history and incredible bones. It's such a charming building with a long history and in too many cases, our historic buildings are not being cared for and eventually meet their demise only to be met with a beige, cookie cutter, modern establishment that blocks the views of our gorgeous foothills and all usually to make a buck. This darling building was built in 1892 which makes it one of the older buildings in the city. It was designed in the very unique, intricate, Flemish, Romanesque architecture style and has geothermal heating throughout the building as well. The fireplaces that are intact seem to be in original condition and the wrought iron details throughout the property are still evident and stunning. It's such a beautiful building and I hope that they sustain this business and it's there for a long time! I love the outdoor seating, which is ample, and it's peaceful and quiet. The staff is stupendous! They are just the sweetest and most accommodating people I've met in a while. They are knowledgeable, friendly, prompt, and they remember your name too! My friend Ashli and I had a cheese plate the last time we visited and it was very delicious, fresh, and colorful. You can pick and choose which cheeses you prefer and there are plenty other yummy items that you can also add to your plate for a little extra. The drinks are phenomenal. I was so pleased with the inventiveness of the cocktails. The flavors and alcohol are balanced and fresh and on a cool evening, these drinky treats delight and warm you up inside! (The photos that I have attached speak for themselves!) As many know, (or maybe aren't aware), Boise has the second largest Basque population only second to Spain and France. I do believe that this particular establishment may be Basque, based on the name, but I am not certain. Anyone else who may have that information is more than welcome to share it here in the comments. This has now become one of my favorite spots to frequent and although I pray that business is GREAT for the owners, I hope it stays intimate and doesn't get too over run, but I suppose this gleaming review may not help with that! ;-) It's all good and I love OCHO'S and will be back as often as I can! Thank you for being a part of Boise and the history of this beautiful city!

Great place for outdoor cocktails and conversation. We called ahead and reserved the big fire pit outside. It can probably sit 10-12. I ordered the Ichi Ni San Chil and the Royal Disposition. Both cocktails were well balanced, not too sweet and not too shy of alcohol either. We were able to bring outside food but we also ordered the artichokes and olives sides. The portion size were enough to snack on for 4 ppl after we split a sandwich and two sides from the Basque Market nearby. I look forward to coming back to try the other cocktails and the build-your-own charcuterie board.

What a charming, thoughtful place! Here we have a Peat Bog Boogie and my better half's is a Don Diego de la Vega. Both delicious.

A nice renovated location in old Boise. Great ambiance and service is a match. Drinks are unique, elaborate, and delicious.

First time trying this place! Great atmosphere on the patio. The drinks were incredible. Pricey for what I'm used to in Boise but worth it. We built our own cheese plate and the portions were big and so tasty. The server gals were sweet too. Will definitely be back!

Great atmosphere! Loved the outdoor area and the drinks were fantastic. Suggest Luck in the Chamber or Toil & Trouble or Honey Bitch.
