This was my first time visiting this location (in person). I feel like I may have ordered from them via Uber Eats before (I cannot confirm nor deny this..). It almost next door to Lotte, so figured why not check it out. Staff was very friendly/accommodating. They have SO MANY preparations/variations of Biryani. I was curious about most of them, but unfortunately, there weren't any pictures available online or on the menus. I've never had (or heard of) jackfruit biryani, but we will definitely try it next time, Malabar style. We decided to play it safe and get the Malabar veg biryani, medium spicy. We came specifically for the dosas after seeing them on the menu photos in Google. When we arrived for lunch, there were no dosas at all, and the staff seemed genuinely surprised we even asked. We stayed and ordered the gobi Manchurian and paneer tikka masala. Both were bland despite being spicy, which is a frustrating combination. We could not finish either dish. To top it off, the food was served on paper plates with plastic cups, and the staff were indifferent throughout. The photos other people posted looked great, but our experience did not match. I was surprised by the flavors of the Biriyanis and kept praising about the awesome taste of the Gurthi Vankaya (Egg plant) Biriyani and the staff recommendation for the Raju Gari Mutton Biriyani. We also got a Gobi 65 for an appetizer. The service was quick and served in perfectly. The seating is simple and has booths and tables like any restaurant Highly recommend this place try everything. Good place for take-out. Looks like they are targeting only take-out orders. For dine-in too, they give food in the boxes. So don't go expecting a full service dine in. Food is good. The person taking orders is polite. However, he is the only person managing both phone calls and walk-in orders. Mutton biryani and chicken starters are good. Honestly this is my favorite place to get biryani in the DMV. Point blank period. Take a look at their biryani menu. It's endless. However, everything I've tried so far has been a hit. I am docking one star for the fact that it's been carry out only since the pandemic. I wish they would allow dine-in. I live quite far from here so whenever I carry out biryani it's pretty cold by the time I'm home. I'd rather sit and eat here. Biriyani was awesome. We ordered Malabar and Chettinadu chicken biriyani. Both had different flavors. I liked Malabar as it had coconut flavor. Pepper chicken was good. It was less spicy and kids enjoyed it. Service is good. The place is small...but when 8 of arrived they quickly arranged the tables for us. Most people just take away. Food is extremely greasy though, much higher than other Indian restaurants. And they serve paper plates. So definitely not a premium experience if you are looking for that. read more

This place has the best biriyanis I've had. The Raju Mutton is my fav. I drove 4 hrs to DC/VA for this biriyani and ordered 5 for me and to share with my bff. Of the 5, I also tried the raju chicken which tastes the same, so I will stick with the raju mutton. Got some chicken biriyani which had cashew in it, like that will order again. Hands down the best Biryani in the area. We've literally started ordering a tray every week for lunch. Have tried several different biryani items and they are all amazing. The flavor & spice level is unbelievable. I don't know about other food items since have never tried those items. The biryani here is fantastic. The best I've had in nova next to homemade. The taste is consistent and so so good. I've tried the mutton, chicken, keema, and ragu jari. I've not tried the gongurrah yet. I'll restate: the biryani is AWESOME. The saag paneer was also so good, and as a simple dish, I was surprised how good they made it. I also really liked the Apollo fish. And their samosas reminded me of the streets of Delhi getting fresh samosa. I can understand the bad reviews here, and if you read most of them you'll find that they're usually about the time it takes to prepare orders. I have ordered takeout about 6 times now, I call my order in directly and they call me back when it's ready. It can take an hour during busy times. Do not order online if you want your food in a reasonable time. We ordered online and the system told us 20min. We showed up to get our food and we were first told 30-40more mins but then they said they would talk to the chef and could prob do 10-15min. Such a huge range. Super skeptical but it was ready in about 15min after they told us to come back. We were not given white rice with our order. ?!?!?!? Unbelievable. I think we ordered 2 orders of garlic naan and we were given 1 garlic and 1 plain. Everything we ordered was super spicy. Our online ordered specified MILD for a lot of the dishes because we had children to feed. I wasn't at all impressed with Bawarchi. My wife had the chicken tikka masala, and I had the chicken biryani. We also had the buttered naan. The dishes were ok, but not particularly memorable. The biryani uses bone-in chicken, which is fine, but there were pieces of bone in my meal without any meat at all. I'd expect better attention to detail. The service was fine, but the ambiance leaves a lot to be desired. The glass that makes up the walls of the vestibule at the entrance looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months. The walls are a dark faux brick and are decorated with paintings, nearly all of which were crooked. The wait staff was fine, though I would expect at least some sort of uniform, other than random street clothes. Bottom line, I thought the food wasn't great, and the rest of the business lacks attention to detail. That's not a combination that merits a return visit from me. read more

Came here for a lunch buffet on Veteran's Day. The buffet had a nice selection. The chili chicken had a great spice and some heat to it. The butter chicken wasn't cold...but it certainly wasn't hot either. It made me feel like I needed to stick it in a microwave. Fresh naan was brought to our table. Why two stars? This restaurant could use some serious cleaning! Very dirty. The walls are filthy. When I was standing back near the restrooms I could see that there was sauce splattered on the walls and on the men's restroom sign. The walls were knicked and dirty throughout the dining area. The floors could use a good vaccum or mop. If this is the way they present themselves to the public I do not want to see what their kitchen looks like. read more

The paneer chilli was a bit raw in taste. Oh, I ordered for Ras malai but I ended getting served gulab jamun, the waiters also have no idea why. Stopped in for a quick lunch, and because I was in a hurry was happy to see they had a buffet. The atmosphere is very casual. Servers were attentive and friendly. I appreciated them making sure to refill the water glasses frequently because spicy dishes here definitely have a kick. It's not overpowering, in fact it's exactly right-not so hot that you don't want to eat, but hit enough that you're sort of constantly thinking "wow! That's spicy!" The chili chicken was good, but a bit too salty. The Palak paneer was tummy, and had a surprisingly fresh spinach taste. I usually find palak paneer on buffets to be flavorless and watery, but there's was very good. The rest of the dishes were good, not great. I only wish I had a chance to give 0 stars to this place. Definitely not even worth of 1 star. I was here last night with my friends. We were here pretty early like by about 7:30pm. I dont think there were any customers barring 1 or 2 people when we were there. We ordered and a couple of appetizers. It literally took about 30min to have 2 of our appetizers and we still remained patient. The waiter arrived with a green chutney which was completely stinking and we unkowingly served it in our plates. Our plates and table started stinking in no time. We had the appetizers and told them about the sauce and requested them to change the plates. None of them responded properly. I decided to head out as its been close to an hour that we ordered biryani and still didnt arrive. When I moved out paying for what I had, the manager requested us to come back. We came back and then the waiter brought biryani which was one of the worst I've ever had! All of us just tasted and decided to move out. Big NO NO NO to this place!! The manager looked a good person but the food or the service was terrible!. Will never come back again! read more

I once order their special Tandoori Chicken, it was by far the worst I ever had, and surprising they advertise this as their Chef specialty. Sad day, as this is my first review EVER and it's unfortunately, a negative one. I was reaaaaally craving butter chicken so naturally, I went and looked up the nearest place I could order this from and get it delivered! This was my first time ordering here and I ordered through DoorDash so that was a very quick and easy process. Got my food and was super excited to dig in. Until I saw this..... when I say it was lodged in the rice, I really am not exaggerating. As I was about to dip my fork in to grab a bite I noticed it immediately and it looked like a small piece and tbh, I was ready to just toss that part of the rice away but then I went to pull it out and it was a way longer piece than I thought. I hate to be that person but this was just disgusting! And really disappointing because I was super excited for this meal today lol. I knocked off the 4 stars primarily because of this because well.... it's just gross! I contacted DoorDash and everything went smoothly. They refunded me my money back and I let them know of the issue. The butter chicken is very very good, I'll give them that. Quite delicious actually. But if I'm being honest, this just kind of ruined my appetite thinking of how that piece of hair, from someone else's head, had just been sitting in that food item :/ considering everything that's going on right now too, hygiene is just super important and this...wasn't it.
