We catered from Punjabi by Nature for a gathering of about 20-24 people. We got a number of dishes and starters. The food was outstanding and everyone loved it. Samosas, chicken tikka and paneer tikka for starters and chicken tikka masala, lamb kadai, Hakka noiseless, garlic gobi, dal makhani and Delhi chole were all great and enjoyed by our friends. Food is phenomenal. Naan was thin, light and flavorful, not doughy. The Palak Mushroom and Palak Paneer were excellent. One star deducted for a rather rude person at the counter. She tried to tell me that I did not want to order what I wanted, and I heard her arguing with another customer about his order as well. I regularly visit Lotte on the weekend, and regularly choose to get dinner (takeout during COVID) from Punjabi by Nature, which is saying something because there are plenty of fantastic restaurants in this area. On my first visit, I was recommended the chole bhature, and the chole itself had a rich, complex flavor that I can't figure out, even after multiple visits. It's simple unlike any other restaurant chole/chana that I've ever had. The bhature itself was good, if a little rich to make it my regular order. The parathas are soft and flavorful, and since you get two per order, very filling--not the best option when you're just looking for a light snack, I've discovered, but after a few bites, I'm glad I was able to enjoy two. My favorite dish, actually, is the kadai paneer, which is one of the best I've had it in a while. This is definitely a place I will continue to visit, and after this review, I'm trying to make excuses to myself to visit Lotte sooner rather than later, just so I can get some takeout again. read more

This review is for their non-vegetarian platter specials on weekdays. Took my parents to this restaurant located in the Lotte market and all of us decided on their non-vegetarian platter lunch special. The platter looked promising, complete with rice, naan and a side of daal (lentils). The butter chicken that came with the platter had a good sauce, however the actual peices of chicken were odd tasting. Many peices were under-cooked. We let the front desk manager know and he graciously offered to give us another bowl of curry, but we declined as by then we were pretty much done. All of their vegetarian dishes coming out of the kitchen looked great. Perhaps we will go back just to try that one of these days. I do know that this establishment has a good reputation otherwise. I'm South Indian and I have lived in the US for long to know good Indian food. I don't know why there are many bad reviews here, probably I have been a loyal customer till 2017, and when I moved back into the area last week, I went to try their food. Whether you are of Indian origin or not, I highly recommend you try their chur chur naan(stuffed naan bread) with a mix of potato and gobi(cauliflower). They serve with amazing chili pickled onions, butter as a side (yes!), Punjabi style dark chickpea curry and yogurt (raita). I highly recommend that you do a sit-in rather than to-go for their breads cos that's when they taste best. There is lovely seating outside or you could shop at Lotte Asian market (cheaper,cleaner than other Lotte markets and more varieties of tropical fruits and vegetables and greens).Or there is a lovely Korean bakery for you to get your cake samples from. Recently on November 11th 2021, I ordered 1.Paneer kathi Roll 2.Chole Bature 3.Hakka Noodles. Chole Bature- Chole was smelly and Batura was soaked in oil and felt like my mouth is full of spoiled oil.(when asked to owner her words were...hum ji batura aise hi banate hain.) Seriously!!! She was very proud of serving this type of Bhatura from last 13+ years. Paneer kathi roll- Paneer inside the roll was so sour.(when asked to owner... her words were ''Neembu zyada dal gaya hoga'") Hakka Noodles- It was Soy sauce Noodles or my child named it as Black Noodles.(when asked to owner..her words were.. "hum noodles Soy Sauce mein hi banate hain". Does that mean she use only Soy sauce and no other sauce??) TASTELESS BLACK NOODLES - Order it if you want to drink soya sauce. I mean we always think that if one thing is not good may be the other would be better. Thinking that we ordered 3 items and it was a complete waste of $50 and no value for your money. At last we had to order pizza again to fill our tummy. It was piping hot when we got it (just the way we like it) and ate it immediately. The sauce was deliciously flavorful. We got a side of rice to balance it out and it was perfect. While in the Chantilly area one weeknight and desiring Pakistani food, I did several searches on review sites to find that most had poor scores and/or reviews, but this one seemed to have some decent, recent reviews, so I drove to it. Imagine my surprise to not find this place inside the plaza, as I expected, rather the address is for a huge international grocery store called Lotte Plaza. Once inside the Lotte Plaza, there were a lot of ethnic restaurants, including various Asian restaurants. This was inside of the area around the perimeter of the store, but inside the store. When I approached, all their menu boards (flat screen TVs were not displays menus and they had a make-shift curtain hanging between the cash register area and kitchen, to block the view of the kitchen. It just seemed odd, but I gave it a try. They do have a nice, interesting and authentic menu, loaded with many delights grilled inside their Tandoor oven. Their naan was really good! It was thin, but flavorful and sufficient. The samosas were quite spicy and tasty. The ground chicken Seekh kabob was really spicy and flavorful. I really enjoyed the green chutney too... it's chutney made right! The dahl was decent; tasted more like chili. Overall, the food was good and served nicely. The place is horrible... it might be better if it was a push cart on the side of the road, than this place. The service was barely mediocre. Price was fair. read more

The place is the best one for authentic punjabi food. The kabobs such as lamb and chicken are tasty with fresh Naan or roti. My favorite food to get here is the paratha. They have 3 flavors which are potato, cauliflower or daikon. I like the cauliflower the best but I often get two different varieties per order. The paratha comes with achar, homemade butter and raita (yogurt sauce). The tea is also good. read more

The Raita they serve is great too, they are not picky about giving you another little tub for free, if you ask for it.The Mint chutneys are to die for! Both the Mango lassi and the Sweet lassi are awesome. Food can take a while coming out, because they make it fresh. The flavors are ALWAYS spot on! I've been curious about Punjabi by Nature, ever since it opened up a section in Lotte's food court (they have another location out in Leesburg). The menu is pretty extensive, offering items such as choley bhature, jus egg parantha, chicken tikka, lamb seekh, rolls, wraps, curries, and even vegetarian options. I tried their Butter Chicken, while the hubs had their Chicken Tikka Masala. The Butter Chicken was more tomato-focused, rather than the thick creaminess that I usually prefer. I did like the Chicken Tikka Masala better, as it had a nice bite to it, and it was great dipping in the garlic/buttered naan that we ordered in addition to. You can also request the spiciness level, from mild to hot; we did medium, and it had a subtle spiciness to it, but not anything you can really notice. When you order a platter, it comes with your choice of naan or rice, so keep that in mind. The rice was a little on the stale end, so I highly suggest in going for the breads. I'd like to try out their Chicken Curry, the Kadai Chicken, and their Biryani the next time. She was talking the way people in Delhi talk. She gave us recommendations on what to order, and I couldnt wait to try all their dishes. We ordered the following: - Chola Bhatura: This is their signature dish. I have eaten Chola (chick peas) at many Indian restaurants, but nothing comes close to the way its prepared in Delhi. This dish was just perfect. I ate Chola Bhature in Delhi this past April, and I cannot believe that this restaurant prepared it just the same way. I LOVED the Chola/Bhatura. - Malai Kofta: This is very rich in butter, hence, its delicious. - Sev Puri: This is served in a plastic container, and is definitely worth ordering. - Bhel: Server in plastic container and delicious. - Daal Makhani: This is just the way I have eaten in Delhi....rich in butter and delicious. - Paav Bhaaji: This was ok....didnt think it was anything special. I have had better paav bhaaji in New York. - Veggie Biryani: Wasnt a fan....it was mediocre compared to other delicacies offered. My husband ordered 'Chicken Makhani' and cleaned his plate. Dont expect much from the ambiance. Its located inside a grocery store, so you can imagine its not very fancy. Also, dont count calories when you eat here. This is a local gem for food North Indian food in the area. It's inside the Lotte Plaza grocery store. the guy behind the counter is super friendly and suggested good dishes for us. The items are on the pricey side but worth the quantity. And dishes are on the super oily side too but I guess it makes it more delectable :) Items that we have liked are chole bhature (chickpeas and bread), parathas, butter chicken, chicken taka tak. It has by far the best North Indian flavor in all the dishes we had.
