The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, with beautiful prayer wheels and flags. I really enjoyed the food - I got the Tibetan Chicken Momos and the Beef Thenthuk. The Momos were beautiful with a springy wrapper and soft interior. The sauce was spicy and tomato-based. Super bright and exciting w. My favorite part was the Thenthuk - The peppery broth had such a unique and comforting taste that you have to try. The chopped fresh veggies were a nice addition to brighten it. We got the steamed veggie dumplings, the fried chicken dumplings and the sweet and sour tofu with white rice. the best dish was the tofu as the sauce was very good so it made for a flavorful dish. portion size for each entree was good but the dumplings were a bit of a disappointment. they were not bad but i have had better elsewhere nice atmosphere, quick service but average food read more

Himalayan Kitchen was a hidden gem and I'm really glad I made the visit. The inside has some cool traditional interior and the service was quick. The food was definitely the best part. We had the steam and butter curry Momo, I would definitely recommend the butter curry, and really enjoyed those and set the bar high. Both of the mains I had were even better though. We got the butter curry chicken momos, fried beef momos, chili chicken (comes with white rice), beef fried rice, and the vegetable flat noodle soup. It was all sooo good. It's not heavy on the salt which allows you to eat the entire dish without getting tired of it or oversalted. They seem to have more business now, which is fantastic. Nothing else has changed: Food is just as delicious, staff is friendly if brusque (I prefer this, frankly), I certainly wouldn't change a thing about it. This place is a MUST GO! There is ample street parking outside that is free. The place is quite big with lots of tables but coming here on a weeknight this place was FULL. This is a mom and pop place so keep that in mind as I've only ever saw the two owners cooking, taking orders, and bussing tables. However, there is GREAT QUICK NICE service always! She is always so cheerful, answers questions, and refills your waters attentively. The food comes out fairly quickly as well. We've gotten the butter curry momos and tibeten spicy momos. Pro strategy is get half chicken and half beef. Last time we were there they sold out of beef! Momos are a MUST here and you won't leave unhappy. I've been wanting to go to this place for so long and am so glad I finally got the chance to go! I thought they had closed down permanently and was so sad but was excited to see they were only closed temporarily. Their Tibetan Spicy Momo was DELICIOUS. The skin of the momos were so chewy and slippery, which sounds weird but trust me, it was amazing. The sauce was also really good. It came with 8 momos and we were able to get half chicken and half beef. I got the beef thukpa, which was really good, I liked the noodles a lot, but I thought the broth was a little bland. It could've used more spices and salt. Our server was great. She was really nice and funny and super efficient. Great ambiance as well. Wow. Legit, authentic, Asian food that's NOT on Buford Hwy !! Here is a unique alternative to Chinese or Indian. It is somewhere inbetween. One of the staples seem to be a wheat based noodle in a few forms. As long "spaghetti", as short, flat noodles (what we call dumplings in the South USA) and as a wrapper for veggie, beef, or chicken meatballs. These are similar to what Asians call dumplings. Pinched pasta based pillows filled, then steamed. I tried the short pasta dry (not soup) with chicken and veg. Very much like an Asian version of our southern chicken n dumplings. I also tried thier filled pasta with spicy sauce which was like a sweet spaghetti sauce with a kick. Medium spicy to me. The beef version were smoky flavored, the chicken were not. Very UNIQUE dishes. It actually does have its own thing going on, which I found valuable for the times you want something different and pleasing. Next time ill try the long noodles, perhaps in broth. Huge potential here to dial in EXACTLY what ill come here for. Ill probably not have the short non soup noodles, as, just l8ke southern dumplings, they are chunks of dense dough and like little gut bombs. Very filling. Enough to share for sure. Think Gnocchi level density. I've got a suspicion the long noodle soup is the thing here. By the way, all the noodles are made on premises BY HAND. So this is a totally legit, Buford Hwy experience right here in Smyrna ! read more

This is a delightful little restaurant. It's the kind of place a foodie enjoys. Unpretentious and welcoming. I'm always interested in testing a new cuisine an Himalayan is a good start. Imguessing this place is known for its mono. This is the Himalayan rendition of a potsticker or a large ravioli- aka a stuffed noodle. We tried the beef and chicken ones and a plate of special Mimi which are deep fried and oooooh so good. By the time we left I was stuffed and a doggy bag. Service is excellent, prices are reasonable. The spicy ones were amazing too but they were soooo spicy. I love spice and my lips were tingling a few minutes afterwards. Service was prompt and the ambiance was quaint. I love seeing the Tibetan art on the walls. The momo. I order to go. The momo didn't make it home. We devoured it on the way home after a small taste. It was hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The little side sauce packed a lot of spicy flavor. It was hot but not unbearably hot. Definitely recommend seeking out this little gem for dine in or takeout. Visited this establishment for lunch since I had heard so many good things. I was NOT disappointed! The food is incredible! Very seldom do you taste homemade essence and love in restaurant food but Himalayan Kitchen pours so much flavor and authenticity into their dishes. We ordered the butter curry momos, veggie noodle soup, and beef fried rice. The dumplings were decadent and filling! The noodles were also spectacularly chewy and juicy. All of our food was served hot and fresh, really nice since the weather has been so cold. Portion sizes are not skimpy either! Service is beyond exceptional; our waitress was on top of making sure we had all we needed at the table and even gave us updates on how close our food was to being done.
