I asked the front desk about the consultation fee, and she said "oh that should have been removed at appointment time, it's a hold fee if I no show". I asked if that was the case, then why was I charged it last month. The person at the front desk told me in no way was I charged a consultation fee last month for my appointment. So I looked her straight in the eye and said, then check. A minute to two later, she just says, I went back in our records, saw the charge, and you will see the refund on your CC in a few days. No apologies or anything. It was rude to not have any customer service here, especially since I was told I was wrong when I was indeed, correct. For my facial. The aesthetician wore gloves the entire time. I didn't love that, and tried to not think about it too much. For the dermaplane, she used a machine to remove the hair, which I have never experienced before, and it was not great. I don't understand how that is better than a fine blade. Then, to remove the whiteheads/blackheads, ANOTHER machine was used. It felt like my sensitive skin was literally raked over by both machines. The next day my face was raw. I can accept my facial didn't meet my standards, but the asking for a tip on injectable service and no customer service when a mistake was made, means I won't be back. There are a bunch of other locations to try instead. Good pricing on injectables though.

A few times I came to the studio, the paddles were down or something was malfunctioning with the machine. I don't know if that affected my treatments, but I can for sure say that it was not worth the cost. Sure, maybe celebrities or the ultra wealthy see a difference having this done on a regular basis, but a normal person will not be able to afford that many treatments to get results, and I wish Doc Melina was honest about that instead of selling me on a package.
