Decided to order some takeout for my trip back west and was happy I stopped in here! I walked in and told them I'd like to order takeout and they said sure, here's a menu! After looking it over I decided to order a burger with fries. The bacon burger came with queso to dip your burger in and a large helping of fries. Overall, the fries and the burger tasted pretty "normal". Nothing special from any other type of restaurant. They asked me how I wanted my burger cooked, I said medium, it came out well done, but that is what it is, you know? Overall, wouldn't come back if I was in the area but it wasn't bad! read more

Was there for food. Bill-doe? I think that's his name (weird) dude was def in a great mood, super friendly and super fun, I asked if the poutine had veggies in it and he told me no but we are handicapped accessible. Which makes sense if you think about it. 7.5 stars out of 5. Best mint chocolate chip martini I've had in a while. Will definitely return. Keep pumping out good food and I'll be back. We stayed in Milan New Hampshire this weekend and ventured into town after reading reviews for this place. Located on a one way street in Berlin, New Hampshire in the right hand side is "The Hydro Tavern". They're a walk in and sit anywhere type of place, so we took one of the few booths they had against the back wall. They had a few other tables, with several seating options around as well. They also seemed to have a full bar. The place had photos of the area and the famous Mount Washington on the walls and really cool metal cut outs. The place was decorated well. There is a small lip into the restaurant, but as long as there is someone to help, it could be handicap accessible. Tight fit though, as the place isn't that big. We ordered drinks and an app of soft pretzels. The dips that came with it, were phenomenal. Then we each got a different meal. I got the Salisbury steak, which was very good. My sister got a maple glaze chicken sandwich, and my mom got their steak tips. We really enjoyed the entire meal, I mean everyone was pleased. They had an amazing amount of different kinds of poutine and Stromboli. We did see and smell someone else's steak tip poutine and I wished I'd ordered that... the waitress was also the host and bartender. She was wonderful. She was efficient and helpful. If there was less than a one star I would rate it as that! Today I ordered the pizza special (advertised as a pizza with ranch dressing, cheese and pickles). When I it came to our table it had bacon. Which I am sure would be delicious for most people, but I have Alpha Gal Syndrome, so with a meat allergy would have sent me into anaphylaxis. The waitress could have cared less. Still charged us for the meal and said "it was miscommunication between chefs". But, hey, she offered me a dessert! We paid for it & took it home for my husband. But, really? You could have sent me to the hospital. You people really don't care about your customers! read more

Hydro is very hit-and-miss, but Exile was closed, so I tried to have dinner at Hydro. Waited six minutes in the middle of the bar area for someone to tell me where to sit ("anywhere"). Sat at the bar directly in front of three employees. Waited about seven minutes for a menu or to be asked what if I wanted a drink, trying to get their attention. Gave up and left. Called to explain why I'd just left. The employee who answered was polite, apologized, said they were busy and understaffed, and asked if I wanted to talk to a manager. I said yes. Before I could say anything further, the manager said "I don't know you" and "don't ever come back" and hung up on me. I guess expecting to have some sort of service within 15 minutes is unacceptable. I will follow his instructions. Hydro is sometimes okay, sometimes bad, but never worth this. read more

We ordered a Stromboli, turkey burger and poutine and everything was absolutely amazing! We will definitely order from the hydro again!

Stopped in for lunch while out on the ATV trails. Place has a huge menu and they update it every two months. I ordered the TNT burger, wife got a Big Smack Pizza. We also both split buffalo wings. The wings were crispy and the heat was on point - not too much not too little. The burger was also really good - heat was on point and it was cooked exactly like I asked. Fries were great and crispy. From the wife - the big smack was full of flavor but beware it's LOADED down with toppings, it's gonna have some flop. Maddy (our server) was very nice and fun to talk to. Small town, rustic but charming little tavern. Lively but not loud, very nice and supportive staff. Wife thought her quesadilla was solid mid, my burger was simple and cleanly preped and presented. Darn good fries and waitress was prompt and friendly. Pretty varied menu for a small tavern, something for everybody. read more

The buffalo chicken tenders were excellent; good heat and crispy. They did charge for the ranch and blue cheese, which was surprising as I've never had a restaurant charge for the dips before (but that's fine). The poutine was too salty and the fries were too soggy for my liking; I was not able to finish it. The waitress was nice and even offered us a generous sample of the cider they had on tap. read more

Absolutely love the food!! Kind and attentive staff, we have been here many many times and have yet to be disappointed with the food. Love that they also offer a gluten free pizza crusts, hard to find gluten free options in Berlin. Definitely recommend as a place to stop if you're in Berlin. Stopped going to Fagan's because the bartender is a complete witch. Insolence and rudeness have no place in waitstaff. She is rude to anyone not in her clique. Started hanging any place but Fagan's. Hydro Tavern opened and I was happy. I now had a place to go that was close enough to walk -- why I got a home where I did. Who's the bartender? The same Krassy Krissy. She is still insolent and rude. One customer paid the tab and left after being insulted by Krassy Krissy. She's wench of the first water and has no business in public service. Going back to Fagan's now that she's not there. The food is great. The manager, think his name is Mark, is great. The service -- meh. read more
