We went to Gorham House of Pizza twice during our three day trip to the area. "House of Pizza" restaurants are honestly one of the greatest things in New England. Every town has one, they all have their own unique vibe, and yet at the same time, you know what to expect at one. I mean, I've literally been to the Gorham HOP in Gorham, ME, too and it's just as good. Gotta love it. My two meals were a turkey sub and a burger and I'd give both of them five stars on their own. My partner's pizza and sub were also very good. The mozzarella sticks and the chicken fingers were just okay I think - those are the low points. Remarkably bad service. Maybe the worst I've had in years. I was on hold for over 20 minutes. I stayed on hold because it was clear they put the phone down. I could hear them, a little busy but it's a Thursday. I drove all the way down, walked over to the counter. The phone was still there, I was still on hold. The lady came over, asked what I wanted. I told her she could hang up the phone, I was the one on hold for 20 minutes. She said "yeah, we stopped taking phone orders for a while". I said "apparently" and walked out. Passing through town and stopped by for a couple of subs, a chicken tender kids meal and a small curly fry. The establishment was clean and the employees were friendly. There wasn't anything wrong with our food, but it wasn't great. I was very surprised by how little there was given with the kids meal for the price and the portion size of the curly fry as well. I was charged an extra $.50 for a bbq I never even received and was charged an extra $1.52 to use a card. They also charge an extra $1.00 to add jalepeno to a sub?? This up charge was never brought up during the ordering process. I don't live anywhere near this establishment, but if I did I wouldn't return based on the quantity of food vs the price. There are too many other options in town to get charged for using a card and sauces that you didn't receive. read more

Good food, prices, service. Counter service, so that's the ambiance you get. Not a giant place but seating inside and outside. Eat from here several times a week. Under new ownership, but new owner worked here under old owner we understand. Pizza, subs, hot and cold. A few good dinners shrimp, haddock, etc. Very good to have it open again. read more

My Wife and I went there last week ordered some onion rings and a large meat lovers pizza with extra cheese and well done. The onion rings came out fairly quickly and were okay, a little over done. An hour goes by and still no pizza. We started noticing several other groups who came in after us getting there food and we haven't seen our pizza. My Wife goes up to the counter and is told they some how forgot to make our pizza. My Wife heads home and I wait for the large Pizza to go, only to be given 2 smalls now an hour and fifteen minutes. So I waited an hour a fifteen minutes, don't get what I ordered and am simply offered a free desert for the inconvenience. $41.00 for a Pizza, onion rings and 2 sodas at $4.50 each is a little steep. And a $5 tip because everything was prepaid. The small pizzas sucked by the way gave indigestion and the sh*ts. Good luck eating there, we won't be again. read more

We were going to white mountain and decided to find a place to eat in Gorham. We were thrilled that they had cauliflower crust. We ordered the Greek one with extra cheese on it and garlic bread. Everything was perfect. You couldn't tell it was cauliflower crust if you didn't know. One pizza was enough for both of us for two meals. We would go back. Pizza was delicious! We're from out of town and had to make a last minute decision about where to get food not realizing how early places closed. My daughters and I love to come here and get their gluten free pizza. They have one of the best GF pizza's around. My husband loves their regular pizza and wings. The service has mostly been good. Friendly staff with only one incident when our order was mixed up. They had made a different pizza than I had ordered. They offered to make the correct pizza. My wife and I stopped here while coming off a hike in the nearby White Mountains fairly late. It looked like an ordinary pizza joint but turned out to be a place that had a wide variety of pizza and some homemade soups. We ordered a vegetarian pizza that had broccoli, spinach, green peppers and onions that was scrumptious. But the real surprise of this place was their soup.
