We've been wanting to add real backsplash to our kitchen for quite some time. Initially used the…read morepeel and stick stickers which started peeling off days after and making our kitchen look unsightly. I knew it was time to hire someone to do the job. Reached out to George who was responsive and professional. He came to our house the following day to give us a quote and had us on the schedule for the job. He suggested to remove the existing couple of inches of backsplash for a cleaner install and to position the tiles vertically to highlight the design. He also suggested to use dark colored grout to accentuate the streaks on the tile. He used the upstand he removed and cut it to make a window sill for our kitchen window too. I can tell George is a very artistic person and it shows in his work. For someone like me whose creativity is almost non-existent, I'm grateful that George gave his suggestions along the way. The install was very clean and he laid protection on the floor and the kitchen surfaces. In my opinion, the quote was fair when you consider the level of worksmanship and his professionalism. He cannot be trusted. Nothing he says is real. And I have the documentation to back every bit of this up. I wish I had dug deeper before hiring him. That's saying a lot because my family moved into a brand new build back in 2017, so we have had many, many people come through for projects. What made my experience with Gerald so great was absolutely everything that matters. He was always on time, always responsive, always a perfectionist, and always pleasant (no matter how early in the morning or late in the evening he was working). I am known by those close to me as an extreme perfectionist. Gerald is the one person who absolutely never let me down with his work (although it could be more accurately described as art). I'm the type of person who if I see one thing that looks off, it will eat at me literally every time I pass through that room. Gerald installed tile and baseboards both inside and outside of my house and after walking through those areas countless times, I still have yet to see anything that doesn't look absolutely perfect. Aside from being an absolute master of his craft, Gerald is incredibly generous with his time. He treats every project as if the house he's working on is the house that his family comes home to everyday. For example, while I was doing a walk through with him after everything was wrapping up, I was ready to sign everything off and thank him for a job well done. Well, during the walk through, Gerald pointed out a couple of things that were bothering him and he vowed to come back the next day to fix them even though I didn't even notice anything was off. So, if I'm an extreme perfectionist, then I guess Gerald is in a class all by himself. Even after making those extremely detail oriented fixes, Gerald came back to patch things up on his own time and also to clean up the mess that some other installers left on their job. Specifically, they chipped a few of the baseboards that he installed and straight up took an entire corner piece off the wall. The look of horror on his face when he saw the damage they did to his perfectly installed baseboards said it all. The man looked like someone absolutely ripped his soul out. It really spoke to how seriously he takes his jobs and how much pride he takes in his work. I really wish this level of pride and passion were more prevalent in all people when it comes to their chosen professions. Overall, I could go on and on with reasons why you should go with this business and not even think twice. However, I will choose to end the review now and simply trust that my experience helped you in making your own decision. We work really hard to pay for our homes, so it's important that those we select to work on it, work equally hard.
