We went here for a Murder Mystery Dinner. What a great show! The actors were in character as soon as you walk into the doors. You are seated immediately with the salad ready at your table. Dinner comes first so the salad and entree came at the beginning while the characters/actors mingle and introduce themselves. The food was alright. I ordered Country Fried Steak as my main entree. After eating the main entree, they did the First Act. The characters were hilarious and interacted with the audience. Then came dessert and I ordered the cheesecake. After dessert, they did the Second Act then we guessed as a team whodunit. They change murderers every weekend so you can go multiple times and bring your friends! I wouldn't suggest this place for the food but the show was amazing!

Went here with visiting family and we had a really fun time with a very good meal. The show had great timing and interacted with the audience really well. It was really funny and a good challenge to figure out who was the killer. Everything was excellent with a great price.

I decided to try this place for my birthday with some friends. The reservation process is very user-friendly and selecting your meal beforehand makes for quick service. Parking is not easy close to the theater due to the small location, so carpool if possible. The dining area is small, but that means that everyone can hear the actors easily. The food is nothing special, but it is good and I particularly enjoyed the mousse cake I got for dessert. The show is what makes Texas Star worth the price tag. The actors are very polished performers and do great improv with the audience. It was over-the-top, silly and overall a great show. My crew and I laughed through the whole story and agreed that it was a great birthday party. We'll be keeping an eye out for new scripts, because the cast really knows how to put on a show!

Most important things first: full bar with service before and during the show! The food is good - we had the beef (chicken fried steak, veggies, mashed potatoes) and the fish (tilapia, rice, veggies), plus salads and desserts. We weren't expecting much from dinner, but it was good and served super quickly! The show is hilarious and definitely worth a visit. The seating is comfortable, there are tables of 4, 6, and 8, so you may end up meeting some new friends, depending on your group size. It was funny and a good mystery, and there are no bad seats in the place. Servers were fast and responsive, actors and fun and interactive, and everyone gets a photo afterward (if you want one). Parking is the only part that not ideal. We got there early and got a lucky spot, but you may have to pay to park in the garage across the street or find downtown parking. They do have two lots for the theater, shared with the adjoining bar (Chill), but the spots go fast!

This place was so much fun! I usually have a pretty good time at venues like these, but I think most people will enjoy a cute bit of theater and a fun meal! The meal better than I anticipated. There is plenty of parking nearby. The "theater" Is also the dining area, so you are in the thick of it! Don't worry though - it is only mildly interactive, so even the introverts like me will be ok. The tables seat six, so be aware you will be meeting some new friends unless you are in a group of six or more. Just an fyi, they encourage small children to stay at home to ensure the experience is enjoyable for everyone. Fun times!

This murder mystery was so much fun! The cast was funny, entertaining, and interacted well with each other as well as with us. The servers and service were both great, too. Parking isn't great, though. We had to park down the block and being unfamiliar with the area...it wasn't the best. The food was fresh and pretty good. I requested bbq sauce instead of a pesto. I wasn't sure if I would actually get it but I did! The venue is not too big and not too small but it did get pretty loud from everyone talking and having fun! If you're looking for a fun place to go, I highly recommend Texas Star Murder Mystery in Grapevine, Texas! I hope to take friends and family to an upcoming show. I would have given 5 stars except for the parking.

I've always wanted to a do a murder mystery dinner ever since I figured out what they were. Low and behold, my friend was hitting the big 3-0, and this is what she wanted to do for her birthday! I of course was the last one in my group to show up. I walked to the front desk, and checked in. After checking in I then was taken to my table. As I was being seated, I was surprised anticipating a stage .However, I was delighted to find out the actors would be acting around the audience. Shortly, we were informed by one of the actors the schedule for the evening, and then were served our dinner. The dinner was a three course meal (that you choose ahead of time with your ticket). Of course, I'm always skeptical with food at events like this being tasty; however, my food was a a large portion, and was very flavorful. You could order drinks on the cocktail and wine menu for extra charge, and of course I got the house wine, and tried a Nutella cocktail. In regards to the show, the cast was very funny and cheesy. We, as well as most teams, were able to solve the mystery. I had a great time taking notes, trying to figure out all the clues, and interacting with my friends ad the actors in the process. The restrooms were clean and easily accessible, and the staff was very attentive. Overall, I would love to come back again! I loved the show, and recommend to everyone to try out at least once. You can bet your lunch money that I will be checking their schedule soon to see upcoming shows.

This was such a fun date night! We had such a great time laughing so much and relaxing with great food and drinks. The area was very spacious, the food options were perfect and the actors were very funny especially with the improv. The interactions with the performance was classy and hilarious. We ended up guessing the murderer but the whole experience was really fun and we look forward to going back again!

Never a dull moment when the actors include the guests

There are no signs in the parking lot identifying where this theatre could be hiding. Nothing on the side I eventually parked on. My friend and I are both handicapped. The theatre claims to be handicapped accessible. The handicapped parking places are the closest to where you have to enter to hike into the theatre. When I got out of my car, the parking lot was littered with rocks from a landscaping bed. This was not a day or two of rocks, but an accumulation from neglect. This is definitely a mall in the throw's of death. After making it through the Land of Rocks, it was on to an area that had concrete bumps and was the crosswalk.it was on a blind curve, so cars came speeding around the corner. One car thought it appropriate to speed past me even though I had entered the crosswalk. Now, I had entered the walk from the parking lot to the theatre. Even though this is 100 yards, there are no benches or seating. So once you enter this area you can't rest or sit. My friend was entering from the other direction and he felt equally challenged. Once we made it to the theatre and got in the Libby there was no seating there either. We are considered to be very god at walking, by it this was challenging for both of us. We made our way to the theatre and all I can say is thank goodness we didn't have to walk the length of the theatre inside. When we got to our seats, we had to sit in the first row at the same level as the entrance. Neither of us are comfortable with climbing stairs. The seats were comfortable and the temperature was pleasant. The movie got over at 9:25. I was very uncomfortable walking to my car alone. With a dead mall and very few people I would say it is not safe for someone with a disability. Make sure you have some kind of spray to deter an attacker. AMC needs to remodel this theatre to have front doors that open directly to the parking lot. This is unacceptable and I am reporting this theatre as it is not handicap accessible. Neither my friend or I will ever return to this theatre. Plus the tickets were $21.00 each even with a senior discount. Shameful. Stay at home to watch your movies. Why put yourself through this.

The event was held at a hotel downtown Dallas in one of the conference rooms. The event had a cash bar (cocktails and beer), and a four course meal. There were pass hors d'oeuvres before the event began. Once you were seated at your assigned table, they began the meal with a salad. The croutons were stale. I didn't touch my salad after a few bites. For the entree, we had a choice between fish or chicken, so my fiancé and I ordered one of each. For our event, the option was a grilled salmon with a side of broccolini, or grilled chicken breast with a side of house potatoes. Overall, the entrees were better than expected, but nothing to really rave about. For dessert, they sliced up 4 different types of cakes for each person to sample. They were pretty standard. The venue had valet parking, but you can find a spot via SpotHero to self park. The men and women ("detectives") leading the mystery hunt made the whole night enjoyable! This is a PG-13 event and there were some inappropriate jokes tossed round. We laughed so much, and got to meet a lot of nice people! FYI, you will need to get out of your seat to "interrogate" the people in the room to try to figure out who the "killer" is. There are actors and actresses hidden within the audience, which made it so much more fun!
