I saw Liz last week and wow, her massage is so intuitive. I've gotten many massages before, so I truly feel that I understand when someone is being intuitive and when they are not. Liz has intuitive hands. Not only does she know where to touch, at the beginning of the session, she ask what area you're looking to work on and what the reasoning is. For example, she asked me if I was looking for stress relief, pain, etc. She spent a good amount of time in the areas that I told her and really took care of making sure the pressure points released. I felt so relaxed in the atmosphere and the setting of her massage room. The setting was paired with music, low lights, and beautiful aromatics, and the table was comfortable and warm. She also checked with me to ask if I was okay with the music, if the bed heat needed to be adjusted, and if I was ok with the lighting setting. I felt super nurtured. From our conversations, I can tell how much she cares about taking care of her clients and that she does this Massage work because she's passionate about it, not just because it's a job. Liz is absolutely fantastic and I'm so grateful to have found her I've had migraines all my life and have arthritis in my neck, shoulders, arms, and hands. The pain in my neck and shoulders causes myofascial clusters (knots) to form in the soft tissue in my upper back. These cause severe pain in my entire upper body - head, neck, shoulders, arms, upper back! I just had a left shoulder replacement a couple of weeks ago and need my right shoulder replaced as well. I recently arrived to the area and desperately needed a massage and some relaxation. After a quick Google search, I found Hygge Holistic Massage. The space is clean and comfortable. Liz gave a warm greeting and check-in was quick and easy. I noticed she was very good about COVID safety measures such as wearing her mask, not re-using pens, hand sanitizer out, etc. The massage room was super cozy, comfortable, and smelled like heaven! Liz had a sound machine with some quiet, calming ocean noises, very relaxing music playing softly, and a diffuser or something that made the room smell delicious and soothing without being overpowering. The massage bed was super comfortable and heated! Yay! Liz asked me about what I had going on and any special areas I needed focus. I explained to her that I have a sedentary desk job and also that I have a lot of jaw tension as I tend to clench (probably stress!). I opted for a 75 minute massage with a bonus 15-minute jaw/scalp/face massage. Now, I have gotten a lot of massages in my time (my last one was in November), but this one took the cake. She hit every pressure point and area I didn't know I needed attention on. It was the strangest and most wonderful sensation-- my jaw tingled and almost felt like it was hurting more at times (I often have jaw pain to the point that it keeps me up at night), and as soon as she released pressure from where she would be working on my back, my jaw felt gradually looser. It was incredible. The whole massage was so relaxing. I felt like I was floating! Liz has magic hands and a true gift. The check out was quick and easy and Liz checked in with me to see how I was feeling. My massage was yesterday and I slept like a baby last night and feel great today! Seriously?! I am SO grateful I found Liz through my coworker. I was having significant shoulder and back pain which was causing me to be quite discontent. On recommendation I booked a 2 hour appointment with Liz. I showed up to the address and was just a smidge unsure if I was in the right place because I din't notice any signs. I walked into the building and it was instant heaven. MMmmmm...it smells so good. The room has books to read and cozy chairs to sit in while you wait. Liz came out, ahead of schedule and welcomed me to her room of Zen. I gave her the scoop on my various ailments and folks...let me tell you...her massage was off the rails good. At one point I was thinking...darn, this is going to end soon...and...it kept going. Oh man was two hours a gift to myself. The best part was that in the following days I had *significantly* less pain than I did before being seen by her. *Swoon* I booked a second appointment that same visit for a month later and chose the 90 minute sesh. I should have just booked for the full two hours. Duly noted. Don't get me wrong....it was equally amazing...I just wanted MORE. Liz came into the room and from THE VERY FIRST TOUCH she was on a spot that I didn't even realize was a problem. It's like she instinctively ferreted out a spot that needed attention. Maybe it was a fluke, but I don't even care. The remainder of the massage was so, so SO good!!! I am going to sing her praises to anyone that will listen. I have an old injury, a torn gluteal muscle, that decades later has gotten tight with scar tissue and muscle spasm. For years I've asked practitioners to work on it but they were afraid. Liz is fearless. She dug in and loosened up the scar tissue. I was sore for a couple days but it was worth it. I have a lot of old tension rocks in my back I've never been able to smooth out, even when getting a massage every day in massage school (I'm licensed as well, so very picky) Liz is amazing!
