Came here to get my nails done and the process was so easy. I called the day before to ensure I had an appointment and the lady got me an appointment pretty quickly. When I got to the salon, I was greeted by the staff and they had me wait about 2 minutes until my nail tech came. She was super friendly and knew exactly the design I wanted. The salon was super clean and welcoming. Price was also pretty good. Will be coming here whenever I need my nails done. read more

This was my first trip to this A Nails Day Spa (the one by the Cotati Post Office). Parking was easy and I was greeted by Jennifer, who was busy working on a client. She wasn't particularly warm at first, but she was friendly enough given that she didn't know me at all. The salon itself was clean (a huge plus in my book!) and looked and felt new. My service (removing old gel polish, plus the remnants of two glued-on protective nail extensions) was done by Amy, who did a fantastic job. She took her time to carefully remove the glued-on product without damaging my real nails, and then completed a new gel manicure on my now pretty, freshly trimmed natural nails. I had requested a clear- coat gel polish, but she suggested one with a light pink tint, and it was perfect! I expect my natural nails will grow out to their former length (1/4" beyond my fingertips) within the next two to three weeks, and I'll definitely be calling Jennifer to book another appointment with Amy! As I paid and left, Jennifer thanked me for coming in and made sure to stock me up with coupons to keep for myself and/or share with family and friends. I thought was a nice touch and a smart way to promote the business without being too in-your-face. I'll be back! read more

Today I had the most amazing experience at this salon. The best and most carefully thorough manicure and pedicure I've had in a very long time. The spa chairs are comfy and high tech with massage feature that was delightful. The staff were engaging and friendly. I highly recommend and can't wait to come back. read more

Initially I thought this place was very nice. Lam was friendly and conversational. I was getting my nails done for an interview I had later that same day. After I left I noticed several bubbles and bumps on my nails. I decided to go back and have Lam fix the imperfections. He seemed annoyed that I even asked for them to be corrected. He started to "correct" the mistake by putting several top cots over the bumps and bubbles which was a strange way to fix the issue in my opinion. The station he had me sit at had a lamp that didn't work so he had me use my phone flashlight so he could see. I'm not sure why he didn't just have me move to a spot with a working lamp. After he was done I noticed a hair on my nail in between the layers of top coats. I told him I still saw a problem but that it was fine, and I left. As I was walking out the lady getting her nails done next to me started talking about me. I'm not sure why this all happened. At the end of the day, I paid for a service that wasn't done correctly. I went to go have it corrected and was treated poorly for doing so, even after apologizing profusely for coming back which I didn't need to do. My hope in writing this is that people stand up for what is right and speak up for themselves as I did. Everything is so expensive now a days that we should always get what we pay for and be happy about it. read more

I have been going to this nail salon for quite a few years. My cousin, who just recently moved up this way, needed a nail salon recommendation, so I gave her this one. She called and made an appt., but got confused which one I meant, since they have two salons. She thought she made the appt at the wrong salon, so she called and cancelled the appt and made another one at the Raleys Towne Center location. On the morning of her appt, she got a call from the salon on commerce and the male caller asked where she was and that she was late. She explained that she had cancelled the appt. The male caller started yelling at her, saying nasty things, and then hanging up on her! Needless to say, I will. Not be returning to the commerce blvd. location! read more

I don't know the name of the man who did my nails but he did really bad on the angles. They were filed at a diagonal such that one side is higher than the other. The foot massage was really good but I would have preferred to have straight nails. read more

I am realllly rough on my hands, and I am soooo impressed I'll always do gelx from now on. I had such a good experience Jennifer was so nice and fun! Just booked my next appointment. I always call A Nails Day Spa when I need urgent appointments! They have a lot of clients but about 90% of the time will squeeze you in! They really take their time cleaning the nails and cuticles! Love that they have massage chairs and large tv screens that will help you as you wait! Their nail polish lasts long! The best part? They have monthly 5% discounts on your next visits! Walked in without an appointment to get my nails done on my birthday. They fit me in right away. The man doing my nails was so friendly - he recommended a different nail shape for me, and did two base coats for my standard gel manicure; he said it would last longer. I guess he was right because my nails have lasted four full weeks without any lifting, chipping, or breaking. I've never had a normal gel manicure (this wasn't the gelx/extension, just standard gel) last so long! You can see how nice my nails still look and how much they've grown out. I would definitely go back if I were in the area, and may even make a special trip from Concord to get my nails done here again. read more

My son recently went in and a lady was being too touchy with him. He received a manicure and pedicure and while he was getting a manicure the lady started rubbing his shoulders and biceps? This is not the type of workers that should be allowed at spas. read more

Good mom and pop nail salon. I did a walk-in appointment for a pedicure and was quickly greeted. I had to wait a bit since there were 2 people working and they were busy with other clients. Recently was in for a gel mani and pedi. The pedicure still looks great, but the manicure didn't even last 6 days. It was really frustrating because I got these nails for my honeymoon and they didn't even last for the whole trip... the photo is from 6 days in, missing one full nail and multiple nails are peeling up, and by 8 days, I was missing three whole nails. I'm so very disappointed as my first visit went well. I typically only do pedicures, but talked with staff about how my nails are thin and break all the time. They recommended a gel manicure so I agreed. It was a tad pricey, but as they told me it would help my nails grow, I thought it worth it. I asked how often they needed to be done and was told every 3 weeks. They looked nice the first day. However by day 5, I noticed the gel polish began chipping in chunks. They look awful now. I stopped in at salon and showed them- the owner said "you do too much" . What does that even mean? I was sick at home most of the days. I asked if they could repair the chipped fingernails and was told they would have to start all over and that I should have had "dipping powder". Why didn't they tell me that before? And to pay $50 less than a week after paying $50? I feel like my nails will be in worse shape than before my service at the shop. Ugh. read more

Update: I got my nails done Friday November 29th. Sunday night I had both pinky nails and ring fingers throbbing in pain. All 4 have lifted away from my undernail skin. I tried to separate my nail from the new set I was given. My nail was the equivalent of wet soggy newspaper on all 4 nails. I have NEVER had this reaction before and to only 4 nails. I am beyond disgusted and at this point on late Monday I don't know if I even have a pinky nail on my right hand it's just soft and throbs like crazy. I am not a rookie Oh a busy errand day out I popped in for a quick eyebrow wax. The woman was very efficient as she didn't need to endlessly pluck hairs. She got them the first time. About a week later I went to a nail appointment. Jen is amazing and super sweet. She accommodated my design used thin tape in the design for clear precise lines. She asked if I had a design in mind for next time and I showed her and she said no problem. I made an appointment for a Monday my step daughter wanted to go get a manicure so last minute made a girls date and called up a friend. We called and got an appointment about 45 mins out. Each of us got what we wanted. My step daughter cannot wait till we get pedicures. She has her eye on the Hawaiian one. Daughter got alternating colors. Friend got catseye on her new set and I got pink with marbling on two fingers. My daughter and I needed some what not crazy nails because we were doing family photos the next day. Everyone loves them even after a week. I cannot wait until my next appointment as it will be a hint as to our trip we are taking to having my nails done at all. But this place will not see another dime. Yes I will be going in and complaining even though I am sure nothing will be done nor can it. I'm not putting on another new set on a finger that has nothing there. Photos added. No I didn't jam my fingers into something or traumatized them in any way. I'm sorry to report that my pedicure today was the worst and fastest pedicure I have ever had. I am 56 do I've had lots of pedicures in my life and this one was by far the worst one. The woman who did my pedicure barely touched or massaged my legs. She went through the motions quickly and the entire process - from signing in to picking out my color to walking out was under 25 minutes! And, there was no foot drier anywhere so I left with wet toenails. I wish my experience had been different because I feel like I just wasted $35. I should not have tipped at all but I still gave her $3. What a huge disappointment. I'm on vacation and was looking forward to a nice relaxing experience. I have been coming to this salon for years, off and on, for various services. Aside from one terrible manicure from a female technician who was extremely rude my entire service, I have always had amazing service here. Lam, Tony and Jennifer are amazing. You can really tell they care about the service they are providing. The other gals who do pedicures are lovely as well. I have never left unhappy except for that one time. If I can recommend anything it is to make an appointment for your service in advance. They are usually very busy but they do squeeze you in it they can. I don't always get my nails done but when I do I always come here. Love it! read more

When I went in the worker who did my pedicure did not communicate with me at all and she was rough with my toe nails. I thought maybe she was just new so I didn't say much. I didn't feel the aftermath until later getting home. I will note that I had gone in without an ingrown toenail and my toe nails were cut. Fast forward to last night, I couldn't sleep from the pain of my big toe. I finally looked at my big toe and realized that something had gone wrong since my toe was throbbing and swollen. My other toe also has a cut of how hard she filed the nail. I figured I would call them today and ask what they could do. Since it seems as if there is now an ingrown in my toenail and that was not there prior to going to this shop. I tried calling to explain and was met with "you can come in, but we are not podiatrist and you can try Epsom salt" That's a short summary, of the lack of accountability for their mistake. I'm well aware this establishment is not a podiatrist. I am also well aware this is the FIRST PLACE I ever get my toe nails done, where I leave and find my nail has an ingrown and it's throbbing in pain after the pedicure. I didn't walk in there with an ingrown? And now I have one, and it's painful. Instead of working with me and apologizing for the workers MISTAKE. I get the excuse that they are not podiatrist but that I could come in and they recommended using Epsom salt is an insult. Poor customer service at its finest. I'm sorry but paying $50 for someone to mess up your pedicure and leave you in pain is ridiculous. The fact there was no accountability taken or any remedial measures just shows lack of professionalism. It was my first and last time going here. I would beware going here, clearly they don't care about their customers or the pain they cause with their mediocre care. 0 stars if I could. And I never have said that in a review. So it says a lot.

I am writing this review on behalf of myself and a friend of mine who came on a separate day…read more Back in March me and a friend came to get pedicures and manicures. In the past I remember it being a relaxing event, you sit in a massage chair and read a magazine or look on your phone or have a nice conversation with your friend while they did a pedicure. When we went they treated me like I was a NASCAR at a pit stop. First we got there early so we could look at nail colors but they rushed us right into the chair, I wanted to paint my nails green for St Patrick's and they didn't have a very good selection like they used to, was also planning on getting gel nails done but when I asked for the book of options they now have downsized it to barely anything and it's only one of each color. No sparkle no glimmer just boring. This caused us to have to pay 10 extra dollars more than we wanted to so we could get this new metallic fingernail powder. While I was sitting I was trying to have a conversation my friend but I found it hard to do as they kept grabbing my hands and moving my feet around and trying to get me to get all my nails done at once. There is no relaxation, I felt very rushed. They weren't even that busy. The cost came out a lot more than I planned, never had I spent this much money on getting nails done, not even for my wedding. The second review is based on what happened with my friend when she came there a couple weeks ago. She had made an appointment, we got there on time and there was only three people working. They were all busy, and were taking in more people than they should had. My friend wasn't put into pedicure chair until 25 minutes after her appointment, they got the water set up but then left her there soaking for 25 more minutes. In this time more people were coming in, and instead of doing the right thing and let him know it was going to be at least an hour wait they had them sit down. There were three extra people who were just walk-ins, who were waiting at least an hour before being served when they could have just went somewhere else but the people working there I guess really wanted the money. Almost an hour later they finally got started on my friend, finished her pedicure and then told her she had to wait for someone to finish her manicure. That was about another 15 minutes or so. We were both very annoyed, she made the appointment, but I guess that doesn't matter. They apologized for making her way so long, and stated that weekends were their most busiest. We get that but like I said she made an appointment and she still had to wait an hour before being served, and the fact that they kept letting walk-ins come in causing them to have to wait an hour or so before being helped themselves when they could have been kind and given them a idea of how long of a wait it would be. To us it's very inexcusable. We used to love coming here, it had more of a relaxing atmosphere, didn't seem like a push for upsale. Unfortunately we will not be coming back. The prices are definitely more affordable than most places but if we're going to be rushed, and treated like our time doesn't matter, then this isn't the place for us. Each to their own, hopefully other people have better experiences.
