I see Jessica for my curly hair. Love, love, love her. She's friendly, but not overbearing. She's quick. And most importantly, she's good. I hope she's here for a looooong time. It's no fun finding a new stylist! I also see Tacaco (sp?) for eyebrows. Very nice, very friendly, and very good at what she does. Also worth mentioning: the folks who wash your hair. Ahhhh! Best. Hairwashing. EVER. (tip these ladies!) It's easy to get appointments on a week's notice and I'm always able to schedule appointments for both services on the same time/within the same timeframe. The only other thing worth mentioning is tipping. Like most salons, it's straightforward: place your cash in a little envelope, address it to the appropriate person. The salon kindly allows you to add the tip amount to your credit transaction, then passes the cash to you for distribution. Strangely, though, one of the women at the front desk has on more than one occasion tried to *divy* up my funds on my behalf, literally shuffling my bills as if she were going to decide who received what. Um, no thank you (though I appreciate that this individual is looking out for her staff). I'll decide who gets what, if anything. To avoid this presumptuous behavior, I simply bring some cash for tips, give the staff their respective gratuity directly before making it to the front desk. Problem solved. Note to readers: I do look young to folks. And often I'm over-polite. I sometimes wonder if people assume I'm new to social etiquette and unaware? Who knows, but it's safer to give your clients the benefit of the doubt.

When I arrived for my appointment, I was delighted to see the cozy lobby before following Shadonna into the service room. It's decorated with very classy touches that make the room feel very welcoming. She sanitized the treatment table before I sat down. With just a few strips of hardening wax and some touch-up tweezing, my brows looked great again. So many other estheticians have waxed my thick brows down to tiny toothpicks throughout the years, but Shadonna does a perfect job of keeping the definition without caterpillar fuzziness. I was able to pay with my card on file, which I entered when I made the appointment online. I booked my next service with her in person, but I love that the digital platform is available. For now Shadonna is just doing waxing appointments, but plans to expand on the services offered in the coming months. The parking lots are a bit of a labyrinth, but if you turn right at the business driveway (before you get to the 7-11), drive to the back lot, and make another right, you'll see the door on the right-hand side of the building.
