Why would you go anywhere else? Hynes is top tier as far as auto body shops go, you simply can't find a better shop. My dad owned many repair shops over my life and I spent my childhood around all sorts of auto repair facilities. His shop was the CLEAN one in town and he was well known county wide for his customer service. As a result I have very high standards because I've seen it all from the inside out. I own my vehicles for 10+ years and have certainly needed plenty of auto body repair over the years, I've played this game many times. My vehicle sustained damage in my business's parking lot from a fleet vehicle that shares the same lot with us. They agreed to pay cash for the repairs but requested I at least get an estimate from the shop they use for their vehicles. Their place was "typical" of most shops. Dirty, hectic, about what most people would expect if they don't know any better. I'm really glad I went there because the estimate came in almost exactly the same as Hynes. My car has 3000 miles on it and is basically brand new. If you could choose between white glove or greasy hand service for your vehicle and pay the same either way, which would you choose? If your insurance company wants you to use their shops, tell them you'll only consider Hynes. It's the law. Hynes is spotlessly clean in a beautiful building in a fresh part of Belmont. The owner is great as is the other front desk guy. The work was preformed to exacting standards and the BEST part? I had my car back in just over 48 hours! What!! The damage looked minor but still required many parts and paint. That kind of turn around is simply amazing. I know that if any issue comes up with the repair (which I do NOT expect) it will be handled quickly and professionally, that's how they roll. Read the reviews, they've earned every one and it shows. I'd only suggest going someplace else for an estimate so you can really appreciate what you're getting when you take your vehicle into Hynes. Simply the best, bar none. My car got rear-ended and I took it to Hynes based on reviews here on Yelp. The bumper needed to be replaced and painted to match the car. When I went to pick up the car, the paint on the bumper was wrong. It was at least a tone off color. When I pointed it out to them, they tried to point out the difference in colors between other panels. I couldn't see a difference like they were pointing out. I insisted that the bumper be repainted so that it would match. (The car is a creamy white, and they painted the bumper bright white - it looked bad!) They fixed the car and made it right. This is the second accident I've ever been involved with in my life, and I was glad that they fixed the car and made the bumper the right color, but I was put off by their thinly veiled attempt to pass it off as "it's just like the front bumper", when it was really wrong. I'm a "car guy" and was looking very closely to see if the paint was right. I give them 3 stars only because they fixed it and made it right. read more

We took our car here after my husband rear-ended the tow truck taking our OTHER car to another garage. Yeah. This place is on Liberty Mutual's "approved" list and they have an appraiser on staff. They did a great job fixing everything on our car and had it back in a reasonable timeframe. The office staff is really great and we have no complaints. We did notice, after getting our car back, there was condensation under one of the headlights (meaning it was not re-installed correctly). Hynes fixed it for us in an hour the day after we noticed, making sure to get us sorted out and ensuring neither my husband or I needed to take time off work. They fixed a dent in my bumper and then noticed that my headlights were foggy, so they polished the plastic over the headlights free of charge. So nice! Not really a body shop just a way to collect insurance money. After a low speed rear-end of a minivan (bumper indented, bumper-cover cracked, slight dent in rear hatch), we took it to Hynes. Immediately the salesperson said we should 100% think about using insurance to cover it. He then "calculated" the repair costs, and the total was $6,666. The item list included labor for simple things. For instance just to open the car door they listed labor as $0.40. I took the car home and did it myself. Total cost was $230 plus a day of labor. Basically this place is a scam. I guess if you're a rich Belmontian and love spending insurance money than this is the place to go. I would even go to claim that this isn't even a real bodyshop--as they would rather just replace every panel with a completely new one rather than try to remove the dents using heat guns/ other methods. To summarize: quoted cost: $6,666. Did it at home and fixed the damage for only $230. read more

I brought my car here at the request of my insurance company after I was involved in an accident that damaged the front and back of my car. The work was done ahead of schedule, but when I arrived there was a new scratch on the side of my car, the inside wasn't detailed (as it says on the website), there were black marks all over the interior of my car, and a part inside the hood wasn't installed correctly because it was visible from the outside when the hood was closed. They were very eager to buff out the scratch while I wait and send me on my way, but I said I wanted the interior cleaned too and that I will come back tomorrow. I went back the next day and everything was fixed to my liking. The owner was very nice and gave me a coupon for a free detail to use in the spring.
