After Geico recommended this shop I called and made an appointment at the Belmont location but didn't realize so showed up to the Woburn one. They took the car anyway and worked directly with insurance on estimate and repairs. Work was great - replaced the trunk of my car and removed all small dents and buffed/blended scratches from a branch falling on it. Took 6 weeks. Called several times a week for updates and didn't hear back until several attempts. Front desk ladies were otherwise very helpful and friendly. Ok, well here is the final review. After the incident with Donna, I started dealing with someone named Tammy. She was very professional, she let me know everything that was going on with the car and she had wonderful customer service skills. I got my car back after weeks of it being in the shop and going back and forth with the insurance because initially they were fixing damages that weren't on my car or authorized to fix. Like I told Donna that day. My insurance was not going to cover damages she said I had when I myself know there wasn't anything there. Again, Donna had no tact told me "youre worried about the wrong things" while I'm asking why she is doing that much work to my car. Who is Donna to tell me what to worry about. Im the customer, if im worried please put those thoughts at ease. I just bought this car in January. Ive only made 3 payments on it and its being butchered. If it weren't for Tammy I would have been pulled my car from there. Oh another thing, I had this lighter leash hanging on my rear view mirror that was given to me by someone 6 years ago. It had a lot of sentimental value and they ripped it off my rear view. Was it revenge? Were they mad a me cause my insurance didn't pay damages no one told them to fix? Why would someone do this? Why are they touching stuff that is inside my car? The crazy part is it clips so there was no reason to rip it down. That was just mean, I can get new lighter leashes but I will never see that friend that gave it to me. read more

So here's my tale of stupidly... I was reversing into my garage talking to my son forgetting my garage door was delayed.. then I heard scrapping then a wth was that noise? Then it hit me... I freaking hit the antenna with the garage door. My son just started at me like oooh you messed up.. I say in all frustration I say I KNOW!! so I looked at the antenna like I've never seen one before ( well not in my hand anyway) so I at that moment drove to 3 different auto body places. 1st one quoted $4500+ no thanks the 2nd was we can't fix that you need a new roof.. what a new roof!! Awh man what the hell did I do to my Idris.. the 3rd said to go to the dealer.. not doing that... then I called my insurance company they directed me to Hynes Collision Center at 17 Lafayette Street in Haverhill... Santos looked at my car and gave me a pretty reasonable price he said he could fix it and it would take a week to a week and a half. I say okay. I dropped it on a Wed and he called me exactly 1 week later on Wednesday!!! Amazing...I drove up Thursday morning to find my beautiful car looking gorgeous and the price was better than expected $$ .. I could only say thank you thank you it (Idris) looks amazing.. I was a child on Christmas day... I am updating this review due to another issue that came up. Old review is below. As I said the window and trim issues below were a pain in my ass. Now, and I know it was them - the interior drivers door panel is coming off because when they had it off they didn't re-attach it properly. It was held on only by those plastic clips that fit in holes on the metal door. There are 3 or 4 screws beneath the door handle portion that are supposed to be screwed into a mating feature on the metal door. Only 1 is attached, and so of course over a few weeks the door panel nearly came off in my hand when shutting the driver's side door. No idea why they took this off, they didn't need to to fix the door paint. Anyway, like I said, amazing paint work. Not so good on the other stuff..... old review below... These guys did amazing body work - looks really nice and paint matches perfectly. Giving 4 starts because they broke the trim around my rear window and left part of that in the trunk. Now I've got to buy a new piece. Yes it was on there before. Plus the rear side windows were stuck down when they returned the car (which I fixed myself - it was a battery reset issue). They were very nice but this kind of bugged me. read more

This is a long overdue thank you to Hynes Collision and especially to Donna DiVenuti. While exiting a parking garage, I caught the right rear door of my 2015 BMW X3 on the corner of a concrete wall. The door sustained minor damage - basically crushed/buckled. It was barely noticeable but I knew it was there and wanted it repaired so I took it to a collision center where I had been going for years. To my surprise, they told me the door needed to be replaced. Obviously, this was an expensive repair and I planned to pay out of pocket so I had to think about it. On a whim, I stopped by Hynes Collision which had recently opened, and met Donna who was very accommodating and did an on-the-spot inspection. She assured me that the door could be repaired not replaced. She called me the next morning with an estimate and my car was in the shop the following week and repaired and looking perfect in a very timely fashion. I will never go to another auto body shop. I have been here twice. The first time my car was hit by a random object that flew off of a pick-up truck driving in front of me on the highway; my grill was completely ruined. The second time I had my driver-side mirror smashed in an act of vandalism while I was parked in the city. Both times Mahoney's was incredibly fast at ordering parts, flexible in getting me in for appointments that were convenient for my schedule, affordable, and above all - SO NICE, friendly, and easy to work with. I should add that I am a young-ish single woman, and have had bad experiences with repair shops/ mechanics in the past who have tried to take advantage of me for not knowing much about cars. Generally speaking, if you find yourself requiring the services of an autobody repair shop, it's pretty safe to assume you are not having the best day of your life! That is why when my parked car was hit and badly damaged by a hit and run driver a few months ago I was fortunate that a colleague referred me to Mahoney's Auto Body Repair in Woburn. From my first initial contact I was impressed with owner, Jim Mahoney. Jim was highly professional and knowledgeable, and provided realistic timelines for the work to be completed. For example, when Jim told me the body work my car required would take approximately 30 days, it was completed in 29. From a technical perspective, my car was returned to me in pristine condition - in fact it looked better than it had before the incident! One other thing: a couple of months went by before I happened to notice that the lining of my hatchback had several rips from the impact of the accident due to landscaping tools that had been in the trunk at the time of impact. Although the insurance appraiser had not seen this damage (and in fact - neither had I), Jim ordered a replacement panel and installed it for me at no additional charge! I was absolutely blown away, because I tend to have very low expectations and generally anticipate resistance from businesses to do the right thing (unless they are forced to). I shouldn't have worried about Mahoney's Auto Body of Woburn - they were gracious, professional and accommodating in every possible way, and if I ever find myself needing auto body repair services in the future, I've found "my guy" in Jim Mahoney! I found out today that this place had my bumper but kept telling me it was never delivered. I called the shipping company and they said it was out for delivery on the 23rd of May but no one was able to receive the part at the shop. I got the tracking info for the part and tracked it. The bumper was delivered on the 30th of May. I call the next day and they say they still haven't recieced the bumper. They've had my car since 7May23. There is a lady there and I'm not sure if her name is Donna or not but she was extremely rude over the phone. I went to the auto shop in person and she was still rude. She told me "we have a 3 day weekend coming up and we're going to enjoy it" to which I replied "what the fuck does that have to do with anything." Then she said you cursed so leave. I said no you've had my vehicle for almost a month and I'm paying for a rental out of pocket. She then called the police. This was last week. The bumper was delivered yesterday and they're saying they still don't have it. Then while I was on the phone with them.. the call "failed" . It's been impossible dealing with them and I still don't have my car back. Idk if shes saying she doesn't have my bumper out of revenge or what but I tracked and called the shipping company and they said it was delivered. Double checked the address And everything. I don't know what to do at this point. read more

A friend recommended we take our one year old Honda Accord to Mahoney's after it had an untimely meeting with the rear end of another car. No one was hurt, but the air bags were deployed and the front end was pressed almost to the firewall on one side. It didn't look good... Jim Mahoney and his crew were able to straighten out the front end, replace damaged parts (almost all OEM Honda) and match the paint (a pearlesent black plum) so there was no visible sign of a collision at all! Jim patiently explained what would happen throughout the repair and took care of most all of the paperwork. After the work was completed, our Honda looked great (they even washed it!), and drove great --- just like it did before the accident. We are very pleased with the way we were treated and the quality of work done by Mahoney's. We highly recommend them. read more

I got caught in a chain reaction smush on 128 with damage to the front and rear of my Honda CRV. Mahoney's fixed me up so the car looks new and when returrned it was clean as a whistle inside and out, just like if you taken it to a professional detailer. They did the job several days ahead of schedule. They even straightened out my license plate which I retrieved the next day and which had been run over about a thousand times on 128.
