Located inside Disney California Adventure Park. This theater was used many times in the past for shows like Aladdin and Frozen. Now this summer of 2023 they premiered a new musical called Rogers the Musical which is based off Marvel's Captain America. It's singing, dancing, acting out Captain America's life from the beginning to the present. The theater itself is huge compared from how it looked from the outside. The best part it's air conditioned. The seats are kind of closely tight but you still have a little elbow room depending on your size. The sound is actually not bad for the size. Overall a great theater to catch a show at in DCA I hope they utilize this more often now even after the running of this musical.

I love going to theatres such as the Pantages, Ahmanson, or Segerstrom to catch a musical. The Hyperion doesn't get enough praise for just how nice of a theatre it really is! I recently came here for Rogers: The Musical. I ended up purchasing the Premium Viewing Experience which came out to $31.25 including tax. The best perk was that it allowed for prime seating up front. The experience also included a collectible lanyard, roped off preshow waiting area, a Coca-Cola bottle beverage of your choice, Rogers: The Musical popcorn bucket, and red, white, & blue colored kettle corn. Whatever they have playing here, you should come check it out! It's a good stepping stone towards watching a full length musical.

Now, I don't know what happened to my previous review but I will just say that the Hyperion Theater has some great musicals. Currently playing is Rogers, the musical, based on the musical mentioned in the Hawkeye series on Disney+. Previously, the Hyperion was home to the Aladdin and Frozen musicals. I heard that Rogers will be a limited run, possibly through August 2023. It's heartfelt, action-packed, cheesy, with a dash of romance thrown in. I loved the show. While I wasn't able to get into the virtual queue, I was able to do the standby line that starts 45 minutes before showtime. I was able to get a seat in the orchestra. The line snakes through the courtyard next to the Hyperion and there is some shade from the heat of the sun. If you're looking for some solid, wholesome entertainment in an air conditioned theater, check out the Hyperion for the next showing of Rogers! Check the app for showtimes and dark days.

Wonderful theatre! I was sure what to expect as we went to watch, "Frozen," one of my daughter's favorite movies. The show was about an hour long and my 2 year old daughter did really well watching the entire show and singing along. I was impressed with the vocal quality and the other special effects. It was like watching a musical on Broadway. I'm very pleased with the show and highly recommend it!

The theater is great for when you want to kick back and relax for a while after being on your feet the whole day. They have comfy seats and thankfully air conditioning inside. However I miss having Aladdin here. Frozen wasn't bad. It had great graphics and I loved Elsa's song "Let it Go" but that was mostly it. It didn't have as much humor as Aladdin and there was more going on in Aladdin. Besides the actual musical play, the service was okay. We had a wheelchair in our party, sl we went to the wheelchair section at the top floor, but they took our wheelchair since theh said it was a hazard. Also, the fact that they didn't return our wheelchair like they said they were going to do after the performance was just unacceptable. My dad looked out in the hall for it but couldn't find it, and actually had to go all the way to the lower level level to go get it. Otherwise, pretty decent play, just can't say much about the service.

She advised that my child not return to the theater class - my child was only 6 and was signed up for the appropriate 4-8 year old class. My boy enjoyed going to class, he said he didn't enjoy class ONE time and she ran with that message - I was told not to come back and not to sign him back up next time. She said this to me in front of an audience/parents before (the last day of class) performance. It was very unprofessional to not pull us aside in private to say this. It was disheartening for a mom to see that she was so quick to judge who can stay and who shouldn't. Perhaps, she has limited knowledge of how boys are different than girls but she definitely caters more towards the girls? I'm sorry if my boy was more active and more outspoken than the others. You can tell a lot about a person - have you seen her drive? You definitely don't want your kids near her. Anyway, I've also seen a play here in the past. For the size of the venue, the play was very well organized and professional. All the actors were all very well versed and seasoned. I would go back only to support the plays.

The sound and lighting were well done and the actors did well. It's a small venue so waiting for the bathroom at intermission is a challenge. The manager/owner has a lot of enthusiasm and energy to get things started. The push for season ticket holders was apparent including cute sayings and sing song slogans that were only known to regular attendees. My biggest con is the seating. I sat on an end, hugging the wall to my left. (D27). In order to see the musical, I had to turn to the side in my chair, careful to not hit the person next to me. This created a low back issue versus sitting forward and turning my head to the right to see the stage with a sore neck. Pro - the show Con - the seating Overall a fair experience.

It was definitely a lot harder to see if you're seated too high up compared to Toyota Arena. The rink got colder as the show went on, so definitely bring a jacket. My kids didn't enjoy this show as much as the Frozen and Encanto one we saw last year. This show had very little special effects and more "couple" dances, but they all looked very similar after you see the first one or two. We did enjoy the cars performance because it was a little different, and then moana's act at the end. My daughter's favorite princesses are Elsa and Ariel, but Ariel never appeared for this show. There were 2 songs from Frozen 2 though! Even so, we had a nice afternoon here with the family.

Great for younger kids with shorter attention span, say pre-schooler and elementary kids. Personally, for me as an adult, it's not something I would watch on my own or if I'm going to attend with just fellow adult friends. The show feels a bit amateur and all over the place. I prefer performances with a better plot and theme that strongly ties in together. It's as if this show is put on for the sake of trying to lump in all Disney characters into one show however possible. But little kids like it and that's all that matters. Sacrifices of parenthood. The venue is "okay". Food is super expensive ($20 for 2 slices of pizza) and not even that good. No outside food allows whatsoever and you can't bring bags bigger than 8x5 or something small like that (they tell you on the website). Parking is $20.
