The push for season ticket holders was apparent including cute sayings and sing song slogans that were only known to regular attendees. My biggest con is the seating. I sat on an end, hugging the wall to my left. (D27). In order to see the musical, I had to turn to the side in my chair, careful to not hit the person next to me. I want to say that the theater holds maybe 75-100 people...? Comfy seats and every seat is a great view. Prices are great, our last show was $39 each. The actors are fun and you can tell they absolutely love doing what they do. They are there to make everyone happy including themselves and their fellow castmates. There is a bar with drinks and snacks, we've even seen shirts for sale! We are considering purchasing a "B Season Pass" so we don't miss out on the shows this coming year, some sell out fast! It was the best surprise- I had no idea until we arrived. The Maverick puts on this play every year and it is outstanding. Their seasons always bring unique, quirky shows. From King Kong to Rocky Horror to Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. There is always something cool happening. Brian, the owner, is dedicated to theater and is a friendly, welcoming guy. The staff and actors are wonderful as well. Probably our favorite local theater.

It was definitely a lot harder to see if you're seated too high up compared to Toyota Arena. The rink got colder as the show went on, so definitely bring a jacket. My kids didn't enjoy this show as much as the Frozen and Encanto one we saw last year. This show had very little special effects and more "couple" dances, but they all looked very similar after you see the first one or two. We did enjoy the cars performance because it was a little different, and then moana's act at the end. My daughter's favorite princesses are Elsa and Ariel, but Ariel never appeared for this show. There were 2 songs from Frozen 2 though! Even so, we had a nice afternoon here with the family.

The sound could use some updating. The volume although adequate was not accompanied by a sound quality deserved by the wonderful production. The ride starts in the hall and then moves to carts that are for two to three people. The ride is dark, so if you do not like the dark, you may want to skip this ride. Also, please remain in the carts when moving. The ride stopped several times as riders were getting out of the carts. These stopes ruin the vibe for other riders. This could also present danger to those getting out of the cart- so stay put and enjoy the experience!

First time at the Pirates Dinner Adventure. Saw coupon deals on this through Groupon, so why not?…read moreI've been to Medieval Times as a kid, but never been to the Pirate show until now as an adult. You'll have to call in to let them know that you have a Groupon deal. Went for the last showing of the night so we could enjoy more of the evening and not feel like we would be hurried out for the next group. Upon arrival, the parking lot was full, both the one on top and bottom. Tried the street, but it was permit parking only. Noticed some Porto's customers were parking in this lot as well. I thought it was a paid to park lot. There are some parking spots, but everyone double parks over the line, so each parking space was a tight squeeze, we had no choice, but to squeeze in. When you check in at the window they will print your receipt for your booking and charge you $8 parking on their lot. Honestly there's no one checking the lot, but it's out first time, so we do. Paid extra and bought an upgraded ticket, so we're guaranteed a good seat and it came with a headband, beaded necklace and discount on their photo package. Once you enter you get your photos taken and then you are ushered to the giftshop or bar area. By the way the giftshop area is where you will enter the stage/dining area. Who knew?!?! Luckily there are people who will take you to your seat so you're not lost. You are seated by team colors. The server there, Darla, was really nice. She got our drinks, and meals in the timely basis. The only thing that took a while when you're at your seat was the appetizer and bar drinks. The appetizer was another server; the onion rings was not great, pretty soggy. The bar drink person took the longest. Was half way into the main entree when that server came to get the order. I would have liked towards the beginning after being seated to enjoy. Plus it was very stuffy and hot. Mind you the alcoholic drinks were expensive at $21 each, but you get to keep your souvenir glass. You're not here for the food, but rather the show. Food is not bad, it's like a quarter of a rotisserie chicken with boiled veggies, mashed potatoes, salad, and a slice of cake at the end. It's very kid friendly and entertaining with acrobats, singing, and sword fighting. Depending on your team color you cheer on for your pirate color. Go team orange! It's almost a 2 hour experience with dining and show. Overall if you just go once in your life, it's enough. It's a novelty.

My family and I decide to take a trip to Buena Park through the offer from Groupon (2 kids two adults) equaling 197. It wasn't a cheap lunch, but we thought let's try it and get out of the house. We arrived 90 minutes before the showing at 1:30 and the place was empty. We went inside thinking there would be music, actors outside taking and pictures and it was completely opposite of that. I'm used to medieval times where the king and queen are out, there's music pumpin and everyone is rooting for their color, pirates is different. In the gift shop it's quiet, no music, nothing has a price, and the workers are walking around like hawks trying to make you buy something or just watch out for stealing. There's really no entertainment at this point. The doors to the arena actually open around 30 minutes before the show and that's where you get to take pictures interact with the pirates (be aware they come off as rude but that's their shtick-they are pirates! The arena is dark and cool, and everywhere is a good seat. The show started right on time but before that we had Mac N cheese balls which were just ok, 11 dollars for 8 deep fried Mac n cheese balls. Oh and check this out, your meal doesn't include soda..they offer you water with your meal and if you want soda it's 4 dollars a cup or 9 dollars a pitcher, that's insane! The show was interactive, the actors were great but the main course (chicken, mash potatoes and vegetables) tasted horrible! The veggies smelled like a fish tank, undercooked and under seasoned, and the mash had no flavor. My kids didn't like it, and neither did my wife and I. For 50 dollars a person it was not worth the price! The arena unfortunately was empty! There are about 150-200 seats and there was probably around 50-60 people total, it was sad. These performers are great, but the storyline is weak, and hard to listen to because of the audio. Visually they got it, but audio needs to be more clear. I gave the show as a whole 3 stars because it's a one time thing for us. The kids were so happy to be apart of the show as they pull them up onto the ship and let them act along but what really ruined it for me was the food. Toward the end they served dessert which was a chocolate brownie with sprinkles which tasted like it was out of a box and it was super messy! I know they have Vampirates right now but I'm sure the food is the same...underwhelming for the price. Memorable moments, but they can do better!
