I was here for a Counterstrike LAN tournament at this venue. It was pretty entertaining. The spectators had seating on the lower level (GA) and were able to order food and drink (alcohol and non-alcoholic versions) from a server. There was also a bar on this floor. They also had lounging areas where people could chill and watch the gaming. The upper seating area was reserved for VIPs, employees, and tournament workers. They had a bar upstairs and downstairs and had high boys and stools for the area upstairs. The setup was pretty amazing (on the ground floor) with a huge screen and stage for the competitors to play and be projected on. In the back, they had computer/gaming chairs with monitors/computers set up and people gaming. They had plenty of restrooms available on both floors, too. Honestly one of the better kid friendly venues on the Strip. I'd definitely come back to enjoy some gaming time here. read more

If you're a huge gamer this place is a must for all ages. Events happen more often Friday to Sunday for the main arena. It's usually open to the public so even to just go and spectate is pretty cool. If you're jonsing to game you can come by and purchase an hour play time. They have PC and Xbox controllers available if needed. You can bring your own controllers. You can use their account to play all games or you can login with your own personal one. It's cool to run into streamers here or just watch people play. The staff here is always helpful and friendly. Where do I even start? I'm a mom of 4 boys. All gamers. We all know how hard it is to get them out so when I planned our Vegas trip, I left a lot of space for gaming here at HyperX. When we arrived on Xmas Eve night, they were already closed. No big deal, kids looked through the windows and were absolute sold. We came the next day and we were greeted by Noah (I think that is his name.) He gave us all the options and we did a full 8 hours for my oldest big time gamer and 2 hours each for the smaller boys. Anyway, just buy the full time. Your kids will live in there, while you gamble. They have fun and so do you. When I say this place is massive, it's incredible. Pictures do not do it justice. My 3 teens were very impressed by the rig set up and available options. They were able to log into their steam accounts which is perfect. We have been long standing MGM property vacationers (but have never stayed at the Luxor) and now that HyperX is there, we may be booking at this property from now on. Way better than they had any right to be, and definitely better than a lot of restaurants in the area. I will say the poke nachos did get a bit soggy but just look at how much food they give you. Like others have said, this is a gamer's paradise! For $15 an hour, you can fire up a couple of games in the middle of your Vegas trip. There are other deals as well! There was an industry event taking place so we could only be in the gaming lounge, but I heard the other areas are pretty epic. I went to an auto industry party at the Hyper X Arena inside the Luxor a few years back, and it was super fun. Since I recently began working with a new esports brand, I decided to visit Hyper X Arena to see if we could rent the venue for a video shoot. I started by calling them on the phone, and I spoke with Savannah, who was super helpful on the phone. She told me that I should come and visit in the next two hours, and she would introduce me to the manager. Sure enough, I did visit and I did get to meet Savannah, who is just as sweet and helpful in person as she was on the phone. She and her manager gave me a tour of the entire venue, plus the contact information of the person I needed to email in order to book the space . Our video shoot got pushed back a little bit, so we didn't end up, shooting the video at this location this month... but I will definitely keep this location in mind! It's an awesome looking venue, with amazing facilities, and amazing customer service. Maybe we can rent the entire venue for an event when the brand is ready! read more

Seems cool if you wanna play and hang with people, are visiting and dont have the ability to play games in your room, or dont have any systems at home. However, if you have your own PCs at home, or don't like being around people, maybe just come here for events. Lots of kids here. I just didn't really like that when we asked about when the Arena was going to open, they said 37 min. So we went to the bar across to drink. Came back 35 minutes later, waited 10, asked when they were going to open, they said 9 min, waited 20, someone else asked again and were told "idk either 30 min or at 530." So we ate at public house, walked around, and came back to look around. It was cool, but the whole opening confusion thing was not cool. read more

The concept is great though the general systems are a bit dated. The staff were mistaken in the PC specifications and my one hour Warzone playtime was painful at best. Most of the machines on the floor are powered by a Ryzen 1600 with 16GB of RAM and a GTX1060 6GB. I was told that the machines were running an 8700K with a GTX1080ti. The most powerful PC they currently have is their "streaming rig" which is an Intel 8700 (non-K) with 32GB of DDR4 2666mhz and an RTX2080. Again, I love the idea of this area and the floor rigs with the aforementioned specs are strong enough to run titles like Fortnite, Valorant, etc. But unfortunately, Warzone is demanding and my experience was lackluster due to PC performance. read more

Wow! This place is a lot of fun!! I ended up registering for a tournament online through gg.smash. It was for a League of Legends, 1v1, howling abyss, located at the Hyperx Esports Arena in Las Vegas. The Hyperx Esports Arena is located in the Luxor. If you take the 15/Tropicana, and a right off of the Las Vegas Strip, the self parking is two blocks down. There is paid parking at the Luxor as well, which lets you park inside a parking garage. It was smelling pretty bad outside in the parking garage and up the stairs to the 2nd floor on-ramp to the casino. Once you enter the casino through the parking garage area, you continue to follow straight and you'll run into the Hyperx Esports Arena. Since I was registered for a tournament, I was able to enter the Esports arena for free. As soon as you walk in, there is merchandise available and then additional LAN PC's with a big screen TV to play video games on. As you walk in further to the Esports arena, there are consoles such as Xbox, N64, Mame, Playstations and much more. Once you walk past the consoles, you'll be presented with the main Esports arena. There is a large TV screen with the main competitors stage. There are other PCs setup around the Arena. Chairs are located on the first and second floor. There is a open bar that you can walk up to at the first level inside the Esports arena. Since I was registered for the tournament, I quickly found the tournament hostess. She got my information registered in and I was able to log in for my League of Legends tournament, no problem. There was a issue with my headset at the start of the tournament, but it was fixed within 10 minutes of game-play. There is food and beverage options available. Beverages include alcoholic and non-alcoholic offerings. Typical bar food offerings such as chicken wings, nachos etc.. It was a little bit more on the pricier side, but cheaper than going to a restaurant that is inside the Mandalay Bay. Overall great technology! Customer service here rocked! This is truly a great spot for a avid video game lover. read more

Arena ambiance: There's PC's setup in the main lobby before heading back to the Esports Arena. The arena is a gamer's dream in terms of hardware and Esports competitive ambiance. Tennis player's, imagine being able to walk into Wimbledon to play with your friends. Golfers, imagine walking onto Augusta National and playing a round with your fellow hackers. This is what the Esports Arena is for my gamer squad. Consoles, PC's, and monitors all appear to be mobile to give the staff maximum flexibility for competitions. The main stage showcasing the massive movie sized screen is impressive and definitely adds to the gaming competitive ambiance. The crew operating the Rainbow 6 Siege tournament kept it organized and running pretty close to the time schedule. There's multiple viewing levels with a bar on each floor. Arena Bar: Alright for you spectators here we go. You have a full bar complete with typical bar finger food. Chicken fingers, chicken wings, cheeseburgers, sliders, hot dogs, pretzel bites, etc. It was mainly gamer friendly food to fuel them during long sessions. I went with the nachos and some fries for the crew and they were a-ok. The servers were all friendly and the kitchen took awhile to get you your food but no real issues. Service and quality of food was about what I'd expect at an Esports arena so all is well. If you're going to complain about Vegan and Gluten free options at a bar in an Esports arena, you have that right I guess. This Esports arena kind of makes me want to take my fortnite gameplay participation up a couple of levels just to make a decent showing here. If anything, I'll bring my squad down and grab drinks with their folks as we watch them play. Either way, this Esports Arena is a great gamer spectacle and I'm sure I'll be back. Enjoy! read more

Hyper X Arena used to be a fun gathering for local tournament play in a much more upscaled environment. that being said, once one of their original organizers left and later all the other previous crew left/fired at the same time, the place has gone downhill and an disorganized mess with this person named Riley running tournaments. i emailed them about a last minute call-in from work so i cant attend one of their events and politely asked for a refund. in a strange situation, i found out that they apparantly they kept phone numbers, email addresses, etc in a log of all previous attendees after i myseteriously got a phone call/text from them. from there, i asked about a refund again and Riley said he will. this was in April, im still waiting for that refund in July. i wont be coming back until either i get my refund or if tournament staff gets an overhaul read more

This arena is SO cool, I feel like I'm walking into a club. Really digging the outside too where they set PC's for fans to try new games. I was really impressed! The arena's tech was able to visually support the demands of popular games. There's plenty of general seating and a VIP section for hot shots. There's a bar in the back adjacent to arcade games like Injustice 2! Yay! I could see this as a fun place to throw after parties. Plenty of clean bathrooms are also a plus. read more

They won't even tell you that certain games take over 20+ minutes to load and expect you to just know that out of thin air when you are paying for a service. Couldn't even have a decent conversation with the manager to express this. His attitude and response was "we deal with a third party vendor and not all the games are available and ready to load". So, what kind of gaming facility is this??? When you even try to have a conversation with the other staff, everyone is just dumbfounded and not trained on the systems or how to deal with customers at even a basic level. Came out to Luxor to check out this new gamers heaven place that took over the old LAX Nightclub. Venue - Really nice modern place with some state of the art technology, plus really high ceilings and open spaces. Service - Not many employees walking around but didn't have an issue getting some answers with the people in the front. They also over food and have a full bar that makes it really cool. Whether you're a casual gamer, social gamer, or competitive gamer, esports arena is a cool place to hang out for all ages located at the Luxor hotel and casino. You have to pay to be able to play, but the prices aren't too unreasonable. They have all types of consoles when you first enter the arena and headed towards the back, you go through this section that has all sorts of old consoles, like N64, original XBOX, old playstation, etc. Not sure if you can play them, but it's definitely cool sight! Once you enter the back area, it has the large podium and screens (guessing this is where they hold the bigger tournaments) with bunch of PC stations everywhere. Not sure how the people are able to play various games at their stations but I saw all types of video games being played. Place has a bar for the older crowd and I hear their food is pretty good as well. It's definitely a place worth visiting and if you're into gaming, I can't think of a reason why you wouldn't enjoy this place unless you're sitting next to an obnoxious gamer. Ha read more

This is a great spot to let your kids play video games for a break from the constant hustle and bustle that is Vegas. They have consoles and PC and so many games to choose from and it's only $15 for an hour of play or $25 for two hours; in Vegas, that is CHEAP!
