I visited on a Saturday afternoon with the Niece and Nephew. We were excited to check out the Warhammer 40K VR game as my niece and I nerd out on it hard. The check in is simple. After paying, you fill out the waiver forms on a tablet, secure your stuff in the complimentary school type lockers and you're ready to go. The pre-game screening shows you what to expect from your VR headset and weapon. Afterwards you enter the room and they load up your headset, vest with your VR Rifle attached. The equipment was comfortable, functional and I didn't have any issues. The Warhammer 40K game was 30 minutes long and it was Fantastic. Let me give a brief summary of Warhammer 40K: Imagine the darkest, most over-the-top sci-fi you can think of, then dial it up to eleven. That's 40k. It's set in the far future, like 40,000 years from now, and humanity is basically fighting for its life against everything. The galaxy is just one giant, brutal warzone. The core of it, revolves around the Space Marines. They're genetically engineered, surgically enhanced super-soldiers. They're basically humanity's ultimate weapon, created by the Emperor of Mankind. You and your team play as Space Marines on a mission that got me sweaty by the end of the game. The visual really played on my senses as my fear of heights in this virtual world was kicking in. The aliens that were swarming us kept the heart rate moving and the boss alien we had to battle was a blast. $50 (all in price) per person is probably the most I'd pay for this experience. At the end, you get the final game standings emailed to you along with a 30 second video clip that shows a side by side of what you were seeing in the game vs you in the actual world. Very cool and something to post on your IG story. We'll swing by here again if we come across games that really call to us like Warhammer 40K. Enjoy! read more

My buddy has been here before and wanted to play the zombie game called Outbreak. It is produced here by Zero Latency. The location is inside MGM Grand back by an arcade area. We didn't have reservations. I know not a good thing in Vegas. We were there for my buddy's Birthday. When we got there the clerk said that there was a game starting in 15 minutes but the people who reserved it was for the robot game and not the zombie one. We were disappointed but since we were here we decided to play. We stepped away and came back. The other worker waived us into the room and explained that the group didn't make it and we would be playing the Outbreak game. What luck. He went over a training video on the VR items and how to use the weapons. Then we were lead into the gaming room. It was a large room almost like a warehouse size. SO we had all this area to move around in. The VR headset was tricky lining up at least for me. If you didn't have it square on your eyes it wouldn't be in focus. I finally got it on correctly. The gun can be used as a shotgun or an assault rifle. I stuck with the latter. Reloading was automatic which was good and bad. It was slow but you could press the reload button on the bottom of the rifle. Hard to get used to but quicker. It was really neat. When you got close to a wall or a person a wall of red triangles popped up so you know to move away. The game was a story and easy to follow. It was weird doing VR. It looked like you had to climb a pipe and possibly fall. The guy had to tell us through the headset that you are still on a flat floor and to remember that to move through the obstacles. I had so much fun and I didn't time it but seamed pretty long of a game. I would love to do this again. Definitely make reservations. A must. read more

My friend loves doing some type of Virtual Reality game when we are in Vegas so I looked this up on Yelp and found this place in the MGM Grand Hotel. I booked everything on their website and you just show up for your appointment time. The time I picked was during the afternoon and we were the only ones playing. We picked the zombie one and by the end of the game, we were super tired from holding the guns. After a while, it becomes super heavy! But during the entire game, it was pretty fun! The only thing I have to say is that they don't have a saved video recording of your game. Which some of these stores have. I was kind of bummed that we didn't have the gameplay for our game. But if you don't mind that part you should still check this place out. It is a workout for sure! read more

Unfortunately after my first visit, I couldn't actually review the VR experience here, because the company's organization or planning or policies are awful and they would not allow us to play our reservation time. We reserved a slot at 3:30, and the agreement and confirmation email did not indicate we were _required_ to check in at least 10 minutes prior to the appointment time. Half of our party was at the location while the rest searched for parking, which is located all the way across the entire casino. Our full party was on site at 3:22, well before the appointment time we paid for, and the receptionist refused to let us play. They gave us a refund, but we were already out 50$ for parking and the time spent coming to the crowded strip. We were put off by this but really wanted to try the Warhammer game only this company seems to run, so we gave them a second chance a few months later. We arrived with plenty of time... and this time were told we could not check in so early! We waited until the appropriate time (in their extremely lackluster arcade attached, since the also attached bar--which uses the same point system as the arcade--does not even allow anyone under 21 to sit there even with the parents in attendance) and finished our check in process within 3 minutes, if that. Then, they started our appointment at least ten minutes late. The 10 minute requirement they claimed from the first appointment, especially the strict refusal to complete their services, is absolute nonsense. The VR headset is not as accommodating for glasses as other locations, so would recommend coming with contacts if you have the option. The game was a pretty standard level of entertaining for these types of experiences, but some of the movements on screen can cause a bit of disorientation and motion sickness, while other more stationary games in smaller venues don't have this problem. That said, the freedom to walk around added some nice game play features, but the lack of explanation before playing (especially for groups that have members not familiar with VR games or video games in general) led to some of our group often being clustered closer than necessary and hearing the proximity alarm pretty much constantly. The free highlight videos provided after the game were a nice surprise, but the automated system seemed to frequently take "video highlights" when none of us were in frame. If these were paid for I would be highly upset. All in all, the only thing this VR location has going for it is the licensed content they've obtained (they also have a far cry 5 option), and I don't think I'd go again. read more

Every year we go to Vegas we have to sop by and play the VR games because this place is one of the best. Sandbox is fun, but you're in a small room standing in place and it's easy to hit your friends as you're swinging your gun around. Zero Latency is so much better because you're in a large room where you can walk around and explore the environments. It's located next to the Level Up bar at the counter where the arcade games are We tried the zombie killing games in the past and those are awesome. This time we tried Engineerium which is a mind trip. It's funny because the employees tell their customers it's more for kids, but we tried it and we found it terrifying and awesome. We also tried the pirate game and luckily there was a couple of other guys who joined our party, so we were in the same room and had to split into teams. The guys were worried because we were experienced and one of them said, "We're gonna win,or we're gonna be embarrassed by these ladies." I wanted him to feel better, so I told him, "You don't play these games to win. You play these games to kill." I guess that did the trick because even though I got the high score, we all had fun working together to smoke some pirates. This is always a blast and it's our favorite thing to do in Las Vegas, so if you're on the fence, I recommend giving it a try. So fun! You don't have to be in great shape to play this, but you will sweat from all the low impact activity. Make sure you have closed toe shoes so you don't slipout of your shoes as you're exploring. They have lockers for free for you to use so that you can store your stuff safely. And if theymake you wait because others who have made a reservation are late, they might give you some credits to play the arcade games as you wait. Excellent service. read more

One thing incredible about Virtual Reality is that you're transported into an entirely new dimension where everything you see around you feel so real, and that is insane! Given how advanced technology is, I wanted a new experience and found Virtual Reality at the MGM Grand. It was odd they're not on Yelp, so I spoke with Aiden to confirm their hours. They're open everyday from 11am to 7pm. The venue is actually located on the same floor as Level Up. Currently there are 6 virtual reality experiences being offered and you can view the package details on the MGM Grand website. Price is $50 per person for approximately 30 minutes of game time. It's best to make online reservation ahead so you're guaranteed a spot! The last game is at 5:30pm. They do recommend to arrive 30 minutes early to purchase your ticket. If you don't show up, they will cancel. There is a restroom nearby and complimentary lockers to secure your belongings. I chose Singularity at 4:30pm. This is a more advanced gaming experience where you're in a space station fighting off killer robots. You'll be given instructions about your mission and how to safely use the equipment. They place you in a 2,000 square foot room where you're able roam free all the while immersing yourself into the game. For beginners, if you're not sure what to do, ask for help. Believe me, it was intense! Aiden has been a tremendous guide throughout this experience. I died about 15 times and I still won the game! At the end, the scores are saved and they will email your stats. It was definitely a sweaty workout but all worthwhile! I had a lot of fun and can't wait try the others! The customer service I received from Aiden and Mark is exceptionally awesome! They are courteous, polite, extremely knowledgeable, very helpful in answering questions and providing guidance throughout the process. As for parking, there's ample space at the MGM Grand Underground. I parked on the 3rd floor and it took me about 10 minutes to get to the venue. For Nevada local residents, when you submit your parking ticket and scan your ID at the exit, you get up to 3 hours of free parking, and then it's $12 at 4 hours. Signed up the Dads to kill some zombies. Virtually. Hilarious. U could hear them yelling like they were in a war zone. They were all proud of their kills and came out smiling and sweaty. Note: the kids played the day before and were also laughing, smiling, and NOT sweaty. If you are under age expect to have an adult sit in on the 30 min session for liability purposes. It's fine, they have cushioned seats and they allowed me to video the kids session. Teens liked the multiple levels, scaling walls, going on ramps, a little vertigo, and more that needed clearing. Dads liked the complexity of the Undead Arena VR zombie challenge focusing on kill counts. There are two zombie options. Pirates might be a little more complicated than the zombie Outbreak. OMG sooo MUCH FUN!! It is difficult entertaining super cool teenagers, if you know what I mean, and mine had an absolute blast! Hubble who is not a gamer...said he it was way more enjoyable than he anticipated!! We did both of the zombie VR sessions and they were both great!! We had so many lol moments mixed in with the occasional death scream when we were jump scared. Quick learning curve for us older folks (40 yo) but we caught up quick and by the end we were kicking serious butt!! Such a good family function. We worked together as a team, saving each others lives and scoring major points! This should be advertised for team building!! We couldn't stop talking about it for the last hour! TIP: 30 min goes fast killing zombies! We booked two back to back sessions and it was perfect!! After some time I finally got the charge to reflect $50 instead of $100. Took way longer than it should but I got my money back finally. The process for a refund was brutal and annoying. I lost funds to be able to use on my trip and time since the funds was waiting for refund back to my CC. The refund process took forever. Now, the experience for the first game was dope and I would do it again. The second game was lagging and sound was not working which is why we said just refund us as we were not going to pay for that experience. We will attempt another time at a local spot near us. I would try this place out, staff not the friendliest when you're reporting an issue. Of course since it is not their $50 to play game that is suppose to sound and work correctly. The three stars is for the actual gaming part of the experience, which was a lot of fun. The zombie shoot-em up atmosphere was exciting and the levels are designed well. But the design of the VR room is not a great setup. It's right next to a bar/restaurant, and during our gaming session, they had an event and played the music so loud, we could hear it in our room (no padding to insulate the noises inside), even with headsets on, so we couldn't hear each other, so it ruined the experience by not being able to communicate. Customer service could be better. While our handler inside the room was good, the members outside were more difficult to deal with. It was like pulling teeth to ask them for any compensation for not getting the full experience due to the adjacent event. They even blamed us for not stopping the simulation sooner because of this. Again, the gaming portion is solid; it's just nearly everything else associated with it that's frustrating. read more

Vegas local here! Yep that's right I was born and raised in Las Vegas and I went to the strip LOL. This place was absolutely worth it! My girlfriend and I went here to celebrate our seven-year anniversary. We opted to play the zombie game and since there was only two of us we played with two other players. Definitely wear something lightweight and even when it's cold in Vegas you won't need a jacket for this game. First you are suited up with gear from headgear, to backgear, and your gun. Before you go in they explain all the rules and let you ask any questions. Next they take you into this giant room and the game begins. This is where the real fun starts! The graphics for the game are not great, but it makes it less scary if kids want to play so that's a plus. This definitely felt very real to me and was so much fun. We ran around and defeated zombies and at one point had to climb up a building. This point felt so realistic to me that I had to take my head gear off and walk because I'm terrified of heights. Also, this was super affordable for being on the strip and what they had to offer. They have a variety of other games and I believe it's up to eight players at a time. I will definitely be coming back here and trying some other games and bringing some friends with me! Don't skip this spot if you're visiting Vegas or you're local it's definitely worth the hype. read more
