Always pass this place when I'm in the food court at Ala Moana Center but never did stop by to order anything but today, my husband was staring at the pictures on the wall...guess Haagen-Dazs' posters worked! His favorite is Cookies & Cream so I guess it called him over! Ordered 2 Dazzler Sundae Cookies & Cream, one for him and the other to share with my daughter. We all enjoyed the Sundae but wished there had been less cookie topping and more ice cream...they need a bigger ice cream scooper. The worker we had was really nice and accommodating. I let her know we didn't want the whipped cream and she asked if we wanted more chocolate fudge which I agreed because I love chocolate! The fudge made it a little too sweet for us so it was my fault to agree to it. Next time, no extra fudge. FYI: They have a Loyalty Program where you can earn points for every dollar you spend. Scan the QR code in the picture I posted or you can go to your App Store. Just downloaded their app and I received a "Free Mini Cup or Cone" that expires in 14 days from receipt AND "Free Small Dazzler" that expires 30 days from receipt. YAY! We'll be back...twice for sure! AMENDING THIS PARAGRAPH: My husband downloaded the app and only got the "Free Mini Cup or Cone". I earned the "Free Small Dazzler" because I was gifted this for a Check-In Reward.

Needed something to cool off from this summer heat. Haagen Dazs is one of my favorites, love their midnight cookies and cream! I also love their coffee but unfortunately they were out, so decided to try the pistachio ( nutty, sweet and salty; okay in my opinion). Stood in line for about 15mins for ice cream lol but understandable. The lady that helped us looked pretty burnt out but was soft spoken and nice. The portion were, well, I guess not as big as some other places offer but still was enough to satisfy the ice cream cravings.

The pistachio flavor is absolutely my favorite. Unlike many pistachio ice creams that only have the flavor, this one actually has real pistachio pieces you can bite into, which makes it even better. I also like Häagen-Dazs because the ingredients are simple and trustworthy. The nutty, rich taste feels deep and not overly sweet, so it's something I would definitely order again.

I went up to get a milkshake and a girl named Jessika G took my order and made my milkshake She was kind of rude at first, but I just let it go. After receiving my milkshake, it was watery and nasty. I asked her if she could, please remake it. She rolled her eyes at me and another employee name Mary we made the drink for me and was very sweet but Jessica she was very rude mean and disrespectful! She kept talking very rudely about me. I heard it to another employee. I spent $10 on a milkshake. I don't want a nasty water down milkshake.

Happy National Vanilla Milkshake Day! Hmmm a great reason for a cool treat and why not at Häagen-Dazs. This location is at the Makai Market in Ala Moana Shopping Center which is one of the food courts located on the lower street level and is a good sized corner area where you're able to look at the menu easily along with the choice of ice cream they have to offer. On a mission for my milkshake strange enough with all the vibrant images with some of the menu items them basic menu is "basic" with a board placed atop the display case noting all they have to offer with sizes and price, milkshakes comes in two sizes small and regular ranging with or without toppings are quite expensive. No I didn't get vanilla but the small Coffee Chip which is $8.31, very disappointing as I didn't get coffee and just fragments of chip...taste was bland zero wow factor sadly and after a few sips was done...

Got the dazzle cookies and cream sundae. It was better than I'd expected. I thought it would've been super sweet, but nope! Especially because she asked for whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles. However, it really made it taste better. For some reason, it was really delicious! Maybe cause it's Häagen Daz ice cream. Not too sweet and not bland! Aww dang it! I forgot to take photos! That's how yummy it was. Anywho, this was a good choice for today's dessert. Good choice my bebeh!

Would give zero stars if I could. The service is always horrible when I come here. I tried to give multiple chances but they are just rude. The worker was so sassy to me when I asked a question about the drinks and this is not the first time she'd been rude to me. My shake was also super milky and liquidy and not shake-like at all. The consistency of the drink was like just a little thicker than milk. The only reason I'd come back is because of the fact that there aren't many Haagen Dazs on island.

Amazing. Service amazing! Located in Ala Moana Food court. Anything you could ever want is located here (I do mean ice cream wise)! Very, very clean (just thought I would point that out). I ordered a recommendation, 'Midnight Cookies and Cream', yeah, I'll take it. Amazing!!! Lash and Chiyler were great (ask for one of them). I'll definitely be back, and stop on for a pick me up next time I'm at Ala Moana.

Yummo! Regular size Dazzler sundae banana split. Look at all that goodness waiting to be eaten

Went to the Makai Market food court at Ala Moana shopping center on a busy Saturday afternoon. Hadn't been there in years! My BFF & I had lunch first & then dessert. What better dessert to have on a hot afternoon in Hawaii than ice cream! Long line like the other food places here. I was 8th in line & noticed there was only one worker behind the counter. Why would they have only 1 on a busy day? Shorthanded or someone on break? I thought service was going to be super slow but to my surprise, the line moved along in a good pace. I didn't catch her name but she was fast on her feet, accurate, & kept the line going. Then I saw another worker appear so he either was on break or just started his shift. Kudos to the young lady for her customer service. I hope she is paid well for she is a hard worker. I got the regular sized sundae vs the small & only because the price difference was like 50/60 cents. Small size comes with 2 scoops & regular is 3 scoops. You get your choice of ice cream as well. I first thought the regular size had 2 scoops but when she told me 3 scoops, I was pleasantly surprised. My banana split was so ONO! It tasted as good as it looked. Was only going to eat 1/2 then bring the rest home but my BFF & I were talking story & before I knew it, it was all gone. It was the best banana split I've had in a long time. I selected vanilla, mint chocolate chip, & coffee for ice cream. Banana was firm but sweet, strawberries tasted fresh. It was topped with a huge serving of whipped cream & a cherry. Yummo! Give there sundaes a try, you won't be disappointed. The only downside was the cost, it was just under $10 WOW! $9.50 plus. 45 tax for $9.95. I personally thought it was overpriced but in view of the rising costs everywhere, it's one of those things we have learned to accept in the times we're living in.

With its vibrant layers of color and fresh toppings, the shave ice created a breathtaking first impression. Better yet, it tasted every bit as incredible as it looked. **Hawaiian Rainbow: 5/5** The Hawaiian Rainbow was the perfect sweet treat on a blazing hot day. Layered with housemade coconut spirulina, strawberry, and mango syrups over incredibly soft shave ice, it offered a bright medley of tropical fruit flavors. The shave ice itself was exceptionally smooth and delicate, with a texture reminiscent of fluffy snow that dissolved almost instantly on the tongue. Hidden beneath it was a layer of rich, soft ice cream that provided the perfect creamy contrast to the refreshing flavors. The finishing touches were a generous drizzle of condensed milk and fresh strawberry chunks, whose subtle tang balanced the sweetness beautifully. Homemade mochi added a soft, pillowy chew, while the lychee popping boba contributed subtle floral notes evocative of rosewater. Every element complemented the next, making each spoonful just as enjoyable as the last. Island Vintage Shave Ice more than lives up to its well-earned reputation. From the stunning presentation to the handcrafted syrups, silky-smooth shave ice, and a texturally diverse assortment of toppings, every component came together to create a phenomenal dessert that's every bit as delicious as it is visually captivating. If you're visiting Waikiki, Island Vintage Shave Ice deserves a spot at the top of your must-try list.

4.5* Glad I…read moreremembered this spot. A great place for a break from the heat. The Hawaii Frost soft serve is refreshing. Similar to a smooth, creamy sherbet. For those not familiar, don't expect fresh fruit flavors. The strawberry tasted like strawberry soda mixed with vanilla ice cream. The honeydew tasted like a Melona bar. The large included a rolled cookie which was a nice surprise. The buttered popcorn was a bit chewy, not light, fluffy & crunchy. (-0.5*} The service was friendly & helpful. No 3% credit card fee. There are 2 parking spaces. Both were available when I arrived.

Another colleague and I jumped at the opportunity to tag along on a Friday early afternoon. Located down Umi Street not too far from neighboring New City Nissan on N King Street, Samurai moved to their current location in 1995 serving Maui style sherbet, popcorn and other local snacks. They also expanded to Samurai Snacks Aiea for an impressive 20+ years before closing its doors in May 2023. We arrived shortly after lunch time where we pondered at the menu wondering what to get. It's not fancy here at Samurai - - the storefront is basic and nothing fancy with a few seats patrons can sit on if they decide to eat their treats on premise. Morale has been low at the office so I decided to get some convenient prepackaged 4oz assorted Samurai cups to cheer up the staff. My colleagues also picked up some bags of buttered popcorn with mochi crunch and furikake for an informal office party to welcome the much needed weekend. Because we were already there, we also got some soft serve cups to cool down before heading back to the office. My colleagues had the classic strawberry and blue vanilla swirl and I selected the mango. My colleagues enjoyed their selection but the mango didn't live up to my expectations. The color was vibrant and enticing but sadly the mango flavor did not come through. Each cup came with a sugar roll cookie that was delicious. After our cold treat we headed back to the office with our surprise for our colleagues where it was a big hit. There were many happy faces standing in line grabbing some popcorn and a 4-oz cup of Samurai. Overall, a much better experience with Samurai that's deserving of an update with higher marks. It has been noted in my books to stick to flavors I'm already aware of and avoid trying new ones for that possible disappointment that often happens to me.
