Friendly young staff. Counter had lots of bodies restocking, baking, and working the registers on this weekday evening. Wasnt paying attention when I ordered items from the warmer and ended up getting rhe ugliest, driest ones they had available! Icing is their saving grace but the bread had hardened for most of my Cinnabon items. It was well past its time but still needed to be sold and I was the unlucky customer who got them. It's a Friday and me and my family just went to Cinnabon in the food court because my grandma loves their Cinnabons. When we went the cashier person was RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL. It was an Asian girl wearing a white mask, black bob haircut, pink shirt and a black hat. My sister wanted to pay for my grandma because she has already sacrificed and done enough for my family. My sister apologetically accidentally clicked the wrong button or did something on accident on the card reader when she went to pay. And instead of helping my sister with a professional attitude she ROLLED HER EYES with an EXAGGERATED SIGH and was being moody and bitchy the whole time. Her attitude a 0/10. Now, I know working in a fast food chain is a lot of work, people coming in and you're dealing with a lot of people on a Friday but YOU applied to a FAST PACED environment for a reason. You should be PROFESSIONAL and WELCOMING NO MATTER WHAT!! Treating customers badly just because you had a bad day or it was your last straw doesn't mean you should be UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE. Location: ground level, dh/makai side of the food court. The shop smells incredible and is very clean. Three staff I could see, working the shift. I had to go to Ala Moana to meet a friend, and decided to pick up food for days as I rarely enter the mall these days. Cinnabon was high on the list of food stops as I wanted the center of the rolls and a drink. Well, it has been a few years since I ate my last cinnamon roll and had been wanting one. I was a bit disappointed with this experience. First, the cashier was not the friendliest nor did she take ANY care while packing up my order. The bag, inside and out, was covered in icing as well as all the napkins, and the container containing my treats. By the time I sat down to indulge, I was a sticky mess. Ugh! You can imagine how that all transpired. She was very sloppy. Moving on, the texture was exactly as I remembered; kinda in the stale side. It was cold, so it's understandable. If I had heated it first, I believe it would have been much better. The flavor was not what I expected. The icing combined with extra cinnamon sauce slathered on the top was so sweet. I could only take a couple bites before I went into a sugar coma. Next, my beverage...a large diet coke, full ice, half soda. Another staff member assisted with preparing my drink. I was very impressed. Whenever I order a drink that way, I always hope the worker understands, and cross my fingers. This person did it exactly how I do it myself; a little ice, half soda, the rest of the cup all ice. He did ask me, before he lidded the cup, if it was ok. It was perfect! The shop also has the best pellet size chewable ice! I gave this location 3 stars because of the worker who prepared my drink and the ice. Just stopped by for my first Mochalotta Chill in years and I regret it. Apparently you need to ask for whip cream and apparently you also need to ask for ice. I was originally handed a cup with a lid so when I mentioned that I thought it came with whip cream he said, "Oh you wanted whip cream?". I told him that I didn't know I needed to ask since the picture is advertised with it and thats how I recall them coming many years ago. He then took my cup back, emptied some of the drink out, poured on some whip cream, closed it up and handed it to me. Cinnabon is synonymous with its extraordinary decadent cinnamon buns that are frosted and really sinfully delicious. Needless to say that I don't usually hit that up, since it's grossly unhealthy and generally reserved for special occasions. With that said, I came here on a promise that I would get something for free from a friend after having lunch at Ala Moana shopping center. It was cool, I suppose getting free stuff from a friend randomly. "What do you want?", she said, "My treat." I shrugged my shoulders and looked puzzled at the menu board. I looked also at their cinnamon buns being prepared and the people ahead of us ordering a dozen of them. My experience here at this Cinnabon location was good, although regretful, but good. I ended up getting one regular Cinnabon, which isn't the brightest idea and a Oreo cookie shake, also a bad idea. While I was drinking it, I felt good, but in the coming days, I started resenting it, but as is life, I started hating myself. I guess it's one of those things. Once in a while. My experience here at Cinnabon lasted about 10 minutes from start to finish. The service here was good and friendly, typical of a fast food place, usually. Yeah that's my experience. Best to choose the 1st floor parking for shade and convenience, then walk on over. If you're like me, many bus routes start and end at Ala Moana shopping center. Choose the right ones that work best for you. For the most part though, it was a definite guilty pleasure that keeps on giving. It can be whatever you want it to be. For myself though, I'll try to contain it to special events. On our most recent visit, the food court was pretty empty due to Covid closures and social distancing from patrons. You would think with all the space available now, people would have no problem social distancing. Easier said than done for many... This location has a door toward the parking lot and an entrance into the food court. To me it makes sense to make it a "one way" only lane since its a narrow shop. People still insist on walking in, then scooting very closely by patrons waiting in line against the wall. SMDH. This cant always be helped by the business but it would be nice for the employees to kindly ask customers that finish their purchase to exit toward the parking lot. There's no where to sit near Cinnabon anyways, vamos! Besides that rant, Cinnabon rolls are always good. The employee was young and probably not happy about working, but he wasn't rude. Getting an original Cinnabon for me is always a treat. Of course I have to get another one for the fam lol. It's a bit narrow inside which also has two exits. I used to get the pecan one but as I got older I preferred the original. Throughout the recent years, it seems like they skimp on the frosting and hustle you for extra.. I came all the way from Hawaii Kai to Ala Moana to get Cinnabon for my family. They close at 8pm yet were completely sold out of Cinnabons rolls by 715pm. That's poor business practices and surely the owner wouldn't be pleased to know their stores are running out of product way before closing. Plus they were too lazy to make a new batch. Workers were lazy. Disappointing, go to the pretzel place instead. I can eat this all day. Customer service is ok. Sucky part is their phone doesn't work. I was calling and all you hear is static. I wanted to pre-order the cookies for a party but the phone doesn't work. Went in today and the boy said the phone is cut. Oh ok. So I wanted to order 12 but only could get 4 cookies. Why advertise if you can't make it? Came in at 530pm they close at 700pm I guess making extra is not their thing. Came in another time and they ran out of mocha powder for a hot drink. I understand due to Covid things are scarce if you can't make it don't advertise. I drive far and I spend on gas, what a disappointment they can't make the cookies or have the right ingredients. The last time we ordered Cinnabon, one of them had a long hair baked into it. Gross. Customer service here is non existent too. We tried to use the T-Mobile Tuesdays offer and the cashier rudely pointed to a TINY sign by the register that says they don't do any promotions. Why don't you put a large sign by the front?? The cinnamon aromas caught our attention just before dining at a nearby restaurant. We said to ourselves that we should just save the thought until after lunch and THAT we did. Service is a counter-only but there are lots of seats outside in the food court. We've always received friendly and efficient service since coming here. Whenever we've been here, there have been maybe one or two customers ahead of us or sometimes none at all. Yet, we trust that these luscious cinnamon rolls are fresh and warm out from their ovens. If you buy the Classic Cinnabons individually, it'll cost you somewhere around $4.30 but the deal to get is their Cinnapack where you essentially get one FREE Cinnabon. For example, we were going to just purchase 3 rolls with the plan on eating one right away and saving the other 2 for the next morning. The counter help recommended getting a pack of 4 for only $13.99! She even offered to heat up one or two for us. CHA-CHING! Alas, as fellow Yelper Fran C mentioned in his review, the nutrition facts of these sweet treats are daunting but, it's not like we'd eat these daily!
