The place is small and quaint with outside seating if the weather is nice. The owner Joe wiped the outside table off for us and brought our bowl out to us after we ordered. He was very pleasant and chatted with some other customers who appeared to have been regulars. The açaí bowl was delicious. My daughter and I shared it because it was enough for two. I told the staff that it didn't resemble the pictures in their store. It didn't appear to have any pistachio cream in it. (If it was in there, there was so little of it that you could not taste it.) And the concoction I got was basically just chocolate ice cream with everything all mixed together as a single shade of brown. I paid $12.95 for this terrible thing. I showed the staff the problem. They looked in my cup. They refused to do anything about it. I asked for more pistachio/kanafi crunch stuff and they replied that their manager wouldn't like that. I was very dissatisfied and disappointed with this, so much so that I wrote corporate. KFT has no business selling this for $12.95. If you pay a premium price for something (drinks are normally $5 to $7 here), you expect it to be decent. I feel like I was severely cheated.

Nonetheless, I got a scoop of coffee. It was very tasty - I pretty much eat Haagen Dazs exclusively for both its taste and price. I can usually get a pint at Walmart for between $3-$4. This coffee ice cream had a little different coffee taste than Haagen - which I liked. However, it didn't seem as creamy, which was fine. My partner got the chocolate, which she said was average. One scoop was a little over $5, which is about average these days for your stand alone ice cream shops. While I was satisfied with the taste of my cone, I probably won't go back until they 'clean up' the store.
