I also ordered the breakfast sandwich with two soufflé pancakes as the bread (you have the option of choosing bacon or sausage as your breakfast meat). The spicy yuzu chicken bites are quite small (the same size as Chick-fil-a's chicken bites) and they're a little dry but the spicy mayo sauce makes it taste good. The more you eat, the more you can't stop eating them. For the breakfast sandwich, I had a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich (the egg was quite runny and it broke as I ate my sandwich), and it came with tater tots and a side salad. I thought the breakfast sandwich was alright but I don't think I would order it again. I didn't realize it had cheese (which I usually ask to remove) and I usually like my eggs well cooked (no runny yoke). The breakfast sandwich was quite filling though because of the soufflé pancakes, acting like pieces of bread. The side salad was good because of the vinaigrette dressing but the tater tots weren't that great. The tater tots reminded me of the ones you would get from school lunches back in middle school. Then, we ate the matcha soufflé pancakes (as if it was dessert). I really enjoyed it. The pancakes were fluffy and soft, and the matcha cream on top was sweet but not too sweet. I like they have savory and sweet options, and I would come back here again, especially for the yuzu bites and matcha soufflé pancake. :)

After 1 hr and 30 min, we got the goods and had to check the boxes, we were missing syrup for one of them. We hoped to eat there, but there were NO tables available. So, we went to chi cha San, like a 2 min drive away, ordered a bubble tea and sat to eat in peace. The Jalapeño honey chicken with signature soufflé pancakes was a 4/5, crispy tender chicken and great pancakes. Could have incorporated the Jalepenos or honey into the dish more and would have been a 5/5. The matcha tiramisu was a disaster. 2/5. The pancakes themselves are the original signature, with a dusting of matcha and cocoa on top - which made for very unexpected bitter bites. The matcha syrup and whipped cream was ok. This would have been much better if the matcha or cocoa were incorporated into the batter and maybe using a matcha or cocoa glaze drizzle instead of straight matcha and cocoa powder. We preferred to remove all the matcha and cocoa powder as best as possible and eat with the syrup. Would not try this one again. It's a small cute shop, go on a weekday or call ahead, like an hour+ ahead to order and pick up. I probably won't try again for a few more weeks for them to work out the kinks further.

I got the filet mignon medium rare and did not remove any of the standard offerings. First bite was just a carrot overload, they say the carrots are pickled but that acidity just wasn't there so it was just carrot flavor. The filet mignon is fried but didn't have a crunch or much seasoning to it so it relatively tasted like a meat was present. The "House special sauce" had such a minuscule effect on the sandwich until the end middle of the half. The bread was standard Banh Mi baguette style roll but wasn't anything remarkable in regard to crunch, softness and taste. Overall I give the Gettin' Fancy an unfortunate 3/10 "The Classic" held up to it a name, it's very much a classic Banh mi, we initially thought the "belly cuts" were going to be more of a thick pork belly but was deli slice thin. Not a big problem but the sandwich lacked depth, I found myself hav3 similar flavor experiences between the two sandwiches which wasn't great but I think that comes from the overuse of the vegetables which overshadowed the meats for me. It came with spicy ketchup which we actually, it's nothing too crazy, very true to the name. The Furikake Fries get a nice 6.5/10 We got 3 drinks but I forgot to snap a picture, forgive me. We got the Matcha Cloud Latte, Mi n' Tea Milk Tea, and some coffee but didn't try that so I can't judge. The milk tea was terrible, very standard Milk tea with zero personality, and the boba was very plain which barely any sweetness. The only grace I will give is that I did order the sweetness level to 75% so maybe the 100% is better but overall it wasn't creaming in the slightest, and was soooo watery. The Mi n' Tea Milk Tra gets a sad 1/10 I'm not the biggest matcha fan but I thought the Matcha Cloud Latte was pretty good. Same 75% sweetness but it was still pretty good. I'm not too well versed on matcha so I don't have much to say, overall giving the Matcha Cloud Latte a solid 7/10 The service was good, not the biggest space, very standard cafe, but not much seating. However, one of the items I purchased, I was rung up for $17. I know it is a small difference but if you're going to have an item that is going to be a different cost, you need to advertise that to your customers. It's pretty shady and just leaves a bad taste.
