For that reason I have been putting off doing my nails for months while trying to do them myself but it honestly is just not the same. J nails is located in the town center next to the UPS store & it is actually a big salon suite, meaning when you walk in there are other independent salon owners in there so I had to ask someone if they knew "J nails" and I was pointed to the right direction. Here I am thinking I was going to be able to walk into a salon and possibly do a "walk in" appt but it is actually just Jolyn here in her private nail studio. Luckily, she was finishing up a client and said she can take me after. Very sweet & a true nail artist. I love the private vibes in here. I am pretty picky about my nails and let me tell you... I am so happy & lucky to have found her! Her work speaks for itself, beautifully crafted & she gives amazing hand massages. If you try to call & you don't get an answer, keep in mind she is her own boss so might be busy with a client, send her a text with the service you're interested in and availability. He used the drill with way too much pressure to remove my gel. It was so intense that it felt hot and painful. I've been getting gel manicures for decades, so I know how it should feel. Thinking it would make my outcome to my liking, less shaping for her to do. Nope. She aggressively filed them into stiletto shape. I was super angry, I paid and left without her polishing them. I will soak these off and get them done tomorrow to my liking. I'm not sure if it's on purpose or she just doesn't care what the customer wants but I will not be back.
