We were lucky enough to do two pedicures as walk-ins. The shop is bright and clean, very nice. Overall my husband and I enjoyed our service... however: My massage chair didn't work and I had to sit on the very edge of my seat (height challenged) and my husband's toenails were cut too short one two toes (he was bleeding at the tips). I last minute asked for a matching manicure bc I loved the glitter polish I chose for my pedi. My technician didn't seem to mind but I felt the mani was rushed. My toes are packed with shiny glitter with at least three or four layers. On my fingernails, only two layers and you can see my nail beds. Idk if we'll be back, overall decent service. read more

Updated Review!! Overall Rating: 2.5 Stars I've been a loyal customer of Vela Nail Lounge and I am so disappointed to have to write this update. However, my last experience as well as communication with trying to book a new appointment just was not it for me. Despite not being happy with how my last gel x nail set turned out, I still decided to go back for a new appointment because I absolutely adore Helen. However, I am not a fan of how things were handled customer service wise, in addition to surprise charges (i.e. additional $5 for shaping nails?) that may pop up. Location: Vela Nail Lounge is located in a shared lot with other businesses. Parking: There is plenty of parking in the shared lot. Ambiance/Decor: Beautiful! You really feel luxurious from the moment you arrive. The pedicure chairs are nice and cozy, the room temperature is perfect and they have multiple televisions playing with different options of what to watch (I loved that they had my favorite soap opera playing today!). It really does have the perfect lounge vibe! The ambiance music was great, too. My Nail Service/Nail Tech: I have consistently gotten the "Lavish" Pedicure and a Gel X application. Helen does a great job, however, my last experience, the polish (that I was charged extra for) was too thick, looked messy, and just was not desirable. Helen did offer to fix the issue and offered to change the color since she was aware of how the application appeared. Overall: I am bummed that I now have to find a new nail salon since I am just not a fan based on my last experience both with my nails as well as the customer service I received. I like to spend money on my pampering services where it is valued and worthy. I hope this updated review helps you decide on where to have a self care day in Las Vegas! Yesterday I visited with my girlfriend for a manicure and pedicure. While the staff was generally courteous, I was dissatisfied with the pedicure service. During treatment of an ingrown toenail on my right big toe, the area was not disinfected afterward. I later experienced significant pain and had to clean and treat the wound myself, which showed bleeding from the depth of the extraction. Additionally, proper nail preparation and sanitation steps appeared to be overlooked before the clear coat was applied. Based on this experience and the quality of care provided, I will not be returning and recommend that others exercise caution when seeking similar services here. read more

Horrible service, didn't do as I asked , wanted sparked on ring finger, pedicure was God awful girl was doing my nails as I was getting pedi causing me to twist my back, and she kept turning off massage chair so I couldn't even enjoy that, told her not to cut nails but she did and I couldn't see what she was doing because I again was getting pedi and nails done at same time so it was hard keeping up.. she cut my skin on. nail bed, nails are so uneven, and then they had the nerve to charge me $92 for crappy service, NEVER AGAIN, don't even recommend them... I have to believe that they have people posting fake reviews because I know a few people who have gotten their nails done and they were not happy with the results read more

I've been looking for a new nail salon and decided to try this one based on reviews. They conveniently have a number you can call or text to make appointments, and they responded very quickly to me. This salon is somewhat close to where I live, so I made an appointment for 9:30 on a Friday morning. They greeted me right when I walked in and showed me to the chair for my pedicure first. The chair was okay, but not the most comfortable. I was also picking my manicure color and they were able to match my pedicure to it. I got the Lavish pedicure, which was just that. I really liked the time and care that went into my pedicure as it was definitely a treat for myself. My legs and feet desperately needed it! Miley also began my gel mani in the pedicure chair and ended up finishing it there as well. It was pretty busy with multiple coming in, a lot of them regulars, which is a testament to the salon quality. However, I will say I'm pretty disheartened because I wanted to get a wine red/black ombré. I showed them a picture and they told me I couldn't do it because my nails were too short. I trusted what they said and got some gold flakes instead, but now I'm looking at pictures other customers have posted and they have similar length with an ombré design. I'm wondering if I didn't explain myself well enough, because the picture I showed them had almond shaped nails and maybe they thought I wanted the shape too instead of just the design. read more

I'll start with the fact that they were super nice and the salon was cute. I'm giving 3 stars because I was unhappy with my dip powder job. Nails were super chunky and not uniform shape. They charge $10 extra to cut your cuticles which I thought was silly. Isn't that the whole point of a manicure? And she cut me twice when filing / removing cuticles. For the price and quality of work, not coming back here. read more

I was in Vegas visiting my brother and his family. My sister-in-love wanted us to get pedicures together. We searched Yelp and she found this place. Walking in, it was very nice. It definitely didn't look or feel like the nail spas I usually go to. Maybe that's why they call it a lounge. Absolute lounge vibes here. The place was beautiful and the women/technicians were very sweet. I don't remember which pedi I chose but I did choose the green tea option to go with it. OMG. Bomb!! It smelled amazing and the massage was great. She made my toenails beautiful and my feet much softer than when I walked in. I highly recommend this lounge. I will for sure be back when I visit again. BEWARE NEW MANAGEMENT! I've been a repeat customer for years. Today I arrived for my bi-weekly gel manicure and lavish pedicure. I was told my regular nail tech, Jimmy, had a family emergency and would be gone for a couple weeks. My appointment was at 1030 am. My service did not begin until 1110 am. I explained I was traveling and had time constraints. At the completion of my service, my nails looked horrible. I asked to speak to a manager, I was told there wasn't a manager available. I was required to pay full price. See the photos. I've been a loyal customer since this place opened. I've never experienced the waiting, lack of customer service, poor communication, or poor quality I did today. I was told by one of the techs, Jimmy quit two weeks ago, so they lied? Top notch customer service with a very laid back vibe. I came in with a design idea for my Gel X nails and I ended up not liking it. I came back two days later (I couldn't come the very next day because they were closed) and they took care of taking it off and putting in a whole new set/design at no charge. They had a very professional, kind attitude the entire time were very professional. Ryan is at the front desk and took care of me the entire time and Helen did my nails! read more

Stopped in for a pedicure today and they were full but managed to fit me in immediately with Tina, best pedicure ever! She gave me the best massage and was very sweet. I will definitely be coming back here. We just moved from Texas; try to find a great salon near our house and know how to do dipping nails (what I always get in Texas). Tristy did my nails; I had a fun conversation with her, she was so sweet, and my nails look great. She does know the right way to dip nails. I can tell she really appreciates her co-workers and her clients. The day I came in, she bought drinks for all her co-workers because they were a little short staffed. I've been coming to Vela for a few months now and have been loving it. I made the switch after my previous salon got too pricey and had a lot of nail tech turnover. I was looking for another spot with lots of dip options which they for sure have. They've been doing a great job with following all of the covid guidelines. I always feel clean and safe. They require each guest to wash their hands before, wear masks at all times and have plastic dividers up. I love how fast they are with their services. A dip removal and mani takes only about an hour. The quality isn't taken for granted either. I've been to a few different techs now and all of them seem to do a good job. If you're looking for a great new nail salon, this is your spot. read more

Came here a few days ago for an acrylic full French set.. Literally these nails were such a joke and this was after asking for changes like 5 times. I feel like he just did them super sloppy and didn't even care to make them look good. Also, top coat was separating for some reason and instead of taking it off and starting over he just kept adding top coats. Went to a different nail salon the next day and had to repay for another full set because they don't give refunds ;) just a $35 gift card which is no where near what I paid. They offered to redo them for free which was fine but considering how they turned out the first time I wouldn't waste my time going back. read more

I have been here several times spending $140+ and leaving good tips. For some reason 3 times after getting a full set, within 5 days, my nails keep falling off. This has never happened before so I tried different techniques like the dip powder which was recommended as their specialty. Still my nails all fall of like press on nails within 5 days. I have never gave an attitude and I have kept coming back to give them chances, yet the owner thought the fix to all this was to give me $50 gift card to use obviously in this nail salon that doesn't use high quality products. Basically, I'm done here. Never returning because 1) the products used are not good quality and 2) bad business. I don't appreciate bad business or this $50 gift card. read more

Been coming here for 2 years never had a problem, i paid 80$ for a gel fill and my nails developed mold underneath. I came in 3 days later and they still charged me 15$ for a removal and no option for a refund after completely destroying my nails. They tried to blame me and say i should have come in sooner but i've never had this happen to me before and usually don't need a fill for about 2 weeks.. I'm pretty satisfied with this nail salon. It's clean, it's easy to get last minute appointments, and they have a large selection of colors for gel, dip, and regular polish. I realized dip powder is not for me- it's too thick and ends up cracking. Looks weird as it's growing out bc of the thickness. I do like their gel manicure though. Mine never last more than a week but so far it's still going strong after 1.5 weeks. They charged $5 to remove the dip powder which is weird to me if I am paying for a new manicure. Minus 1 star for that. read more

Made an appointment for a dip manicure over text. They put dip on my nails and that was it. The manicurist didn't clean it up, clean the dip off of my skin, or clean up my cuticles. When I asked about it after, she said I had to ask for it before they start. So if you want them to clean up your nails and cuticles, ask before they start, not when you make your appointment! The person who gave me a pedicure had to remove the dip from my skin because the manicurist didn't have time to clean up afterwards. The pedicure was the best part! The owner did offer to find a technician to clean it up after I paid but I was too annoyed and wanted to leave. read more

Ended up here in a pinch my regular place was booked out for days. Over priced for the services they provide. If you are looking for something basic you might be ok. But don't go here with any type of nail design. Go to Sparkle nail bar down the street and they will get you right. In response to the owners comment: You are blatantly lying. It only took one hour. The appointment was at 2:30 and was done by 3:30. I'm curious as to why you are offering other people that have complained about the service a 7 day money back guarantee or that you would fix them. We were not offered any of those options. And if the nails were photoshopped as you say how come you didn't tell us up front that you wouldn't be able to even get close to the look. All you said was you could not do the length. You never said the nails were impossible to recreate. It seems the only people that leave positive reviews are not people that are into nails. So super expensive basic nails are ok for them. This is not the place if you are under 50 and have any type of taste or style. read more

So if you request a basic pedicure + gel color they try to push you to go through a menu or pick higher prices of course if you look at the menu DO NOT pick the first one or say regular because it might as well NOT EVEN be on there . She did nothing but soak my feet , dried them and finished by doing the gel. I've never asked for a pedicure ANYWHERE else where they don't scrub your feet once, Lotion??? Any salon even paying for regular nail polish you get lotion..I'm not requesting special treatment for heels but she didn't even scrub my foot once, she dried it and added the gel pedicure. This was my first time, so I called ahead to ask questions about walking in vs. scheduling an appointment, the services offered, and the prices. I spoke to Tristie , who was very sweet. She explained all my service options, gave clear prices, and patiently repeated information when asked. Tristie's attitude gave me confidence that I would be visiting a professional, friendly establishment. When I arrived for my appointment, the salon confirmed the services I wanted and even offered my sister and I something to drink several times. Like most salons, they had a huge selection of dip powder colors. I've been to salons that rush you to choose between hundreds of colors, but this salon didn't do that. They weren't pushed down, the weren't clipped, etc. First, she said she did it, until several techs looked at my nails and then she changed her story and said she COULDN'T do it, and now you are saying "she did but only a little". I got a deluxe pedicure ($20 extra, but 100% worth it) from Donna. She was so, so sweet! She really took her time and gave me not one, but *two* amazing massages. Madam did my manicure--she was actually the original manicurist who welcomed me in and got me settled in the massage chairs. She was very nice, made great conversation, and did fast, excellent work. They actually have bolster pillows for the manicures, which made a huge difference for me. I went back on 6/13/26, which was my birthday, to have the peeling polish corrected. Later that same day, after simply putting my hand into my back pocket, the polish peeled again. The manicure looked terrible. I returned a third time on 6/16/26, and a different technician repaired the nails. Now, on 6/18/26, the polish has peeled yet again. I have been getting no-chip manicures for years and have never experienced anything like this. The issue wasn't just one bad nail--it was repeated failures requiring multiple correction visits. What makes this even more frustrating is that the salon is approximately 30 minutes from my home. I only chose this location because I was already in the area returning Amazon purchases at Whole Foods. Between the original appointment and two correction visits, I have spent far more time and gas than should be required for a basic no-chip manicure. Today I called and requested a refund because I now need to pay another salon to completely redo my nails. I was told refunds are not given due to salon policy. However, I did not see any posted or documented no-refund policy in the salon. At this point, I have made every reasonable effort to allow the salon to correct the problem, and the manicure continues to fail. I will not be returning, nor can I recommend this business to others.
