This is my beautiful girl , her name is kora I just got her today and let me tell you my experience with this facility, first I was scheduled in for a walk through I came there the front desk lady was very welcoming and sweet , then I got to meet Jessie who walked me and my husband through the facility which might I add smelled and looked so clean for me that's a huge thing I love clean places and this one definitely was very clean very put together , she's an amazing person very caring very sweet she is great with communication had us meet kora who we fell in love with right off the bat , walked me through everything I need to know reassured me many times because I was nervous I appreciate her for all the help she gave me , then nick came in and talked with me and my husband he's a great person very friendly , kind, over all we had such a great experience with this facility with Jessie and nick they definitely know what they are doing very good at what they do , if you are thinking bout getting a dog i highly highly recommend you check out I-Guard International they also have more services that they provide at the facility, give them a call and ask away ... 10/10 recommend 100% clean , friendly, communicative , respectful and reassuring facility , all the employees are super kind and helpful we and my husband are so in love with kora she's a beautiful girl we are nervous as we are newish to this but we will do anything that we need to do to keep kora a happy healthy girl , thank you to everyone in the facility who helped us we appreciate yall. read more

There are three types of dog owners. The first understands the commiment required to successfully own a dog. The second doesn't, but will learn and follow through. P0The third, well they shouldn't own dogs. I-Guard is a top tier breeder and trainer. My first dog, a male named Brick, was purchased a little late at around 3 months old. He was almost completely potty trained as their puppies all go home with employees to get the training started. I think we had two accidents and that was it. He was a beautiful dog. Gorgeous. And extremely intelligent. He developed an inoperable spinal tumor at 14 months old. We were devastated. The vets all agreed that it was something that happens occasionally and it was no ones fault. Nick honored his guarantee and replaced Brick with a beautiful female named Xena. But, before we met Xena, we adopted Zeus. Zeus came to us with behavioral problems and we brought him to Nick fir help. Now, Nick is not cheap. And Nick does not like to negotiate. But Nick is a businessman. He has established what he will and will not do in his business. Nick held on to Zeus for 6 weeks. Fortunately for us, Zeus' former mom was generous and loving and wound up paying for it. But, to be a success, YOU HAVE TO ENFORCE THE RULES WHEN YOU GET HOME! Ignore the negative reviews. These people are rock stars. My dogs are amazing. Zeus was a changed dog. The results were remarkable. Xena, who was the replacement for Brick, is also incredibly intelligent, loving, and sweet as can be. Both dogs are the talk of the dog park. We had an amazing experience with I-Guard! I had researched breeders in Washington and Oregon and had contacted several with no response back, but I-Guard called me back within 24 hours. They set expectations up front about how the process worked, communicated regularly, and have kept in touch since we brought our puppy home. The customer service experience was great! And we LOVE our puppy! I had GSDs growing up and this girl exceeds our expectations already! At 8 weeks, she was well on her way to potty trained, she understands several commands, has a very sweet demeanor and gets along great with our other dog, cats, and kids. We had specific needs and I-Guard matched us perfectly with our puppy. We have acreage, wild animals, 4 cats, young and older children, a 5 year old yellow lab and lots of friends and their dogs coming and going. Our puppy adapted well from the beginning, she's curious, sweet, eager to please, easy-going, and intelligent. I-Guard spent time with us and made us feel at home when we picked our puppy up and have checked in often since we brought her home. The boarding and training facility is very clean, spacious, and the staff is professional and friendly. Now they just need a facility in Seattle! I took my dog to I-Guard International to have her trained as a Service Animal. I-Guard claimed they were the only trainers within the area that could certify her as a service animal. I-Guard gave me a "discounted" rate since I am a disabled veteran. I was very clear to the owner several times I could not afford more than $500.00 a month and to cut my training off once I reached that amount until I paid the bill off. The owner lied, there is no certification for service animals. When I received my first three invoices the daily rate was almost double what we agreed upon. There were items on the invoice that I never received such as leashes, balls, bathes, medication and food. Yes food they tried to charge me for food for a board and train. They also never applied my deposit to my invoices. September 2013 The board and train was great at first. I was introduced to the trainer Mr. France and he was outstanding! My dog went for a 7 day board and train to polish her up. Seven days came and went so I called the owner (Mr. Lungu), he said she is almost there but she needs more work and asked for 3 more days. We agreed and those 3 more days came and went with no word. I called again and I was told Mr. Lungu wanted her to be perfect, just needed a few more days. Finally at 17 days I had to demand her back from the owner. When I went to pick her up the owner of I-Guard (Mr. Lungu) was no where to be found. Mr. France was there and he walked me through a quick lesson (maybe 15 minutes). The world was grand! October My daughter was so impressed she took her Rottweiler to I-Guard and Mr. Lungu was the one who "trained" her dog. Once again 3 days turned into 7, 7 turned into 10 and I stepped in and told Mr. Lungu she needed her dog back. Once again when I picked her dog up with her, Mr. Lungu no where to be found. I was happy up until this point. We brought my daughters dog home and there was no difference at all. He didn't even sit and so we called the owner of I-Guard, who did not answer. Then we called Mr. France and he explained he did not train that dog, Mr. Lungu was the one. At the time my daughters dog was being "trained" by Mr. Lungu, Mr. Lungu was posting pictures of his out of town trip. I finally get a call back from Mr. Lungu and he rips my head off over the phone how why am I calling his employees and that he is the only trainer, Mr. France was just his employee. blah blah blah. Things settled down, still having issues with my billing and making monthly payments of $500.00. Told the owner of I-Guard no training in November until my billing is fixed. End of November (the 22nd - 27th I believe) Mr. Lungu called to state that they were going to do Canine Good Citizenship testing and my dog "needed" that to become certified service animal. I thought she already was after all he gave me a over sized service dog vest with patches and told me to cut it up to make it fit her. I was instructed to take my dog the day before at "No Charge" and let them polish her up so she passes the test the first time. The testing got pushed out another day and then another day. Finally third day I picked her up as I could no longer wait for them, of course they charged me. As soon as I got her home I noticed fresh wounds on her back legs like from a leather whip. At close inspection there were marks and wounds on both legs and her back. I sent the owner of I-Guard an email along with some other issues I had. He told me to bring her up in two days for the testing and we will discuss everything. I BELIEVE MY DOG WAS ABUSED! Day of testing I texted Mr. Lungu to see how she did as I was out of town for the day. He replied that she bit the instructor and failed. When I sent more text they went unanswered, so I called and the owner of I-Guard did not answer. I jumped into my car and raced to I-Guard where he told me he was just joking. At the meeting in front of my family and other customers the owner of I-Guard started belittling me to make me look stupid. Another client came up to me while I was leaving and told me that he would have punched the guy in the mouth. At this point I was done with Nick and I-Guard International. I asked for my final bill and it was still wrong. When I questioned it again they quit talking to me. About a week later at 10pm Sunday night I was served with papers to show up in court. We went to court and my original bill of almost $4800.00 was reduced to just over $3200.00 at the time of filing the court case, and the judge awarded Mr. Lungu $1,390.62 of that $3200.00. I paid this within 21 days of the judgement and my check was returned. Finally last month a collection agency contacted me and I paid the judgement off. Still have not received the paperwork saying I have paid it off. I would never recommend Mr. Lungu, I-Guard, or any business owned or ran by the same person. AVOID THIS BUSINESS, Too many ETHICAL business owners / dog services in the area to put up with these kind of things. read more

I don't know where all these negative reviews are coming from. My husband and I purchased a dog from I-Guard International in April of 2015 and it was a good experience, start to finish. Our puppy was trained beautifully and her temperament continues to be just as described. The boarding facility was clean and extremely well maintained. I had the opportunity to observe dogs in the play yard, and have never seen a more professionally run playgroup. ALL of the dogs there were having a great time, and each received special attention from the attending employee. Believe me, I have 3 dogs and it is very difficult to find pet boarding that you can trust. I trust I-Guard. As for the owner, he knows his dogs well. He is an outstanding breeder with superior knowledge of breed standards. Additionally, he is arguably the best trainer in the Spokane area, if not the Pacific Northwest. I read the old reviews. They all sound like the rantings of a bitter ex-employee, or a low quality customer with poor communication skills. Viva la Vivian! read more

I purchased a beautiful German Shepherd puppy from iGaurd International (in Liberty Lake, WA) last Summer. This very sweet dog has cost thousands in Vet bills during her first year because of extreme allergies and teeth issues. Not only is cost a concern but she has been an uncomfortable puppy that has had to go to many vet appointments. (During the pandemic when her owners were not allowed to go into the vet with her.) In addition there was confusion about her lineage and now iGaurd is having an issue getting her registration papers sent out to us. Without going on and on about this let me just say that I would not recommend them at all. read more

Our experience at I-Guard International has been very positive. We've been with them since 2013 when we got our first German Shepherd, Jack. With Nick's helpful guide, we placed Jack under his training. Jack has become a more well behaved dog and is easier to train because of his help. We purchased our puppy from I-Guard in June of this year. It was, and continues to be a great experience. Nick, the owner has been wonderful to work with, and every member of his staff is knowledgeable and VERY helpful. We have used K-9 Country Club's Doggy Daycare, Grooming and Beginning Obedience Training services. Every time has been a positive experience. The facility is always immaculate, there is ample staff so someone is always there to help or answer question. The store is large and very well stocked with food, bedding, treats, training aids, supplements, and practically everything a first time dog owner or an experienced owner could need. If they try to sell you a "service dog," run, run very far away. They are not certified at all regarding service animals. They arent even certified for CGC (Good Canine Behavior). We paid so much for a dog that we were told was a service animal and she unfortunately, is not. We had to retrain and reestablish discipline and are paying to have real trainers certify her now. They use fear and brut tactics to train their animals and that only goes so far. Our animal was sick and she had scabs all around her neck (from a training collar from what I witnessed. Thus, speculation of brut training tactics). We were told that we would be explained and trained her commands. But after they took our money, never heard from them again. We love our dog, it's not her fault and shes definitely in a better home. But we're definitely unhappy with such a poor business transaction. They're only getting one star because I love my dog. We are state licensed breeders in WA state, and had a really bad experience with NIck as a breeder. One of our dogs was in heat and my husband called Nick to find out about his Stud fees and dogs available for the Stud service. He gave us a really good price of $600, and choice of 3 males to choose from. We live 5 hours away from Spokane but the price was right and we decided to go. We did all the tests to our female Alisha, and she was ready for breeding. When we came to Nick's property, he asked us to take our dog outside and started to check her training skills (?), showing us that he knows more about how trained our dog is, telling that she is not trained and may bite our kids and more... After that he brought his males out the small trailer, and we picked the one we liked. Then....he said that we can go back to the hotel, leave our dog on his property, and he will send us the proof of the breeding, which is a picture from his cell-phone. We paid the fee up front - $600 cash and went to the hotel ,waiting for the proof. That night he didn't send us a picture telling that he didn't have time to take the picture. Next morning he supposed to breed the dogs again but he said that our female was not ready (?) and cannot be bred. He didn't return money back, no proof of dogs being bred, nothing. We were very upset and angry, and decided to breed our dog to our friend's male, and dogs tied up right away, after we brought our female to their place. Now....We decided to check if Nick really bred our female to his male when we were waiting in the hotel. After 2 months, when our female gave birth to 5 beautiful puppies, we wrote Nick a letter stating that puppies are here and we need to register them. And what next ? Of course, he said that we need to make a DNA test for each puppy to proof that they are from his male. I think the picture is clear. He took the money, didn't breed the dogs, and thought we might just have a false pregnancy. I think people can't do successful business if they are not honest, thinking that other people are fools. We live in 21st century where good reputation is something you cannot buy or hide. The case we had with Nick was in 2013, but I see more and more people getting disappointed for their experience with I-Guard. I want the customers be aware of his practices, and don't waste your money for the poor attitude. read more

Update: We just brought home our GSD from the board and train program. She was there for a month and a half and words cannot explain how happy we are. She is exactly we're we wanted her to be coming home and look forward to further training for both our dogs. The information we have been given on how to continue her training at home as well as the regular training we have our other dog has more than prepared is for continued work at home. If you are looking for a quality Shepherd, Show Line or Working Line, look no further. I have just recently purchased my Show Line Shepherd from Nick. I have looked at many many breeders in Washington State and Oregon. If you want a dog that has an ear that's 1 1/2 inches shorter than the other, or it looks like someone left it for a day at a tanning salon, go pay those other breeders your 800-1500. If you want a quality, intelligent dog, with a well known and trusted quality blood line, come to I Guard International. They directly import from Germany and the Czech Republic. I cannot thank Nick enough. My husband and I purchased a German Shepherd puppy from Nick in August. Nick spent a lot of time with us discussing his breeding program and his passion for the breed. Nick was very gracious in answering all of our questions. We left a few hours later with our little girl Tasha and a back seat full of all of the goodies for her that Nick took the time to explain the benefits of a top of the line food and vitamin supplements. Nick also made several follow up phone calls to make sure that all was okay and that both my husband and I and Tasha were all adjusting well. Their dogs are fostered with families and not just locked in kennels having puppies. They genuinely care about the puppy they are producing and equally care about placing the puppies appropriately for what you are looking for. My wife and I have owned one previous GSD before going to Nick and I-Guard and there is no comparison. Our experience from beginning to end was excellent Nick observed our family with a couple of his pups and recommended which one he felt was the best fit I was a little skeptical at first but after thinking it over for a night we decided to go with Nicks recommendation and it has been the best decision we have ever made regarding a pet Quin is perfect for us she has an amazing temperament she is the perfect balance between social and protective. She is incredible with the kids plays with them for hours in the yard! When my wife takes her on walks she is quick to alert if there is someone near and stays focused on that potential threat until it passes she will alert with barking and once given a command to leave it she quiets down immediately. She is great off leash we can walk the neighborhood or the park and she stays right by our side. And when it comes to looks there is NO better example of the quintessential German Shepherd then an I Guard Dog. Quins build, stance, color and poise are perfect. We have had quin go for about 6 weeks to Nicks Facility K9 Country Club for short training sessions and Day care and we have the perfect German Shepherd at 7 months. Most satisfied customer ever!!! A final note Nicks dogs and training is not the cheapest but neither is a Ferrari but if you want the best in pedigree and experience there is no equal.
